Showing the true horrors of mixing spellcasting and lycanthropy. Hemomancy and blood magic is by far my favorite fantasy genre but I feel like most of the Bloodhunter art I’ve seen is way too clean. Blood magic to me should be gross with horrible unknowable side effects.

There’s a lot more hemomancy Bloodhunter exploration in my sketchbook, so stay tuned.

Blood magic is fucking horny

You're gonna tear up your skin and spill blood just for me? At a magic tournament of the fucking college infront of everyone? Complete and utter whore behavior

Disappointing fact, a human hemomancer using their own blood would only be able to use like, 2.4 liters without falling unconscious

Which is about one and a fourth of those big soda bottles

Humans have about five liters of blood, and if you lose about fifty percent of your blood you fall unconscious

So only about 2.4 liters are usable for hemomancy

That's assuming the bare minimum of not falling unconscious

Realisticly you can only use 15-30 percent of your blood

So that's about half a gallon of blood that's usable while the person is still mostly functional (edited)

However they'll feel weak

You can only use like, half of a liter while being completely unaffected

So all in all hemomancy is not super practical unless you find other sources of blood

You know what's crazy about Zaun? It's so deep in the ground and covered by smog the natural light doesn't reach most parts of it that they need to rely on artificial light to see. Zaun is such perfect territory for a vampire coven, it even has that danger mystique that makes people want to go down out of morbid curiosity. Instead, League wanted a werewolf aesthetic and by God they made it happen, even though no one can see the moon so they miss out on full moon imagery.

I have uhhhh a new Skyrim OC again. Probably the strongest mage I’ve ever made (I love Severin but he’s a lickle necromancer and everything he summons kills the enemies for him. He persuaded Ancano not to be a dick… this guy would wipe the floor with him). His name is Gwalchmai, an altmer mage specialising in everything EXCEPT conjuration. He doesn’t like conjuring things to do all the work for him. He likes being creative, the fucken psychopath.

He gets on extremely well with Taliesin (maybe a bit too well if you catch my drift) and for some reason he also enjoys Lucien’s company (although Lucien refers to him as ‘Bran’ because Gwalchmai told him to - Gwalchmai witnessed Lucien pronounce his name once with the kiki ‘ch’ instead of the bouba ‘ch’ and was mortified). He lives in Morthal, has a slightly more than friendly rivalry with Sybille Stentor 🥴 and plays court wizard to Jarl Idgrod Ravencrone, because who better to keep the vampires in check in Morthal than another territorial vampire with the spellcasting equivalent of nukes for hands?

Gwalchmai wants Taliesin almost as much as Lucien wants Gwalchmai. He also has a horse named Annwn.

His context? He came to Skyrim as a follower of Julianos, seeking to learn more about his deity by living in the rectory in the temple of the divines. He soon fucked around and found out with Sybille Stentor, however, and hopped out of Solitude and into Morthal - out of her territory - to become Court Wizard to Idgrod. He worries he’s stepped on Falion’s toes, but Falion doesn’t give a fuck; at least with Gwalchmai as the Court Wizard now, the townsfolk don’t hound him as much.

Out of the frying pan and into the fire, though, because now Gwalchmai has to assert himself over Movarth Piquine, and unlike Alva, I don’t think he’s going to be able to fuck his way out of this one.

Feeling the presence of another, Akio's nose crinkled slightly at the rather strange smell of blood. Part of him hated his minor magic sense but nevertheless, Akio moved his hands up in a mock surrender gesture. "Easy there partner, Birdie is strong to care for himself. I just make sure to get the attention off of him when we fight together. So he is in good hands."

Something about this person was familiar, the smell of blood magic was there, but he couldn't pinpoint it yet. And he knew better than to ask.
