Just thought about … oh my god. Bakugo’s first real battle with a formidable villain after your kid is born; he’s not exactly “out of shape” (he never quit the gym, routine, etc… just changed it), but he’s thrown down hard in the first couple seconds, and he’s slower to get back into position—taking the time to steady his feet and assess the terrain, pushing out the lil tummy he gained feeding you postpartum delicacies as he cracks his back—

And the villain, god help them, decides to call out to him as they use the few seconds of vulnerability to attack again, screaming, “hey pop pop, don’t tell me parenthood has made you soft! How ‘bout I start calling you ‘daddy,’ too?”

Just as Bakugo’s turning back around with a new fire in his eyes, blood all warmed up, and shooting off to grab them by the throat to end the fight in one single move.

#Bakugo #the whole of Japan has been waiting on Bakugo’s return since he took paternity leave #so this is a big fight for him —- not just in terms of it being a test of his own strength but also because the medias hanging off his back #waiting to put out articles about whether he’s gotten stronger or weaker #they already put out tons about his ‘dad bod’ and the fact he hasn’t been focusing as hard on agility at the gym #hahaha turns out making sure his baby is strong and that you recover has taught him a lot of things #(aside from that you’ve been liking his thicker stature as of late too… aka: phat confidence booster)#and it’s that he can also be an absolute powerhouse at defensive maneuvers alongside attacking #aka: Bakugo gets back from his paternity leave with an all new fighting style 10x more sturdy than two years ago #being a dad has also made his confidence go up about 5000% so he’s become a bit more nonchalant in fights #hence why he’s not afraid to warm himself up before going in for the kill #LMAOOOO I need to let myself be corny #time to wash my hair now tho and check on my v #womiting kitty #gen #kids tw #caitie post

Something I really find interesting about Don E is that he a) seems relatively squeamish about too much blood and violence happening in front of him considering the line of work he is in, like that's an acting choice that comes up on several occasions b) he also seems really into watching Blaine torment and generally mess with people (especially psychologically) and it makes him so weird.

like, Don in the "zombies tearing up a prison bus" scene:

Drake's gutshot scene

Chief's death

but also:

you even have that scene where he specifically drags Tanner back to Blaine's office in hopes of ganging up on the poor guy

also I'm going to argue that this scene - also an example of this dynamic between them

I don't really have a conclusion to any of this other than -

but also you get scene like the one where they're torturing Gabriel for the utopium recipe where he's clearly having a good time but also is visibly wincing everytime they beat Gabriel -

#I hit the maximum number of images I can add which sucks because I wanted to get into the episode where Major and Don E kidnap Sloane #I also went back to check out the episode where Bader gets mauled and Don E looks horrified then too (it stands out because for once -#so does Blaine)#izombie #don e #blaine debeers #fandom #long post #I hope they're gnawing on each other's heart in that well #there is also the episode in season 3 where he comes to Shady Plots to boast to Blaine about teaming up with Angus and ruining his business #but despite apparently being down with killing Blaine (actually he kind of has to bc we know he expects Blaine to kill him for this and #well...that's pretty realistic) - Don E doesn't actually stay for the deed.#There is also the fact that Don E has a pretty low body count in comparision and he just...looks very impassive when shooting Big Fish #but not nonchalant in the way Blaine often is #remember when Don E captured Major and put a giant red bow around the body bag before delivering him to Blaine to be tortured #fun times

#this time it's a music generator called Suno #like. they CLAIM it's not trained on copyright materials but they also refuse to disclose what they train their models ON #not to mention they're WAY too nonchalant about the issue of getting sued by record companies over stolen material #going as far as to talk a lot about how they all went into it knowing the companies could sue #but that still doesn't reveal your training model. reveal the fucking model.#like here's the deal. I hate genAI so much because EVERYTHING folks use are trained entirely on stolen and/or private record shit #if you train your own damn model to replicate your art style? fuck yeah you do you because it's ethically trained #but the shit of scavenging everything it can find off the web is what every single popular generator does and that's why I hate them #unethical. stolen. many times illegal confidental documents.#anyway I had to rant because it's hard to pretend to be nice and encouraging when he shows me this stuff because he ONLY comes to me #and even then he almost never does so I tolerate it for him because I wanna encourage him to keep creating when he does do his own stuff #he's genuinely so fucking talented at making music so this hurts my fucking heart
