COVID cost me a week of work. Bills still exist.

Unfortunately, after 3.5 years, COVID finally sunk its teeth into me. Thankfully it wasn't TOO bad, but it has cost me a week of work, maybe more depending on when I start testing negative and can go back in. I recently started going back to college for a new degree, so I was already working less than normal, which means losing even just the single week will MASSIVELY impact my ability to pay my bills. I'm single and live alone, so there's no one around to help pick up the slack a bit. I'm also maxed out on hours at work and because it's a student job, there's a lot of weird rules around hours and such that mean I can't even try and make up my missing hours at all in the coming weeks. So I'm doing this little fundraiser to hopefully make up for the missed work, and pay for some additional little expenses being sick incurred such as food deliveries and various odd "I'm sick and miserable" supplies.

A GFM update...

Heya! I am so never sure of just what to write on these kind of updates, aside from the obvious bits, so let's cover those-

First off, a HUGE thank you to everyone who's donated so far. Seriously. It means so much. And thanks to all of you, hey, I'm at 1/10th down already, with almost nine months left to go. hopefully we can get there.

And yeah, the second part- I'm only a tenth of the way there so far, and need help still to make sure everything's covered. And I'm not about to do the thing of asking folks who've already donated to throw in more. But if you can spread word about this gfm wherever you can, I would so appreciate it. My situations just became significantly worse. I got a call confirming my reservation for the car rental where I learned some news that basically ruined the entire plan I had. I am supposed to pick the car up on Wednesday.

Basically, since my license is out of state, I would need to use a credit card and not a debit card. I don't have a credit card. Since I am supposed to pick the car up on Wednesday, this is truly a last minute stab in the kidney.

The only other option would be to make the expensive change of putting it in my roommate's name and adding me as an extra driver, then changing the payment situation when I get to Colorado. Even that is banking on her having a Minnesota license.
