All of them very capable and impressing as well when you watch the show (Mako was a pretty talented firebender who could bend lightning even when he was being bloodbent, Bolin is another amazing earthbender who can even lavabend and Asami is a capable fighter and incredibly smart, besides being CEO of the most important company in the world). But. Lmao. They all were simping for her.

And then there's Kyoshi's companions which included her girlfriend, her parents' criminal gang and her own mother in law between others.

My favourite bit in The Shadow of Kyoshi is where Rangi gets properly mad at Kyoshi, tells her that from now on Rangi is nothing to her and storms out, leaving Kyoshi to stutter and cry in shock and then Hei-Ran tells her that Rangi will forgive her, that it usually takes about a week when the two of them have a fight like that, and within maybe 10 minutes Rangi is already back with noodles for Kyoshi

Headcanon that Kyoshi once accidentally called Hei-Ran mom and after an awkward moment of silence Kyoshi spoke up and said "I mean I'm dating your daughter so mother in law?" and Hei-Ran then responding "mother in law"

the two of them never bring it up again
