My Writing Masterlist

Since I post on here far more consistently then on ao3 for reasons, I figured I would compile a list of my writing for those who don't like sifting through fandoms they could care less about to get to the good stuff. 

Separated by fandom, and somewhat by trope. 

Harry Potter:

Harry eats a God. 

Harry just can't seem to stay dead. TW: Suicide, character death, frequent character death, torture, murder, disjointed snippets, discontinued + Harry dissociates. Connected, same warnings may apply. 

First Encounters: Time loop, Voldemort-as-Quirrell visits the Dursleys and is less than pleased. 

First Encounters: The first time Harry meets Voldemort, the man he's been trained to kill all his life, he's nineteen, and Voldemort recognizes him. 

Prisoner Harry tells Voldemort about the Dursleys like it's a bedtime story. 

Except for the incident, Harry really doesn't tend to talk a lot when he has a concussion. Stream of thought narrative, character injury.

Literally just Empath!Harry spoilers. Harry, at his trial, allowing himself be petty to an extent. 

Harry gets drunk, pulled into Voldemort's mind, and decides he wants to share his good mood.

Harry and Voldemort have to complete a task based on the colour of the others' robes, for some reason?

Harry is kidnapped and wakes up in an incredibly comfortable bed. Voldemorts knows Harry is his horcrux.

Harry ruthlessly defends Hogwarts against encroaching Death Eaters. Sixth Year.

First Encounters: The Hale pack summons Stiles to the past. 

First Encounters: The first time Stiles meets Peter he is drunk. Stiles is a rude, very straight-forward drunk who steps all over issues like dead family and psychosis. It’s like he had a minefield map and is intentionally stepping on every trigger.

Stiles pulls back because he doesn't want Peter to mess up his dress shirt, not because he doesn't want the bite.

Harry Potter: Tom Riddle/ Harry Potter, Graphic Depictions of Violence, E, 35k, Canon divergence, Enemies to Lovers

So Harrymort is a pretty fucked up ship just inherently. That's a feature, not a bug, IMO. There are some pretty incredible fic that really lean on that fuckedupness in a big way. In this fic, though, it's a little more insidious. Harry is trapped in a greenhouse with Voldemort and slowly begins to soften towards him.

The whole fic has a dreamy confused atmosphere. Harry is always off-balance, slowly giving in to the influence of Voldemort. The author suggests in the tags that it's Stockholm syndrome (which is famously a fake condition invented by people covering up a case where the kidnappers were kinder to their captives then the 'good guys' were. The 'good guys' were pretty horrible to Harry.).

This is one of those fics that sticks with you. It's kind of unsettling, kind of uncomfy, and yet beautiful.

I'm usually more into harrymort age gap stuff (as u can all probably fucking tell lmfao) but I'm obsessed with Tom as J.D. and I think Harry's personality matches up pretty well with Veronica so of course I spiralled from there ♡

8. if you had to write a sequel to a fic, you'd write one for...

Well, I mean, I haven't posted that many fics, but obvs my main fic is gonna have a sequel post 6th year. Quick warning, as you fall WILL leave on a cliffhanger.

But if I were to choose a general, random tomarry fic to write a sequel for, it would be this one fic I read years ago that really needs a sequel in my mind. I might actually do it one day. Like, a short 20k one shot. Maybe.

I'm rereading the mirror of eidrokcuf by kayliana for like the millionth time rn. Also an unexpected turn of events by lily_for_real and Paul, Richard, or Tom by Chaos_Bear. I love all of those fics.

Oh my fucking god. Yes! Here it is! It won't ever happen but when I was first plotting out the fic months ago this was where my mind went off to.

("Wait!" Harry sputters out, shocked. "You want to give me to him? Like, so he owns me? I'm not some toy to be kept!"

A dark chuckle, and a smug grin from the man sitting behind him, with not a care in the world. "Oh, Harry, darling, that isn't the kind of ownership we're talking about."

His stomach dropped and fluttered at the same time. Harry was pretty sure he was completely spazzed out, and if this meant what he thought it did, then what did that mean for them...?

"Marriage, Harry." Dumbledore finally spoke. "You will be given to Tom in marriage." The man looked undoubtedly sad, in some convoluted way. And if Harry wasn't absolutely certain that Dumbledore thought this treaty was worth it for the greater good, then he may have believed it was genuine.

Favorite character:  Bellatrix Lestrange and Voldemort. No, I don’t have one favourite. Bella is the closest to my heart, but apparently I waste the most brainmatter on Tom/Voldemort, so *shrugs* Harry is my favourite light character, he’s an admirable person.

Least Favorite character:  Umbridge, as is universally accepted.

5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): Bellamort (which is canon, bitches) Delphi/Harry (it will become canon, you just wait for TCC part3) Tomarry but not Harrymort(nearly counts as canon judging by how often Harry comments on Tom’s looks) Drarry  Delphi/Victoire

Character I find most attractive: Bellatrix, hands down. Then Voldemort can do things to me too, but Bella would be my first choice. 

Character I would marry: No one, I’m happy by myself. Delphi can be my angsty fuck buddy with whom we meet every once in a while, bitch, get drunk, cry and fuck. 

Character I would be best friends with: Harry, tho I’m not the best of friends and his friends do have a high mortality rate for my taste. I wouldn’t mind if Voldemort killed me tho, so *shrugs*

a random thought: The wizarding world makes zero sense in so many places. They haven’t had an Industrial Revolution and they seem to be stuck in the Middle Ages in many ways, even if they dont seem extremely Christian as these times actually were. It’s really confusing. As for their economy? How does that even work if you can conjure a chair out of thin air, or replicate food? 

An unpopular opinion:  Idk what’s unpopular these days. Aside from Albus’ name, I actually liked the Epilogue. In contrast to what people thing, it doesn;t show *everything* that happened after the war, meaning it’s no obliged to show the PTSD and the fights and the pain. It just passes the message: depsite everything, in the end they were happy. Not always and not easily, but they lived, and built and did good. And that’s not always possible with survivors. It’s our job as fans to add the rest, all the author needed to do was say ‘yes, they made it out okay.”

My Canon OTP: BELLAMORT Seriously, I have screenshoted the details of TCC where it shows they’re canon. 

My Non-canon OTP: Harry/Delphi

Most Badass Character: Bellatrix, handsdown.  McGonagall out of the good people. 

Most Epic Villain: Voldemort, we’d have no books without him. He can be dumb, but it’s cute.

Pairing I am not a fan of: I’m not huge in non-canon Hermione ships, and anything with Snape is gross.

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): ...Snape? Not his character, but the light she gave him by naming Harry’s kid after him. It appeared she was clear on him not being an admirable person, but then he’s the bravest bloke ever? No, ma’am. 

Favourite Friendship: The Golden Trio, they work as a three-man-group better, I won’t devide them. 

Character I most identify with: PostAzkaban!Bellatrix feels she’s letting her master and herself down, and so do it. I keep looking for my former self. Who wasn’t much after all, but had some qualities I should recultivate. 

Character I wish I could be: ... I’d like to have some Bellamort qualities that I lack, but in general I’m fine working on myself.  

002 | Send me a ship and I will tell you:

When I started shipping them:  After I finished the books, so that’s since 2007, 13 cool, angsty years. 

My thoughts: I love them, they’re my evil babies. In fact, I don’t even have reasons for loving them, as most shippers do, I’d just die for them. 

What makes me happy about them: That theyre complicately made for each other in their unique goth way. And that in the end they had a kid, which I think helped Voldemort out a lot with his issues with intimacy and emotions. 

What makes me sad about them:  That they died *sobs hysterically*. Also that they’re proud idiots who don’t communicate well. Also in the books they have like two scenes together. (HE SCREAMED THO)

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: Seeing Bella’s character butchered down to a snivelling, slavish idiot, though these aren’t Bellamort fics usually.  In Bellamort fics, it feels like a cheat when it says Bellamort but it’s just Bella pining and Voldemort really not caring. I don’t have a problem with the POV, but it needs to be tagged as unrequited. Otherwise I’m open to perspectives. 

Things I look for in fanfic: Good writing, mostly. I’m also a huge fan of Muggle!AU’s, so if you have that, I’ll read it, no questions asked XD

My wishlist: On Amazon? :P I presume this means wishlist on fics/art with these two, but do correct me if I’m wrong. I dont have one, since I write myself, so whatever I want to read, I write. Right now I’m on a bit of a writing hiatus (but don’t take my word for it, my emotional world is fucking rollercoaster), but at some point I’d like to see a mermaid!AU and a lot of exploration between Voldemort and his mother, while Bella holds his hand. 

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Alone and miserable. I guess Bella would have been okay with Rodolphus, had Tom/Voldemort never been born.  And Voldemort/Tom would have been fine too with some nameless pretty woman he did not love but had to marry to keep face.  But I think that they would have never been truly happy with anyone else. especially Tom, he’d never be really comfortable with anyone. 

My happily ever after for them: VoldemortWins!AU, they conquer Europe, Bella is Minister for War, Voldemort the Emperor. Maybe they have a kid, maybe a couple more or none at all, who cares, the point is they live and fulfull their dreams of revolutionising the Wizarding Wolrd.  I also have a sappy afterlife!AU where for a while Bella is imprisoned at the family castle for having a halfblood little bastard, goes half-insane, as Voldemort searches for her (they had a spat right after they got there), and Delphi kills herself and goes to find her dad in small-child form. They finally get tgether and live death happily ever after in some Norwegian fjord in the frozen tundra. (it’s also my personal happy ending, only it’s cats and snakes)

003 | Give me a character & I will tell you:

How I feel about this character: I love Bella. She’s a bitch and a sadist, but I love her. 

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: The one and only, his majesty the Dark Lord himself. 

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: Rodolphus, he’s her only friend.  Also, sad HC: Bella was very close to Andromeda until she got too involved with Voldemort and his cause, and they drifted apart. No one wept harder than Bella after Andy left, and it was her who spent days banging on the Tonks’ door to let them speak to her. Voldy could squeeze tears out of his shirt after she fell asleep crying about it. 

My unpopular opinion about this character: Again, not sure about unpopular.  I believe she suffers from genuine mental illness that tortures her a lot and makes her life (and her shared life with Voldemort too) very hard. Also I find her more self-doubting and reserved than most authors, hard working and largely indifferent to people who aren’t Voldemort. 

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: Actual romantic scene would have been nice, but HE SCREAMED after all. Let’s not ask for too much. 

Favorite friendship for this character: Rodolphus and Andromeda. Recently I’ve started Brotp-ing Sirius with Bella too, before they parted ways. 

My crossover ship: I don’t really have any other fandoms, but I have been exploring the world of the Witcher as of late, so I’d love a showdown between Bella and Yen. It’d be so hot.

All he could really say about this shite was that it hadn’t even been a muggleborn who had been the cause of everything. As they’d grown up in the muggle side, they knew how to get by and what to avoid. But of course a Pureblood would consider themselves too good to learn about the muggle world. This was why Hermione insisted on all magically-raised children attending muggle Studies, even if the class was behind the present times back when they were still in school.

The ironic bit was that Lucius Malfoy had been the whole cause of this. On some ridiculous, self-directed plan to find Harry on his own and present him to Voldemort during the summer, he’d been caught by the CCTV on the street nearest to The Leaky Cauldron.

Arabella Figg had been the one to alert the magical side of the new events by sending Harry a rushed letter full of terrified words that barely made any sense. Thankfully, she’d attached a clipping from a muggle paper where it pretty much spelled everything out as photos of Lucius Malfoy covered the front page, the date prominent on the bottom corner, showing empty space one second, and then showing the blond wizard a second later.

MAGIC REAL! WIZARDS LIVING AMONG US EXPOSED!

It all started with a rushed order that every family ‘hiding’ magical people, should turn them in, or turn in any evidence they had of the existence of magic. The order had gone out three days in advance of a sudden flooding of law enforcement all over Britain. Permission had been granted for them to ransack every home no matter the inhabitants, and search for proof of magic. And if any was found and hadn’t been given up already, it would be confiscated and the entire household would be put under arrest.

Claims of treason against the Crown were being thrown about in Britain!

The clipping Mrs. Figg had provided him with also had a list of the villages where wizards were known to live in the UK. There had already been a plan set in motion to extract the muggles from the villages and if the magicals refused to cooperate, then the muggle law enforcement was given leave to use lethal force.

Harry, by the time he’d received the letter, had only had less that twenty-four hours left to get those villages evacuated lest the muggles started dropping bombs or raining bullets down on the innocent people living within.

And the thing was, he wasn’t working for the Ministry. He wasn’t an Auror. He was a bloody DADA Professor! He was trying to teach the children to protect themselves from Voldemort and his ridiculous, terroristic faction! Being an Auror wouldn’t have helped them in the least. And it wasn’t his bloody job to save everyone anyway!

Still, Harry remembered the emergency assembly he had to call. He wasn’t the Headmaster or the Deputy Head, but he still had a certain level of power as Gryffindor’s Head of House. And when he’d set off the magical alarms, he knew he’d need a good reason for it.

All 1,017 students had gathered in the Great Hall, clad only in their PJs and housecoats, and looking tired as hell. He’d felt bad, but knew there were more important things going on than getting a full night’s sleep.

He had the memory of that night stored in a cupboard now.

“I know it’s late and you want nothing to do with being awake now, but I need your help. Thanks to Lucius Malfoy stalking me about London on 3 August, in search of my place of residence, the muggle CCTV caught him doing magic near The Leaky Cauldron. And it raised questions in the government, and they proceeded to poke around that area and found the entrance to Diagon Alley, even if they can’t get in yet.”

He remembered the tired faces becoming more awake as they processed what he had been saying.

“Eventually they realised they needed more information and if these people doing magic were walking among them so easily, then they must be living in Great Britain for however long. They have made it mandatory for all muggles to give up anyone or anything magical that they know of, or risk prison time. They have been taking into custody all wizards they find, plus their possessions. Front page news two days ago showed Lucius Malfoy’s face and a list of all the villages in Great Britain that wizards are known to inhabit. The muggle inhabitants are being escorted out as we speak and the government plans to use lethal force if the magicals do not turn themselves in when the order is given at five this afternoon.”

There had been a deathly silence following his words. He could tell those not Pureblooded understood how dire the situation was. And his fellow teachers did as well. Snape looked ready to spit fire.

“For those who are still confused over why we have to worry, think of it this way. Muggles have weapons called bombs that can do mass damage in little time. They’ve used them in the World Wars. Think of a single Bombard Maxima powerful enough to blow all of Hogsmeade up and leave nothing but bricks and ashes behind. Muggles have access to these weapons and they are currently an option. There are now 7 Billion humans on Earth. Magical humans only make up 1% of that. They outnumber us, and that’s why they’re evacuating their people from of the villages. They are very willing to destroy their own land if compliance isn’t given.

“I need all of you to send these pre-written letters to your parents warning them to pack up their things and come here. All of them. I don’t care if your family is Dark. I don’t care if there are Death Eaters among the lot. Right now, I’m sad to say hat muggles are the enemy now until further notice. All other countries are also taking up arms against magicals. There is no more time us to be at each other’s throats over differing opinions. We can’t afford that now. I will be heading to Diagon Alley to get The Daily Prophet on this immediately. No shield is strong enough to withstand a bomb let alone many. As Hogwarts is Unplottable, it is the only safe place other than Gringotts, left in our immediate community. And you’ll have a better chance being allowed in here than in there.”

He’d left then, not even taking a moment to explain to McGonagall everything. They’d had their own evacuations to do.

And, for the first time ever, Harry had to do something he never thought he would willingly do. He opened up the link between he and Voldemort and called out to the man as hard as he could mentally.

The high-pitched whisper of Voldemort’s mind had permeated Harry’s own. It sounded almost mocking in a sense, despite the shock ringing true in it.

How lovely to hear from you, Harry. The way he said Harry’s name had always made Harry feel strange and this time was no different. To what do I owe the rare pleasure of your company?

Your minion fucked us all over, was Harry’s response.

As they were connected emotionally as well as mentally, Voldemort could feel Harry’s urgency, and his teasing bled away instantly. What happened?

Persisting in telling your minions that muggles are no threat to us is what lead to Malfoy Sr. of all people, exposing us and now they have endless amount of our people in custody, but also their possessions, and they are planning on open fire in any way possible, on all the villages our people reside in once the muggles therein are evacuated. The operation will begin at five this afternoon. And this all leads back to your minion not being bloody careful while stalking my arse through London!

Voldemort was silent for several moments. Enough time for Harry to make it through the Floo in his office, to The Daily Prophet Headquarters. He had a love-hate relationship with the place, but if needs must.

You are already begun to plan, Voldemort noted, sounding interested.

Everyone to Hogwarts. I don’t know how the other magical communities are going to handle this, but this is how I’ve decided to. You can either join us or not, but the offer was extended to the children already, and they’ve been told to tell their families with letters I’ve written up for them.

You’d work with me of all people?

Better you than being blown to bits. You lived through the Blitz, you should know how bad this situation is! You should know that we do not have time for petty squabbles right now!

Voldemort went silent for several more moments, which allowed Harry to burst into the Chief Editor’s office without warning, frightening the man inside in the process.

I will see you soon, were the Dark Lord’s parting words.

And that had been that.

The enchantments on Hogwarts had been strengthened and extended even further just to be on the safe side. And all roads leading anywhere near the mountains were quickly overrun with plant-life and hidden. Hogsmeade had been evacuated and bespelled to look like a common forest. Voldemort had been the one to do that bit of magic and admittedly it had been fascinating.

Several people added their power to Hogwarts’ Ward Stone. Not only was the magical of the former Heads within it, but joining them now were Harry, Voldemort, Snape, Flitwick, Hermione, and Kingsley for added protections.

The crisis hadn’t been fully averted as some couldn’t be reached no matter how hard they worked with the House Elves and Owls to alert everyone. And as Harry predicted, several villages were no more and hundreds of magical beings were dead.

Oddly though, may of the common muggle population felt that the governments were overreacting to the revelation of magic. Many were enraged over their homes being ransacked and destroyed. In only a month of time, extremists arose on the muggle side. A faction if it could be called that considering how large it was.

More than half of the known world wanted things to go back to normal. Wanted magical people and creatures to be freed. Wanted law enforcement to stop being the very things they claimed magicals to be. And that was Terrorists.

Numbers were rising by the day. 4B+ people agreed with this line of thinking. That was more than half the humans alive. And that had been the most shocking to the magicals all over the world.

The unfortunate part was that despite so many speaking out, the governments had the weapons of mass destruction on their side, so insurgency wouldn’t do much without the firepower to back up their words.

It had all gone to shite. And Harry could only imagine what was being done to the capture magical beings. He’d seen some muggle films before. He knew it wasn’t good.

The only other somewhat decent thing in this, was the fact that Voldemort couldn’t gloat about muggles being horrible when it was obvious that it was mostly the governments, and those who were religious nutjobs behind this trauma. The fact that more than half the muggles didn’t agree and were vocal about it, had stunned many of the magical population all over the world.

It was a chance Harry used to impress upon the people of their community that ever group would always have bad eggs, but that shouldn’t reflect on the whole group.

Day 227 since magic had been exposed because of one pompous twat(who had been taken to task very painfully or so Harry’s heard). That was two hundred and twenty-seven days of their community living in constant unease and fear over what could happen. Jobs having to be maintained from the safety of Hogwarts. The castle magically expanding itself to fit the most of Magical Britain’s people.

Fifty thousand people under one massive roof. The poor House Elves. The amount of work involved in the upkeep of the castle. The amount of spontaneous classes on household magic so that everyone could contribute to the best of their ability without anyone being overworked.

Most of Diagon Alley was gone save for some buildings left standing in the rubble. The mumggles still couldn’t get in or see what happened, but the devastation was heartbreaking.

And through it all, Voldemort was up Harry’s arse nonstop. Wherever he went, the man was not far behind. Literally. Always around Harry. Some rubbish about them being the only true leaders of their community. Kingsley wasn’t even considered as a Ministry representative in the Dark Lord’s mind. Voldemort didn’t care for him at all.

Voldemort had been annoying for many reasons before. Now all Harry could think of was his snakey shadow that stalked him all the time. More annoying than bloody murder!

Day 283 of being cramped inside Hogwarts. In so little time, beliefs and assumptions had been challenged. Misinformation had been corrected. Harry had learned more about Voldemort’s goals and the truth behind many of his actions. Dumbledore apparently had a habit of thinking he knew everything and therefore didn’t consider much else beyond his choices or assumptions in the long run.

Basically, the old codger had been wrong about a lot of things.

That didn’t mean the Death Eaters as a whole were okay though. Most were still prejudiced arseholes and needed to have said arses kicked repeatedly to rid them of their idiotic traditions, but it was nowhere near as bad as Harry had been lead to believe, and seemed like it could be reversible with enough work.

And if Voldemort was going to flirt with him so much, it truly seemed like reversing this shite was possible.

Harry didn’t fancy himself the saviour everyone had always wanted him to be, but the opportunity to mellow Voldemort out couldn’t be passed up. If there was a way to calm down the Dark Lording a bit and make him less inclined to violence for the sake of cruelty, Harry would be thrilled.

Besides… he was kind of into the slender, serpentine appearance. The forked tongue and slittled eyes were pretty arousing.

“Who knew it would take muggles and bombs and a planned, world revolution for this to happen?”

Voldemort’s chilly hands massaged the bare skin of Harry’s lower back, the differences in their body temperatures making gooseflesh pop up all over the younger wizard’s body. It was a good feeling though, and Harry snuggled closer as his body warmed up with interest.

“You’re still a cockwomble, but a more tolerant one now.”

“Brat.”

“Wanker.”

Voldemort rolled them over so he could be on top. His slitted pupils didn’t contract in the least with the shift of lighting hitting his face. It was kind of ominous and also really fucking hot. “You have your list of marks prepared?”

“Yes,” he groaned. “I know whose block I’m knocking off in the morning.”

After enough time, they finally were able to make a full list of all the British leaders set on enslaving the magical population. As with everything, not everyone in the government was a terrible person. It simply took time and effort to separate the good from the bad. Weeding out the rotten roots so to speak.

While muggles had guns and bombs, they couldn’t really build anything to sense when magic was being used, so there was still a chance to overthrow them. But Harry had argued, at least for Magical Britain, that they should only kill off the people that absolutely deserved it, and imprison the rest. More than half the muggle population was on their side anyway. In the meantime, those who had been wrongfully imprisoned would finally see daylight for the first time in 345 days. Magicals and muggles alike.

Further action would have to be sorted out later. For now, this was the best plan they had to return to the relatively safe world they’d formerly been living in..

“No entertaining notions of grandeur, Voldy. We’re moving on from that entirely.”

“If I agree will you stop calling me that?”

“No. But I’ll go down on you more often.”

“Then you have my word, my soul.”

Trying to use romantic terms to get on Harry’s good side. “Flattery will keep you in my bed.”

“If I recall correctly, this is my bed in my room, my soul.”

“Details, details.”

Tomorrow would be the tension and the danger, but for now, they could relax for a little bit.

A/N: What am I even doing with my life?

So, I hit a pretty low point during our most recent move, and ended up on AO3, snooping through the Tomarry/Harrymort tags (I don't discriminate which form our favourite Dark Lord takes), and got the urge to write something for the ship again. My one WiP wasn't really sparking anything, so I fell back on a new/old favourite trope.

I'm not sure how I feel about this piece. Like, it feels very 'bleh' and a little 'where the actual fuck was I going with this?', but it's also been way too long since I've had the time/energy/ideas to get any serious writing done, and I'm just generally relieved to have got something written. *throws fic up places and goes back to unpacking*

While it wasn't really considered polite to read the names written on others' wrists, it wasn't always easy to ignore, especially when, as was true with Tom, you didn't have a name of his own.

Before Hogwarts, it hadn't been that odd, honestly, as something like half of people were born more than a year before their soulmate, and Tom hadn't been the only child at the orphanage to reach eleven without a name on his wrist, and nor would he be the only one at Hogwarts, or even the only one in Slytherin House.

As he got older, however, people started to notice, started to comment.

"I don't have a soulmate," Tom decided at some point during his fifth year, and ignored the sympathetic looks the comment garnered.

(It was usual, but not impossible, especially when civilians – when pregnant women – were counted among the victims of war.)

Tom decided he was fine with that, that he much preferred not having to fit some unknown child into his plans for world domination.

So he graduated Hogwarts, split his soul a few times, built up an army, and went to war with the world.

When Tom – Voldemort, now, because he'd long since discarded his muggle father's name – was fifty-three and still reeling a bit from the warning that a child would be born soon that could defeat him, a name finally appeared on his wrist: Harry James Potter.

He knew exactly who was prophesied to defeat him, and he had no intention in letting some child destroy all he'd fought for, soulmate or no.

Harry, according to his aunt and uncle, had been born a freak. By the time he got his Hogwarts letter, he knew every possible slur for homosexuality and had long since learnt to keep Tom Marvolo Riddle's name on his wrist hidden.

In his second year, he found out who his soulmate was, and spent the whole of his summer mourning the loss of the happy escape from his relatives that he'd sometimes allowed himself to dream of. Because his soulmate would be far more inclined to kill him, than save him.

He couldn't say why he didn't go to the headmaster for help. Shock, probably, or the certainty that he would be spurned. (It was certainly that last that kept him from sharing with Ron or Hermione, because they might have accepted he was gay, but they'd never accept that he was gay for Voldemort.)

When he got tossed into the tournament his fourth year, though, when he lost Ron and became the pariah of the school, he quilled a letter to his godfather. Mostly because he needed an adult that was wholly on his side, but also because he knew there was only one person who could have been cruel enough to enter his name into a tournament that would almost certainly kill him, and he needed to know: 'What do you do when your soulmate wants you dead?'

Sirius' response had been a joking 'Hex them first', which was so utterly unhelpful, Harry had thrown the letter in the fireplace in the common room.

But, when Sirius firecalled him, supposedly to talk about the dragons, his expression was grim in a way Harry hadn't been certain he could be. "It's Voldemort, isn't it?" Sirius asked, after Harry promised they were alone. "Your soulmate."

And Harry had felt cold and terrified and so very certain that he was going to lose one of the few people in his life that gave a damn about him. But he nodded and somehow managed to choke out, "Yeah."

Sirius closed his eyes and let out a long, harsh breath that blew out a cloud of ashes. "Okay," he said, and opened his eyes, looked up at Harry with a sort of warmth that brought tears to Harry's eyes. "Okay," he said again, then, "that's pretty shitty. Fate is a giant bitch."

And Harry wasn't certain if the sound he made was a laugh or a sob, but Sirius was still there, wasn't calling him those terrible names he'd grown up with.

He hadn't lost Sirius.

Sirius was quiet for a moment, like he knew Harry needed a bit to gather himself, to get over the fact that Sirius was still there, and then he said, "You know who your soulmate is, is never going to change how much I love you."

Harry definitely sobbed, then, but he also nodded, even though he hadn't known, had desperately needed the reassurance. Because he'd spent so much of his life being hated for the gender of his soulmate, and Ron had turned on him because of a tournament; why wouldn't Sirius turn on him because of who his soulmate was?

But Sirius didn't. He stayed, and he let Harry calm down again, and they talked a bit about the tournament. And when they got interrupted by Ron, Harry still had a dozen questions, and he had no idea what Sirius had thought of to help him with the dragon, but he still felt so much lighter than he had done in...years.

'I think I know, now, why Voldemort's Killing Curse failed,' Sirius wrote in his last letter before the final task. 'I had to check a few books to be certain, because it's not particularly common for witches and wizards to be so desperately at odds with their soulmate, but it's happened before. And all the stories have it that soulmates can't kill each other with their own hands, not with intention. So he could probably ask a Death Eater to kill you, or one of you can accidentally knock over a pillar that falls and crushes the other to death, but the Killing Curse won't work. Which is kind of a cold comfort, I know, but it's better than nothing.'

Harry knew, from his own reading the summer after second year, that the same didn't hold true for muggle soulmates, so he assumed it had something to do with their magic. And Sirius was right, it was a cold comfort, but it was better than the certainty he'd had that Voldemort would kill him the moment they saw each other again. Assuming he didn't die during the tournament, first.

And, when Voldemort stepped out of a cauldron and turned to where Harry had been tied to a grave, smiling wide and cruel, Harry smiled right back and said, "You can't kill me."

Voldemort's expression twitched all over, like he was struggling to keep his cruel smile in place, and then he raised his wand and pointed it at Harry. "We shall see about that. Avada–"

"We're not muggles!" Harry shouted, more than a little terrified, because he didn't really want to test the soulmate protection; didn't want to know if the killing curse hurt, didn't want to see if the spell would backfire again, didn't want to know what hell Voldemort would make him suffer while he attempted to get a body again.

Voldemort had stopped the curse, though. Was glaring at Harry like he expected him to explain himself.

Harry swallowed, then shifted in his bonds, held forward his right wrist and the damning name hidden under the wrap he'd worn his whole life. "Magical soulmates can't kill each other. Tom."

"Crucio," Voldemort snarled. And it hurt, dear Merlin it hurt, like molten lava through his veins.

The curse stopped, leaving Harry slumped in his bonds, dry heaving and gasping on sobs. Surely, death would have been kinder.

Cold fingers pressed under his chin, pushing up, until he was looking up at Voldemort, meeting his cold stare. He felt the beginnings of a headache – different from the sort his scar acting up would leave him with, more like the ones he got when he spent too long trying to read by candlelight – and hated that it would happen now.

"You're not lying," Voldemort murmured, and let Harry go. "Irritating."

And then Harry's bonds fell away, and he crumpled to the ground as Voldemort dropped his wand in front of him. "The Cup will return you to Hogwarts," he said, and turned away. Like he thought Harry wasn't a threat.

"Master," Wormtail whimpered, still clutching at the stump where his hand had been.

Harry didn't wait to see if Voldemort would change his mind, he just grabbed up his wand and scrambled over to Cedric's cold body, then summoned the Cup and let it take them away.

It wouldn't be until much, much later, long after Madam Pomfrey had kicked out all the visitors and dimmed the lights, that Harry would let himself wonder at his future.

By the last day of term, he was a pariah again, as everyone in the school had somehow discovered who his soulmate was. Whether it was due to Voldemort's own machinations or the false Moody absconding with the wrap that had hidden the name on his wrist before his death, he couldn't say, and he wasn't certain he cared as he settled into a carriage all by himself; even his best friends had abandoned him.

He met the Dursleys at the station, same as ever, and followed them out to the waiting car.

But there, leaning against the bonnet, was a tall man with salt-and-pepper hair and piercing red eyes. Harry felt his eyes widen, recognising Voldemort as much by his similarity to the Tom Riddle of the diary, as by the colour of his eyes.

"Who the bloody–" Uncle Vernon started, gone purple in indignation.

"Be silent, muggle," Voldemort ordered, straightening to his full height.

All of the Dursleys turned to Harry with accusation in their eyes, as though he'd planned for the Dark Lord to hunt him down. Harry sighed, tired after the past two weeks of strain, and asked, "Why are you here?"

Voldemort's eyes narrowed and he looked Harry up and down, taking Merlin knew what from the loose fit of his summer clothing and the dark shadows he knew were under his eyes; between the outcome of the tournament and the cold shoulders of his schoolmates, Harry's unconscious had had plenty of fodder to haunt his sleep.

"Boy," Uncle Vernon hissed, reaching for Harry in a way he probably thought looked friendly – he'd grab Dudley's shoulder in a show of pride and companionship, sometimes – but Harry knew better, and he couldn't stop a flinch at the approach of his uncle's hand.

Liquid sprayed across the side of Harry's face before Uncle Vernon could touch him, and everything seemed to freeze for a second, held in stasis by the power of disbelief.

And then Aunt Petunia screamed, and Uncle Vernon howled, and Harry was shoved back, out of the way, as Dudley and Aunt Petunia tried desperately to stop the blood flowing from Uncle Vernon's wrist.

Harry's stomach churned, and he thought he might be sick. But, too, offsetting the horror was something that felt a little too much like glee. As though the sight of his uncle with one hand cut off was something he found pleasure in.

A hand slid against Harry's cheek, probably smearing the blood, and he looked up, was a little surprised to find that Voldemort was right next to him. "I will not have muggles touching what is mine," he said, quiet and firm. As though there was no question that he'd been in the right.

Something in Harry snapped, and he reached up and shoved the Dark Lord away, took pleasure in watching the man stumble back a step. "What the hell?! I'm not your damn property!"

Voldemort grabbed Harry's right wrist in a grip that almost hurt, fingers pressed tight against the poorly-cut piece of fabric that Harry had cobbled together to cover the damning name. He used the hold to pull Harry uncomfortably close. "But my name is on your wrist, is it not?" Voldemort murmured, quiet and low.

Harry shuddered, tried to convince himself he was horrified, not– Not whatever else. "That doesn't– That's not what it means," Harry tried. And then he looked away, towards his family.

Others had come to help, including a couple of police, but none of them were paying a bit of attention to Harry and Voldemort. It was as though they just weren't there.

Cold fingers caught Harry's chin, the grip firm, but not quite enough to hurt, and turned him back to look at Voldemort. "And what does it mean, then?" He smiled, that same wide, cruel smile from in the graveyard. "Love, per chance?"

The way Voldemort said 'love' made it clear he thought that was as likely as a muggle picking up a wand and casting advanced magic.

Harry swallowed, tried desperately to come up with a response, even though he'd been struggling with what joke fate had been playing when she'd made him and Voldemort soulmates for years.

And then he caught sight of his name written on Voldemort's own wrist, just barely in view with the way the man's wrist was angled, and Harry reached up and grabbed that wrist, holding it the same way as Voldemort was holding his own. "If I'm property," he heard himself say, "then so are you. You're mine. And I–"

And then his brain caught up with his mouth and he stopped talking, because what the hell was that?

"And you?" Voldemort prompted, and Harry thought he sounded a little amused. Like maybe this was all some sort of colossal joke to him.

Rage burned through Harry's uncertainty and he tightened his fingers around Voldemort's wrist, digging his nails into skin hard enough to leave marks. "I won't let you hurt anyone else. I'll stop– No. I'll punish you."

Voldemort threw his head back and laughed, loud and terrible and delighted. Like he was glad Harry was threatening him.

And then Voldemort stopped laughing, as abrupt as he'd started, and he leant in too close, when he said, "Promises, Harry," the words fanned out over Harry's lips.

And then Voldemort was gone, leaving Harry standing alone on the edge of the chaos where Uncle Vernon was being levered up into an ambulance, Aunt Petunia doing her best to chivvy Dudley towards the car, through the crowd, so they could follow.

Aunt Petunia's eyes met his for one moment, and Harry almost stumbled at the soul-searing rage he found aimed at himself.

He turned away, picked his trunk back up, and went in search of somewhere quieter to call the knight bus.

When Aunt Petunia and Dudley finally got home that night, before Dudley could try to punch him or Aunt Petunia could threaten to lock him in the cupboard, he said, "I can't control my soulmate."

"Dudley, no," Aunt Petunia hissed, and grabbed Dudley's arm before he could throw the punch Harry could tell he was itching to.

Harry flipped the page of the schoolbook he'd been attempting to read while he waited for them to get home. "Let's agree to just all ignore each other this summer. I think that's safest all around."

"Why not just go stay with him," Aunt Petunia spat.

Harry closed his eyes and shook his head, feeling weeks of interrupted sleep and the taste of blood on his lips weighing heavy on his shoulder. He didn't have a good answer – was fairly certain she wouldn't care anyway – so he didn't bother responding, just closed his book and brushed past them to retreat to his room.

"I'm not afraid of your pansy boyfriend," Dudley snapped before Harry could start up the stairs.

Aunt Petunia let out a sound that might have been a whimper, and Harry looked back at his cousin, feeling numb. "Dudley," he heard himself say, "for the sake of your own life, at least pretend you are." And then he continued up the stairs to his room, leaving it for his aunt to convince Dudley that he needed to behave.

Voldemort never visited the Dursleys' house, and Uncle Vernon seemed perfectly happy to follow Aunt Petunia's lead in pretending Harry didn't exist, once he got released from hospital. Harry made it easy for them by spending most of the summer in his room, waiting for owls that never came.

(Not completely accurate; Sirius wrote him a few times, but his letters were brief things, almost like he was only checking in because he felt he had to. Next to the continued silence from his friends, the distance hurt. More so when Harry's first and only question about if he might visit with Sirius for a bit, get away from his relatives, was met with a flat 'No'.)

So the summer dragged, and Harry was left way too often with his own thoughts. With the memories of desperate terror in a graveyard and furious bravery in a carpark to think over. With the heavy silence of a home where he wasn't wanted, the certainty that he'd face the same when he returned to Hogwarts for term.

When Harry was let off at King's Cross on the first of September, Voldemort was waiting for him, leaning back against the wall next to the doors into the building.

"Why are you here?" Harry asked once he'd reached the man, same as he'd done at the start of the summer.

Voldemort looked him over the same way as he'd done the last time Harry had asked that question, his mouth drawn into a tight, almost unhappy, line.

Harry eventually sighed and turned to continue into the station, because he was in danger of missing his train, else.

"I came for what's mine," Voldemort said at last.

Harry turned a tired glare on the Dark Lord. "I'm not your–"

"Property?" Voldemort interrupted, and then he pushed away from the building and stepped forward, stopping just a little bit too close. "But isn't that what your schoolmates will assume?"

Like a bucket of ice dropped over his head, the words froze him down to his bone marrow.

He already knew how his schoolmates would react if they wanted to hate him, had suffered those hard looks and silent threats because of first the Chamber, and then the tournament. But, if they thought they could use him to get to Voldemort...

"Did you spread it?" Harry choked out, because he'd wondered since he'd first found out the school knew, needed to know now how angry he should be, how much danger his own soulmate had put him in. "Were you– Did you tell your followers, your Death Eaters, to pass on to their children? Did you–?"

Cold hands cupped Harry's cheeks, and he stared up at Voldemort through wet eyes as he quietly said, "I didn't. If I wanted you dead, you would know it."

And Harry, as much as he didn't want to believe a single word out of Voldemort's mouth, had to admit that sounded far more truthful.

"I would never take Hogwarts from you, my Harry," Voldemort added, his voice quiet and almost sad.

Harry remembered the way the Tom Riddle of the diary had gone to such lengths to keep from having to go home over the summer, how attached he'd seemed to Hogwarts; the castle had been as much his home, his safe haven, as it was Harry's.

Had been Harry's.

He swallowed and closed his eyes, let fall the tears that had been building up over the long, lonely summer. And then he said, "Take me home."

Voldemort did.

Okay, so the thing about my boi here is that I’m not a very big fan of canon!Harry? He’s oblivious and naïve and extremely brave but also pretty dumb, lmao. Pretty much the only stuff I read and/or write for the Harry Potter fandom is Dark!Harry, Gray!Harry, Slytherin!Harry and so on, because oh my God, Evil Harry Potter gives me life. I like Harry, but I like him MORE when he’s Bad™.

Romantic shipping and Harry? Look, you can point at practically every character and I will eat that shit up. But mainly I’m a fan of Tomarry or Harrymort (there’s a big as shit difference okay) and Drarry - though, as I said, you can hand me a fic with almost any ship and I will thank you and love it dearly. (the exceptions being crack pairings, like… harry and dobby, or harry and hagrid, or harry and the sorting hat - just. just don’t.)

Platonic shipping and Harry? Read above. Anything goes as long as it’s well executed, lol. But ahhh, my non-romantic OTP for Harry will always, always, always be Harry and Luna. I love that shit.

Harry Potter Fic Recs

This is my very picky fic rec list that includes my all-time favorites. They’ll be separated off in these sections: Severitus/Sevitus, Drarry, Harrymort/Tomarry, Snarry, and Other Pairings. Check it out :) :D Hopefully, I might add a second part to this list later hehe XD 

Gen

Dead Man Walking is a Regulus mentors Harry fic and it’s just so good? Like? I mean. I’m sorry, I just don’t have words for the amazingness that is this work. I refuse to say this is abandoned cause it’ll break my soul so it’s a WIP. Don’t anybody tell me otherwise! 

Severitus/Sevitus

Harry’s First Detention and Harry’s New Home are my absolute favorites in this category! I’ve reread it so many times and the utter fluff and the growth in their relationship gets me every time <3 Rec this times a million! This starts in Harry’s First Year and goes from there. Also, what Harry calls Voldemort cracks me up EVERY TIME and I devolve into tears cause the utter cuteness just gets me! Complete.

Emerald Eyes makes me wish Severus had actually responded this way in canon. He’s not perfect, but their relationship grows and develops well <3 Complete.

In Care Of is a pretty popular fic, I believe, so I guess it’s sort of moot to rec it, but here you go. Features animagus!Snape and Snape realizing he’s pretty blind to Harry, which is my favorite moment in these fics! Complete.

To Shape and Change is a Snape time travels story and he fixes things pretty logically cause, you know, it’s Snape lol. I do like how he takes care of Harry though and it’s definitely a mentorship relationship between the two. Complete.

Perception is Everything is a different Severitus and there’s not enough where Snape realizes his mistakes and fixes it when Harry’s older, mostly cause it’s harder to deal with a hardened Harry. But this one manages it SO WELL and it’s definitely amazing! Wish there was more to this AU tbh. Complete.

Self Preservation is so adorable! Harry goes with Snape because he thinks that since Snape scares everyone, he’s safe with him! I like how their relationship grows slowly, at least on Snape’s side lol, and it’s so fluffy! Definitely another favorite! Complete. 

A New Place to Stay is my ABSOLUTE favorite in this category! I’ve reread it so many times and love it and get sucked into it just as much as the first time! I SO wish Horcruxes had been handled this way in canon and Harry grows so much with positive adult attention and it’s so beautiful, you know? I love it so much and rec it times a million! Complete and very long! 

Murtlap Thief and its sequel are also really good and occurs in Harry’s 4th year. It’s really cute how their relationship grows and natural too :) Definitely love it and features cute!Harry! Complete, as is its sequel! 

Definition of Home and its sequel are AMAZING. I mean, it’s oliver.snape, are we even surprised? But it’s soooo good! READ IT. You won’t regret it! Oh, it also has a little epilogue series here. Complete! 

Far Beyond a Promise Kept is a Harry and Snape time travel story! It’s a mentor story and it’s just so good! Once again, oliver.snape sooo... :D Complete. 

Unexpected Effects can be a Severitus or a Snarry, depending on if you read the alternative ending. Let me just say this... basilisk!Harry. I know you want to read it ;) 

A Year Like None Other: is any Severitus list complete without this? Love it, just love it. Also, the Draco/Harry friendship is my thing. Complete, but the series is a WIP! 

Harrymort/Tomarry

Don’t Fuck With Florists (They’ll Fuck You Up) is a time travel and Tomarry. I love it because Harry just fucks with Tom and Tom still falls in love <3 It cracks me up but it’s also believable :) One-shot. 

Lucifer is perhaps my most favorite Tomarry one-shot because it’s a soulmate AU and yet the way their relationship grows is very believable. I like that Harry doesn’t make Tom completely good, but he’s not as bad as he could be without Harry. One-shot. 

The Love of a Good Wizard is the VERY first Tomarry I read and it will always hold a special spot just for that <3 I also just love Pansy in here :D Really, it’s totally cute I love me some possessive!Tom XD Time Travel. Complete. 

Seventeen Years is totally weird but also my favorite because it’s so very much like Voldemort to be this way :D It’s a muggle!AU.... but Harry and Voldemort are still not normal muggles :) Sort of incest, I suppose, but not exactly. One-shot, sadly. 

As Portioned From the Whole is so very messed up and so delicious for that. It’s also so beautifully written! It’s a Voldemort raises Harry story, but a Harrymort as well. Still updating! 

A Snake Named Voldemort is so fabulous, why haven’t you read it yet?? Features: Parseltongue!! Complete. 

Harry Potter and the Shadowed Light is a WIP and a Tomarry, but it’s SO GOOD. OHMYGOODNESS. READ IT. It’s just amazing what the writer does with common tropes and makes it totally unique! I just love it and I’ve reread it and it’s just so good! READ IT. 

Avarice is just so good. Horcrux!Harry and it’s just so deliciously dark that I can’t handle it <3 It’s a WIP and I love it so much <3 Part one of a series! 

Harry Potter and the Darkness series is the ultimate Harrymort series for me. It’s just so good <3 Pretty sure it’s a classic, but I couldn’t not include this! 

Solace in Shadows is not exactly a Tomarry since I’m sure it’s Gen, but it’s a Diary!Tom kidnaps Harry story :D Poor Harry <3 Almost 200k and a WIP

Death is But the Next Great Adventure is a MoD!Harry and it’s just really adorable Harry’s relationship with Death :D A WIP and I love it! 

Your Name On My Heart is an AU and Tom and Harry are soulmates, and it’s also just so well-done :D I love it! It’s a WIP but near the end, I believe. 

The Glass Serpent and the Dark Horse: First of all, this is an AU in that Tom Sr. rescues Tom Jr. from the orphanage. Yep. Never read a story like that, so read it, if only for that :D Tom Sr. is so lovable here <3 Definitely different from the usual bastard!Tom Sr.! Also, a Tomarry <3 WIP. 

on top of the world is me inserting my own Harrymort here amongst all the others because I’m #shameless lol. But I do enjoy writing this story and it’s a Harry joins Voldemort story and you should totally read it and warm my heart and make me smile :) :D *puppy eyes* Currently 34k but I do regularly update ;) :D <3 

Snarry

Invisible is a WBWL story, but it’s handled well and angsty enough with redemption. Also, Snape’s and Harry’s relationship isn’t the focus and occurs later on in the story. It’s a friends-to-lovers sort of story, and it’s very natural the way they fall in love and beautiful for that. Not only that, I just love how this writer develops the world of potions in here! Also it features apprentice!Harry and I love it :D Complete and very long! 

6 Lessons From a Dead Man is basically pre-slash, but it’s still so good! It happens post-epilogue and features alive!Snape. Basically, Snape kidnaps Harry and his children. Not going to say anymore. One-shot. 

Courtship Rituals is a definite favorite, maybe just cause I’m a sucker for courting, but also cause it’s Meri and nearly 60k of utter well-written goodness. One-shot. 

Back in Time is so cute that I can’t help but love it. I sat down and read it all in one sitting cause it was very addicting. Actually, reccing it makes me want to reread it lolol. Time Travel. Complete. 

My Name is Cameron Sage is a Time Travel! And a friends-to-lovers and I’m a sucker for them. I truly love it <3 Oh, Harry also has red hair in here I believe? I’m pretty sure. That just sticks out to me for some reason so.... :D Complete. 

A Convenient Marriage: I gotta admit, I’m a sucker for the slow romances and I really like the forced marriage trope. It’s a very slow romance, but Harry personally grows a lot and I just love it <3 

The Slytherin Method is my FAVORITE Snarry EVER. Okay, just, Draco/Harry friendship? Harry using his Slytherin side? I mean, daaaaamn but this has so many of my favorite things <3 Even better, Harry pursues Snape ;) Complete. 

Omega!Verse is a trilogy and this a link to it, it’s still a WIP but on the 3rd book so, just read it. It features A/B/O, but it’s done differently and features politics. Also, another Harry pursues Snape, but I love how he goes about it <3 It’s also an enemies-to-friends-to-lovers story and they’re my thing. WIP. 

The Mating Rituals of a Crabby Hermit is just so cute :D I like how Snape is characterized and it features pining!Harry <3 

Thicker than Water is a chan story and features manipulative Snape, but it’s also really beautiful too. I just really do love it and Harry doesn’t remain completely oblivious to Snape’s manipulations throughout the whole story. One of my favorites, but if you’re not into it, don’t worry about it. One-shot. 

Drarry

Heir is a Drarry, but unfortunately was abandoned before that truly takes off. I think it was in the beginning stages. However, for those of you who like the Horcrux influencing Harry more and a bit of Voldemort mentorship, this is so for you! It’s amazing and almost 200k, even without the Drarry! 

A Change in Perspective features deaged!Harry and him in all his cuteness! Well-written and so very fluffy, even though it has its angsty moments. Definitely rec it, if only for the pro-Slytherin-ness hehe. Complete.  

Who Shagged Harry Potter? is so very hilarious and I keep rereading it just for the laughs. Fluffy as well <3 One-shot.

The Devil’s White Knight is a time travel Drarry and features lots of family bonding and fluff before the Drarry develops, but I definitely love this one and have reread it quite a few times. Complete and sequel in the works. 

Leo Inter Serpentes is my absolute favorite rewrite of canon! It features Slytherin!Harry (which is my weakness) and a BAMF!Narcissa. Oh, and Sevitus as well :) :D Just finished Book 6 and still a WIP! 

Conception of Dreams is a creature!fic and features possessive!Draco. Really, I read it for those two things and it totally delivered <3 

Secrets is THE Drarry fic. I mean, ohmygoodness. First of all, wish canon had gone this way. Also, just really, really love this and READ IT. NOW. Complete and satisfyingly long! 

Malfoy Flavor is a Severitus as well and while it’s slightly ooc at times, it’s still really good. Complete, with one-shot sequel. 

A Brother to Basilisks is so good! It’s nearly 500k, y’all. I mean, ohmygoodness. Also, parseltongue! AND A BASILISK. YES. JUST READ IT. WIP! 

Malfoy Child features deaged!Draco and Harry is so sweet. I mean, are we surprised? Complete. 

Azoth is my favorite Drarry fic for sure. It’s an EWE fic and an 8th year as well, and Harry ends up apprenticing under Snape for potions and it’s so good? Like? Can I even explain it? Just read it. Complete. 

I Choose Him is a fourth year AU and so beautiful. I mean, I just love the canon divergence and the way things fall. It’s very fluffy and definitely something you’d read to pick up your mood, at least from what I’m remembering! Complete. 

Simple Acts is such a good series. Just, read it. It’s so beautiful. This writer’s Drarry fics are an utter work of art, no joke. WIP series. 

The I Do Series is over 800k for the series alone. I’m just saying that’s amazing and SUCH an amazing way post-canon is done. Also, this story is my definition for Drarry <3 WIP series. 

The War Mages Trilogy is so good. It’s a time travel and Draco’s and Harry’s relationship are utter goals, also the way they completely ruin everyone’s plans? Yes. Just, yes. The first story is complete! 

Bound Prince series is a 7 book series and complete! Harry’s and Draco’s relationship is definitely interesting in here and I do really like it :) Features lots of smut lol but it has a plot-necessary reason. Complete. 

just a bit of magic: lol here’s me being #shameless again. This is a two-shot I am writing (first part posted and is 11k) where Harry is a Muggleborn and Lily is alive. It’s utter fluff. Seriously. I gave myself cavities writing it. Just read it if you want some Drarry fluff :) <3 WIP and I plan on making the AU a series. 

Other Pairings 

Every Flavor Beans was my first fic of this pairing and my favorite for that reason, but it’s also just so manipulative that I love it for that? :D Initially Drarry, but.... :3  Harry/Lucius. 40k One-shot. 

A Malfoy’s Ways features dark!Harry and I just really love this one-shot! Harry/Lucius.

Influence of Souls features a dark!Harry who doesn’t give an eff about anyone who isn’t Sirius. Oh, this is a Harry/Sirius btw, and sooo good :D Complete.

face death in the hope is a Regulus/Harry Time Travel and is a WIP, but so well-written :D READ IT. I mean, there’s Regulus in it. Need I say more?  

The Beguile and Devotion of a Black Heir is my ALL-TIME FAVORITE HP fic, hands down. It’s over 300k and a WIP and it’s just so good? I mean??? So well-written and has so many of my favorite tropes and it’s just SO GOOD. This writer is after my heart <3 

Taking Chances is a forced bonding fic and a Percy/Harry. I just really like it for the rare pairing and the way their relationship grows <3 One-shot.

Sleep tight, love is sooooo adorable! It’s a Harry/Charlie story and I just really love it :D Harry ends up working in the reserve and it’s just so great! Complete. 

But, Harry, It’s George is just the cutest and just read it. It’s Harry/George, if that wasn’t obvious lol. One-shot. 

The Tribulation of the Blue Moon is an amazing AU, if only because the whole story takes place outside of the Wizarding World and features werewolf!Harry. It’s a Harry/Fenrir and I love it <3 Complete. Sequel in the works. 

Wizards and Werewolves Don’t Mix is a cute story and full of fluff. I just love how the relationship grows <3 Harry/Fenrir. Of course, towards the end had a part that I was very much against and almost made me drop the story, but I pushed through and the ending made it worth it. Silver Arrow is an AU and it’s so well-written :D I love it! Harry/Fenrir. Complete.

Note: Mostly alphabetical by author…If you see the same author listed several times, that’s a sign you should definitely check them out. These are only some of my most favorite fics and/or really good fic concepts, meaning that if you check the author’s other works, you might find other amazing works that I have neglected to mention. Warning for possible spoilers…I get…‘passionate’ about really great scenes, though I don’t think I outright spoil in great detail, any of the actual endings of longer fics. Anyway, happy browsing!

Mostly Tomarry, but there may be a few stray HarryMorts or other Harry+Tom+Horcrux+Voldy varieties. Straight-up smut is rare here, but occasional. Smut may be included in the fics, but not as the focus.

Going through this WILL take a while, especially with the longer fics, so I recommend taking your time, maybe relaxing with some tea or something. Have fun.

My reviews range from somewhat intellectual to just plain memespeak/swearing, to a mix of both. I will apologize in advance.

Icarus by budchick (I really loved this one. The summary is precious. Tom’s father actually has a big role in this one~ So good!)

All For Show by cannibalinc (Harrymort. Whoo boy, this was incredibly intriguing. Very political. Lmao at Dumbledore’s portrait in Chapter 4. Also, poor Draco.) 

Ozymandias by chocowilliams (Ah, I love the title. And this fic is beautiful, sad, and creepy. That ending, wow.)

Drowned piano by Clarisse (transnymphtaire) (This is really pretty and haunting. From Tom’s perspective. Master of Death!Harry is beautiful and creepy. Love the imagery and tone of this.)

Lies by Clarisse (transnymphtaire) (A Soulmate!AU, though instead of the usual fare, it is lies that appear on the skin. Pretty dark in a beautiful way. Tom isn’t the one doing the damage this time, luckily. Time and place for that in other fics, haha.)

A Lesson in Defense by thecrimsonmonarch (Time Travel. Professor!Harry Charmingly awkward, embarrassed Harry trying to flee the advances of a student. *Gasp* how scandalous! Tom is so thirsty in the end. Boy needs Jesus.)

You’re a Parasitic Psycho Filthy Creature Finger-Banging My Heart by Cryptkeeper (orphan_account) (Damn, that title tho. One of the rare smuts in this rec list. The separating?? images are really cute and I aspire to grow up and look half as cute as some ghosts with skulls, flowers, candles, and incense sticks.)

Try series by d_aia (This is just a really great series. I recommend this.)

Don’t Trust Me by DeeDee (I’m pretty sure I saw flayu’s fanart of this fic floating around somewhere. Both the art and this fic are great.)

A Visit to Wool’s by Durrant (Short and sweet. Time travel at a young age. Tom is still in character, and it’s a very cute fic.)

Dream Boy by Evandar (Sin. Well-written sin. Dark and seductive.)

Butterfly Heart by The_Fictionist (I’m sure everyone and their pet cat knows who this author is, btw. This is a beautiful Hannibal-inspired fic. If you enjoy Hannigram and Tomarry, you will be extremely satisfied. Haunting, gorgeous, and captivating.)

The Circus of Riddles by The_Fictionist (I’m going to say this phrase/variations of it a lot, but I have a weakness for ‘blank.’ In this case, stories of the fey. This fic is exactly what I want out of a story like this. Excellent.)

Impressing Professor Potter by The_Fictionist (Damn, Tom is thirsty as heck and is one smooth mofo in this fic. Poor Harry does not stand a chance. my boi tommy you need jesus.)

Kisses Cursed series by Lydia_Theda, The_Fictionist (Damn, some of you are making it hard for me to arrange this alphabetically, but whatever it’s all good. Beauty and the Beast, Tomarry style, with some other works~)

Love’s Loathing by The_Fictionist (Damn, The_Fictionist, back at it again with the great fics. I’m so sorry for this stupid meme, end me. The summary on ao3 will basically give you the clearest message of the plot than anything I could ever write about this amazing work.)

Lucifer by leontina (Leontina) (Short and sweet, at least in comparison to some of the monsters in this list. Interesting, and I love the beginning! You’ll see why when you read the summary…)

Target by LittleMissXanda (Hitmen!Tomarry. Harry is accidentally assigned to Tom-it’s not his policy to attack other hitmen-and sneaks away before Tom could notice him…or so he thinks…)

An I for an I by lordmarvoloriddle (WOW. This was amazing. Harry doesn’t actually go to the past, in this one. It’s really, really good. Gorgeous. I have no words.)

Father figure by lordmarvoloriddle (Whoa, man. Poor Ginny, but at the same time, get rekt. Very hot. Dat ending. Why are there so many excellent endings?)

Lest You Are My Enemy by Maeglin_Yedi (One of the first fics I’ve read. Just realllllly well-written and gorgeous. God, Tom is just really charming and deceptive and seductive. I feel like I should go to straight to hell after reading this. Welp. It was well worth it and I don’t regret a thing.)

The Soul Adores by Maeglin_Yedi (I remember this fic being really good. Some Snape/Harry and the three of them together, as well, in addition to the standard Tomarry we come to expect and love.)

Voice in the Walls by MalignSensualist (Harry starts to hear things. Mature Tomarry with praise kink and some Voldemort.)

Don’t Fuck With Florists (They’ll Fuck You Up) by MayMarlow (What do I love? Time travel. Master of Death!Harry. Flowers. That’s all in here. Harry tries to convince Tom that being Dark Lord isn’t the way to go, and that politics are where it’s at. I adore this fic. Not to mention that there is gorgeous art by talented artists.)

Thy Pyrrhic Victories by MayMarlow (I love Alice in Wonderland-inspired works. Victorian literature generally interests me. I happily downloaded it, seeing that unlike the other fics on this list, this one is not actually readable on the site. The way this fic is presented is just creative and wonderful. You’ll be pleasantly surprised with some of the roles the characters take…)

Everything’s Fine in the Beast Division by Merrinpippy (This is part of the Tomarry Valentine Exchange. This has great characterization, and has the cast of Fantastic Beasts. Also has Tom giving Harry the locket. I am a complete sucker for fics where Tom gives Harry the locket and/or ring. I cannot reiterate that enough.)

Thank you Shakespeare by Merrinpippy (First, I love the Shakespeare references. Second, I loved Harry and Tom’s interactions. Just wow.)

To Be Set Free by Merrinpippy (I remember reading this and always anticipating the next updates. This is a Cinderella AU. The HP universe really lends itself well to things like this, though it also really helps that this was written very well, haha. Just read it. I have no more I can say.)

Gilgamesh by Morgan Steelgrave (m_steelgrave) (This one is pretty different from most time travels. Heavily-focused on Tom…and you’ll find out why once you read it. Very hauntingly beautiful.)

All The World by Nillen (This is really, really good! Tom is a detective. There is a really crazy twist. I had this bookmarked, but apparently it did not show up when I was looking through them? I’m really glad I remembered it by myself!)

The Fragrance of a Moon Orchid by nuttyasafruitcake (Soulmate!AU with a twist. When you meet your soulmate, you gain the sense of smell. I adore the descriptions of the flowers in this fic.)

Haunted and Hunted series by ObsidianPen (This is extremely excellent. I’m sure many people have already read this by now. Some minor Drarry, moreso Draco crushing on Harry, which Voldy is incredibly quick to try to eradicate. This series pretty much made me fall in love with piano-playing!Harry. Locket was my bae…)

Simple Request by AnOrcaLullaby (Harry’s era!AU with no Voldemort. Tom wants Harry to pretend to be his fiancé…)

To Kill You With a Kiss by Paimpont (I think a lot of people rec this…? With good reason. I vaguely remember something like that…or I’ve finally gone insane. It’s really good. Nothing more needs to be said. Tom is a professor. Take that, Dumbles.)

The Dream Eater by partofforever (Art and horror. My fam. God, this was beautifully creepy. OH SHIT THAT END. Btw, this author has more fics in their native language, for you lucky people who can read them~)

Forget Me Not by partofforever (I remember reading this a while ago. I also remember it was incredibly beautiful.)

The Journal of a Young Clerk by partofforever (Sad, but it ends happily. Soulmate!AU where you stay eighteen years old until you find your other half.)

The Three Roses by partofforever (This was beautiful but IT MADE ME REALLY SAD. I don’t regret it in the slightest, however.)

Winter, spring, summer, autumn… and winter again series by partofforever (I read this some time before, but I do remember it was pretty cute. Very pleasant and pretty imagery. Also, like many Tomarrys, time travel shenanigans, though less emphasis on the shenanigans part. Interesting and profound. A lovely read.)

Try by ponnu (Short, sweet, and not happy. This isn’t your standard Harry-goes-back-in-time-and-things-mostly-work-out type of fic. AT ALL. Very interesting.)

Pianissimo by Apuzzlingprince (Harry’s kindness and compassion usually serve him well in many Tomarry fics. WELP. NOT IN HERE. Very dark, but definitely lovely.)

We’re going to be beautiful, Harry by Apuzzlingprince (Ohohoho. A reeeally nice soul mate one. Tom is reaaaaally darkly possessive towards the end. Whew!)   

The Perfect Murder by QuillOfFortune (The title and summary alone are simply amazing. Just read it. Starts out as shenanigans, but then gets much, much darker.)

How’s the weather (am I better) by RenderedReversed (Not into a/b/o, but this is written extremely well and focuses more on Tom and Harry’s relationship than actual physicality, which is pretty rare in most a/b/os. Lots of feels. I love how Harry was so convinced Tom would abandon him, and that Tom proved him wrong. Also, I love how protective Absol was. And Harry’s Altaria made me think of my first shiny Pokémon-Swablu, who I evolved into an Altaria in my Pokémon Ruby game. Nostalgia.)

Thomas Riddle and the Lamb of Dreams by RenderedReversed (This was a very interesting AU! Harry is a god here, specifically the God of Dreams, and Tom is his “champion.”)

Underneath the Boughs of an Elder Tree by RenderedReversed (I’m a sucker for fairy tales, The Tale of the Three Brothers, and wandmaker!Harry. This fic just happens to have all of those elements. Love the ending and closing line.)

Vernal Equinox by RenderedReversed (…The simple reason I didn’t get into Miraculous Ladybug was because I personally didn’t like her costume sorry not sorry I am very particular about my superhero costumes but the OTP is cute so I’m the only one depriving myself, but damn. You read this fic, and just go from…intrigued…’wait, wat,’ to ‘!!!’ This is a Soulmate AU+ ‘Dark’ Superhero AU. You’ll be very surprised at finding out what side people are on. This is a oneshot, but you can’t help but wonder about everything. It really works well as a standalone work, but the potential for so much drama and blood and betrayal… Oh god, and the ending.)

Set the Sails (and don’t look back) by Terrific_Lunacy (Pirate!Au with physician!Harry and pirate captain!Tom. HARRY IS A COMPLETE BADASS. THAT’S IT EVERYONE ELSE CAN GO HOME. WE DON’T NEED YOU. HE’S NOBLE AND CARING BUT SNARKY AND IRREVERENT TO TOM AT THE SAME TIME. THIS YOUNG MAN DOES NOT CARE ABOUT DEATH AND GIVES ABSOLUTELY NO FLYING FUCKS. I want to grow up to be just like him. Man, is he a hardass. Also there are hints of him being some kind of otherworldly/ethereal being, or at least half? Ooh.)

It’s so beautiful. I can’t count the number of times I’ve come back to read this fic. The fingers on both of my hands are not enough…I am not exaggerating. I love how Tom is presented as excessively charming but still unrepentantly evil, yet salvageable…gah. If I wasn’t on the aromantic side of the ace spectrum, I’d have a crush on both how he and Harry are portrayed in this fic. Precious, kind, strong, righteous Harry. Probably my most favorite characterization of the two of them, ever?? Read it.)

Trapped Away From Sea by BigJellyMonster (Ohohohoho. Merman!Harry. This is based on the Little Mermaid AND Killing Stalking. …Judging by that, you know it’s gonna be good. DAT CLIFFHANGER. I also love the language barrier. And boy, do I love how unlike the readers, poor Harry has no idea that this particular human is more of a predator than any shark in the ocean.)

Consulting Dark Lord by Chess+Wraith (Tom the consulting detective. Partner Snape. And Harry…whoa. Very promising. Tom and Harry are so close to meeting, dammit.)

Times of Peace series by conquerorofheaven (This is some pretty good stuff. Time travel with Harry becoming the new DADA instructor or something of that nature. Very possessive Tom, which let’s face it, is probably a thing 99.8% of us like for this pairing.)

How to prevent a War by CrazyJanaCat (Read this some time ago. Actually my first bookmark for this pairing! I remember some really great scenes/ideas.)

The Root of All Evil Is Love by Crystia (This is so pure. I think I stumbled upon this fc because of a certain fanartist~ The summary is concise, but hilarious. Oh Harry, my sweet child you always have the worst luck, but that’s pretty much canon.)

The Portrait by DariaSilver (This is really, really beautiful. Tom and Voldy are portraits. Slight Drarry. Why is Tom so charming? I cry knowing this isn’t finished. The only thing giving me hope in humanity is that in some alternate universe, this fic is complete. Rest in fucking pieces.)

The Divine Right of Kings series by darklordtomarry (das_omen) (I’m surprised I haven’t found this series sooner! Grey!Harry that is incredibly interesting…and an information broker! The plot is concerned with slight au…focusing on royalty and politics. The plot, as well as character interactions and relationships are quite intriguing, particularly within Harry’s family. Also, the James and Sirius bromance is hilarious, especially regarding the scene in the very first chapter of the first fic that caused the nearby Draco to run away.)

Lord of Time by DebsTheSlytherinSnapeFan (I think I remember some really good ideas from this. It’s been a while since I first read through it, so I don’t think I can give it the summary it deserves. Luckily it’s very lengthy if you find yourself enjoying it. You probably will. A very interesting time travel fic with an epic length, drama, and a lot of consideration put into the time period it takes place in.)

Looking Ahead by dinopire (Art Student!Tom, Photography Student/Model!Harry. Jesus I really like this one. A whole a lot of potential!! What is here so far is reaaaallly wonderful!!)

The Wand Chooses by DreamerEye (Very interesting concept. Wandmaker!Harry.)

Dance with the Devil by Driverpicksthemooseic (Ratkinzluver33) (One of my slightly more recent loves. Harry with a Horcrux!Tom and Voldemort. Harry is amusing. Very promising potential.)

White Innocence series by emriel (This is one of the more recent fic series, and it has been very promising. It’s a Harry goes-back-in-time-but-as-a-kid fic. The way little!Tom is depicted is AMAZING. I really do love it. I especially adore fics that show a child!Tom with really accurate characterization.)

Dreams and Darkness Collide by Epic Solemnity by Dark_Cyan_Star (Holysmokes this was dark and violent and oh do I love it. Harry is so dark but it’s balanced with him being pretty relatively heroic about his killing intent, so it’s a bit closer to his character. I also love a good-by good I mean well-written, he is still beautifully pretty amoral and complex-Minister for Magic!Tom.)

Grimoire for the Devil series by fadingstarlight (Geneveon) (Slytherin!Harry aka Hadrian. Alternate Universe and very EXPLICIT, like wooooo, XXX-rated, man.)

Baby, You’re Mine series by Fairygirl34 (I love the idea behind this series. Tom just being an evil bastard and taking what he wants without remorse, which, in this case, is Harry, and to some lesser degree, little Albus. Harry already has Ginny, but apparently that doesn’t matter at all. Welp.)

Nursery Rhymes AU series by Fairygirl34 (I’m weak for this sort of fic idea. Many nursery rhymes have a creepy origin, and this series expresses a love for such a dark thing. Very promising.)

Phantom Love by Fairygirl34 (Another recent one I found. Tom obsessively watching and leaving gifts for the Phantom Harry. Harry not falling for his tricks and trying in vain to resist his advances. I love that while Harry is the Phantom of the Opera, Tom, in a twisted turn of events, is the Angel of ‘Darkness.’ That’s pretty great. And there’s only two more chapters left!)

Dancing With Deceit by The_Fictionist (Ahhhh, this one was very good. Just read it.)

Fine Green Eyes by grayclouds (Pride and Prejudice-inspired! I regret only subscribing to this and not bookmarking it because this took some time for me to rediscover. This is really amazingly written and I cannot wait for the next update.)

Lithium by grayclouds (One of my first Tomarrys. It’s really great! There is some Cedric/Harry, too. A very good read.)

Loveless by Hyoushin (Very good. The focus is more on Tom. I especially adored the Paradise Lost reference in Chapter 4. That was especially fitting for Tom.) 

The Fox and The Stag series by KaedeRavensdale (I really remember liking many elements of this one. There was a lot that made this pretty unique. Also, somewhere in the first story, Tom goes back to the future with Harry, which is relatively rare.)

Turn Back 53 by Kefalion (Sadly abandoned, but I’m honestly grateful for anything. Wow, this is so well-written. Lmao, at some point they kinda do a ‘meet-cute??’ with Harry and Tom meeting face-to-face while bumping into each other. They keep meeting this way, actually. Also why is Tom so hot in this fic like SIGN ME THE FUCK UP. Smoking those Muggle smokes, damn, man. Catching Harry like some fucking fairy tale prince. He needs to be arrested…and not even just for being a murderer.)

Would Be He: Lion or Lamb? by KillerInADress (Ahhhh, I really love the interaction between Tom and Harry in Chapter 2. Really hope this updates.) 

Field Theory by Machiavelli (Childhood friends!AU. Harry saves Tom…and the tags inform us that ‘this will probably get quite dark’…)

If Them’s the Rules by MayMarlow (Our glorious pairing, Tomarry, is essentially built on the time travel trope, so it should be no surprise that I’m reccing this particular fic. In this story Harry goes back in time to raise Tom. Usually when I read fics with similar plots, there’s always a little something I’m not really into. But not here. There’s also a very interesting plot with Grindelwald, outside of the Tomarry. The Grindelwald + Harry interactions were also pretty nice. Oh, silly Harry for forgetting about the other handsome genocidal dark wizard during this time period. To be fair, he does have his hands full with young Tom.)

The Train to Nowhere by MayMarlow (Who do I love? MayMarlow. One of the earliest Tomarry fics I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. Very intriguing premise. I love Harry’s visits to the ‘train station.’ I love the feelings that accompany this sense of otherworldliness whenever I read about Harry is in this other realm.)

The Other Chapter 36 by Mavrick (This fic is one of the works responsible for why I said my list was, “’Mostly’ alphabetical by author.” Also, just realized. This fic is also in the incomplete section, despite being completed...mainly because I wanted to keep it together with “The Train to Nowhere.” Welp. That’s entirely fine because I adored this. A tribute to the above fic. God, I loved how creepy it was with the paintings. I felt chills. Beautiful and scaaaary, if that’s what you’re into. I’m definitely into that.)

Labyrinth by Mer_des_Miroirs (A regency!au with other references. Excellent and interesting.)

Kings of Flowers and Skulls by Merrinpippy (So basically if a fic was destined to become a fast favorite of mine…this one definitely embodies a bunch of things I love. And I sincerely love flowers, skulls, and fairy tales…which are all in here. Tom and Harry as opposite, but complementary otherworldly deities…also a HUGE plus. Ahhh…so good~)

Words Fail by NeaMarika (One of my favorite time travel fics. Really good, it’s different from most because people are aware of Harry’s status as a time-traveler. Also, oblivious!Harry strikes again, to my COMPLETE AMUSEMENT. Oh boy, poor Tom. Lmao, boi can’t even comprehend the possibility of anyone possibly rejecting his handsome, fiiiiiiine, genius self. )

Scarred Match in Time by NicoDiAngeloLover7, vampireangel389 (Tom is actually pretty nice in this one, but what really sticks out to me here is how Harry’s memory loss is treated. I really like the startling but distressing images we get from Harry, who only has vague notions of his experiences.)

Divine by ObsidianPen (I am weak for mythology. This is no exception. This has endless promise. Oh lord, this is so good.)

Incendiary by ObsidianPen (The summary and the tags are definitely what caught my attention! A very interesting au idea! Also, Harry’s parents are alive and he has a sister and is generally much happier, yay! Young Grindeldore and the Triwizard tournament. Also, despite this being an AU, poor Harry somehow manages to also be involved in the tournament, though his rival, Tom, is also a champion…Can’t wait for this story to progress to that point!)

No Glory by ObsidianPen (Incredibly dark and haunting. Another great work from the author. Voldemort/Harry with an incredibly well-thought-out plot.)

Wanderingly by ObsidianPen (Labyrinth!AU. This is incredibly promising. I’m honestly very excited to see how things are going to progress.)

Memory of Stars by Ownlildreamworld (morg) (Very intriguing plot, thus far. Kinda political, with Harry trying to come to some sort of compromise with Tom/Voldemort.)

Nature versus Nurture series by RenderedReversed, Zenithyl (I love the concept of the Seven Deadly Sins and Horcruxes being fused together. So. Yeah. Rereading this to refresh my memory while I’m compiling this list would be counterproductive, but from what I remember I spent some solid hours reading this with a lot of appreciation. The chapter amount might look incredibly daunting, but each chapter is only at least 100 words. So. Not so scary.)

this ain’t no fairytale series by RenderedReversed (One day, this series decided to slap me in the face-in the greatest of ways-and I soon became hooked after the first fic. Characterization is spot-on, and I love the world building. Their relationship is lovely and profound, and I love that both Tom and Harry are keeping secrets from each other about their pasts, though are slowly opening up to each other. My fantasy gaming experience is mostly in the Fire Emblem series, but this fic is encouraging me to look into the highly-rated Recettear, on Steam, which this au is based on.)

Until Death Do Us Part by Rendered Reversed (I really love fics where there is powerful imagery and otherworldliness. Tom and Harry and Gods, here, so yay. Also Yandere!Harry. BIG YAY.)

Zubats, Zubats Everywhere by RenderedReversed (Bruh, it’s a Pokémon AU. That’s honestly the only excuse I need. I love their roles in this. It’s a nice, playful breath of air.)

Not Strong Enough by Sayon_170 (Help me, child!Tom is the sweetest most and possessive little thing. Harry goes back in time to raise Tom. There’s an OC, but it’s actually very interesting to see the budding Tomarry dynamic from that character’s perspective. Tom has not yet matured enough to cultivate his cultured, charming mask to present to the rest of the world, and it’s pretty alarming and fascinating to think what will happen to Tom and Harry’s relationship in the future. Harry, good luck.)

Amazing concept, strong characterization, and beautiful, haunting imagery. My favorite scene is when Harry turns into his dead mother. Also, I’m sobbing over the author calling Tom ‘T-Ridds,’ in the notes somewhere. God, that’s funny.)

47 Days to Change (a translation) by snow_owl01 (This is a translation of a Chinese fic that someone was kind enough to translate! I remember really liking this. Basically, time travel where Harry goes back to raise Tom.)

The Spellmaker by SonnyGietzel (Very interesting ideas in this one. Very bookish!Harry. I cry because the only Tom Harry ever gets to talk to is the barkeep. And then you look at the last date updated…IT HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL.)

Good Intentions by Strange_Soulmates (I HAVE SO MANY FEELINGS ABOUT THIS FIC. PROBABLY ONE OF MY FAVORITES. Child!Harry is such a pure and precious cinnamon roll. Tom, on the other hand, is a sinnamon roll. There’s something both poetic and beautifully fucked up when you read about little Harry unknowingly helping his new BFF Handsome Prince Tom design the motherfricken’ Dark Mark. In which vandalism will probably be the least of Tom’s crimes. I also love how tiny Harry is so wise and kind, but is still unable to recognize the extent of Tom’s evil. He thinks Tom is being cool, I can’t even- Tom is so in love with Harry that you’ll feel like Lily and James in the beginning of the unlikely duo’s relationship, all warm and approving. It’s really so sweet. Also, the end of chapter 4 is glorious, pls read it. To quote chapter 3 and James’ decision of bringing Harry and Tom closer together: “It was the worst mistake he ever made in his life.” If that doesn’t make you want to keep reading, I don’t know what else will.)

Matelotage by Strange_Soulmates (A pirate!au for Tomarrytines. WOW, ANOTHER AMAZING PIRATE!AU. AND THIS ONE HAS JUST STARTED. The characterization in this is simply superb, and Harry is strong, but still retains his morals and selflessness. He cleverly bargains with Tom, and is just all-around awesome??? Tom is also described quite well with his propensity for cunning and violence, and Barty is winning a special place in my heart.)

More Precious than Rubies by Strange_Soulmates (I am waiting with bated breath for this to be finished. It’s beautiful. I’m not sure how else to describe this. A fairy tale turned on its head, where the princess, sorry Harry, wizard stuck in a tower falls in love with the dragon guarding him. Possessive Tom is already a thing I’m into. Possessive Dragon Tom? Hell yes.)

Let’s start the show by Terrific_Lunacy (…It’s probably a good thing if I rec most/all of the fics of a particular author. This fic has class issues, the circus, and political intrigue. It’s pretty fucking interesting, in layman’s terms. Harry is bae, but I pretty much love him in all of this author’s fics. So.) 

Rebuilt by Terrific_Lunacy (Really dramatic, magnificent Steampunk!AU. Lots of world building and characterization. Really, really good with a very intricate and impressive plot. I feel smarter after reading it, haha.)

An echo of the past by TosMichiyo (I reaaaallly liked this one. One of those rare Tom-comes-to-the-future fics.)

Twin Skeletons series by transpreussen (Time travel. What is different about this one is that poor Harry isn’t alone like he normally is. He has friends with him in the past, yay.)

Push and Pull by Vespairty (Time travel with Master of Death!Harry aka Hadrian. WWII, also focusing on Grindelwald and Dumbledore. Harry writes letters to Tom, and vice-versa. Can’t wait for them to finally meet up!)

Wear Me Like A Locket Around Your Throat by VivyPotter (I remember being really intrigued by this one. What caught my attention the most was the summary. It’s our old friend time travel, but the unique description of a time turner explosion leaving golden scars on Harry is really pretty imagery.)

I Waited For You, In The Shadows Of Time by watchingvfall_n_drown (This one is pretty special to me and close to my heart. I stumbled upon it one day, and was hooked ever since. It’s a bit different from some of the other fics I rec. Lots of purple prose and beautifully flowery language, if you’re into that. I just really love the general air of ethereal otherworldliness about it. Most of that vibe is from Harry, or at least how Tom/Voldy/Marvolo/whatshisname sees him as. Jesus son, are you moonlighting as a poet when you aren’t murdering people.)

This is time travel, though ‘unconventional,’ as the author puts it. It’s written with a very creepy and haunting mood. Ah, and Tom is so great. Very in character and I just love the way he’s trying to figure out Harry’s secrets. I’m really curious and excited, imaging how things are gonna turn out!)

Iridescent by: BloodyWar2411 (The plot is similar to this manhwa called Totally Captivated, but the author addresses this later. I have also read both works, and I think the similarities are coincidence. It really is not very hard to imagine Tom as a mob boss, after all.)

October by: The Carnivorous Muffin (It’s full of purple prose and incredibly verbose and full of interesting diction. Some may feel that these qualities are a turn-off, but as you can tell by my own ao3 username, I really appreciate the T.S. Eliot quotes in Chapters 9 and 10. The later plot might range from confusing to bizarre, but god do I love how otherworldly and inhuman Harry/Azrael is depicted.)

Right, so this is a link to a fic that, last I checked, was not dead??? Did I get the URL wrong?? Anyone have a pdf of whatever this may be?? I WAS ALREADY SHOOK BECAUSE OF THE MINDFUCK OF AN ENDING but I’m pretty much deceased because I cannot even read it anymore. To jog memories, Harry was a single parent and Tom was Albus’ teacher…and Voldemort was still a thing, but Tom’s well, MORE evil twin or something. It was really well-written. I think Cedric was in there, and his role was a twist. THE ENDING IS SOMETHING I’LL NEVER FORGET THOUGH. IF YOU READ IT YOU’D KNOW.

One where Harry appears back in time and catches Tom’s attention. Not a lot of dialogue. There is a New Year’s party and Tom trying to make advances…only for Harry to flee.  Harry is angsting but Tom shows up later, telling Harry that he’s already guessed that he’s a time traveler. Tom also says something about hoping that his kiss wasn’t so offensive that Harry ran away like a damsel in distress or something.

I think there also was another one where Tom is working at Borgin and Burkes, but meets Harry, who time traveled??? Harry cannot stop Tom from killing and generally being amoral, and there is a really bittersweet scene of them banging after angst, with Tom covered in the blood of his unfortunate victim, and Harry just resignedly on the rocks. Literally.

Hmm…I think something might be wrong with my bookmarks. I keep remembering plots for fics I want to add here, go to the fic and see that I bookmarked it, but did not see it the 3-5 times I have been double-checking my bookmarks. Ugh.

This list basically covers what I personally love about most Tomarry fics I like to read. I had to stop myself from adding any more before things became too crazy, haha. Generally, I love most time travel fics. I definitely have more fics bookmarked that I have not included on this list, and probably only subscribed to some so I don't have their links now. I’ve also probably missed a few I would have really liked to add to this list. Some fics have probably been deleted without me knowing, as well, though I thought ao3 informed you of deleted works you’ve bookmarked???

…Now that I’ve finally finished this list, I guess I should start going back and leaving some VERY BELATED kudos and comments, haha. The whole reason I haven’t already done so was because I didn’t like my username, and only found out how to change it, like a few days ago. Welp. Bellamort (which is canon, bitches)

a random thought:

The wizarding world makes zero sense in so many places. They haven’t had an Industrial Revolution, meaning they haven’t known first hand the new ideas that came with it, and they seem to be stuck in the Middle Ages in many ways, even if they dont seem extremely Christian as these times actually were. We know little about the political system and their beliefs are so random. It’s really confusing.

An unpopular opinion:

Idk what’s unpopular these days. Aside from Albus’ name, I actually liked the Epilogue.

It showed what we needed to know: that Harry and the rest made it out okay. They found the courage to face their destroyed community and rebuild, even though they had gone through enough during the war. I think JKR said it herself in an interview how important rebuilding is after a catastrophe, how it can daunt even the bravest people. The miracles of Japan and Germany bouncing back and better after WWII are relevant real-life examples here. 

A married Harry, enthusiastic about hugging his kids goodbye on their first day of school, a day that to him symbolises a new beginning, is the greatest gift and it does not erase the pain he might feel every day for going through hell in his early life. In fact, it’s this snipet of normalcy what he craved as a boy and refused to daydream about because its weight would be too much,and now he gets to have it. Along with the nightmares and the PTSD and the new challenges yes, but now, in this moment, as he waves to the new generation that he helped create, he’s safe, loved and happy. He deserves it. 

Second unpopular opinion: I don’t give a damn if McGonagall’s timeline is screwed up by bringing her to life in the 20′s. Didn’t really matter to the story before and she’s a freaking badass and comic relief, which is the best combo ever. Is it fan-bating or whatever it was called? Sure. But if she makes the story better with her presense I give minus two fucks about when JKR originally said she was born (also, newsflash: people have the right to change HC’s, especially people who don’t shit about maths, like our dear creator) 

My Canon OTP:

I’m not huge on non-canon Hermione ships, and anything with Snape is gross.

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another):

…Snape? Not his character, but the positive light she gave him by naming Harry’s kid after him. It appeared she was clear on him not being an admirable person, but then he’s the bravest bloke ever? No, ma’am.

On a Fantastic Beasts note, I do hope they handle the backstories of all characters well. We’ll surely get back to this after the FB series are over.

 Favourite Friendship:

The Golden Trio, they work as a three-man-group better, I won’t devide them. Also, as a part-time writer I have to admire how the writing and dynamics were handled, it’s so hard to think as more than one person, not to mention three!

Character I most identify with:

PostAzkaban!Bellatrix feels she’s letting her master and herself down, and so do I. I keep looking for my former self. Who wasn’t much after all, but had some qualities I should recultivate.

Character I wish I could be:

… I’d like to have some Bellamort qualities that I lack, but in general I’m fine working on myself.

When I started shipping them:

After I finished the books, so that’s since 2007. 12 cool, angsty years. 

My thoughts:

I love them, they’re my evil babies. In fact, I don’t even have reasons for loving them, as most shippers do, I’d just die for them, end of reasoning.

What makes me happy about them:

That they’re complicately made for each other in their unique goth way. And that in the end they had a kid, which I think helped Voldemort out a lot with his issues with intimacy and emotions.

What makes me sad about them:

That they died *sobs hysterically*.

Also in the books they have like two scenes together. (HE SCREAMED THO)

Things done in fanfic that annoys me:

Seeing Bella’s character butchered down to a snivelling, slavish idiot, though these aren’t Bellamort fics usually.

In Bellamort fics, it feels like a cheat when it says Bellamort but it’s just Bella pining and Voldemort really not caring. I don’t have a problem with the POV, but it needs to be tagged as unrequited. Otherwise I’m open to perspectives.

Things I look for in fanfic:

Good writing, mostly.

I’m also a huge fan of Muggle!AU’s, so if you have that, I’ll read it, no questions asked XD

My wishlist:

I presume this means wishlist on fics/art with these two, but do correct me if I’m wrong. I dont have one, since I write myself, so whatever I want to read, I write. Right now I’m eager to finish the following Bellamort fics:

3. Voldemort discovers his breastfeeding kink

In general I’d say I’d like to see more classic, tropy fanfics with these two, lighter ones, you know. Angst is great, but let us enjoy the coffeeshop!AU too.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:

Alone and miserable.

I guess Bella would have been okay with Rodolphus, had Tom/Voldemort never been born.

And Voldemort/Tom would have been fine too with some nameless pretty woman he did not love but had to marry to keep face.

But I think that they would have never been truly happy with anyone else. especially Tom, he’d never be really comfortable with anyone.

My happily ever after for them:

VoldemortWins!AU, they conquer Europe, Bella is Minister for War, Voldemort the Emperor. Maybe they have a kid, maybe a couple more or none at all, who cares, the point is they live and fulfull their dreams of revolutionising the Wizarding Wolrd.

I also have a sappy afterlife!AU where for a while Bella is imprisoned at the family castle for having a halfblood little bastard, goes half-insane as Voldemort seacrhes for her (they had a spat right after they got there), and Delphi kills herself and goes to find her dad in small-child form. They finally get tgether and live deathly ever after in some Norwegian fjord in the frozen tundra. (it’s also my personal happy ending, only it’s cats and snakes)

How I feel about this character:

I love Bella. She’s a bitch and a sadist, but I love her.

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character:

The one and only, his majesty the Dark Lord himself.

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character:

Rodolphus, he’s her only friend.

Also, sad HC: Bella was very close to Andromeda until she got too involved with Voldemort and his cause, and they drifted apart. No one wept harder than Bella after Andy left, and it was her who spent days banging on the Tonks’ door to let them speak to her. Voldy could squeeze tears out of his shirt after she fell asleep on him crying about it.

My unpopular opinion about this character:

Again, not sure about what’s unpopular.

I believe she suffers from genuine mental illness that tortures her a lot and makes her life (and her shared life with Voldemort too) very hard. Also I find her more self-doubting and reserved than most authors, hard working and largely indifferent to people who aren’t Voldemort.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:

Actual romantic scene would have been nice, but HE SCREAMED after all. Let’s not ask for too much.

Favorite friendship for this character:

Rodolphus and Andromeda. Recently I’ve started Brotp-ing Sirius with Bella too, before they parted ways.
