My dear lads and ladies, Christmas is just around the corner and most of the time the relatives you'd rather see from behind than from the front arrive. And so that you can endure the whole thing loaded to the gunn'ls, here are a few nice drinks that pirates have enjoyed. But don't complain afterwards if you think your living room has a swell.

Rumfustian the classic pirate drink contains cinnamon, nutmeg, raw egg, sugar, beer, gin and sherry (just no rum) to taste and then mix well and heat up. Then the whole thing really pops again (preferably drink when politics comes up and the old men think they know everything better or have to listen to the old war stories again and again, only that the weapons or the opponents become more numerous with each repetition 🙄).

Or can it be a tankard of hipsy? Mix an amalgam of wine, water, brandy and sugar and enjoy. Unfortunately I don't have a complete recipe so I recommend just try and error. Or how about a Bumboo (also called Bumbo ?) Mix rum with water, sugar and nutmeg as you like and off you go. Also works well with a Rumbo, a half and half mix of rum with water and sweetened with crude sugar. Dog's nose is also good, simply mix beer with gin (ale and rum also works, but only among friends, the stuff is not without) Flip is also very popular, mix a small beer with rum or brandy or both, sweeten with sugar and then drink warm. According to legend, you can also drink like Blackbeard, simply flavour rum with gunpowder and light it. - It's nice that the drink is also just a legend, we should all please keep our hands off it. So I think that's enough for now, I wish you lots of fun mixing and a merry christmas.

And a little disclaimer at this point - I'm not a Christmas hater, I just don't like my relatives.

I currently track HipsX (absolute amount of hips rotation in X versus the horizon), HipsY under the alias SpinDamp (relative difference of hips rotation from a damped rotation constraint always turning to follow you, faster and faster the further away you manage to rotate from it, but slowly and languidly if it has you in its clutches)... I should probably track HipsZ as an absolute as well because then I will simply be able to do something sensible on rollover.

I won't though. Because I wish to be ROBUST to rollover, natively. I want to act exactly the same and perfectly correctly whether I am rolling over or not.

"Well, 'Josie' was that man attempting to demean me in front of a crowd. I was insisting I be placed as a member of-" He trialed off, thinking. "Was it 'senate' back then? I know it wasn't parliament.

"Regardless, he was trying to insult and emasculate me in front of the crowd so they wouldn't vote for me. I was using the same name then I use now, hence the effeminate form 'Josie'.

"Which I suppose goes with the rest, as I've always had softer features that humans around these areas consider more feminine. Which used to bother me far more than it does now.

"Quite early on in my life, there was a man I'd grown to fancy. One day I was helping him gather fish eggs and, as he put them in a basket for me to hold, I jokingly asked if I was just his egg holder. He immediately answered yes, and before we were even back to the village, he'd come to mean that, despite being a male, I had to have 'eggs' because-" He paused and glanced away. "-Of reasons.

"He very quickly began equating me with a female, and began calling me his 'baby angel' because of it. Given my ethereal look. And because he thought I would bare his children, 'egg-holding baby angel' became very common after that. And quite unpleasant.

"As for 'hipsy'... Well, at one point I was courting a woman who was, among other things, very slim and very stick-like. She didn't have much if any curve to her body, not that I minded. She was very sweet.

"Her friends were much the same in body type. Once, they caught me in what you would consider undergarments today. I can't say I have very prominent hips or thighs, but to them I did and would still. They told me I was quite 'plump' at the time, and after that, I more than once caught them gossiping with her saying I was 'hipsy'."
