Nocnica is a common enough name for a slavic night demon that there are at least 5 different ones under its belt. The one me and @kiszoneszczury settled on is a less common personification of sickness that can foretell death.

It's also an old polish word for moth!

I based the design on death's-head hawkmoth specifically. I mean it literally has a skull its back (it's also the biggest moth found in poland, with wingspan up to 13cm)
