Four years ago today, Ratchet and Clank PS4 was released and it was awesome! However, it has been so long since anything has been announced for our favorite galactic duo, and I hope that the rumors about a new Ratchet and Clank game for the PS5 are true. What does the future hold in store for Ratchet and Clank? Who knows, but it would be great to return to making videos for these guys once Star Wars stops being relevant :)

Introduced in Chapter 7 of Xeno Force. She's a sarcastic emo basket case who works at the same autoshop as Ratchet. What's special about her is her ability to copy and mimic the powers of other pokemon that she touches. That is why she wears protective gloves so she can keep from accidentally absorbing stamina from humans and people. (Inspired by Negasonic Teenage Warhead)

SINCE YOU ASKED, AND ALL.

(warning for mentioning violence, abuse, sexual assault and animal death. Yes, all of that).

- I legit don't remember the main character's name, which is honestly kind of fitting given she barely has a personality outside of 'the world's punching bag'

- Basically, her life is a living hell. Her brother physically abuses her, her parents neglect her, she's severely bullied by her classmates

- A male classmate nearly rapes her

- The one small happiness in her life is an abandoned kitten she befriends. So, of course the kitten is killed when her classmates throw it in front of a train

- Long story short, the show is trying really fucking hard to out-shock Madoka and co (and look, I very much like Madoka but I can't deny I sometimes curse the legacy it's left behind with bloody awful dark magical girl shows, but that's another post for another day).

- Anyway, she's given a magical gun and ends up inadvertently murdering her bullies (she shoots at them in self-defense but didn't realise that this....idk, they disappear and show up being run over by a train like the kitten, which ?????), and so on top of everything else, she's traumatised by becoming a killer.

- There's another girl who has time stop powers because again, the show so desperately wants to be the next Madoka when in fact it's closer to the next School Days, a mantle that is not something to be proud of.

It's deeply, deeply unpleasant, there's not a single likable character, there's no charm, it very clearly doesn't understand what works for the better 'dark' magical girl shows.

-clank is scared of thunder esp after getting hit by one in the first game

-lombaxes are very affectionate and are usually multi talented and very versatile

-growing up ratchet was a troublemaker and grim lost all his nerves and patience looking after him (ratchet rarelly listened to him)

-i kinda wanna belive that there must have been some event in grims life that made him not want to have a family, im thinking smthn in the lines of ex wife and unsuccsessfull career but fuck that bc ratchet changed his life for the better

-after ratchet became famous and before he moved to bogon with clank, he stayed on veldin to help out in the garage

-lots of grims tools were kinda old so ratchet may have given him a small gift or 2

-and he may have called al and his friends to help him fix up the old garage

-after that and some advertisments, grim became a pretty well known mechanic around solana

-when he was little he would follow grim around all the time

-ratchet was pretty friendly but didnt have an abundance of friends

-even tho hes fluffy ratchet isnt the biggest fan of cold and wet weather esp due to his ears

-in extremely low temperatures clank cant function properly so he wears a scarf sometimes

-ratchet, clank and talwyn love going out to get food

-whenever tal feels down ratchet is right there to cheer her up

-i have this feeling that one of talwyns hobbies could be making clothes and she probably made some lombax themed designs

-she would spend hours talking to ratchet abt the lombaxes and he loved listening to her.. shes got a soothing voice

-most of talwyns social media is filled with posts of what they do during the day

-ratchet usually just posts lots of memes, shitposts and "serious" stuff like that

-clank has a built in phone and whenever he posts something it says "posted from: blargian defect warbot" and this is kinda like those ppl that post from their ds or smart fridge

-a while ago i did a rewrite of the movie/2016 reimagening and its kind of a mix of the 1st game and the reimagined one so i kinda wanna post some toughts on that (im not shaming any of them tho i love both the games and the movie even tho its not perfect)

Grimroth is really important

I was wondering why Ratchet was a jerk in the first game, and acted really different in the movie, and I think it's because of Grim. When they made the switch from Ratchet having no one to him having Grimroth, a lot of other changes followed. Without Grimroth: •He didn't have proper clothes •He was very skinny •He pretended he didn't care about Clank •He wasn't willing to accept that Clank cared about him •He was rude •He didn't believe he could be a hero •He's very good at fighting •He's more interested in getting revenge than helping people •All he wanted was to leave his home With Grimroth: •He wears proper clothes •He's cared about Clank from the second he saved him •He cares about people and knows and accepts that people care about him and doesn't try to hide it. •He makes an effort to listen •He wants to do more and believes he can •He needed to be trained to know how to kill things •He didn't even want to hurt Qwark. •He's happy

Me again. Just curious. What did you think of the 2016 Ratchet & Clank movie? Assuming you’ve seen it I mean. I haven’t.

Ratchet & Clank: The Movie (2016) was one of the most disappointing turn of events that the series could go to. Looking back on the movie as a whole, it's completely filled to the brim with cringe and pandering.

To start off, I want to say that you are allowed to like this movie. But as a fan of the series since the beginning, and seeing how the existence of this movie alone spurred so many arguments in and outside the community, I have nothing but pure hatred for this film. Now let's get started.

This movie is not about Ratchet or Clank. This movie is about Captain Qwark and the two side characters that are hogging his screentime. I expected there to be a lot wrong with this movie when I went to see it in theatres, but Captain Qwark being the center focus is definitely not what I was expecting.

Captain Qwark poses as the main character in a movie that definitely shouldn't be about him, Drek is an insult to the original character, and Dr. Nefarious ruins the entire film which is actually impressive since Nefarious's presence alone usually makes everything better. You know the film is bad when not even Nefarious could fix it.

The new characters— Cora, Brax, Elaris, Zed, and Grimroth— are basic and nothing special. The only character added that fans seem to have latched onto it Elaris, but the rest are clear stereotypes and have nothing remotely interesting about them. Besides the fact Cora clearly has a Tachyon symbol on her forehead but the movie completely ignores that and she shows no animosity towards Ratchet. The voice acting is also atrocious from certain characters, Cora being the worst offender for me.

The story is laughable. It doesn't take a genius to realize that the writers of the games are not the same writers of this movie. The message about capitalism being the major cause of pollution because destroying the planet gives the hungry rich man more money was decided to be simply not interesting enough. So they threw away the original story for Dr. Nefarious Being Evil For The Sake Of Being Evil. A disgrace to Ratchet & Clank 2002's story that would apply to today's climate more than ever.

Ratchet and Clank themselves are extremely bare bones. Ratchet is unrecognizable, a shell of his former self. The famous Ratchet wit is completely lost on this character in exchange for an upbeat, super cheery fanboy pretending to be the Lombax we know and love. Because of this, Ratchet and Clank never argue and never actually develop to be friends. Clank spends more time buddying up with Elaris than he does with the supposed main lead.

I haven't even mentioned that in the original, Ratchet was the one to suspect foul play with Qwark, while in this movie, they changed it to Clank being the one to suspect it. Because no matter what game it is, Ratchet must be in the wrong.

There was one (1) moment Ratchet and Clank shared that I enjoyed, which would be the scene where both are in the ship and connected by the fact both crashlanded on Veldin without a name. That's it.

In spite of this, there was some good that came from this movie, and that would be the 2016 game. Do I like this game? Not at all, I hate it actually. Buuuuut it introduced a lot of cool people into this franchise, and for that, I do respect this game.

​I guess it sounds caustic because it's in Azula's perspective. This happens very early on in Azula's reign, like a week in probably, she still hates Team Avatar and mistrusts everyone.

But then, one of the reasons I'm still working on it is because there's a lot of baggage between Azula and Aang--she did kill him after all. I'm still trying to decide if I should handwave some of it away like I handwave away most of the times each party tried to murder each other.
