Hi, just wondering if you've ever written anything cherrisnake related? If not, I'd love to see something like that in the future. Also, I absolutely adore your work! Thanks for the good reads!
Hi, eye-scream-in-pain!
I've never really written anything for cherrisnake. Not that I don't like.either character. I just haven't felt like I could get their characters right. At least for Pentious. As for the ship, I kind of feel like it was one-sided, so it's not my favorite ship. But let's see what I can do for ya!
*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*
Cherri: Alright, so this new antenna should let me send texts up to Heaven?
Vox: Uh-huh. Yup. Gimme the cash.
Cherri: Ugh! Fine, but if this doesn't work, I'm coming for your ass.
Vox: Thank you! Have fun! (trots away to spy on Alastor from the Hotel ground floor windows)
Cherri: Alright, antenna is in, contact is selected, aaaaaaaand- (snaps a picture) Perfect! Send!
-In Heaven-
Sir Pentious: (teary eyed and mumbling pathetically in his bed) I miss my eggies.... and Ms. Cherri Bomb.... *sniff* (wails) Oh, how could I have been so pathetic?! A woman with that level of independence, that fire, that sheer tenacious ferocity! She'd never be interested in a man of engineering such as myself!
Phone: DING!!!
Sir Pentious: What's this? (opens messenger and gasps) Cherri Bomb?! Squeeeeee!!! She remembers me!!! Oh! There's an attachment. What could this- GOOD GRAVEY!!!! (instant bloody nose and falls over with a heart attack)
Phone: (falls to the floor and screen cracks -damn cheap Heaven manufacturing- revealing a picture of Cherri Bomb's bare ankle and foot)
Emily: (enters the room in a hurry) Pen, are you alright? I heard yelling! (sees the phone screen) How'd you get a text from Hell?!

Here's my apocalyptic take on the beat generation. It's a cover of an old Rod McKuen song; I've changed the lyrics a little. I'm still working my way through the Ableton tutorials, so it might sound halfway professional someday—not today, though.
I like this one a lot. Lyrics, and a link to the original, below the cut.
I looked over the mountain
and saw a lamb insane
With seven eyes and seven horns and tongues of writhing flame
The same old ancient story
The same old ancient song
The central holy fact is that the weak should fear the strong
Come alive in the regeneration
brand new body and a troubled new mind
Come alive in the regeneration, and everything is gonna be fine!
I cannot hear the music
I cannot stand the smell
As little baby's little souls fall screaming down to hell
It does not have a moral
It's never ever fair
When babies cry forevermore while angels darn the air
Come apart in the degeneration
soul on fire with a troubled new mind
Come apart in the degeneration, and everything is gonna be fine!
a crowd came to the mountain
it seemed to be the place
they saw a stranger standing there, a mask upon his face
The softness of a serpent
The wisdom of a dove
enthralled with holy terror at this great unholy love
And people fall like pebbles
And people rise like smoke
forever up to heaven like some great eternal joke
The punchline leaves you gasping
The rhythm's out of joint
With God of this you can be sure the cruelty's the point
Come alive in the regeneration
brand new body and a troubled new mind
Come alive in the regeneration, and everything is gonna be fine!
You wonder what the game is
it can't be just for fun
As angels build a castle in the center of the sun
A million stores deep
A million stories tall
And that's about the only thing they really dig at all
Burn in hell, call it heat generation
brand new body and a troubled new mind
Join the band, call it beat generation, and try to hit the right note on time…
Come alive in the regeneration
brand new body and a troubled new mind
Come alive in the regeneration, and everything's gonna be fine!
Original song: "The Beat Generation" by Bob McFadden and Dor (Rod McKuen--Dor is "Rod" spelled backwards)

I had a dream that I went to heaven and heaven had its own heaven-exclusive tv shows that were written and produced there in heaven and they showed me the most popular show in heaven and it was this really beautiful drama and, at the end of the episode, the credits said “Created by Mike Ehrmantraut” and they were like “oh yeah. fictional characters who die in earth media go to real heaven” and I’m like “sure but mike did some pretty fucked up stuff, wouldn’t he go to hell?” and they’re like “no, all the fucked up things he did were fictional. people only get judged for the real things they do and the only thing mike really did was bring joy to millions of viewers” and i think that’s beautiful

I think I figured out what makes a soul go to either Heaven or Hell!!
In the latest episode Welcome to Heaven, we see a moment during the trial where Charlie asks Adam what he thinks it takes to get into Heaven. And he doesn’t actually seem to know. He makes a list of what he thinks got him there, but when provided evidence of a demon doing the same thing, defaults you “then why isn’t he here?”.
We realize that NONE of Heaven actually knows what gets someone to Heaven, and the characters acknowledge that angels are free to be as sinful as they want, but they still get to stay.
Which got me thinking, yeah, how did Adam get into Heaven? He’s awful. Then it hit me: he’s there because he thinks he deserves to be. Think of the demons we know. Alastor, Angel, Husker, Cherri, Valentino. These are all people who have done wrong and they know it. If you were to ask them, I think they’d tell you they deserve to be in Hell.
Isn’t it strange? That we’ve never met a demon who thinks there’s been some mistake? That they deserve to be in Heaven and they shouldn’t be in Hell? Hell should be chock full of people like that, but it isn’t.
I think it’s because if you think you deserve to be in Heaven, that’s where you go. And if you think you deserve to go to Hell? That’s where you stay. It explains why Adam is an angel-despite being a horrible person, he’s completely self righteous, even saying “I’ve never made a mistake in my fucking life.” Of course he’d think he deserves to go to Heaven! It’s how Molly went to Heaven and Angel went to hell, despite them leading similar lives-she thought she should go there.
If this is the case, then all the good deeds in the world won’t redeem a sinner. The only thing that will is repairing them and their mental state enough that they truly feel they deserve better. And I’d be fascinated to see how that goes!

Heaven: Wow, Aziraphale, I am impressed. It's a miracle how your Absolute Worst Enemy, the demon Crowley, has not noticed you for 6000 years.
Hell: so do you guys fuck or what

In S2 we got to see Crowley before everything that happened to him
and Gabriel after everything that happened to him was put away in a container
What does this show us?
How the systems hurt them both?
That both, angels and demons could be much happier if they weren't bound to their weird, horrible, damaging, bullying homes/workplaces?
And how did Azi know there were certain things in place by then that better be not mentioned/poked.
What happened to the baby angel that he was a cautious, anxious little ball of fluff already?
