Love how people notice that Korra and Aang would fit in if they switched places (Korra loving being the avatar and learning easily wouldn’t have needed to go on that training trip, and Aang not really wanting to be the avatar would fit in a time where people feel they moved beyond the need for one)

But I also want to point out that it’s actually important that the avatar sticks out like a sore thumb (Korra wouldn’t have run off and even as a prodigy could a child fight off a whole army? Also I feel like Aang’s journey was a healing one for everyone involved, something important would’ve been lost if the avatar hadn’t done it)

(And if Aang had been in Korra’s time, listening to the people and content to not live life as an avatar, creeps like Amon would’ve been able to go unopposed, as well as probably some other issues, my Korra knowledge beyond the first season is vague, but I stand by my point)

Just, as much as the avatar connects people, they also need to be able to go against the flow to get done what needs to be done

i feel very frustrated about the trend of giving chil body hair bc if it was any other anime twink i would be thrilled its just that it seems to only be because people are SO afraid of him looking young they have to make him hairy to justify liking him in ships.

meanwhile it does directly go against canon (he literally is supposed to look like a child. this is integral to both his character and his race's lore as a whole and it makes no damn sense that he would be mistaken for a child if he has body hair i mean. cmon.)

and it's like. some men are hairless. some men look young. when youre a trans man in your 20s-30s its especially common to be mistaken for a teenager, even more so if you're not on t. and short. these traits do not make you less of a man or an adult. :/

Working on new years eve sucks man I hate this

Even better is I open tomorrow (an hour earlier than I was supposed to, yaaaaay) bc the employee called off with only a day's warning. So I'm probably gonna be working alone on new years day. Honestly thank god for my job because I was driving in hating everyone and everything and desiring to become a hermit and now that I’m at work I’m vibing and don’t have near as much malice in my heart

#one other thing is i dont even dislike my actual job... like the baking part and seeing dogs and stuff #ive always had issues with the management but i felt like i didn't have to handle it that much bc im not full time #but now they're maming me handle it #like if they just let me bake my little dog treats in peace i could hang back and let the full time employees attack them #which they kinda have lol but also they've kinda just quit too #but a lot of people there are paying rent or tuition or all of their own food and working 40hrs a week #they need their jobs and they deserve to be treated better !! i never truly needed this job bc i live at home #i enjoy it bc im baking !! let me just be a shadow and bake #but now i need it more bc im saving to move...#and im not a baking shadow anymore!! they hate me!!!! ok well what if i just quit!!!!!#but its so scary and getting a new job is scary and im gonna miss baking so much #anyway ❤️
