I got those expensive ass cookies from that local vendor event yesterday and im going to be honest wit you...they were Good but not worth the price good, they were soft in the middle which i love but they really tasted like Dough and Ingredients... like i could Taste and Feel a Hint of Flour throughout eating them. HOWEVER. walk me with if you will on the mental image of a modern au young adult dion having a long overdue stress and possibly family related meltdown aimed in the wrong direction at terence to the tune of 'you deserve someone who will love you right....' bc he's 20 and an idiot and terence handles it with a commendable amount of grace but still sets a two week no contact boundary while he figures out how he's supposed to feel. meanwhile day 2 terenceless dion is full-blown ugly crying in his car to top 40 lewis capaldi type ballads. he won't stop checking his phone every 3 minutes. he's there at the stroke of midnight on what is just barely day 15 sopping wet from cliche rain and tracking mud and his feelings on terence's parents' carpet. he begs everyone not to mention this during the wedding toasts because he's still embarrassed about it 8 years later

Like, he's aware of Roland "squiring" for Merlin, which is a little weird to him, but she's still fulfilling her duties and reporting for training, so he can't actually complain and he would've knighted Merlin already if he didn't know Merlin would kick his ass so he lets it be until one day Roland straight-up doesn't report for morning drill, which she never does?? And when he catches her in the hall later like, "Where were you? That's not like you? Are you okay?"

Roland: Oh, I'm fine, sire, Merlin and I were at the tavern ;) and ended up staying out much later than we rightly meant to.

oh but i'm sure roland would feel really bad about it because that's her mentor and she unknowingly outed him. she would be groveling for weeks. merlin forgave her, but even then she'd feel terrible. and merlin would console her one night being all "yeah, yeah it's ok, arthur and i talked and he's reevaluating shit, so all will be fine in the end."

and when she's still upset, he'll just try and tell her than now that arthur knows they can both use their magic freely around him. but roland isn't a magic user, so she's confused when merlin tells her about all the spells he's saved to teach her. and roland is so touched that she forgets to tell him that she doesn't have magic.

Fuzzball dug a hole, so I'm taking that as a sign he's happy. Not that I care. 😝 I made an indentation under the hide. Did he use it? Of course not. Ungrateful brat dug in front of the hide and filled in the indent. 🙄 Excuse me for trying to be nice.

Sprinkles has been on top of his hide for 4 days. For a while, he had one foot on the wall, and I wasn't sure if he was settling in or not. But he seems relaxed, no stress curl, and a few times I've caught him being pretty darn sploot-y. He still hates the substrate apparently... Or just really likes his perch.

I read him all of the well wishes. He was so appreciative, he was speechless. 🥰

Think I'm gonna try to feed them in a day or three. 👩‍🍳 Hope they like mealworms.
