Getting glazed pottery out of the kiln is always a bit nerve wracking to me. Because a lot of the time I’ve spent a long time on a piece, with sculptural elements and little details, and there’s always a chance the glaze just...won’t work. But sometimes something comes out of the kiln looking exactly like I wanted. This tea set is one of those times.
looking for a new smoking buddy? i’ve got tons of adoptable friends available in my etsy shop NOW. go check them out, and maybe add one to your family 🤤
look at this fucking bitch i just sculpted. i’ve put 20+ hours of work into this thing. the tallest spines kept breaking off. he has no legs on the other side he has no tail i am so proud of him he is my son he is more than a foot tall and two feet across i think i used close to an entire bag of clay to make this man he is a menace i took ceramics instead of physics and i do not regret it he is not anatomically correct in any way i will put pothos in him and he will be part of my end of year art exhibit i love him sm he is going to take so long to dry before i can fire him if he breaks i will cry i’ve literally never created anything this cool

I am especially in love with the little leaf on the handle. And how the small leaf on the lid points to the direction of the handle, so you don't have to fumble around trying to put it back on.
And also, I think the lid is pretty handy to use as a teabag holder :}
If I made more mugs like this one, what color/glaze would you pick for it? 🎃🌿
