Okay, so hear me out; an Au where everything is the same except Mic is only a foot tall.
Think about it; imagine a foot tall Mic with his extremely powerful quirk, yelling everywhere. And as a bonus he could ride on Aizawa’s shoulder everywhere. (Till Aizawa gets annoyed, then he gets shoved in a pocket.) Plus, Midnight treating him like a doll when she wants to tease him. Am I the only one who thinks this could be fun?

Hi! I was wondering if you can do a platonic Aizawa Shouta + daughter!reader headcanons? Like can it just be like fluffy family stuff and being basically a daughter figure to all his colleagues m? (Also can reader be in class 1-a and can reader have a shadow quirk?)
Tumblr media
Of course of course! I hope you enjoy<3
Tumblr media
• I'm not gonna lie bro picked you up off the streets like a stray cat and got too emotionally attached to you to not adopt you.
• This man takes making time for you VERY seriously. Homie is always trying for family dinners every night. Which sometimes includes Present Mic and Shinsou (you don't really know how he started getting included in these but you and him have become like siblings so it doesn't bother you)
• You want to go into the hero course at U.A.? Have fun at the entrance exam cause that man isn't helping you get in on recommendations. You gotta do that shit on your own ⁉️
• You don't want to be a hero? Great! He's sending you to the best highschool he can for whatever you want to do in the future.
• He absolutely teaches you how to use and control your quirk as soon as you get it.
• Say you do get into U.A. and end up in his class. You're already besties with all your teachers as you grew up around them when Aizawa couldn't get anyone to watch you and would have to bring you to U.A. with him.
• Midnight is practically your mother
• When the rest of your class finds out you're his daughter they're shocked. Cause the two of you are polar opposites.
• Even though your quirk is so dark you have such a bright and bubbly personality they have a hard time figuring out how the fuck your related to Aizawa.
• The rest of your class sees how you interact with your teachers and they're just like "how tf is this fair?"
• Your dad doesn't even try and hide the favoritism, you always yell at him for it tho

Confession
(AIZAWA X READER) (FLUFF!) (Please send requests!!)
You walked through the halls of UA. “Wow, there are so many new facilities, way more upgrades compared to when I was attending,” you smiled as you followed Principal Nezu. “That’s correct, we’ve always tried to provide the best education and training to our students. I’m sure you remember,” he smiled as he continued to lead you to his office. “Yep, I really missed this place. America was nice, but I really missed Japan,” you smiled. “I see, well if you’re free I’d love to discuss your time in America over a cup of tea,” he said as he opened his office door. “That’s fine,” you nodded.
That was the idea, but… it quickly turned into one of Principal Nezu’s famous lectures. ‘Why am I receiving a lecture on my first day back?’ you asked yourself. The lecture was cut off by a knock on the door. “Yes?” Nezu asked. The door slowly opened, your eyes slightly widened. Across from you was Aizawa, “Oh hello Eraserhead, are those the files I asked you to prepare? Thank you for your hard work, you can place them on my desk,” Nezu said as he placed his cup of tea down. “Understood,” he nodded.
“I’m sorry for interrupting your meeting,” he bowed slightly before placing the files on the desk. “Oh it’s no trouble, it is getting quite late isn’t it?” He asked you, and you nodded enthusiastically. Anything to get out of his lecture… “Oh, may I ask for another favor, Eraser?” Nezu asked. “Yes sir?” Aizawa replied. “Would you mind giving our new instructor a quick tour of the school?” He asked. “... Yes sir,” he hesitated. “Fantastic! Well I will send your new schedule before I leave the office today, thank you for your help,” Nezu shook your hand.
You nodded and followed Aizawa out into the hallway. “What a bother…” you heard him mumble. “Jeez, is that any way to greet an old classmate?” you smiled softly. “Mmm… well follow me,” he said grumpily and began guiding you through the new facilities.
“Wow there’s so many new training grounds! How exciting!” you grinned. You glanced over to Aizawa who seemed bothered to still be guiding you. “Eraser, how about we end this tour early today?” you asked. “Huh?” he asked. “Well, not to be mean, but that scowl hasn’t left your face this entire tour. And it’s sort of leaving a sour taste in my mouth,” you joked. “Hmm… well if you really want to then so be it, but before you go let’s go to one last spot,” he said softly as he guided you towards the rooftop.
You ran out onto the roof, “I knew you were bringing me here! It’s been so long!” You smiled as you ran towards the railings. “Be careful,” he yawned. “I know, I know! Remember how many times we would sneak up here?” You laughed. “Yeah, I also remember the amount of times we had to throw Mic under the bus because he was always the reason we were caught,” he replied. “Oh wow I totally forgot! Is he here? I’d love to see him!” you smiled excitedly. “You’ll be able to see him on Monday,” he responded. “Really? How nice,” you smiled.
The three of you were pretty close throughout highschool, but… things ended awkwardly… “But… why did you bring me here? Don’t you remember what happened up here? Doesn’t being up here give you uncomfortable memories?” You asked. Thinking back to that one day.
Flashback
“Hey Aizawa! Aizawa!” you knocked on his desk, trying to wake him up. “I’m up…” he yawned as he slowly picked his head up. “Well it doesn’t seem like it, come on, you’re supposed to help clean…” you groaned as you continued placing chairs on the desks. “I’m helping,” he stifled a yawn before standing up and placing his seat onto his desk. It was a comfortable silence in the classroom before you decided to break it. “Hey, before we head home… would you mind accompanying me onto the roof?” you asked nervously. “Yeah sure,” he replied. “Really? Ok!” you said excitedly.
After cleaning you both snuck up to the roof. You ran towards the railing. “Be careful,” he yawned. “I know, I know! Look, isn’t it so pretty today? Look at that sunset!” You grinned as you pointed towards the light orange sky. “It’s just a regular sunset,” he shrugged. “And you’re just a piece of sandpaper,” you rolled your eyes. “Whatever,” he replied. “Is that the only reason why you wanted to come up here? To see the sunset?” He asked. “W-Well… you know how we’re graduating in 2 months?” You asked. “Yeah, and?” He asked. “Well… I don’t want to leave this place regretting anything. I- There’s something I wanted to tell you before we both leave and pursue our dreams,” you said determinedly. “You mean before you head to America for that job offer?” he asked. “I still haven’t accepted that, I’m still thinking about it… but forget about that! Just… just let me worry about right now,” you said nervously as you turned to face him.
“Ok?” He asked, confused. “Aizawa… I’ve recently- no I’ve known for a while that… well… I- I…” you stammered over your words. “What are you trying to say?” Aizawa asked. “I… Aizawa I’ve developed feelings for you, a-and I would like us t-to get to know each other more c-closely,” you said as you stared at the ground, afraid of his reaction towards your confession. “H-Huh?” He asked. “Please don’t make me repeat myself…” you felt your ears burn. I-I see… well… I’m sorry…” he trailed off. You clutched onto the hem of your blazer. “It’s f-fine! I get it!” You blurted out. “It’s just that…” he trailed off. “I said it’s fine! Don’t worry about me! Oh would you look at the time, I gotta go before I miss the last train!” you said as you grabbed your bag and raced towards the door. “(Y/N)! Wait!” You heard, but continued racing towards the stairs.
After that day it became difficult and awkward to be around him. So you slowly separate yourself from your 2 friends. As well as accepting your offer in America.
End of Flashback
You waited for Aizawa’s reply, but he only stared back. “Well, I don’t know why you brought me here, but I’m glad you did. I always saw the best sunsets up here…” you smiled as you glanced towards the sky. “But I’ve never found a more beautiful sunset compared to that one day,” you laughed as you turned towards Aizawa. Noticing he stepped closer towards you.
“Not planning to push me off the roof are you?” You laughed. “What?” He let out a surprised chuckle. “Well you’re not saying anything, is this you getting revenge for making things awkward?” You joked. “No,” he shook his head. “Just thought it was a pretty sunset today,” He said softly. “It is,” you smiled. “And don’t worry Aiza- I mean Eraserhead, I’ll make sure to always keep things professional between us. Don’t worry about the past,” you said. “Well… there’s something I have to tell you,” he replied. “Don’t tell me you already reported me to HR,” you laughed. “Jeez… you’re still the same old jokester aren’t you?” He asked as he scratched the back of his head. “Guilty,” you smiled as you leaned against the railing.
“Anyways… there was something important that I wanted to tell you,” he said softly. “Yes?” You asked. “Well…” He mumbled off as he slightly stiffened. “What was that? You mumbled off,” you replied as you cupped your ear. You noticed he took a few steps closer, you felt your smile tighten. A bit nervous from the close distance between you two. “Well, let me phrase this in a way you’ll understand me instantly,” he let out a deep breath. “I’ve developed feelings for you (Y/N), and I would like us to get to know each other more closely,” he said as he stared into your eyes. You immediately felt your ears burn, “W-What?” You asked as you tried to take a step back, but was met with the railing.
“...Please don’t make me repeat myself,” he said awkwardly. “That’s not funny, making fun of a young girl’s words,” you narrowed your eyes as you clutched onto the railing. “(Y/N), I’m serious,” he said as he took another step closer. “A-Aza- I mean Easer, stop messing with me…” you blushed as you leaned farther back onto the railing. “(Y/N),” he said softly. “I s-should go-” your eyes widened as you noticed yourself falling over the rails. “Crap!” you heard him shout. You were about to catch yourself, but was met with a scarf wrapping around you. Pulling you back onto the roof, you were then met with a sturdy chest. You stared at Aizawa as he slowly caught his breath from the sudden action.
“I thought I told you to be careful,” he said. “I-I know… I just…” you moved your eyes towards the ground. “(Y/N),” he called out as you felt a hand on your chin, causing you to face him. “I like you, I’ve always liked you…” he said. “B-But you…” you trailed off. “I did that, so you wouldn’t miss out on going to America. I’d kick myself if I were so selfish to make you stay here just because of me…” he explained. “You… rejected me so I wouldn’t refuse the offer?” You widen your eyes. “You always talked about traveling, and wanting to go meet more heroes outside of Japan. What were you going to do if I accepted your confession back then?” He asked. “I-I was planning to… to stay. I wanted to be with you…” you blushed. “You see, I didn’t want to be the reason why you didn’t complete one of your dreams,” he said softly.
“I-I’m sorry Aizawa, I just assumed…” you trailed off. “It’s fine, but what I said was true. Do you accept my confession?” He smiled softly. “Of course I do!” you grinned as you pounced on him. “You’re way too excited,” he chuckled softly. “Aren’t you?” You asked. “Yeah… I am,” he said as he stared back into your eyes. You bit your lip nervously, before closing the distance between you.
Thank goodness you accepted the offer from UA.

Aisles and Class 1A x Fem Quirkless reader platonic hcs who’s cold, reserved, but still polite and nice to others. She’s a strict badass who’s also street smart and masters a bunch of weapons like throwing knives, guns, pole arms, etc, to replace her lack of a Quirk. One of the top students as well as the scariest girl in class as she gives it her all in class, sending anyone who challenges her to the infirmary anytime they fought her. Unlike Izuku, who at least grew up with a parent’s love, she had nobody and had to survive on the streets and illegal underground rings, earning many nasty scars that she hides behind her bandages and clothing which she always covers up with stuff like scarfs, gloves, even if it’s super hot out. She craves any love but backs down due to heavy discrimination, bullying, etc. hcs?
(So I’m gonna assume that Aisles is Aizawa because I don’t recall a character with that name. Also I’m gonna make the reader similar to Illumi Zoldyck from HxH)
Aizawa & Class 1A x Quirkless Reader
Tumblr media
Growing up in the underground was harsh and brutal. In order to survive you had to be willing to do whatever it took
Whether it was stealing food, or fighting, you did anything that could increase the chances of your survival
Living on the streets, you grew up facing villains and thugs in the alleys, they would see you as an easy target so you had to learn to protect yourself
After years of fighting and being subjected to multiple quirks, you’ve built up a high resistance to physical pain. Not that you can’t feel pain, you just tolerate more of it better than others
You’ve learned various techniques and skills when it comes to fighting but you’re not just skilled with combat
Having no parents, you had to learn to cook for yourself and became somewhat skilled in the culinary arts
In order to make up for not having a quirk, you learned to wield every possible weapon and mastered the use of each
And in order to have money, you fought in illegal and legal underground fighting rings. These fights landed you plenty of scars to the point that you’re covered in them
You wear bandages and long clothing to hide the scars, however your choice of style can make you look suspicious
Due to growing up the way you did, you developed a rather cold and reserved personality but you maintained your manners and are very polite
You don’t really show a lot of emotion which can make people uncomfortable being around you, but you don’t really care
Originally, you weren’t going to go to highschool but you came across Aizawa one night when you were cornered by some thugs. He was about to step in when you seemingly appeared behind the thugs, then they all fell down unconscious. Aizawa thought you used a teleportation quirk. He understood that you were essentially homeless and had no family so he offered for you to stay with him for the night
As he began to understand your predicament, he was amazed at how quickly you picked up on things. You were incredibly smart and observant but that’s probably due to having lived on the streets
When Aizawa learned that you didn’t have a quirk he originally didn’t believe you. But after testing his quirk on you, he realized you were telling the truth
Aizawa actually gave you a recommendation to UA since he deeply believes that you would make a good hero
When you took the recommendation exam, you met Inasa who surprisingly quickly managed to worm his way past your walls and became your friend during the exam
After having passed the exam with flying colors you were given Inasa’s phone number since he learned you didn’t have a phone
Aizawa had later that day, bought you a phone for you to connect with the friends you would hopefully make
When school came around, Inasa had been coaching you on how to make friends, despite your cold personality you managed to befriend Izuku on the first day (more like he just didn’t have the balls to tell you you were scary)
You saw how Bakugou treated Izuku and you didn’t like how scared Izuku was so you decided to make an example out of Bakugou
During All Mights hero class, you were paired with Izuku and Uraraka. You followed Izuku and protected him from Bakugou. When Bakugou ignored All Might and used his stored up sweat, you decided that you had enough. You quickly went behind Bakugou and started to let loose on him, in the end, you accidentally sent him to recovery girl’s office since you didn’t know how to hold back
When Izuku saw this, he realized you weren’t that scary and you’re just not that good with social situations, he then took it upon himself to make you apart of the Dekusquad and you decided to keep hanging around him
Shoto and Momo have become some of your closer friends. Momo takes you shopping and loves to dress you up
Mineta, Koda and Aoyama are terrified of you. The girls all love that Mineta is too afraid to perv on you, so they use you as a shield to ward off Mineta
Kirishima and Ojiro are constantly asking you to spar with them as well as Bakugou. They don’t care that you can’t hold back most of your strength, the don’t care that sparring with you is a one way ticket to Recovery Girl, they admire your strength and they want to get stronger
When you’re relaxing, Shoto likes to hang around you since you both have the same cluelessness in the sense of social interactions
Although you have a hard time initiating affection, Aizawa makes sure you receive plenty of it whether it’s just a simple head pat or a small hug. Aizawa and Midoriya help you with learning how to express yourself since you’ve closed yourself off as a means to protect yourself

Girl let me just say your fics are superb and thanks for the quirkless child one I requested with Bakugou! I promise I’ll leave you be for a bit in a second, but… post final war; everyone who has came out alive clearly is suffering from injuries, health issues, and trauma (both physical trauma and mental trauma) no? So how about a Bakugou x Reader with a reader who was essentially Bubbly, Firery and Energetic, to after the war who is exhausted, is often having nightmares over Bakugou cause well he nearly died, sleep deprived and basically depressed because I can guarantee nobody should be sane after a war, especially not children like our lovely highschoolers. Please make it angst to comfort, because seeing how Bakugou also has developed I’m sure as sad as he would be he would also be understanding and try to be comforting (despite his awkwardness). I’d appreciate if you could get this done to be as close as possible (and maybe just a little long than the one I requested last time- no pressure) BUT if anything you find in my request may be too triggering or something feel free to make it less triggering and change it, I just ask if you can keep the same vibe and theme with the reader who changed drastically after the wars and is getting comforted by Bakugou, Angst to comfort (duh), thank you so much, and I hope I’m not troubling you too much! — An anon who enjoys suffering, angst, and comfort ((SAC) Anon); (get it? Suffering, Angst, Comfort, SAC, wait that has a good ring to it, damn I have a new alias, I’ll shut up now)

Tumblr media
Before the war, you were a different person. Looking at you now, no one would ever guess you were once a bubbly, out going person. But Katsuki knew you were, and sometimes, he missed the old you.
It was hard to watch you wake up crying in the middle of the night from your horrible nightmares of the war. Some being about his near death experience, and others being about him dying in other ways.
Some nights, you didn't sleep at all, and it was really showing.
"Hey, keep your head up. I don't want you to fall asleep." Katsuki said. It was already months after the war, so you were all back at school, but you were one of the few students that was struggling the most.
He definitely has his struggles too, but he knew he had to be there for you, because yours were much worse.
You opened your eyes wider, trying your best to stay awake. "Sorry. I couldn't sleep last night."
"You havin' nightmares again?"
You nodded, he sighed.
"Come sleep in my dorm tonight. You sleep better with me and you know it."
You agreed and continued trying your best to stay awake for the rest of the day. Occasionally, Katsuki would have to wake you up or remind you to stay awake. The lack of sleep made it hard to focus, especially in Hero Training. Thankfully, Mr. Aizawa and the rest of the teachers were understanding of the students who were struggling.
Once school was over it felt like a weight was lifted off of your shoulders. You knew you had homework to do, but right now you'd rather sleep. Or at least attempt to. Since you were going to be with Katsuki tonight, you were probably only going to have one nightmare. Plus, he'd be there to comfort you.
Following your boyfriend to his dorm room, you immediately changed into some of your clothes that he had there for you, and then laid down on his bed.
For a while, you just silently watched him as he sat at his desk and did his homework, something you should also be doing.
"What're you starin' at?"
You smiled, but not as brightly as before, "I'm just admiring you."
He huffed, "Good, I'm awesome."
Rolling your eyes, you said, "And there he is."
He laughed and continued doing his homework. You just continued watching him, because it was something that comforted you. It was a reminder that he was okay and alive.
Knowing he was safe right in front of you, you fell asleep.
...
You didn't know what time it was, but it must've been late since the room you were in was dark.
You clutched your chest as you sat up in bed and breathed heavily, feeling tears prick your eyes.
Of course, you had another nightmare again. This one in particular was about Katsuki, and he was in the arms of Shigaraki. You saw the villain use his Decay quirk on him, and your boyfriend began to crumble away but you were paralyzed in your dream. There was nothing you could do.
The nightmare felt so real and so scary, like they usually do. You felt so helpless and scared. The evil that emitted from Shigaraki and All For One was something you'd always remember.
You subconsciously began to rock yourself back and forth and made self soothing noises as you continued to have a panic attack. They never got easier, or less scary as time went on. It always felt like you were going to die.
Your panic must've woke Katsuki up, because you suddenly heard his voice calling out to you.
"Hey, hey! Breathe baby, you gotta breathe." He said.
You shook your head, "I-I can't! It hurts. I'm scared, I'm gonna die!"
He carefully grabbed your hands and held them in his. He took one of them and brought it to his chest near his heart so you could feel it beat.
"What is my heart doing right now?" He asked. This was a method he used to ground you during these situations, especially because he knew how you felt about him and his safety.
You looked at his chest, "Beating. Your heart is beating."
"Right. Now what do you feel here?" He asked, now placing a hand on the blanket that was on top of you guys.
"The blanket."
"What does it feel like?"
"It's soft and fluffy."
As he continued distracting you from your panic, you eventually calmed down. You were still crying a bit, but he held you in his arms as you let it out.
"He killed you Katsuki. I was so scared, and I couldn't do anything!" You cried into his chest.
He rubbed your back, "You know that shit isn't real, no matter how real it feels. I'm right here living and breathing. I'm safe, okay?"
You nodded and sniffed, "Okay." You placed a hand on his chest over his heart and felt it beat, the steady rhythm of it comforting you.
Katsuki grabbed that hand and kissed the palm of it, "Love you. I'll be here all night, 'kay?"
"I love you too. Thank you."
"It's no problem."
The next morning, you felt more rested than usual. It must've been because you only had one nightmare, which was an improvement.
You noticed you woke up before your boyfriend, so you just let him sleep a little longer while you got on with your morning routine. You had a lot of your own things in his room, including an extra toothbrush which you were thankful for.
When he eventually woke up, he walked over to you and hugged you tightly.
"You feelin' okay?" He asked.
You nodded as best as you could in his tight grip, "Mhm."
"Be honest."
"I am! I feel a lot better than last night." You insisted as you pulled away slightly, still keeping your arms around him.
He hummed and kissed the top of your head, "Mkay. Wanna sleep with me again tonight?"
"Yeah, I'll bring more clothes later."
He smiled, "'Kay. Let's go to class." He said and threw an arm over your shoulder, making you smile up at him.
Yeah, you knew things would be okay as long as he was around.

Man I wish your MHA prediction came true, cause, no spoilers, but the truth is so bad😂
atleast its finallly over... never reading a series when it hasnt finished serialisation again😂
It's not even a BAD manga ending... i have seen BAD manga endings before, i know how they look like.
No, what MHA's final chapter is, is a NOTHING Ending. An ending where it is so, PAINFULLY obvious that the Mangaka or his editor did not want to piss anyone off, or take risks in general, that for a whole host of characters, there is NO closure, or even worse, it negates what came before.
so, its not like there is nothing good about the chapter, as i like shoji's big declaration, and the fact that japans society is changing to help people deal with the quirks withouth having to become heroes... but other than that, even the stuff i liked had major caveats.
But by far the biggest issue is that there are so many characters who got NO closure for their respective relationships, and it is stupidly obvious why, and who.
and since this question was prompted by Aizawa and his development, lets start with mic and Aizawa.
Tumblr media
This picture right here encapsulates how Aizawa has changed. This is where he was always planned to end up. It is his natural end point compared to where he started off his story. Having turned into a much more caring man, who helped Aoyama rise above his flaws and change for the better rather than the brutal and spartan teacher he was at the start.
Or as his Ex Girlfriend would have put it has learned the value of "A household where the laughter never ends.".
However, the problem is we get no chapter, or even an ATTEMPT at giving him any form of closure where this change is encapsulated, the way we got with Endeavor, spinner, and Uraraka.
And thats a problem, because it wasnt ONLY hjis character who was tied to this hypotetical chapter for closure.
Tumblr media
The closure of the ENTIRE idiot trio from the previous generation, alive and dead was dependent upon whatever Hori had planned for this hypotetical epilogue chapter before he or his editor chickened out, leaving Kurogiri's death in the climax with NO sense of aftermath behind it, coming and going, and frankly feeling like an aftertought rather than the sad ending to the tragic tale of the man who died too soon.
It also leaves Mic the single worst off, because while Aizawa at the very least had his character development to fall back on as a final point, even if he didnt get a closure chapter or moment, Mic gets NOTHING.
and that's a big problem, because as im going to go over in my big analysis of the man, Mic's entire deal is that while Aizawa developed in a terrible, negative reaction to his buddy's death, Mic's reaction was to stop developing at all.
His entire life after the tragedy is being a background character in everyone else's life, the DJ who always tries to make everyones day brighter, but has no actual ambitions, dreams or goals of his own.
thats why he clings so desperately to his memories of highschool, because unlike everyone else from that time, those memories are all he has. Even Aizawa managed to have a girlfriend at some point, an actual relationship, that though it crashed and burned had meaning. Mic doesnt even have that.
He is the ultimate sad clown, who pretends to himself that he hasnt wasted his life, by embracing a role as a literal supporting character, that his teachers suggested he would turn out to be.
In other words, his role in a chapter dealing with the epilogue of the trio, would certainly have been to finally, actually begin living his own life again.
but withouth that, there is nothing to suggest he managed to change. he will just continue to waste his life, thinking he'll never be able to create great new times for himself, rather than actually living his life and making new, best moments of his life.
i might be more annoyed about Aizawa not getting that final closure with Miss Joke, but there is no questions that Mic got an even worse deal with the narrative than Aizawa.
He remained a background character to the very end.
he's not the only one though.
Tumblr media
You know who else never got closure? The Iida brothers.
We NEVER got to see how Tensei reacted to his brother not only taking up his mantle, but actually surpassing him and all his deeds during the climax.
Tenya's great ambition was to become a great hero to live up to his brother, and we didnt get to see any of his family members reaction to him actually achieving this dream.
As for other members of class 1-A...

Hey, quick question for anyone who read this story, Did you think Mina and Kirishima's character stories ended with these two, small, not given very much importance panels?
No?
Well fuck you, youre wrong! this is where both of their characters ends. their relationship, and their character arcs in general ended here, and they get no closure whatsoever.
and finally we move unto Izuku and the bigger problem with him and where he ended up.
Starting with him becoming a non powered hero, using tech.
Okay, not a BAD ending... But i feel like... maybe... there was a plan for something with that. Maybe... Maybe something that happened, and would have eased his character into using tech, rather than All Might just showing up with it after he's been a salary man for 3 years... Maybe something that was foreshadowed for years, and years.... Oh right.
Tumblr media
Izuku losing his lower arms.
Like, looking back, it is painfully clear that Izuku was originally meant to lose his arms for good, before the editor(as he did with bakugo's death) put the kibash on that.
I like the idea... but there was a much better and more logical road to him becoming Iron Man with him having to use robotic hands in the epilogue. it would also be the logical outcome of all that foreshadowing, and was probably the original idea before it was deemed too gruesome.
However, thats a missed what if.
And if you have read the final chapter, you know it's not the BIG issue with this chapter. The SINGLE biggest problem with this ending, that is going to haunt it forever afterwards.
Tumblr media
The complete sinking of Izuku x ochako by making it clear izuku has no regular contact with his former classmates, and ending the story withouth anything to suggest these two hooked up at all.
Now, im going to be very blunt, and very clear, before i tear this entire ship sinking to bits.
I didn't like Izuku x ochako.
At all.
I thought it was boring, too drawn out, and i didnt find much enjoyment as a ship from their interactions. in fact i would say i found izuku to have better chemistry with pretty much every other female character he ever interacted with.
Izuocha is the epitomy of a safe shonen battle couple. pure, boring vanilla.
I want to get that out of the way, before i really delve into why the way Hori just... torpedoed this ship because he didnt want to deal with the aftermath, was such a slap in the face.
Lets start with the most obvious problem.
It was all a waste of time.
Tumblr media
every single moment of shiptease, and uraraka pining after izuku...
Tumblr media
was one...
Tumblr media
gigiantic...
Tumblr media
Waste of fucking time.
I didnt like reading about this couple. But i cannot make the claim the story was not building up towards it.
it spent the vast majority of it's story building towards this couple, and in the last 3 chapters it devoted two of them to seemingly resolving this couple's story, and setting up for the next step... that never fucking came.
meaning that every little bit of ship tease these two had was a joke, a waste of time, it didnt mean anything in the grand scheme of things.
It was one of the most annoying parts of this manga to read through, and to my absolute fury and disguist i was fucking -vindicated.
It was an objective, waste of fucking time that could have been devoted to ANYTHING ELSE! It could have been devoted to another, better pairing, more character development for 1-A, Inko, the league of Villains, ANYTHING!
If the story was not going to end up with these two, there were plenty of ways to do that too, like having Uraraka's decision not to confess backfire as izuku moved on and hooked up with Mei, or melissa, or anyone else! or maybe just have izuku have moved past her an her ending up being friendzoned because she didnt make a move early enough! Or maybe have Uraraka realize she was gay after everything with Toga!
Again, ANYTHING ELSE would have been preferable.
Tumblr media
instead, even at the very end, even when the following pages kills the pairing dead, Hori STILL tries to shipbait these two!
fuck off.
2. Making Urarak look shallow through the worst fucking timing in the world.
Tumblr media
so, here is a question for you.
if you were going to ultimately choose not to go through with izuku x ochako, when would be the worst, possible timing to do it?
Tumblr media
because i sure cant think of any point worse, than during a timeskip, where izuku's quirk ultimately went away, leaving him powerless and a common working man for 3 years afterwards.
Now this is obviously not meant to be the actual reason in universe for why this pairing didnt happen... but the implication is there...
And it wouldnt have been, if Hori had actually had Izuku turn her down in one of the previous chapters.
but because he decided to chicken out of any and all romance to not get any shipper blowback, through the safest way possible, it's there.
It's ugly, and it's cruel, and it's mostly implication... but it is there.
3. It makes Uraraka's entire character growth with Toga WASTED.
Tumblr media
So Toga's part of her and Uraraka's storyline is obvious.
The girl who was looking for someone, anyone who would want to understand her finally found somebody who would, and she decided to give it all for that person.
in uraraka, she finally got what she could not get in the league, amongst her old friends, or anyone else.
Tumblr media
No the problem is not with that side of their shared development.
The problem with this is that it completely wastes Uraraka's side of this equation.
The thing that Uraraka envied about Toga, was her ability to smile as she wanted, uncaring about how the world might think of her, something the shy uraraka deeply wished she could do too.
Tumblr media
Ultimately, as presented in the final war arc, her develoment from this relationship was her finally learning to be honest, to embrace doing what she wanted to do.
She wanted to reach out a genuine hand in compassion to Toga despite EVERYTHING, and so she did. uncaring about what the world might have thought.
FInally she could be who she wanted to be. the girl who had been defined so long about keeping her love and more emberassing feelings under wrap no longer cared about being judged for them.
It's a very beautiful moment.
Man... It sure would SUCK if later uraraka completely backtracked, was never able to tell her crush her actual feelings, and instead it went absolutely nowhere, meaning she reverted back to the same person she had always been. that she never really grew past this flaw of herself she disliked.
That would really, really suck, and cheapen her entire character climax from the final war arc.
Man, that would suck.
It would suck even more, if the reason that happened, was due to the author not wanting to piss off the shippers that shipped the target of her affection with his former abuser and bully who tried to get him to kill himself.
This was a terrible way to end the series, not due to directly sucking, the way Attack on Titan, or bleach's endings did... but instead due to committing SO HARD to resolving NOTHING, that it flipped all the way around to being INFURIATING in how much it REFUSED to give ANY character who's final resolution would probably have involved shipping, that its pisses you off, because it means that everything that these characters were building towards had no resolution.
The only real exception was Iida, and in his case its just obviously clear that Hori just did not care to give him a climax. for everyone else though?
Hori's decision to not wanting to go through what Kishimoto went through after Naruto's final chapter might be understandable, but it also means that his already rocky final arc ended wastly lesser in quality than it could have.

Their healing abilities also extend to others. They must gain the energy to do so by taking it from enemies or using their own(think Moyra from overwatch, sorta. w/ a mix of bastille's group healing ability thing teehee).

"Have We Met Before? by Tom Rosenthal, Fenne Lily"

ㅤ ㅤ◁ㅤ ❚❚ ㅤ▷ ㅤㅤ
“ Will you know it when you see it? Have we met before?”
Tumblr media
You hadn’t been in Japan for years, having been sent to America by the Hero Commission as soon as you had graduated from Yuuei. Adjusting to the culture (both civilian and hero) was a struggle, but you did well with your healing-centered quirk.
Once the war had taken place, the commission had called back all of the heroes they sent to foreign countries they could, and you just so happened to be one of them. All for One was a looming threat, and with the amount of casualties suffered, they sent you home to help the war effort.
You stand inside Yuuei’s walls, stomach rolling at the bleak sight. Cities had been razed while you were gone, and Yuuei had been converted into a base for civilians and heroes alike. People milled around almost aimlessly, no doubt restless, as they were afraid to leave school grounds. You make your way through the crowd, eyes focused on the building you had been directed to.
Yuuei hadn’t had dorms since you last checked, but amongst all the changes you’ve seen in your hometown, you didn’t have the energy to even question it. You hurry up the steps and knock idly on the door, rocking on your heels while you wait for it to open.
The door creaks open, and an eye with a black sclera blinks at you before it opens wider, revealing a yellow-eyed, pink girl. She grins tightly at you, obviously confused by your presence.
“Hello, can I help you?” She said, and you take note of her for just a second. Young, most definitely not any older than 17- and tired. Her demeanor screamed of exhaustion. You smile gently at her.
“Hi, Nezu directed me this way. I’m looking for your teacher. This is 2-A, right?” You say, taking a step back just in case you had gotten it wrong (which you hoped wasn’t the case, seeing as the dorms were marked with the class names). The girl nodded and opened the door further, shifting to allow you room to enter.
“Yeah! You’re in the right place.” She says, and you enter the building quickly. You take your shoes off and place them into one of the cubbies near the door, and you note the number of shoes already in the cubbies. It reminds you of school, and you can’t help but smile at the sight.
The girl hands you a pair of guest slippers, and as you put them on, she grins a little softer.
” I’m Mina, by the way.” She says. You nod, both of you making your way out of the genkan.
” You have a very pretty name, Mina. I’m Revitalight, but you can call me y/n.” You reply, and she squints a little at you.
” Revitalight? I’ve heard that name before…oh, and thank you.” She says, startled out of her contemplation as she remembered the compliment. You nodded, a soft laugh leaving you. Even with the war, she was kind and very much a child. It both saddened and warmed you how her demeanor did not wholly mirror that of the community outside.
You both make it to the couches, where another group of teenagers are milling around. Their idle conversations pause as you stand at the edge of one of the couches. You wave politely, and Mina gestures toward you excitedly.
“Please welcome American Pro Hero: Revitalight!” She introduced, and you don’t have it in you to fight the American label- you’ve been a Pro in America for longer than she’s been in school. No point in telling her you went to Yuuei, too - or that you were still under the HPSC’s rule. The others say hello enthusiastically, waving from where they were sprawled out on the couch.
“Please, call me y/n.” You say, sitting on an unoccupied section of the couch.
Mina explains you’re looking for their sensei, and a girl with frog-adjacent features stands from her place on the couch.
“I’ll get Sensei down here for you then.” She says, voice horse how you’d expect a frogs to be. You send her a grateful smile.
” Thank you.” You respond, and she does little more than nod and disappear down the hall.
“Why are you here, Revitalight-san?” A boy with glasses says, and you pause to consider what you can tell them.
“The commission asked me to return, and I’ve been dispatched here. Principal Nedzu said I should head here before finding Recovery Girl.” You explain, trying to ignore the way the kids around you sober up quickly at the mention of the Hero Commission. You didn’t know how much they knew, but you hoped it wasn’t much- for their sake.
“What’s your quirk do?” A blonde asks, and you can see his curiosity blatantly on his face. You smile and raise your hand, gesturing toward him. He straightens from his flopped-over position and stands excitedly, opening his arms.
” Hit me!” He says, pouting at the bespeckled boy when he tries to get him to sit down.
” Denki, we don’t know their quirk. What if it’s dangerous,” he cautions, and you laugh a little to ease his worry.
“Don’t worry, um,” Mina whispers into your ear quickly, “Iida-kun. This won’t hurt him at all.” You reassure, and Iida settles back into his seat without further complaint.
The kids watch as you flex your hand just slightly, and suddenly, a bright yellowish-white light floats slowly from your hand to Denki, curling and moving in the air. The glow hits Denki straight in the chest, and he takes a deep breath.
“Woah.” He says, shaking out his body and looking down just in time to see the glow follow lightning-like patterns below his skin and fade down his arms. You tilt your head and eye the lightning bolt in his hair.
“Your quirk is electricity, right?” You say, prompting him to nod. The way the kids stare at you makes you want to laugh, but you hold off in case they take it mockingly.
“I can tell from the patterns it made. I only see those jagged lines from people who have lightning quirks or have been exposed to high voltages.” You explain, and Denki brightens at the information.
Mina’s about to ask a question when someone clears their throat behind you, and the kids all deflate into exaggerated whines or pouts.
“That’s enough, all of you, to your rooms. Or anywhere but here, really. If you even think of eavesdropping, I’ll have you scrubbing bathrooms for a week.” The voice says dryly, and you grin as the kids file out quickly, whining, “This is a common area; it’s not eavesdropping,” and “Sensei’s such a buzzkill.”
You turn to face them with a sheepish smile already in place.
“Sorry for intruding. Principal Nedzu said I should speak to you before,” You pause, finally registering who exactly you’re talking to. The gaze you get in return is similarly dumbfounded.
“Shou- Aizawa-san.” You stutter, correcting yourself. The man before you is every bit the boy you remember, even with the injuries you can see littering his body. The same tired eyes, pitch black hair, moody expression.
And still, you’re hit by his age. The mature structure of his jaw and the strong frame that screamed, well, Pro Hero hit you more than you’d think. Most of all, his height struck you. Last you had seen, Aizawa was pretty short for your age. He stands in front of you at six feet at least, and you wonder when a growth spurt that big hit him.
You flick your fingers anxiously, and his eyes follow the gesture for just a moment.
“Y/n. It’s been…a long time.” He says, crossing his arms in an attempt to seem casual. You can see the awkwardness of the action, though, in the way his shoulders tense and his brow furrows. The familiarity makes you a little light-headed. You smile, nodding.
“Yeah, it has. 12 years, now?” You say, looking around for just a moment to avoid his gaze. His hair, longer than you remember it being, is tied into a half-up, half-down style. He nods, and you lace your fingers together in front of you.
“Nedzu said the commission was sending someone, though he didn’t say it’d be you.” He says, and you try to find some emotion in the statement. When you don’t identify anything negative from his words, you shrug.
” Principal Nedzu didn’t tell me you were the teacher I was meeting either. Speaking of,” You hum, stepping closer. Aizawa shifts, obviously watching you but not moving away. “Sensei? Didn’t know you wanted to be a teacher, Aizawa.”
Aizawa grimaces slightly with a sigh and drops his arms from his chest to shove them into his pockets. “It’s not really my thing. But someone has to do it.” He says, and you squint a little at his response. With his hands hidden in his pockets, it clicks in your mind, and you bite back a smug smile. Aizawa had a similar tell to you- his hands start motioning to crack his knuckles, even if no pop comes of it.
You let a calmer grin settle on your face, staring up at him.
“Totally. Either way, I think it’s pretty cool of you.” You compliment, and his mouth twitches faintly in response.
“Why are you here?” He asks suddenly, and for a moment, you can see in his face that he hadn’t meant to say that out loud.
You huff a sigh, “Same reason as everyone else. The war effort needed help, so the commission sent me home.” You explain. Aizawa nodded absently, reaching up to rub at his neck as he thought.
“You’re here to help Recovery Girl, then?” He says, face serious. You shake your hand in a so-so motion.
“Yes and no. I’ll help RG here for now, but I’ve been told they’ll send me with patrol groups and into war zones when needed. I can heal en mass in a way she can’t.” You shrug. Aizawa frowned, and you could tell he wasn’t happy with how the hero commission seemed comfortable throwing you wherever. Still, they’ve been this blasé with your life since you agreed to the program years ago, so it wasn’t something you concerned yourself with anymore.
“That doesn’t seem sustainable at all,” Aizawa says, critical as always. You give him an unimpressed look.
“War generally isn’t, no. I’m sure it’ll be fine,” you say, waving your hand casually. “Anyway. I meant to ask, what’s up with…this.” You say, gesturing toward the eye patch. He pursed his lips briefly.
“War causality. Still getting used to it.” He rumbled, and you smiled gently at him.
“If anyone can kick ass with one eye, it’s you, Aizawa.” You hit his shoulder playfully, almost in slow motion as a joke. The movement is familiar, and for just a second, you remember how this same punch made him hiss like a disgruntled cat and glare at you, teetering away from the force.
Now, the stare he levels you with is unimpressed; mouth curled upward. He hadn’t budged. Your stomach flutters for a moment. “You’re ridiculous.” He mutters. That is familiar. The warm tone in his voice makes you painfully nostalgic, and through the ache in your chest, you laugh at his response.
“One of us has to be,” You tease, backing up and crossing your arms. Aizawa shoots you a look and rolls his eye. Without another word, he turns back down the hall he came from, and it only takes you a beat to realize you were supposed to follow.
“C’mon, Mic would wanna see you.” He calls, waving a lazy hand to gesture you over. You follow eagerly, almost tripping over yourself.
“Oh my GOD, Mic’s here too?!”

Aizawa x reader - one day soon
Tumblr media
listen to it, if you can. but maybe it's R X Aizawa (duh) and R is the one saying I love you, and Aizawa is the second lyric but this is placed in highschool. then it switches to when their adults, and it's flipped, and them maybe plot blahblahblah and they love happily ever after - @nyxiethesimp
The winter festival was coming up and you were practically bouncing with excitement as you padded down the hallways.
“Aizawa!” You called.
The boy sighed, turning around to look at you, and you jumped in front of him, clasping your hands behind your back as you wore a bright grin.
“Come find me on the roof at lunch!”
“Why?”
“Because I wanna talk to you!”
You gave him a bright grin, then you turned to the boy next to give, high fiving him as hard as you could.
“Training was awesome yesterday (N/N)!” Hizashi beamed.
“I know! Your quirk is amazing Hashi! Like you’re gonna be such a popular hero!”
“So is yours! Hell hound is so freaking cool!” He gushed.
You rubbed the back of your head sheepishly, grinning a little bit at him.
“Yeah but I don’t have full control yet, I’m just glad Aizawa was there to stop me from going all out of control.”
“You just need to train more.” Aizawa huffed.
“Well am trying!” You pouted.
Hizashi laughed loudly, throwing his arm over your shoulder and you grinned up at him.
“You got this!”
When the bell went you went to your class while they made their way to their own classroom, and as lunch came you stood on the roof waiting.
You heard the door open, and you turned around, giving the dark haired boy a bright smile as you clasped your hands behind your back.
“What did you want to talk about?” He asked.
You padded over, standing just in front of him.
“I want to go to the winter festival with you.”
You were more soft spoken this time, not like your usually energetic self, you kept your voice quiet and soft, your grin and melted away into a soft smile.
“Why?”
Your smile widened slightly, a spark in your it eyes.
“I could never choose to love another.”
Aizawa sighed, rubbing the back of his neck, and he glanced away from you.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t think that’s a good idea. I don’t feel the same way, you should go with somebody else.”
He glanced back at you to find you still smiling, and you leant forward, kissing his cheek before you stepped around from him, twirling around him so you could head to the stairs.
“That’s okay, I knew it was a chance.”
Aizawa quickly turned around to look at you.
“Maybe one day I could learn to love you too.”
You paused, turning to cast him a bright grin.
“I hope so, but it’s okay if not! I’ll still love you!” You beamed.
With that you ran down the stairs with a laugh as you called the name of your other best friend, trying to find him.
Aizawa spent a lot of time thinking back to that day, the day you admitted how you felt about him, and the bright smile on your face as he rejected you.
Even after him turning you down, you still stayed his friend, giving him the brightest smile he had ever seen.
After graduating UA you went on to becoming a deep underground hero, deeper than he was, and slowly your two friends had lost contact with you.
Sometimes they would see your posts on the hero communication network, but that was it until it came to the UA festival.
You had been contacted about acting as security for the school so the could hold the festival, they needed much more protection than they did at the sports festival.
You had agreed, and you stood in the principals office with your hands clasped behind your back.
“Thank you for coming shadowhound, I’m sure with your assistance we’ll have no problem protecting our students!” Nezu smiled.
“I’m here to help, where do you want me?”
“Well, we’ve got people patrolling outside, I was wondering if you could focus on inside, along with the dorms of course, taking account for all the students making sure they’re present at the start of curfew.”
You gave a nod of your head, reaching out to take some papers from him as you began to make your way over to the dorms.
Curfew was about to start for the night, so you made your way to the closest dorm, letting yourself in, calling down all the students.
Those who weren’t down right away were rounded up by your hellhounds.
You finally made your way to the last dorm, and you knocked on the door, holding the list in your hand.
The door was opened, and you looked at the boy, you held out your hero card so he could look at it.
“I’m here to make sure you’re following curfew, you’ve got two minutes to get your classmates before I round them up.”
“Of course!”
He ran away and you walked inside, the hounds around your feet whining and barking, waiting for their orders as you stared at your phone.
You watched as the timer counter down, and when it went off you put your phone in your pocket, reading out the names on the list.
They all responded, and you put the list back inside your pocket.
“Watch them.”
The two hounds barked, and left your side, laying in front of the students.
“If you leave they’ll know, then you have to deal it’s me and whoever your home room teacher is.”
With that, you left, heading back to the school where you sat on the top, able to get a good view of the dorms and carefully watch what was going on.
A black fire coated your body to keep you warm.
Hearing the door creek open, you turned around, raising your hand only to lower it when you saw the man standing there.
He gestured for you to follow him so with a sigh you did, following him down the stairs and the moment you were in the hallway you were tackled to the ground.
“Ya can’t just turn up and not say hi!” The other yelled.
“Hello Hizashi.” You greeted.
You pat back a couple of times, and he sat up to look at you, a small frown on his face.
“Well that wasn’t very energetic of you.” He huffed.
You sat up, pushing yourself from the ground as you brushed your clothes down, leaning your back against the wall as you crossed your arms.
“I wasn’t aware you two were teachers.”
“We did try to tell ya! But you just disappeared man!”
You slowly nodded your head, looking at the ground before you looked back to the pair of them.
“How did you even know I was here? My presence hasn’t been announced to anybody, I never saw either of you on my travels.”
“I saw your hound at the door of the dorm when I came back.” Aizawa said.
You slowly nodded your head, lifting your gaze to look at them both, but they couldn’t get a good view of you through your flames.
Aizawa couldn’t put them out because he knew it could erase your hounds as well.
“Well what have you been doing?!” Hizashi grinned.
You went to speak, but stopped when the howl of one of your hounds echoed through the ground.
“Aizawa one of your students are trying to leave the dorms.”
“Right. Thanks.”
He started to leave, and Hizashi stared at you intently, narrowing his eyes a little bit.
“Undercover changed you, huh?” He asked quietly.
“Hero work changes everybody.”
You sighed.
You looked at him, and you walked over, wrapping your arms around his shoulders, and he hugged you back gently.
You sighed softly, and he ran a hand up and down your back.
“I missed you (N/N)…” he pouted.
You laughed softly, pulling away and put your flames out so he could see your face this time.
“I missed you too Hashi, now come on, I want coffee.”
He grinned brightly, snatching your hand into your own as he happily dragged your down the hallways.
You didn’t see Aizawa again until the next day, you were back on the roof, staring up at the clouds.
“I heard Mic spent all night talking your ear off, I’m shocked you’re still awake.”
You turned around to look at him, and Aizawa took a moment to take you in.
You weren’t smiling like he remembered, you had a scar that covered half your neck, and a slight cloudiness to one of your eyes.
He furrowed his brows a little bit.
“You’re half blind?” He asked.
“I had an accident some years ago, lost control of my flames, burnt myself pretty badly, and a villain managed to get me good. Still standing though.”
He walked over, brushing your hair away from your neck, getting a better look at the old scar, and while he was looking, you brought your hand up to his face, touching the scar under his eyes.
“I’m not the only one who had it hard.”
“Nothing compared to yours.”
“We’re comparing battle wounds now?”
He let out a small laugh, shaking his head at you.
You let your hand fall away, stuffing it back into your pocket and he placed his hand on the side of your face.
“I was worried about you.”
“Thank you I think?”
He sighed.
“You aren’t the same person that you were back then. You have no smile.”
You shrugged a little bit, looking away from him.
“I have to go.”
You brushed past him, making your way towards the stairs.
“I could never choose to love another.” He said.
You stopped, looking down at your feet.
“Maybe one day I could learn to love you too.” You quietly replied.
You left, and that was the last he saw of you for the rest of the festival, you had to focus on your duties, and when the festival ended they thought you had left.
It wasn’t until after the weekend when they saw you again, standing in the teachers lounge looking a little confused.
You were being brought in as extra security for the school, since you had to take a break from your undercover operations.
You slowly got back to talking to your old friends, but you still kept your distance from them, having spent so much time alone you weren’t to sure about other people now.
Aizawa found you patrolling the grounds with one of your hounds, and you stopped to look at him, offering him a wave which he returned.
He began to make his way over, and when he was closer you send the hound over to the dorm, and began walking with him next to you.
“It’s late, shouldn’t you be inside?” You asked.
“I could say the same for you. Why are you patrolling, it’s not your night.”
“I couldn’t sleep.”
He nodded his head, glancing at you before looking away.
“Why?”
“Been struggling to sleep for a while now.”
“Because of your undercover work?”
You nodded.
“Come on.”
He turned around, gesturing for you to follow him, so you did without really thinking much about it.
He took you to his office in the dorm, gesturing to the couch and you sat down.
“No. Lay down.” He sighed.
You laid down, staring up at the ceiling and he went back to working.
After a few minutes he looked over, getting up he stood over you, looking at you with his hair in his face, hands stuffed in his pockets.
“You’re supposed to go to sleep.”
“Well you didn’t specify that.”
He gave you a little grin which you gave back to him, and you sat up, gesturing for him to crouch down and he did.
“Turn around and sit.”
He nodded, sitting in front of you and you took his arm, taking his hair band from him, and you began to work your hands through his hair.
You tied his hair back for him, and he titled his head back look at you.
“Why’d you do that?”
“So you can see dummy.”
You gave him a soft smile, one that he remembered you having all those years ago.
“I like your smile. You should smile more.”
You huffed, looking away.
“Shut up…”
Aizawa stood up, and you turned your head back to him as he sat down on the couch, holding his arm out for you.
You stood up looking at him utterly confused, and he reached for you hand, pulling you into him, laying down with you on his chest.
“Go to sleep.”
You placed your hand on his shoulder.
You could feel him playing with the ends of your hair.
“Aizawa?” You asked confused.
“Less talk, more sleep.”
You sighed, nodding slightly and closed your eyes.
You were nearly asleep when you heard him speak again.
“I should’ve said yes when you asked me to the festival…”
You let out a small laugh, sitting up a little, looking down at him.
“Then say yes next time dumbass.”
“Shut up.” He huffed.
You grinned down at him and he grinned a little bit at you, placing his hand on the back of your head to guide you back into laying back down

Okay, quick disclaimers: 1. I know some people don't like Horikoshi's worldbuilding, would say there's a lack of depth, etc, etc. I'm not one of those people, I just see it as my chance to overanalyze and fill in the gaps myself for these kind of headcanon/theory/whatever you want to call this post. 2. This post will briefly touch on my own personal headcanons of Mic being an orphan and Aizawa being a rich kid.
Tumblr media
Okay! all that being said, I'm just going to throw some things at the wall about my own thoughts/headcanons about the world Mic and Aizawa grew up in, and you guys can let me know if anything sticks.
You ever think about how All Might is around 25 years older than Mic and Aizawa?
Given that he left Japan as a teenager and went to college in America, he probably came back and started becoming the Symbol of Peace in Japan in his early-mid twenties.
Mic and Aizawa would have been part of the first generation of kids who have never known a world without All Might
Like. Think about that. They would have grown up in a world that is just beginning to recover from the horrors (as compared to the relatively deceptively safe society we see at the beginning of the series)
Hizashi grows up in an orphanage with a lot of older kids who were orphaned by villain attacks and...not so many kids younger than him. Which is good for them, but kind of lonely for a kid like Zashi
There's a wall around the orphanage that is supposed to be for protecting them, but as villain activity decreases, it just starts to feel like it's keeping the kids in
Hizashi becomes a hero because he knows nobody else is going to save him
Shouta grows up in a high security gated community
He's always wanted to be a hero, and he's always been told it's pointless, because All Might will have eradicated villainy by the time Shouta's an adult this is of course a lie
part of the tragedy of Oboro's death is that they've heard their whole lives how large scale villain attacks like that are a thing of the past
They would have had drills for what to do in case of villain attacks when they were little kids starting school. These would have slowly been phased out by the time they were in middle school
Another thing that's changed since they were kids is the architecture
No more burned down, bombed out buildings that just sit around because there's no point rebuilding something that will just be destroyed again in a few weeks. No more business that are still open, but the windows are boarded up because they can't afford to keep replacing the glass
No more graffitied walls and fences and gates. No more anti-villain spikes on top of buildings and around cities
And all of these things disappeared so slowly that it's like one day when they're in highschool, they just look around and realize they don't exist anymore and wonder where it all went and when it happened
There was probably a population boom as All Might started to cement his place as the Symbol of Peace. People realizing their kids would have a safer world to grow up in and they didn't have to fear dying every other minute
People moving out of the safety of the cities back into more rural areas
actually hang on. that would kind of explain the racism and bigotry we know exists in the rural regions
this was supposed to be more about mic and aizawa and now i'm just spitballing worldbuilding sorry.
Mic and Aizawa are kind of in this weird inbetween of the fourth generation of quirk users, who grew up fully in the horrors of quirk wars, and the fifth generation, who grew up in the era of All Might and it's all just the past to them
Because even though they didn't exactly live it themselves, they did still see the direct effects of it
And that's the horror of this new war, because their students had been living the peace Mic and Aizawa were promised as children
