Is it me or is the UBW anime Rin weirdly elongated compared to the VN

you're correct! she looks pretty different from the vn, despite the ufotable anime being a much more faithful adaptation of takeuchi's style than the deen one, because tabata hisayuki (who did the character designs for ufotable's UBW and HF anime) draws her that way

I saw a Kanshou and Bakura replica weapons on sell at the exhibit hall. I think it’s for cosplay but that’s cool nonetheless.

Except Kanshou was $400 😂 I don’t even know if that included Bakuya. Imagine spending that much, and Archer just replicates dozens of the same twin blades for free. To have the power of projection seems quite handy…

Well, nonetheless I got an autograph from Hisayuki Tabata 😊. I think I’ll get another one tomorrow because I left my Archer animation book at home (maybe I’ll get the print signed? I might just bring both because I don’t know if that marker will bleed through my print…). By the way, for those of you who don’t know Hisayuki Tabata is the animation director/character design for Fate: UBW anime and character design for Fate: HF trilogy. Of course he worked on other anime but my blog mostly posts Fate stuff so… ☺️.

Secondo film della trilogia animata dallo studio ufotable che andrà a raccontare le vicende della route omonima narrata nell’originale visual novel Fate/stay night, sviluppata da Type-Moon, concepita da Kinoko Nasu e illustrata da Takashi Takeuchi.

Il primo film, “Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel - I. presage flower” è uscito nelle sale giapponesi il 14 ottobre 2017 e lo scorso febbraio è approdato anche nei nostri cinema grazie a Dynit e Nexo Digital.

L’anime ci conduce a 10 anni dalla precedente Guerra del Santo Graal, quando una nuova battaglia incombe nella città di Fuyuki. Sette maghi, al comando di sette Servant (eroi leggendari rimasti nella storia umana), si affronteranno in uno scontro all’ultimo sangue dove il premio finale per il vincitore sarà il Santo Graal, la leggendaria reliquia in grado di realizzare ogni desiderio. Non si tratta di una semplice gara di forza: è una guerra vera e propria in cui alleanze, faide, strategie e colpi di scena si susseguono continuamente. Shirou Emiya, studente delle superiori che conduce una vita apparentemente normale, dopo aver assistito involontariamente allo scontro tra due individui dai poteri sovrannaturali, si troverà suo malgrado coinvolto nella battaglia, rischiando di morire, ma verrà salvato da Saber, un Servant dalle sembianze di giovane donna dai capelli biondi che impugna una misteriosa spada invisibile. Il ragazzo, venuto a conoscenza della realtà a proposito della Guerra del Santo Graal, deciderà di prendervi parte non per ottenere il premio finale, ma per proteggere coloro a cui vuole bene ed evitare che altri subiscano le stesse sofferenze patite da lui 10 anni prima quando, a causa della quarta Guerra, la città di Fuyuki venne devastata.

Le due stagioni della serie anime “Fate/stay night’s ‘Unlimited Blade Works” (legata alla route di Rin Tohsaka) sono andate in onda fra il 2014 e il 2015 e sono disponibili in streaming su VVVVID sottotitolate e doppiate in italiano. Dynit ne ha distribuito anche una versione home video.

La primissima serie di “Fate/stay night” (legata alla route di Saber/Arturia), inedita in Italia, è andata in onda nel 2005.

About Fate/stay night [Heaven’s Feel] III. spring song:

To save the girl, to enact the justice he’s chosen…The young man will no longer turn a blind eye to the truth. Mages (Masters) and Heroic Spirits (Servants) work together in the battles of the Holy Grail War, a fight for an omnipotent wish-granting container called the Holy Grail. However, this war has become horribly twisted.

A young woman named Sakura Matou, with the sins she has committed, drowns in the murky darkness. A young man named Shirou Emiya, who vowed to protect Sakura, works together with Rin Tohsaka and throws himself into the raging battle to put a stop to the Holy Grail War.
