Ever since Mark had read that the baby could hear everything they were saying, that just made him want to talk to the baby even more. They started to react when he spoke, feeling the gentle kicks beneath his hands. 

“And that’s why the Yankee’s are the best.” He teased, a cheeky smile on his lips as he looked up to Lexie. “I think they agree.”

it seems like hours pass within the mere moment that addison pauses,  lips parting ever so slightly as she switches into ‘DOCTOR MODE’ in the blink of an eye.   “you’ve certainly got that option,  grey.  no one’s ever required to have a baby,”   doctor mode disappears as quickly as it had appeared,  lips pressing together as she lets out a sigh,   “this is ‘friend addison’ talking right now,  i want to make that clear,  but take it from me,  okay?  make sure you don’t make any decision without talking to  —  the father first.  god,  i mean,  that’s not a requirement either,  you know?  it just….”   eyes shut,  a surprising SMILE crossing her lips as she shakes her head,   “i was in a similar position once,  and i DIDN’T discuss my decision with the father,  and part of me has regretted it ever since,”

                 “Hey. I’m sorry to be calling this late. Are you at work?” she asked, not really knowing if Lexie would be home or not. She was already in front of her apartment building, but she’d turn around if she wasn’t there. Calling at midnight wasn’t as rude as knocking on her door at midnight, right? She had just acted on impulse and had only now realized she might have been asleep. “I’m sorry if I woke you up.”

first things first i love you too and thank you, like it takes me 97 and a half years to write anything and even then i pretty much always question the quality of it, so i’m glad someone is out there enjoying it. secondly, if either of us needs to be commended for putting up with the other it’s you because you deal with me and my crap sleep schedule and me sending you snapchats at like 4am of my cat doing dumb things or the fact that i cannot deal with the spider in my hallway.

As Lexie suddenly pressed her lips to Addison’s, the attending’s eyes nearly shot out of her head.

She was too shocked to respond, and too shocked to push Lexie away. She certainly wasn’t angry, or upset. In fact, Lexie was proving to be a fairly good kisser, considering Addison was stuck stupidly unresponsive. She was just.. startled.

As the intern, (Meredith’s little sister..?), pulled away, it was all she could do but stand there, gaping. /Was this supposed to be her reason not to leave?/
