You recently found out that your boyfriend loved another girl. It wasn't just some hook up. But another lover. Apparently he had loved this girl more than you. He chose her instead of you. 

You'd since then not been showing up to work, fallen behind, and not been taking good care of yourself either. The psychological and emotional pain took such a toll on sweet you that it began to manifest in other ways, hurting physically. Your heart felt like it was ripping apart slowly and you could barely take the pain.

Meanwhile, you were in the comfort of your own condo you'd been couped up inside for weeks. Scrolling through social media, a post of your now ex boyfriend with her. You decided to take a shower to pamper yourself, hoping it will get rid of the nausea. You shaved all over, washed your body, face, hair, and then took a few minutes to relax under the water, massaging your scalp and back. Once you exited the shower, you dried off and walked back to the couch still fully nude. After all, this is your house so you get to do and wear whatever you please. And it hit you again. What did he see in her that he couldn't see in you? The thoughts slowly consuming you.

Just then, a knock on the door to the balcony. It's Hawks. Pulling herself off the couch and quickly grabbing a baggie shirt to cover yourself. What could he be here for? Softly, you slid the door open." Hawks? I-I mean, Keigo?What are you doing here?" You raised a brow as you looked up at the tall figure standing before you." I came to check on you like I always do, kiddo. Why? Am I not allowed to?" The blonde joked as he stroked your still wet (h/l), (h/c) hair." I told you, stop calling me kiddo. I'm only two years younger than you, we're not too far off." You huffed, pushing Hawks' hand away." Fine, fine. Anyways, can I come in?" Hawks smiled the same smile that you could never say no to. You two sat on the couch, Hawks laid down with you perched between his legs. You two were always close friends since your days at academy together, so it's no surprise you're so comfortable like this with each other. Somewhat discreetly, you continued scrolling through your ex's social media, catching Hawk's eye. He let out a low grumble and snatched the phone out from your grasp and plopped it on the coffee table." What was that for?" You whined as you turned around, scooting up so now your soft chest was pressed into Hawks' firm chest." You told me you were going to get over him. You can't do that if you're constantly thinking about him or scrolling through his social media. He's a no good, two timing jerk who's not worth your time at all." Hawks' tone was more serious. You gave him a surprised look as you hadn't heard him like this in a long time.

The tense silence was broken by tears and quiet sobs from you. Hawks placed his finger under your chin, causing you to look up into his crimson eyes." Shh, listen. Don't cry. He's not worth your tears either. Now, what can I do to help you forget about him?" Hawks gently wiped the tears from your flushed cheeks as he stared longingly into your (e/c) eyes." I-I don't know..." You squeaked out." (Name)." Hawks' voice had lowered significantly, almost to the point where he was whispering. You felt a familiar tension between the two of you. A tension you didn't mind.

" I'm only saying this because I care about you... So, what if..."

You felt your heartbeat increase and your cheeks as well as your whole body become hot. Hawks felt the same sensation in his chest as well. He had been wanting this for so long.

" What if I helped you move onto someone else?"

His voice was smooth and as sweet as candy. Your gaze moved onto his lips, causing you to blush more." Like who?" Hawks concentrated on your plump lips he'd desired for for so long.

" Someone like me."

After those words, he'd locked lips with yours. It was quite startling. Your eyes widened yet shimmered with passion and thus, you melted into the kiss. Your heart was now beating rapidly. And all of a sudden, your ex was a figment of the past. Now that the two of you were so close, you noticed his scent was a lot more appealing and his breath was fresh and minty. Hawks wrapped his arms around you and sat up so now that you were upright on his lap, continuing to make contact. Hawks placed his hands from your cheeks, to shoulders, and then to hips. Creating friction against each other as moans and pants escaped the both of you, until you eventually pulled away.

" Keigo..." You whispered, shocked by the whole situation. You never would have known Hawks had feelings for you. You felt a sense of guilt as well. How long had he liked you for? You'd been in a relationship with your ex for well over a year before they split. And even the split was recent. You knew Hawks since your freshman year at the academy they attended together. Hawks moved a loose strand of still damp hair out of your face and continued to stare at her." Sorry. I know that was sudden so it might be a lot to take in-" " N-no! I mean... I feel the same way." You were a blushing mess now if you weren't one before. But you couldn't lie to yourself.

That kiss, and the burning passion within you... It's as if something just rose to the surface that you forgot you had buried deep inside of you, laying dormant. Something you couldn't contain anymore." Keigo... You were always there for me no matter what. You still are. I haven't been fair to you. I had no idea you felt this way about me. I'm sorry for that... but would it be okay if I make it up to you?" You looked up at him with pleading eyes. Your confession shocked him, but he was happy nonetheless." You silly girl." Hawks suddenly brought you into a tight bear hug and the two of you began your usual play fight.

" Okay, I've gotta get going now. It's already dark and I've still got some hero stuff to take care of." Hawks gets up while picking you up into another tight bear hug, eventually setting you back down on the ground. You then saw him off saying your goodbyes as you watched in awe as he flew off from the balcony." Never gets old." You smiled. Overcome with a fit of blushing, you replayed the memory of what happened a few moments ago, steam practically evaporating from your head.

" Wait! Please, don't do this! Don't!" 

" It's not my fault. You broke her heart. So I'm going to break you."

" Please! Show mercy!"

" Hmm, let me think."

" !!!"

" Mm, no."

Hawks watched coldly as he dropped the boy from above the clouds. When Hawks killed someone, he usually enjoyed hearing their screams, but he found himself rather annoyed hearing this one scream. Maybe it's because of the fact that the pitiful excuse of a man had broken his true love's heart.

So I was thinking about the parallels between Cobra Kai and Fight Club--mainly that macho dudebros who idolize Tyler Durden and/or the entirety of the “Hawk” persona are entirely missing the point and the general commentary that toxic masculinity is like...bad--and before I knew it, my mind wandered to an Elimetri Fight Club AU and I realized it’d be like...beyond perfect??? I’m shitting myself with excitement so y’all get to hear about it, buckle up!

BIG BOI SPOILERS FOR FIGHT CLUB BELOW, DON’T KEEP READING IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN IT YET AND YOU WANT TO

Anyways just imagine Eli as the protagonist, “Hawk” as Tyler Durden, and Demetri as Marla (genderbent, obviously lol). Like maybe Eli stays in Cobra Kai under Kreese’s influence and as a result, his mental health just COMPLETELY tanks to the point where his grip on reality itself starts slipping (which isn’t really THAT far-fetched, considering that not a single goddamn person has tried SENDING THIS POOR KID TO THERAPY and every adult in his life is FUCKIN USELESS) and he’s in a bad enough place a few years down the line to actually start seeing Hawk as a completely separate person. Of course, before this happens, he eventually feels like he has to “grow up” and give up the “Hawk” persona--he stops taking karate, he goes to college, he gets a “normal,” well-paying, respectable job. But even escaping from Kreese, even assimilating into what seems to be a peaceful and stable life, it doesn’t make him happy--he figures all his bridges are too far burned to mend, and his old friends who he alienated now probably hate him too much to ever want anything to do with him again, after all the shit he pulled while in Cobra Kai. Never having the best social skills, Eli is certainly no natural at making new friends either---he’s decently friendly with some of his coworkers, but that’s about all he has in the way of a social life. He’s lonely, he’s frustrated with his repetitive, empty life, he’s bored with his job, and perhaps worst of all--the remnants of his Hawk personality never really left. That aggressive streak, that thirst for violence, that burn for a fight--it’s still there, no matter how deep he’s pushed it. Then one day, on the way back from another dull business trip, he meets a guy about his age who wears his hair just like Eli wore it back in high school. He even goes by the same old nickname Johnny Lawrence once gave to Eli--how about that? Hawk encourages Eli to get back into karate to get out some of that pent-up aggression, but isn’t interested in doing it with all the “suffocating constraints” of a normal adult martial arts class. Before Eli knows it, he and Hawk have started an underground “Karate Club” where basically, anything goes.

Demetri, meanwhile, has gone off the deep end arguably just as much as Eli--his grief at losing his friendship with Eli sent him spiraling into a deep depression, and he ended up feeling so numb and unmotivated that he dropped out of school, turning to drugs and alcohol to cope and to just be able to feel something again. His new self-destructive tendencies and crushing depression have completely exhausted and driven most of his old friends away--Miguel, Sam, Chris, Nate. Now, scraping by working at a dingy convenience store, Demetri is nearly as alone as Eli. He starts going to random support groups just to have someone to talk to--imagine his surprise when he runs into his old friend Eli Moskowitz, infiltrating support groups for exactly the same reason. He’s ecstatic when Eli reaches out, wanting to reconnect and try being friends again after all these years. However, with as much as both their minds have already spiraled, it’s hardly going to be rainbows and butterflies for Demetri just because Eli is back in his life. And the same Hawk who once snapped his arm in half is not nearly as gone as Demetri thinks...

As relieved as Eli is to have Demetri back, his new friend Hawk...complicates things. Hawk treats Demetri with open scorn and contempt, chastising him for being a “weak pussy” whose relative maturity and logical senses (which, Eli can’t help but notice, have seemed to increased back to what he remembers from high school since Demetri started spending time with Eli--almost like the self-destructive habits and drug and alcohol abuse stopped as soon as Demetri had something to live for) are “suppressing” the violent, primal urges Hawk so much revels in. And yet, somewhat unexpectedly, Hawk lusts for Demetri like Eli never expected. Before Eli knows it, Hawk and Demetri are regularly fucking like the world is on fire and they’ll never get the chance again. And Eli doesn’t know what to think--he can’t imagine why Demetri would want to sleep with someone who treats him like utter filth the rest of the time. And Eli doesn’t much like the way Hawk treats Demetri, either--to the point where he questions if he really wants to be around his cool new friend as much as he thinks. And of course, there’s the fucking awful icing on the cake to top everything off--Eli is falling in love with Demetri, and he knows it’ll end terribly.

Demetri is...concerned, to say the least. It’s starting to baffle him, how Eli is flipping back and forth seemingly at random between the timid, meek best friend he had for years and the hyper-masculine asshole with spiked hair who made his life hell in high school. But he vows he’s going to get Eli through...whatever this is, and he’s not going to let Eli lose his mind. Demetri refuses to lose him again, no matter what it takes. But that might be harder than Demetri thinks, given the fact that the karate club Eli’s started with “Hawk” is already getting WAY out of hand...

But Demetri can’t say anything about that, can he? After all, the first rule of Karate Club is you don’t TALK about Karate Club. Well...unless you’re talking to yourself about it where you think Demetri can’t hear, anyways. Things are just getting more insane by the day.

Legit SO HYPED about this, like I can’t stop thinking about how similar the Eli/Hawk and Narrator/Tyler dichotomies are??? Like we’ve got this meek, timid, rule-following guy who just does what other people want him to for the most part and tries not to stand out, and then we have the side of him that has all this explosive, repressed anger at the world and the society he’s forced to live in (even if it’s just the “society” of high school lol) and this destructive hypermasculine energy and it’s lowkey FASCINATING to me??? And Tyler even has flashy, flamboyant clothing the same way Hawk has flashy, flamboyant hair!!! And of course Demetri tries to be the “Marla” in that he’s the Voice of Reason who’s the only one who really tries to help this guy battling his own head. And some of Marla’s dialogue to the narrator/Tyler sounds EXACTLY like the kind of thing Demetri would say when Eli is flipping back and forth between “Hawk” and “Eli,” it’s PERFECT. Like I am SO DOWN for this AU, if someone writes this I will sell you every limb on my body. It’d be dark as shit and probably can’t really work without both Eli and Demetri being a LITTLE insane, but ohhhh baby, that’s what I love about it <3 THE ANGST! THE DRAMA! THE PAIN! I live for it!!!</p>

Deshalb frage ich mich, ob der Coronavirus die Strafe ist die unsere Gesellschaft verdient. Wir wissen alles aber auch nichts. Wir lieben alles und keinen. Wir beten Frauen mit dicken Ärschen an, anstatt Exzentriker, die uns Strom brachten. Welch erstaunliches Paradoxon dieses Konstrukt namens Lebens doch ist. Wenn ich heute vor den Toren Disneys scheisse, war ich dann lustig oder habe ich gegen etwas demonstriert? Realität und Wahrheit sind nur Dinge, an die wir glauben wollen. Die mächtige Waffe des Populismus der seltsamerweise einen weit größeren Einfluss auf das menschliche Geschlecht geübt hat. Für all jene, die dies nicht verstanden haben. Oberflächlichkeiten sollten niemals ein Gradmesser sein. Alles ist schön, nichts ist schön. Wissen hingegen, und damit muss ich Arthur und Tyler widersprechen, ist gerecht und fair aber sollte genausowenig ein Grund sein sich Zucker in den Arsch zu blasen. Um es mal frei nach Stephen Hawking zu zitierten. Und in all der Trübseligkeit liegt ein Nebel, der sich wälzt wie ein böser Geist, der Ruhe sucht, ohne sie zu finden. Unsere Begierde nach Aufmerksamkeit und Verlangen wird alleine von Computermonitoren und Wein nicht befriedigt und so befinden wir uns schwebend über dem Häusermeer in unseren prunkvollen Zellen, die uns umso mehr unsere Rastlosigkeit zeigen. Die wir weder akzeptieren, noch eingestehen wollen, was die darauf folgende Stille umso eindrucksvoller macht.

Das alles fing zur dreizehnten Stunde, des dreizehnten Tags im gefühlten dreizehnten Monat an. Es handelt sich um eine Geschichte über Rache und Mord. Die Baker Street, eine beliebte und belebte Straße, doch um ehrlich zu sein haben wir keine Ahnung wann, wo und weshalb es anfing. Mit Sicherheit wissen wir jetzt mehr denn je, dass die Dinge, die wir besitzen,  in Wirklichkeit uns besitzen und zum Nullpunkt zu kommen kein Wochenendausflug ist. Vielleicht liegt es in unserer Natur, aber vielleicht lernen wir auch  daraus und beginnen die Grenzen zu schätzen, anstatt sie einzureißen und unsere Umwelt so zu behandeln, wie wir es selber für uns möchten. Nicht Covid19 ist der Virus, sondern der Mensch.
