I should have known. I know I should have known. But I am losing my mind over Jesse Armstrong’s writing credits.

If this man can go from writing for kids tv, to creating/writing iconic British sitcoms and sketch shows, to creating one of the greatest tv shows of all time, you really can do anything.

#HE CO-CREATED PEEP SHOW #like it MAKES SO MUCH SENSE #also Fresh Meat but I haven’t actually seen it yet #he also wrote for That Mitchell and Webb look! which… funnily enough I just rewatched the entirety of last month #some good bits but also… some not great bits #not forgetting he wrote on In The Loop and The Thick of It LIKE DUH OFC #and the kids tv??? an ep of My Parents Are Aliens?? a few eps of The Queen’s Nose?? a couple of Tracey Beaker?? WHAT #he also co-write the force majeure remake Downhill which I did not like at all #my one star review on letterboxd says ‘It focused too much on the conflict and did a poor job of patching things up.’#AND YOU’RE TELLING ME THIS MAN CREATED SUCCESSION??#he got so lucky honestly looking at everything else #yeah sure a few British comedy classics but uhhhh SUCCESSION?#everything aligned so beautifully for that to be what it is #absolutely insane
