You sat on the couch, mindlessly watching tv when the door banged open. The loud noise made you jump up and scream. The sight of what came next made you feel worse.

In walked Harrison Osterfield. He looked very handsome in his suit but all you could think about was how pale his skin was, and the long red trail that followed him. 

“Is that blood?” you asked confused. All he could do was nod his head weakly “No”. 

He stumbled inside, falling and sliding against the wall, which also left a dark red streak behind him. The handprint was an undeniable contrast to the beige wallpaper. 

“Harrison!” without hesitation you ran up and fell down next to him. Your hands cupped his ice-cold cheeks. Beads of sweat were falling down his forehead and his hair stuck to it messily. 

“What happened?” you held him close to you as you tried to see what caused all of the blood spilling around you. You unbuttoned his navy jacket to see that the fancy white dress shirt underneath it was very far from white now. The crimson kept spilling and the pool around you was getting larger and larger. You had no idea what to do. He wasn’t responding to anything you were saying to him. 

“No, Harrison, please.” your eyes were blurring with tears. You kept pushing them away. You needed to see him now. You couldn’t possibly miss your last seconds with him. 

But his eyes started to close slowly. There was a high-pitched ringing in his ears and the blackness was overwhelming him. The pain was getting worse and worse until… it was gone. 

Harrison shot up straight with a loud gasp of air. The cold sweat ran down his whole body and his chest was rising up and down heavily. He started to pat down his abdomen. There was nothing. No blood. No wounds. Nothing. 

“Oh god.” with a hand through his hair he sighed and fell back on his pillow. Only for a second until he started to search for something on the other side of the bed. 

“y/n,” he whispered. There was no response. “Wake up.”  He said a bit louder but there was still no response except for a shrug. “Please wake up!” 

“What is it?” you groaned and turned around to face your boyfriend. The moonlight coming through the drapes illuminates his face just right so you could see how his eyes were sparkling. Or maybe those were tears. 

“I- Sorry. I just had a bad dream.” You could feel his hand comb through your hair, making you feel at ease and sleepy again. 

“Tell me about it,” you said softly. 

“I walked into the house. Covered in blood and- and I think I died,” he told you, 

“So you died and then woke me up to check if I was okay?” you asked and he hummed an “mhm” right before you hit him with a small pillow. 

“You’re a dumbass.” you laughed before giving him a kiss to the cheek.
