properly drew my 2 skyrimlians; Agnes, the tryhard failure, and the recently born Gorshi, the 'neat' one.. sometimes a good guy, sometimes a bad guy. sort of polar opposites maybe.
and their respective horses !!! 😝🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎

The way I tend to characterize the Alan-created stick figures is that his mindset in the moment he made them defines who they are, even if their personalities and habits can change over their years of existence.
Victim was made solely to be tormented in an early 00s style violent stick figure animation. This means he views everything in terms of how much of a threat it is to him, and is singularly focused on taking revenge on his tormentor. If he's not the "victim", he's not really anything - he has no identity. He may or may not already know that Alan's a changed person who now treats his creations with kindness, but either way, it wouldn't stop him from seeking out revenge.
The Chosen One was made to be powerful, first and foremost, because the Animator wanted a challenge. That's why it's in his nature to rebel, to break the status quo, to disrupt. It doesn't mean he's evil, just that he tends to go against the grain of the current situation. At first it means he's seeking to break the Animator's control of the computer, then he says "screw destiny" by befriending the one made solely to destroy him, then they cause more chaos across the internet because it's in their nature. But the longer he stays in that, the more he thinks he needs to change, that this isn't right - because, again, he was never made to be evil, just powerful and disruptive.
That's why the Dark Lord is so fucked: he was made as a weapon. Just to destroy. His only reason for coming into existence was because the Animator needed the Chosen One dealt with. He doesn't reject the status quo, he follows it, no matter who's telling him what it is - first it's the Animator, then it's Chosen, his only friend. Whereas Chosen starts to have second thoughts, it's not in Dark's nature to do so - only to improve, to polish the violence and destruction to an absolute mirror sheen, all to impress the one person he cares about. When Chosen turns on him and the Animator is still his enemy, I think the only reason Dark is still causing destruction is because that's literally all he's ever done. It's all he knows. He can't imagine anything outside that because he has no experience with anything else.
And that's why, from a symbolic standpoint, the Second Coming is his greatest threat and the one to defeat him. She's his antithesis. Made years after everything with Chosen and Dark was over and done with, made just because the Animator was doing what he loved: creating. And unlike with Victim, she was probably intended to do more than suffer and die for black comedy.
Second's core ability is creating, no matter what environment she's in - she uses the pencil in the main series to effortlessly make living beings or tools, constantly crafts and comes up with ideas in the Minecraft series, and learns the rules of the universes around her to use them to her benefit in the Education series. Dark only knows destruction. Second only knows creation. Even after she seemingly wins in IV, she tosses the ray gun aside and starts making things now that she has free reign of the computer - she only seeks to destroy so long as there's a threat to herself or what she cares about.

Also there're so many reasons why durge might want to deny Bhaal, aside from general "killing is bad, the god of murder is bad."
Orin betrayed them and it was somewhat from silent approval of Bhaal, so "god betrayed me first" kind of narrative. A desire to get revenge, on Orin AND on Bhaal.
A desire to live. Durge's fate, Durge's Destiny is to literally kill everyone and then themselves. What if they want to live? What if desire to live is stronger than desire to kill?
Alternatively, what if there's someone they don't want to kill? A single person for Durge to care about, a single person they would want to save instead of bloodying father's altar with their blood. A single connection like that is all what it would take.
A desire to break free. Durge can be completely okay with murders, loving murdering people even, reveling in violence. But they're their father's puppet and they could want to break free of it, to have their own will, to have only their voice in their head. To be a master of themselves with no one to kneel to.
The "I'm better than my father" kind of mindset. Durge is made of a flesh of a god, in a sense they ARE god. Bhaal was mortal once. Why would Durge listen to him when they can attempt to overthrow him, to become a new god?
Being compelled to other side. It's not unknown for gods to steal each other's followers/chosen ones. Look at Ketheric, look at Shadowheart. Myrkul is recently chosen-less after the Moonrise Towers. Bane would love to fuck with Bhaal like that. Shar is there. Good gods who would try to redeem Durge or use them against their own father are there. It would be a delightful power move from Selune to offer Durge assistance/ an alliance against Bhaal.
Idk, I just love how multidimensional the defiance of Bhaal can be. I have a lil army of Durges exactly because I can mold them into such different people

who is Kano Yurgen??? I tried looking them up & the only thing that comes up is your blogpost mentioning them
THAT'S BECAUSE IT WAS TWO A.M. AND I SPELLED IT WRONG (ahem) thank you for your diligence. Kano JURGEN, WITH A J, is the protagonist of the webcomic Kagerou, which heads up I'm about to spoil some of the fun of reading to sell you on it. Kano is a psychic who among other things can see dead people and relive their memories who also has a diverse cornucopia of neurodivergence and trauma and CANNOT tell these things apart from each other. Because he cannot control the medium shit whatsoever when canon starts, his brain has just been a vacuum for traumatized ghosts. They just get shlooped into his mindscape and set themselves up there. He's also a system (part of a system? phrasing struggles) who initially appears to have the "one of the personalities is a serial killer!" trope happening but surprise that is ALSO a ghost who stole Kano's face and figured out how to possess the body after Kano happened to see him die (cue spectral brain vacuum noise) and everybody else in the comparatively normal system fucking hates him. The ghosts of that guy's victims from life are also hanging out and also fucking hate him.
After a lifetime of struggling over whether to be reasonable and accept that he's hallucinating enormous amounts of his life experiences or maintain that his brain isn't that creative, Kano's just-barely-holding-shit-together coping mechanisms are all thrown out of whack when his ass gets isekaied into a fantasy world, handed a magic sword, and informed that a captured princess summoned him to be a goddess's chosen one and save the world. I'm sure you won't be surprised at this point that this premise is ALSO intensely reconstructive in various layers of ways I don't have time to get into.
Based on this description what year do you think the author came up with and started working on it? WRONG: mid 90's.
Intended to strew this with example panels but everything relevant enough I kept having to look at and go "Hmm... I can't put that on Tumblr." So here's Kano et al versus zombies.

I don't know if it was the audio quality or not but it's so hilarious that Eddie just goes BUCK in such a loud voice. It's giving me 'I'm so cool with my queer best friend I'm so supportive' 😭✋🏽. "You look great together" and he sounds strangled, still talking in a high pitch voice. "Have fun, stay safe!", he probably says as he grins too wide while clutching his forgotten girlfriend's hand tightly.

Soooooo I wrote this incredibly self-indulgent thing about Miles. I have many feelings about how he keeps himself so tightly in control. It's gotta go somewhere.
Disclaimer it's quite dark, so mind the trigger warning and keep yourself safe <3
TW: self-harm, not what I would consider graphic descriptions, but it is the central theme and way more than a mention
The lock clicks. He slips his suit jacket off. Loosens then removes his tie. Untucked, buttons undone. It’s all laid out on the bed. Step by step. Shoes set to the side and trousers swapped for silken pajama pants.
The bathroom door closes behind him. The second lock between him and the world. The shower comes on. Towel laid out on the counter.
His drawer, second down on the left. He pulls out the small black bag. Gold zipper. Supple leather. Inside, his collection. Three packs of new razor blades. An open pack of blades; used ones tucked into the back. A single hypodermic needle. A crafting knife. Two unopened band aids.
The rest of the drawer’s contents is ignored, antiseptic and suture kits, butterfly closures and rolls of gauze, in favor of practiced hands sliding the tin of blades from the bag and the blade from the tin.
He sits on the toilet, lid down. Elbow straight. Fist clenched. The first slice with a small inhale. Bright and sharp and stinging. Familiar and comforting. Line after line as red blooms from the wounds. The ecstasy second only to the Kiss. Rivulets follow gravity down. Strategically placed tissues catch the mess.
Stained crimson, they fall into the waste basket. He flexes his wrist, testing the pull of the broken skin, blots the last of the blood away. Blade inspected and stowed; everything returned to it’s place. Pajamas folded on top of the toilet, he steps into the shower.

Read the book. It was terrible. And then I saw what they were doing with this movie and who they've cast and how the promo's going. Happy to be a hater of it and the author <3
(Like if you want to tell the story about escaping DV, make something up, don't adapt a book from someone who is defending their rapist son)
yes, exactly! they're All in the wrong but it bothers me how this zionist who decided to adapt the book in the first place is getting no heat whatsoever

i rmr when all the initial meta around endgame was coming out people were talking about steve being depressed and whatnot and it's like well yeah but he's BEEN depressed, like he woke up alone in this century and he kept going, now i can understand it being worse this time after finding a family and getting bucky back and losing them all except of course that's not why endgame steve was on about so like......the people writing meta were trying to connect these things that of course weren't really there on screen because that simply wasn't our steve
but i think it really could've been SO interesting to see this is the thing that finally makes steve stay down like he's lost so much and he just CAN'T keep fighting like i get some people think that's what they were going for but considering the ending......it's really not. and so i'm just thinking about a version after iw, maybe he gets some of the thor treatment except not turning his depression into a dumb fatphobic joke lol and maybe nat and others are trying to get through to him and it just doesn't work and then we get some flashbacks (which you could have done for all the original avengers actually which would be particularly important for bruce and nat and clint who did not have their own trilogies) including his mom telling him "you always stand up" and THAT being the thing to finally get him moving like it would've been such a perfect way to finally show sarah rogers some respect and ACTUALLY show steve really struggling instead of whatever they tried to do with him in that movie

no see bc if vlad was acting as valerie's mentor and valerie during that time of being vlad's protégé developed this mindset that only she can only save herself and that she can't let anyone else in on her secret bc other ppl would only get hurt or wouldn't understand/hold her back from her responsibilities bc vlad fostered those ideas into her it would show how being under vlad's tutelage ultimately had negative consequences for valerie's mental state going forward

I am going to need that rewrite on my desk by tomorrow, 12 point font, times new roman, double spaced
noOOOOOO IT'S TOO MUCH WORK!!! I DON'T HAVE TIME AND I DON'T CARE ENOUGH........ girl help!
my rewrite where uhhhhhhhhhh. everything is the same except the writers actually care about female characters. a lot of decisions were made because of actresses no longer being available so plotlines like fish's are more or less the same but like, Ivy either gets to grow up normally or is never a child at the beginning to start with (you can go the weird plant body route if you have to keep her relatively younger since this is a prequel ig), and I don't... even know what to make of KK or Isabella, and Sofia should just be fucking. dont tell me there isn't a single female italian bodybuilder who can act, I don't believe you. let her be buff. let her take up space. let her be huge and wear vintage fashion.
also Oswald is fat and trans

And as if 3 durges weren't enough, I just created a Tav. Who is a lil guy with one of the most fucked up origins ever. Also Myrkul is kind of his stepdad???
And he is also dead. My new lil guy, not Myrkul (tho Myrkul too).
Anyway, his name is Mort (Mortimer) and he was stillborn of a very powerful wizard lady who JUST lost her husband to a freak magic incident before.
She kind of pulled Ketheric+Mayrina and refused to accept what her baby is dead.
She turned into a lil over the top Myrkul worshipper who called herself "A bride of Myrkul" and brought her baby back by unnatural means.
Which makes Mort both immortal and...uh. Dead. He is like Isobel but more fucked up. And have been this way for all of his (un)life.

the goldcrests; theodric goldcrest
theodric was born during the 13th century, and the night of his birth was illuminated by a great comet. this had been foretold and thus great things were expected of the boy. his father aegar favoured theodric over his older brother elyan and all his life he was treated as the chosen one, the one to finally bring the goldcrest rebellion to its glorious conclusion. this favouritisim drove a wedge between theo and elyan, who felt ignored and replaced by their father. theodric didn't show any particular talent for leadership and insted wished to gain the approval of his brother, much to the annoyance of both elyan and their father. like others of his family, theo also had the benefits of his great grandmother's blood magic that made his bloodline long-lived and capable of unusually strong magic.
before theodric could fullfill his grand destiny, his family was attacked by a group of vampires. while his mother kerina was killed, he himself and his brother were turned into vampires. their father searched in vain for a cure, and eventually put the boys under an enchanted sleep so no one would find out about their vampirism. aegar was slain in battle and the boys remained under the enchantment, until they were woken up by the blood of their distant relative proteus gaunt, some 600 years later. the brothers started going by the names elian and theo goldcrest, after their grandfather elyris's old epithet. they realized they had to put their differences aside as they found themselves in a completely different world than the one they'd fallen asleep in. they went back to school and began to search for an artifact their father had created, a crown to grant its wearer powers beyond imagination.
theo was not as influential or personable as elian could be (and knew they needed to be to achieve their goals), so he rarely kept up with any of his mortal connections. he felt disconnected from the wizrding world, and thus, during the 1920s and 30s, theo was working together with a radical by the name of adam brynn, who was trying to further the rights of squibs and expose magic to muggles, although eventually his ideology turned to destroying all of wizardkind. theo didn't agree despite his vampirism and the two became enemies. he didn't want to kill brynn, though, since he had feelings for him. eventually brynn's movement was defeated and he disappeared, presumably changing his name and living the rest of his life among the muggles. theo chose not to look for him.
years passed, and theo and elian didn't age. instead, they continued their search of the crown, going by several different identities. in the 21st century they returned to hogwarts after finding out that the secrets hidden at hogwarts could help them locate their long-lost family heirloom. while at school, theo met john arthur, the relative and doppelgänger of his old nemesis brynn. theo began to solve the mystery of why they looked so alike, and eventually grew rather fond of john who was nothing like his ancestor, but actually a good person. the two began a relationship and theo eventually turned john into a vampire as well. he also ended up reconciling with his brother and they were able to be a family again.
