Dear Harry,

I won't ever thank you enough. You story became my story many years ago and it still is today. On the day of your 42nd birthday, I'd like to spend a few words.

Harry, you remain, after all these years, one of the best literary protagonists I've ever heard of, I've ever read about, I've ever come to know. I really can't understand all of those people who say you're kinda too perfect, too kind, too good. You're everything but perfect, but yes, you're good, kind, gentle and this is what I love about you the most. Because you haven't ever cared about other people's thoughts, opinions, about all the tea that has always been spilled.

I recently re-listened to the first chapter of the very first book, and, though I knew it was one of my favorites, now I'm able to understand why I adore it so much. Because it's you. It's all about you. "The boy who lived", I guess, is the perfect incipit, and now I'm mature enough to understand it.

The tomarry micro trope that gets me giggling every time is when Tom is trying to find a way to make Harry immortal with him because he's THAT obsessed and that much of a simp, meanwhile Harry's either knowingly or unknowingly immortal already, either from being Tom's horcrux or being the master of death
