An insightful article.

We have a Prime Minister who has previously said "trying to unpick our history is not the right way forward".

And an Earl, who despite spending about £1m on community projects and opening up his archives. Still has not said sorry for his own family's involvement in the enslavement and inhumane treatment of African people, their descendants. I find it interesting that the Earl has said if asked by Mr Harewood directly, he probably would say sorry.

It is essential that we engage in open dialogue and foster an environment where apologies are not just empty words but a genuine commitment to acknowledging past wrongs. By recognising the systemic injustice and pain caused by slavery and the need for an apology for the part Britain played in the enslavement of African people. Otherwise how can we move towards healing and working together towards a more inclusive future?

I encourage you to read the article and join the conversation on the importance of truth, acknowledgement, and reparations. Let us advocate for a society that embraces the complexity of our history and strives for justice and equality.
