if you're thinking about whether to join the chat or not, i say do it. we get up to a lot of shenanigans, mischief, hijinks, rascality, monkey business and tomfoolery there. abbi would probably like to have some daryl attracted people there (i've hit a slump keep it a secret thanks).

i don't really talk to anyone on the discord outside of the go, so you're okay about that !! the only exception is @dxrylswalker / @weretheones bc i met them like irl a couple of times. it’s also not bc any of them are unfriendly or unwelcoming or anything its just cause i can’t carry a conversation to save my life so 😂🤣😂🤣😂

Haru, my darling, you know how in our perfect little world Daryl fell in love with us and Negan never happens? Well I had a dream where Daryl was set in that time and he was thriving. He was teaching himself mechanics and some engineering, he let his hair grow out further and he wore it up more, he filled out a bit cause we feed him so well but still had them arms (🤤) and he even smiled more. That man looked like he was walking on clouds but still with his determined, serious gate. His shoulders were less tense than they usually were, his smile less reserved, his laugh came out more often. He felt lighter in body, mind and spirit with only the weight of your love to keep him grounded.

ummm i don’t really have a song that reminds me of daryl specifically, but i do have a couple of songs that make me think of like a relationship with him? i use them as background music when im writing bc i just 🤌🤌 need that extra umph to make me want to write ukno?

some of the songs include

gold rush since i think it captures daryl’s whole, idk, apprehension? about pursuing a relationship? it’s the pining and admiration and how they’re not pursuing the relationship because of the fact they don’t really see themselves as “worth enough” for the other person and their emotions towards them are almost an, idk, anger?-filled affection? idk, that part just really does it for me.

Dancing With Our Hands Tied is another one that’s very 🤌🤌 bc it talks about like, wanting to hold onto a relationship even though the world is essentially collapsing around them? its also talking about how one person was kinda fucked up romance-wise but the other person showed them that they didn’t need to keep feeling that way? ik the overall implication of the song is that their relationship isnt supposed to last or whatever, but i think of it as in how, in the apocalypse, neither you nor your partner are ever really in, like, a safe place? idk i think it’s romantic bc they’re holding onto this relationship even though they know a future is less than promised to them.

another one of my favourites is Paper Rings bc its just so fun and happy and i really love thinking of daryl and his partner being fun and happy together ufeel me? the song is just so feel good abt just wholeheartedly loving a person and how you’re gonna be their ride or die. like c’mon. i like shiny things but i’d marry you with paper rings?? DOES THAT NOT SEEM LIKE SOMETHING DARYL WOULD DO?? like make you a ring out of a bullet casing or wrap a piece of twine around your finger with so much love in his eyes that you don’t even hear him tell you he’d try and find an actual one later? c’mon guys be serious

sorry for being a little mia for a month or two fic wise, but i’m still writing, dw !! i went through a horrible dry spell inspiration wise where i couldn’t bring myself to write, but then when school started again and i wanted to write so bad but genuinely couldn’t find the time to in between studying and maintaining my social life.

i’m currently working on a fic that im pretty sure is gonna be around 10k words, but it’s currently midterm season so i’m!! very much!! not feeling good!! i thought about maybe doing like a couple sleepover type events where i write like 500 word drabbles to little sentence starters you guys give me? but idk would anyone even want that 😭

idk sorry to rant(?) but yeah, i promise im not dead writing wise, just a little preoccupied </3
