@mexopolis: Ten years ago on from the day Diego Luna recorded The Book Of Life’s “The Apology Song” with Gustavo Santaolalla at his home studio in Echo Park. (x)
above all i am elated they kept Gustavo on. no one can score the haunting tones of this world like he does. can't wait to have another soundtrack to listen to.
Throughout the season, Gustavo Santaolalla’s haunting theme “Forsaken” slowly morphs into “The Last of Us (You and Me)”, which becomes Joel & Ellie’s theme during their journey.
it's been a week and i have not stopped thinking about how in the game, "the choice" theme plays when joel decides to take ellie to salt lake, but in the show it plays when ellie decides to stay with joel in the winter. it's the way they always choose each other. it's the way they're gonna put the other above themselves, no matter the circumstance, because they're each other's world.
I feel people need to talk about the soundtrack more!
It is so breathtaking and such a stunning piece of art. It has such a big impact on what makes the game so spectacular (among many other amazing factors), so happy they also used it in the HBO adaptation.
I listen to the whole soundtrack from start to finish regularly at home.
Never has walking from my living room to my kitchen been so epic. The view from my window been so aesthetic.
