Puzzling through the Murmuring Hollow Relic Ruin, I could not stop grinning the entire time. I forgot how much fun Gildun is, and hearing the delight in Aloy's voice at the recognition of his voice was just so sweet and I really miss that side of her.
All of the Relic Ruins located in Forbidden West are based off of real locations. This one here is based off of Zion Lodge, which is located in Utah. In game though, it’s located in The Daunt, and serves as the introduction to Relic Ruins, and is often the very first one players will stumble upon. It’s located in the middle of the region, just slightly off center, leaning to the east of the map.
#do you ever think about how if aloy had actually been raised within the tribe she probably would have never gotten in to see this message

so i just did this relic ruin, which the datapoint you find tells us is a church
and then i noticed the car park right next to it seems kinda full for the end of the world
then i realised probably as the world was ending, of course lots of people would flee to a place of worship, it was literally the apocalypse after all. and i kinda made myself sad
just a little touch/detail but the image of people huddled together in a place of worship as the world crumbles around them just got me
