oh. bad told - i dont remember who. Bagi or tina. one of the wlw he tells everything to. he told them that he feels like the only one who can protect the eggs.

bad thinks he’s the only one who will save the eggs, who will do whatever it takes to get them back. thus, the only one who can get them back. it’s no wonder he doesn’t care about making allies in purgatory- he didn’t think he could ask for help before. why would he think that now?

You know, in general I feel like Sanderson does a great job of thinking through his world building and making logical choices, and trying to rationally explain why the really cool stuff exists (like Shardblades being the stock Big Improbable Fantasy Swords but there actually being a reason why they're like that), but the one thing I'm calling bull on is the chickens. I think he just did that because he wanted his characters to be comedically unfamiliar with chickens. You're telling me humanity decided to take pigs into every settlement on this horrible barren storm world, but not chickens? Pigs, which are a. Smart and b. Onery and which would require fences made of stone to keep them from running away, heavy and durable enough not to blow away in the winds, vs. chickens, which are a. Small, and b. Easy To Care For, which can be taught to return to their roost after free-ranging everywhere and eating every tiny cremling and bit of plant life they can find? Yeah I don't buy that. He knew the characters needed leather and he thought the chicken thing was funny. And you know what? He's right. He can have this one. But just this once.

honestly considering Ikuto is going to be in Europe for the most part in Jewel Joker, I'm totally okay with there not being any romance between Amu and Ikuto in the manga. I think it's pretty obvious that Amuto is endgame and while they'll allude to it, I wouldn't be surprised if they don't give it a ton of focus because it'll be about Amu maturing while in middle school.

Hunter notices Amity is really distressed about that new kid Odalia somehow has, so he eventually suggests kidnapping because Odalia sucks as a parent and why not? Amity is still in her bloodline deduction state of mind so she blurts out that people will then make the awful mistake of assuming Grimwalker Alador is THEIR child, which is the wrong thing to say because for Hunter that's hilarious and even more reason to go kidnap him.

i love the shitpost horror-comedy universe where lumiter just keep acquiring grimwalker babies that look like them. in increasingly stupid & ill-conceived ways. between luzwalker and aladorwalker anyone who knows the three of them is like damn hunter why does the universe let you have unprotected sex with Two girlfriends. while hunter is out here like. ok. i have literally never even Attempted to touch either of these women in my life. and have no idea What The Actual Fuck is going on. however i Will commit to the bit if prompted.

I do have a feeling if Chayanne does die because no admin could play him and get tasks done he won’t actually like die. He probs be canonically kidnapped by the federation or the codes for a time. I have solid faith in the admins not punishing a dude who was THERE but the admins couldn’t make it happen. It could be a event that again literally drags mr against heavy lore who just wants cottagecore times with his kids back into main lore. Like full on rescue mission to save chayanne with actual consequences if they fail (aka chayanne full on dies) the fact is I have faith.

Also banning waystones is fucking stupid anyway 😭 thats like one the easiest ways to get the eggs out of danger, it lets people explore thousands of blocks away, or (like q charlie) have homes far away from everyone else.

It was the ninth, or maybe tenth, time that Pac had heard those words in the last hour. He had his samples of concrete spread out across the road of the Favela, and continued to ignore Cellbit's frustrated pleadings.

What was Cellbit going to do? Eat him?

They'd already been through that before.

Perhaps Pac had finally driven Cellbit too far, as there was a frustrated noise. Rather than hear a knife being drawn, however, all Pac heard was a warpstone.

Which. Fine. Now, magenta or blue for the next house...

He had already built in green and yellow, Richarlyson's favourites, and his son loved all the other colours just as much.

Magenta, then, for-

Pac did not finish that thought, except to consider that it might be nice to let the eggs decorate the interiors when they returned; Pac had simply blocked up the small rooms, far from being in the mood for fine detail work. Even just thinking about his attempts at a clothes line were enough to make him frustrated all over again.

He should plant some flowers along the roadside, though. Richarlyson would like that - and Mike would smile at him for it, and-

It was hard to know if he should think of them, or not at all. Rather than think on that, either, he grabbed the magenta concrete, and got to work.

In building, there was no thought. Or, there was a lot of thought, but much of that was also instinct. There was just enough thought that he could not think about anything else, but not so much that he became tired of the act of thinking itself.

Pac's fingers hurt, but he ignored them, grasping his pickaxe to pull down a few blocks and move them a little to the left.

He might not know who he was without Richarlyson, and he certainly did not know what he was without Mike, but he could make something beautiful for them - he could prove that even if he was nothing without them, he had something to bring to them both.

It did not take long to finish the outline of the magenta house, practiced as Pac was. A few more blocks here, a few there...

Deep down, he knew that his placements were at best erratic, but he did not really know what else to do.

Perhaps if he started from the other side instead...

"Pac?"

Not Cellbit. Or - at Fit's voice Pac looked up, and Cellbit was there, but he had left Fit to do the talking.

"Fit?" Pac's eyes struggled to focus a little. "Why are you awake?"

"I could ask the same of you, my friend."

One minute Fit was across the road, and the next he was holding Pac's hands.

Which one of them was shaking? Pac did not know.

"Cellbit got me up, he was worried about you," Fit explained. "What's wrong?"

Pac glanced at Cellbit.

"I'm going home," he told them both. "Fit, he's your problem now."

Pac did not like being a problem, but he supposed he was. Usually he was merely Mike's problem, but...

"Everything," Pac finally answered Fit as Cellbit vanished in purple sparks.

"Here."

Fit opened his arms for a hug, and Pac fell into them.

"I can't stop," it did not take Pac more than moments to crack. "As soon as I stop building, I think about them. And I cannot think about them without wanting to shove my pickaxe through my skull, so I don't stop building."

The hug tightened around him, and Fit's fingers curled into his shoulder.

"I get it," Fit said. "But you need to sleep."

"How can I sleep when all I see in my dreams is them dead?"

Pac hated himself for knowing that dead was not even the worst of it - sometimes he dreamt the pair left willingly and of their own volition, that they had finally realised that Pac was /nothing/ and decided they were better off together. That, for all he could make, Pac had failed to make enough of a mimicry of a self to fool either his best friend or his son.

"I know how you feel," Fit could try and make his voice quiet, but it always carried deep and deeper into Pac's bones. "My sweet baby boy..."

And Pac knew, of course he knew, because every parent on the island was experiencing the same - Fit was even avoiding thoughts in the same way, hollowing out the desert and helping Tubbo with the new library and-

Well. They were failing to cope very, very much the same.

"Would you come back to mine?" Fit asked. "There's reason Cellbit could get me up - maybe some company would help me sleep?"

Pac knew that Fit slept with nobody nearby as a point of paranoia. Pac knew that this was not at all for Fit's benefit. Pac knew-

"Please? It would really help me."

Pac caved with a nod, abandoning the concrete to the road and to another day.

JUST found out that it’s nana from +anima’s birthday today ??? on the SAME DAY as mine own !!??! i’m. sort of deceased.

and i doubt anyone that will see this cares about that, BUT !!!! +anima is SO core to me, and sharing a birthday with my favourite most wonderful girl in the whole world ?? an honour. a pleasure, a privilege. a cause for celebration. so here are some semi-sketches i did back in may when i reread the series for the first time in five years <3

a lil bonus for if you read this far, one of my oldest pieces of digital art from (i believe) 2018; my +anima oc !!! i kind of adore looking at very old art and remembering how i felt at the time and my thought process as i drew. except with this, i remember nothing of the story or other characters i came up with, other than that it was needlessly angsty and sad and someone died (to be fair to me, i hadn’t yet turned 14 lol).

(and just as a bonus bonus, my complete +anima collection!! my beloved nostalgia series, i wouldn’t be the same without you. 13 year old me is WAILING knowing that we own the series now !!)

16. What kinds of people do they have arguments with in their head?

okay i truly think scotch argues with seraph in his head all the time. ALL the time. scotch largely ignores them, and vice versa, because he dislikes them and they know it. seraph is very conflict avoidant lol, and as long as hes not a "threat" they dont care to talk to him about their problems. he probably argues with atlas and jacob (his older brother) too, atlas about more stupid small stuff, and jacob about childhood and life stuff :p

im trying to think of more general groups he would argue with but i cant come up with anything BAHAH. hes not exactly conflict avoidant in the annoying libra way that seraph is, he more just ignores conflict for his friends’ (mostly atlas’) sake. idk if that makes sense LOL

35. What is the smallest, morally questionable choice they’ve made?

hmmm.. smallest? i mean scotch strings eloise along for most of the time pre timeskip. its not a main focus but its definitely important in order to understand scotch as a whole. she and scotch go out for a while, and mid way through that he realizes hes GAY gay. lol. and obviously lying to her about that is pretty questionable after a while. especially since he and atlas have been 👉👌 like the whole time. but she kind of knows. well

something a little bigger would be him encouraging or otherwise turning a blind eye to all the weird stuff atlas is up to. he doesn't know what it's like to be a werewolf, he can't say anything, right? lol.... murder is okay if its a talking dog doing it. scotch enabler supreme. actually when seraph is introduced, he and atlas have a 'joke' (kind of starts being real) about luring seraph somewhere to kill them. obviously doesnt happen and gets abandoned. but i think its important to know about their dynamic LOL

51. What’s a phrase they say a lot?

this guy is kind of goofy. i cant think of phrases rn but he has a specific way of speaking.. you could watch pretty much any old pop punk band interview and kind of get the idea. HAHAH

1. What’s the lie your character says most often?

atlas is a big fan of saying 'its fine' for all situations ever. family in mortal danger? its fine. completely splitting? its fine. arthritis excruciating? its fine. hes one of those people that dont like to deal with the fawning of others unless hes feeling real special. Ends up putting people in more danger a lot of the time. i think eloise is the only fan of communication in this friend group to be honest. i should have made her the main character

he tends to make promises he cant keep as well, but thats more general..

6. What’s their favorite [insert anything] that they’ve never recommended to anyone before?

i have NO idea. i feel like atlas would be a music snob, so maybe his favorite 'super underground' bands. otherwise he'd probably never recommend raw human meat to another human (no matter how much scotch asks -__-).. (he would chicken out anyway)

55. What’s something they’re expected to enjoy based on their hobbies / profession that they actually dislike / hate?

um. so atlas hates working out. he especially hates running, you know, the thing that wolves are known for doing a lot of? unfortunately the lycanthropy came with a side effect of pretty bad arthritis, so that doesnt exactly encourage him. he DOES exercise, a lot since hes pretty much required for his ermm "side job", but he hates it 😸 besides the arthritis it’s mostly because I think it’s silly that he hates it. yay
