To have a healthy mind, body, soul you must incorporate various types of exercises at least 5 days a week! Such as; plyometrics, HIIT workouts, yoga, weights, cardio, sports specific training and physical leisure sports/activities! And you must eat nutrient dense food daily! Such as; non GMO, whole-not processed, organic and fresh foods! And you must incorporate 1-2 various types of self-care therapies/interventions a week! Taking care of yourself is not just about your physical health. Mental health is just as important. But many times, it’s neglected.
Here are some simple things you can do to improve your mental health.
1. Acknowledge problems and talk about them.
2. Be physically active
3. Eat well by including fruits and vegetables every day.
4. Minimize alcohol intake.
5. Be social.
6. Don’t hesitate to ask for help.
7. Rest and get plenty of sleep.
8. Take on a hobby or do something you’re good at.
9. Manage stress.
10. Be spiritual through prayers or meditation.
There is no quick fix to anxiety, depression and other common mental health issues that many of us deal with but simple practices can make a big difference.
