Napping time 👶💤
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Little Amanda often had trouble falling asleep...even after being fed, having a new diaper and being sung to all afternoon by Harriet. When she walked into the bedroom, to wake her sleeping husband, trying to ask for help, Amanda's chubby little arms reached out and her fussy little sounds turned into something coherent for the first time.
"Dada!"
Harriet's eyes went wide. Her first words!
And Harriet understood them so clearly. Amanda missed her dad! Of course! She just wanted to be close to him, snuggle up to him and feel his comforting warmth. Harriet lips curled into a smile as she gently kissed the girl's head, before letting her down on the mattress.
Straight away, Amy crawled to Sebastian and curled right on top of his back, her little fist holding tightly onto his shirt. It barely took a minute before her eyes were closed, her breathing slowed and her fussy sounds were turned into the smallest little hums.
Harriet couldn't help but watch this peaceful picture in front of her. She took in the little snores from her husband, the steady and synced breathing of them both and the soft shake of her daughter's curls. They have grown much darker since her birth and with every day passing by, she looked more and more like her father. She was just as curious and smart like Sebastian.
But the way she missed her dad, whenever he left the house or even just the room and immediately wanted to shower him with kisses the moment he was back...that was just like her mother.
They both loved Sebastian endlessly and they always would.
After giving both a soft kiss to their temple, Harriet left the room, chuckling to herself at the thought of telling Sebastian Amy's first words.
Tumblr media
Okay, okay...I told myself I would post Harriet's and Sebastian's story more "chronologically" except for my lake drawing, buuuut...I wanted to draw dad!Seb so desperately, I had to do this first!
This is a heavily referenced artwork, because I'm definitely not an artist that can draw a body free hand 🤣 And also this is more in a modern style, because again...I'm not a highly experienced artist, so I stayed very close to the source material 🙈
I hope you still like it and can gush over dad!Seb with me! 💕

Coffee Beans (love you a latte)
Pairing: Sebastian Sallow x reader
Word Count: 2k
Synopsis: After a sudden breakup, you find yourself reuniting with your estranged best friend over lattes in a small coffee shop.
Tumblr media
Sebastian sits next to you in the corner of a tiny coffee shop in London, his lanky frame barely filling out the spine of the chair. His fingertips tap against the burning porcelain cup nestled between his palms, the steam curling from the top of the cup in a ghastly swirl. He stares down at it in a sleepy daze, perplexed about why he’s here after you’d successful banished him for six months for the sake of your Gryffindor boyfriend, Garreth Weasley.
The silver-charmed bell nailed to the worn door of the tucked away coffee shop had ding-donged upon your arrival, coming to a halt seconds after the warmth of late Spring rolled in with you. Sebastian hadn’t as much as uttered a hello when you’d greeted him at the edge of the sticky counter upon your arrival in your own tone of weariness. He had barely glanced at you to take in your new shoulder length curls and freshly cut bangs, nor the healing of the scar left behind on the right side of your neck after your battle with Ranrok. The battle had been a year ago. The hair cut, only a couple days old. Surely he’d noticed your fading scar in the passings in the corridors or when he’d catch Garreth consoling you after a long day during dinner in The Great Hall. But he hated it, you know he hates it all.
“Seb—“ you whisper, starting slow, softly.
“Does he know you’re here?” He interrupts, eyes low and focused on the frothy milk overlaying his coffee.
You sputter softly, attempting to swallow a scoff, but knowing the question is valid. You’re the one that stopped hanging out with Sebastian. It felt appropriate once you realized Garreth’s request wasn’t entirely unreasonable.
The smell of freshly poured coffee beans and the humming of the expresso machine pulls your attention for a moment. The distant clinking of a spoon hitting the wall of a porcelain cup, the tear of a sugar packet or two, the frothing sound of whipped cream topping a to-go order, a soft piano melody flowing throughout the space. You think of Garreth alone in his dorm right now, using the quiet to think up whatever scenarios that ransack his brain whenever you two part.
“He doesn’t.”
A smug smirk appears on the corner of his lips, then falls back into a pensive pout. He shuffles in his seat, slowly opening up to you, chest coming into view first. His eyes roam over the empty tables beyond you, then you as if they’ve waited years to do so, and your shoulders shrink in relief.
Gazing back at him, you can’t believe you’d actually gone a full minute without engaging with your best friend. You must’ve been cursed to have gone a full six months with no contact, aside from passings in the hallway and The Great Hall. In the realization of it all, you’re thankful he hasn’t changed, not one bit, and you’re eager to pick up where you’d left off. At least in this moment, you believe you are.
“What’s my mortal enemy up to this time, if not courting you over breakfast? You two snog so much over morning pumpkin juice that the thought alone makes me want to hurl.”
Your cheeks burn hot at the thought of Sebastian seeing you kiss Garreth—watching, so much that it bothers him, haunts his thoughts and makes him sick to his stomach when he’s not even around.
“Garreth’s Garreth… You know, concocting strange inventions and attempting to find subjects to test them on. But that’s not why you agreed to come, not to speak about him...”
“I still don’t understand it all,” he starts. “He knows I’ve been in your life long before you saved that damned school. We were the best of friends, closer than Ominis and I. That was a threat to him and he deliberately complained that I was trying to steal you from him. Why?”
You avoid his eyes, once against knowing he’s right. Yet, Sebastian always manages to dismiss the events leading up to the main issue.
“Seb—“
He takes a long sip of his latte and readjusts, leaning back against the spine of the rattan chair before meeting your eyes again.
“Sebastian, he saw you kiss me…”
His cheeks turn as red as the cherry tomatoes in his uncles garden back in Feldcroft. As the realization settles in, there’s a long silence between the two of you. Had Sebastian not kissed you knowing you were still dating Garreth at the time, you wouldn’t have had to wedge so much distance. His excuse of drinking too much Butterbeer wasn’t a good enough explanation and Garreth had given you the ultimatum. You’d never seen him so upset. And as much as you wanted to defend Sebastian, your best friend, he was being reckless, jealous and territorial over something that didn’t belong to him. Even you couldn’t hide from that truth.
“I don’t regret it,” he says curtly, words cutting through your thoughts like a freshly sharpened dagger. “I would’ve kissed you a hundred times more had you not carved me out. Garreth doesn’t know you. He wasn’t there. He was working on dumb potions and those damned trick jellybeans while you and I were out there in the real world. Fighting goblins, trying to find a cure for Anne, piecing together Isidora’s triptych... We were risking our lives while he dallied around playing games. He’s never put his life on the line for you, Y/n.”
You scoff loudly, cheeks burning as hot as the untouched cup in front of you. You hate that he’s right every single time, but that means nothing right now. You liked Garreth. You loved his immaturity, his view of seeing some things in life differently. He showed you that everything didn’t always need to be taken seriously and Sebastian didn’t respect it.
“After Ranrok, Garreth was there.”
“Damn right he was,” Sebastian curses. “He was there like the rest, groveling at your feet after you’d saved the entire school. Everyone showered you in false love and compliments. I’ve loved you from the start.”
Your heart wrenches.
Not once has Sebastian admitted to loving you, ever. There were hints, signs. He was around so much that he’d practically become your shadow. He’s become more familiar than the lines on your palms or the spells you’d practiced endlessly into perfection. Your partnership in Crossed Wands and helping him find a cure for his sister had turned into a quickly blossoming friendship. You’d even found yourself thinking of him late at night when you should’ve been focused on planning for the doom that crawled closer— Rookwood, Ranrok, untamable ancient magic, the list could go on and on, but all you could think about was Sebastian Sallow.
A part of you was relieved when he’d asked you to dance at Natty’s party; you needed a moment away from Garreth, a moment to breathe. Though, you never expected Sebastian to take your breath away. You still remember the heavy smell of spiked Butterbeer on his lips, the sweet, thick taste of butterscotch and the scent of burnt timber lingering between you two. He’d been practicing Confringo again in The Undercroft beforehand. And the kiss felt like a dream, pulling everything you’d ever felt about him into a neat package with a shiny green bow. You just hadn’t expected Garreth to see it. And when he did, he knew Sebastian had to go, even if it killed you.
“We broke up,” you finally find the courage to speak.
That’s the reason you’d sent your white-feathered owl, Nora, to Sebastian two nights ago. Two days more without him felt like an eternity and you weren’t sure he’d show after all this time. You’d only hoped.
“I’m not surprised. You wouldn’t be here had it not happened, you’re too loyal. Maybe my tiny presence in your life of seeing you in passings has become too unbearable. He’d have me exiled if it were up to him.”
“I mean… I broke up with him. Six months was too long, Sebastian, and you didn’t even try to weasel your way back in. You just—you just let me go. You made it look so easy.”
“Easy!? Have I not suffered enough? Put myself on the line for you so many times? And need I remind you, you chose Weasley over me? That was your doing, Y/n,” he rants. “Looks can be deceiving, but I knew you’d come back. That’s what happens to the things we lose that are meant to be. And in those six months, I suffered, endlessly. Ominis could hardly stand my sulking much more before Nora showed with your letter. To think, all the times he told me I should admit how I felt, even during those six months, I didn’t listen. I didn’t want to ruin your perfect relationship with Garreth, or rather, I couldn’t. You would’ve hated me. I’m stubborn like you’ve said before, but I know, truly, that I’ve loved you and I still do now. No dumbwitted Gryffindor can change that.”
You can’t take it anymore, the racing of your heart, the heaviness of abandoning him. You couldn’t be with Garreth when your heart and soul craved Sebastian. You broke Garreth’s heart to be here, but that was something you could live with. Abandoning Sebastian wasn’t. It pulled and tugged at you in the worst and best of times. It haunted you when you were alone, when you were kissing Garreth, when he’d stay the night to cuddle in your dorm. Your mind had always gone back to the reckless, brown eyed, freckle faced Slytherin right in front of you.
“I love you too, you know?” You mutter nonchalantly, hoping the words don’t go straight to his skull. “I think it was destined to happen the day we met… when we dueled in Defense Against the Dark Arts.”
He smiles charmingly, attempting to hold back a smirk and a teasing laugh at the distant memory. Because why wouldn’t you have fallen for him? His sarcasm, charms and good looks were always there.
“I really knew when you opened up to me about your sister,” you continue. “When you realized you could do the important things without me, yet you still wanted me there. Even when it went against your best friend or your better judgment. You allowed me to see you, all of you. All the good and bad, Sebastian, and I love every single part of you.”
Sebastian’s eyes meet yours again, heavy, tired, and holding back tears. He’s missed you more than you’ll ever know, probably more than you missed him since you had Garreth to fill the void. Your voice, he missed the most. Your laughter, your deadpan humor and crappy puns. He missed the way you smelled, some muggle perfume you’d spritz yourself with in the mornings that made you smell of fresh flowers. A charm followed that you’d found in a book to make it last all day. He missed the way your skin and hair glistened in the moonlight when you’d both sneak out to fly broomsticks to Hogsmeade for a Butterbeer or two while the others slept. He missed practicing in The Undercroft with you, and Ominis lecturing him on the way back to the dorms about how he could feel the love in the air. He missed the warmth of you lying your head in his lap to vent to him under the old beech tree near Black Lake. He’d fallen in love with the sight of golden speckles reflecting in your irises when the branches began to sway just right with the breeze, exposing your features to the sun’s rays. He missed your smile, your lips, the way you’d tie your robe at your waist instead of wearing it. He missed and loved all of you. And he can’t fight the urge anymore. The heaviness of his own heart won’t let him, not with you this close, and not knowing that you’re no longer accounted for.
“We should get out of here, others might report back that you’ve gotten over your heartbreak rather quickly. Wouldn’t want that getting back to that poor Gryffindor of yours.”
“He’s not mine anymore,” you grumble and pinch Sebastian’s arm with a giggle. “But you’re right, we should go.”
“You still have that Room of Requirement? I think a single bed will suffice.”
You roll your eyes, holding back a giggle at his obviousness.
“We’ll go to my dorm first,” you reply before pecking a quick kiss on the corner of his lips that leaves his cheeks blushing. “Then, we’ll see if we truly require the room.”
He takes your hand in his right and leads you out of the tiny coffee shop. The silver bell ding dongs against the door once more, ushering you both into the warmth of Spring. And with a smile on his face, he’s ready to apparate anywhere in the world, as long as you promise to remain by his side.

Letting it Slide
Sebastian Sallow x f!reader
Summary - Request for “In the books there’s a moment where Ron tries to go up the stairs to Hermione’s room but they turn into a slide. 😂 I’d love to read a one shot written by you similar to this with Sebastian! Perhaps the reader and he are having a small argument in the common room, nothing serious, and she leaves to go to her room and he tries to follow her then ends up on the floor after the stairs turn. They forget the argument and laugh.
Word Count - 712
Warnings - none
You sat on the couch in the common room, rubbing your eyes. You were fatigued to be arguing with Sebastian once again over Garreth being your potions partner.
"I've already told you, we didn't have a choice. You know that. I'm not any more thrilled than you are because you know how he likes to experiment and it messes everything up."
Sebastian paced in front of you looking cross and disheveled from the way he kept adjusting his tie and mussing up his hair. He focused his glare on you. He was finding it difficult to not be jealous and upset.
He spoke angrily, waving his arms around. "But I can't be there! My potions period is different than yours. And I don't trust him to keep to himself. Merlin, if he tried to slip you any amortenia..." he trailed off, deep in thought with his own fantasy of throttling the redhead.
You stood up, completely exasperated with having this conversation for the second time in one week. You loved Sebastian, but you didn't enjoy having to deal with his jealousy. You stood in front of him, catching his arms with yours and forcing them to his sides.
You looked at him earnestly. "I think he's really more harmless than you're making him out to be. If he tried anything funny I would slap him long before you could cross the room even if you were there Sebastian. Don't you trust me?"
You felt helpless as he stared at you, his dimples and forehead creased with his anger. You didn't understand why it was that his trust in you wasn't good enough. He acted as though Garreth was some ape who would jump on you at a moment's notice.
He closed his eyes and sighed deeply, trailing his hands up your arms to weave his fingers into yours. "I trust you, but that doesn't extend to him. And who knows what could render you helpless if he had some concoction."
You groaned loudly, throwing his hands down, ignoring his hurt expression. "I'm done doing this for the night. You can find me tomorrow when you come to your senses."
You left him behind to ascend the stairs to your dorm. He was hot on your heels when you began to jog up them. He reached out for you, taking a few big steps behind you to follow you up when the stairs just gave way underneath him.
You turned around when you heard a thud and the sound of air being knocked out of him. You covered your mouth, trying to hide the smile and laughter threatening to burst from your lips. Sebastian lay where the bottom few steps had previously been, but now they were a slick and curved ramp.
He lay on his stomach, face buried into the hands that had caught his fall, legs splayed out beneath him. When he looked up at you with cheeks flushed in embarrassment, that was it. You doubled over in laughter as you watched him right himself at the bottom of the staircase. The stairs quickly formed once more right in front of you both.
You went back down and placed a hand on his cheek where it had connected with the ground, tilting your head to look at him.
He avoided your eyes and mumbled, "I'm sorry. I just don't want anyone else to have you."
"They won't, Sebastian. Who else would try and climb a slide for me?" you teased him. He turned his face against your palm, groaning before placing a soft kiss on your hand.
"I'd do it again to make you smile and stop being mad at me." He circled his arms around you and pulled you close to rest his head on your shoulder.
"Something annoying about you is that it's incredibly hard to stay mad at you," you pouted, voice muffled against his neck.
He laughed softly and nibbled at your neck, fingers tickling at your sides, "It is good information to know I can't just sneak up to your room. I guess that means we'll have to find somewhere else to —"
You shoved him playfully away when your face heated up. "Okay, that's enough of that. I do need to go to bed, you know."

Loving him: Sebastian
Tumblr media
image: @starrysallow | More in this series: Ominis | Garreth (WIP) | Andrew (WIP) Includes mild nsfw content
Your love for Sebastian was always apparent; looking back now, it was abundant.
It’s a duel more of wits than spells, and he is the worthy opponent you’d craved crossing wands with. He’s a clever one, you realized, challenging your abilities with cunning finesse, goading you with a sharp tongue. Though you best him, he’s a good sport, even offering to accompany you to Hogsmeade for an errand or two.
It’s noticing how the afternoon sun brings out red tones to his hair, how he tries to keep up though he’s the escort, a playful tug on the hood of your robe to keep in-step.
It’s a midnight rendezvous in the library’s restricted section, sneaking close to him under a shroud of disillusionment, a hand on his back for guidance, warmth bleeding through his shirt. A close encounter is prevented with a firm tug of your sleeve, hiding face to face with bated breaths, with hearts hammering both for the fear of being discovered and for the sudden proximity.
It’s sitting across from him the morning after, his freckled cheeks a wash of pink, eyes warm and reminiscent of the coffee you sip. The clamour of breakfast time is rendered mundane din, the rest of the world vignetted around him. You’d never considered seeing the world through a gaze of affection like this, having scoffed at fairytales that depicted such folly, but now you’re not so sure.
It’s in the damp of a cave, the must of a tomb, eager to explore the unknown on a path towards a paradox of dark enlightenment. A moment of uncertainty brings you pause, a question of morals, of what is truly forgivable, but those eyes hold more knowledge than you suspect and he asks you to trust him. And in that moment, you oblige.
It’s evenings spent on his down comforter, books scattered about, dozing on his leg until he finds a passage that piques your interest. And his calloused fingers brush the hair wisps from your face, the earthy smell of ancient parchment clinging to the salt of his skin. Eyes meet, and an exchange of words is not necessary.
It’s what gives passion heat, and heat is all you understand in his embrace. It’s those exquisitely resourceful hands everywhere, gripping, tugging, attempting to caress though he cannot soften this all-consuming need. Its limbs that tangle of their own volition, a bed frame that creaks when he thrusts, and lovemaking so ardent it pulls the sheet up from the mattress. There are no hesitations here, only desperations. There is no doubt, only certainty. He’s a fierce friend, but as a lover, he’s never been more determined.
It’s following him with little regard for your safety, little regard for other obligations. Your heart is a foolish compass and he is magnetic north, though he guides you anywhere but home.
It’s watching him raise the dead from soil, all pulled up like roots, and caught somewhere in the fragile seam of fear and fascination, in awe of the downright awful. You wonder, as he stands surrounded by idle Inferi like some prodigal child of darkness, if you’ve underestimated him all this time.
It’s realizing then, when he felled his own guardian, that your underestimations knew no bounds. It’s running after him as he flees, frightened of the implications, of the circumstances, of the blood staining his hands. It’s not cowering in fear of him, but the sympathy you are quick to offer wholeheartedly, providing gravity when his world turned to hang in the balance. It’s reasoning his innocence to the law itself, seeing his guilt, the shame spreading.
It’s picking up the pieces after the fallout, reconnecting the bridges burned, plank by patient plank. It’s watching him grow, and with you he develops an understanding of the dark to counter it with light. He sees the errors of his ways, the forks of his path that led him astray, and you regret not having the foresight to divert him elsewhere.
But then, he shows you his love. Dedicated and devoted, the bond you’d forged unbreakable, built on trust. It was always there, waiting.
It reassures you. And it’s everything you want.

Garreth Weasley Drabble
Just a little dribble drabble that was on my mind today Pairing: Garreth Weasley x F!MC (Just the vibes ig but not super obviously, it could be a gender neutral MC) Synopsis(?): A little drabble of Garreth waking up late Warnings: 18+ (nothing major but there are some insinuations.), Aged Up Characters A/N: This is unedited. Basically just me getting this out of my head.
Waking up in a room flooded with sunlight was usually a welcome sight to tired eyes, but today it had you shoving Garreth awake beside you in alarm. The two of you had overslept, normally waking far before the sun for the both of you to get where you needed to be.
Thankfully, today you had nowhere to be but he had to be at work.
He groans, still asleep, his arm half heartedly swatting in your general direction. You try again, pulling the blankets off of him and kicking his leg.
“We overslept! You’re going to be late!”
That at least gets him to open his eyes, head whipping towards the clock on his side table. “Fuck! I am late!” He drops the clock he had grabbed in his half asleep state and throws himself off the bed, nearly tumbling over in his panic. You take the opportunity to snuggle into the extra blankets, enjoying the show of a naked Garreth running around in a tizzy.
“Did we not set an alarm?” He’s searching the closet, tugging out clothes.
“I think we fell asleep before you could.” You decide to be merciful and pull yourself out of the bed, throwing on his shirt from yesterday that lay on the floor. “We were a bit… busy.”
He pauses tugging on pants to throw you a wink, a blush creeping onto your face as you pull open the dresser drawer.
“Love, I think you’re forgetting something.” You push the item you pulled from the dresser into his arms as you pass him on your way to the kitchen. He stops again, looking down at himself, his turn to blush as he realizes he’s not put anything on underneath the pants.
He continues jumping around, frantically dressing himself as you scrounge together something for him to bring for lunch and then he’s out the door, grabbing the bag as he goes.
It doesn’t last long.
He’s coming and going, back and forth, in and out the door repeatedly, having forgotten something each time. Giving you a sheepish smile every time the door opens as you start searching for your own breakfast.
“I forgot fucking socks.”
“Fuck. my wand. Can’t very well apparate without that, Can I?” “I had some papers ...er… inventory reports to give to my boss, have you seen them?” He finds them on your tiny dining table and sets off again, saluting you as he goes. This one doesn’t last a minute before the door is opening again and you set your mug down with a laugh.
“What else could you have possibly forgotten?” He crosses the few steps from the door to the kitchen, grabbing your face in his hands and kissing you hard, deep, making you weak in the knees. You steady yourself against the kitchen counter when he pulls away, giving you one last soft kiss.
“That.”
Then he’s gone again, leaving you breathless and lightheaded standing alone in the kitchen.

Some Sebastian HCs
Practices his jinxs on 6th-7th years because he likes the challenge.
Doesn't understand the word no, when applied to him, but knows how to use it.
Knows how to braid hair (even while walking) because Anne would have him do it for her when they were kids.
Outside of classes and Hogwarts, he prefers to wear warm toned colors; such as, olive green, rusty orange and deep burgundy.
Prides himself on his laid-back and silly nature but always knows when to be serious.
Even though Anne enjoys it, he doesn't like picking on the 1st years. Stating that there's no sport in picking on the feeble minded.
If he's not reading, run.
Even if he's wrong he will argue for his point, apologizing after a day or so when he realizes he was indeed wrong.
This is just a few but I enjoy these :)

The lake 🌅✨💕
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her heart was racing.
She noticed how distracted Sebastian was by her, as one by one she undressed in front of him. He still held onto her bag, that she handed to him a moment ago to place somewhere safe, completely unaware of how his lips were parted slightly and his chest was heaving with every breath.
If her heart wasn't beating as fast as it was, she might've been giggling at the funny face he was making. After all, it was his idea to take a dip, when they found this lake, hidden deep in this forest. He was his usual overly confident and teasing self, never once thinking she'd actually do it.
Yet, here she was, just in her chemise, her eyes lingering on his darkened ones, before she stepped into the soothingly cool lake. The water was clear and sparkling, giving this place a magical feeling. The plants beneath the water tickled at her feet, her steps getting heavier and slower the further she walked into it.
When she turned around to see Sebastian still rooted to the ground, the first thing she noticed was the very apparent blush all over his freckled cheeks and forehead. Even his ears were glowing red.
She knew, now standing in the warm rays of sunshine, that he'd be able to see through the fabric and see her silhouette. But what she didn't know was how the sunrays made her hair look even more golden, her skin glow and her eyes stand out so much more.
"She's a goddess," Sebastian thought to himself, as he gulped thickly...
...and merely choked, as in the same moment that she looked away, her arm reached out, pulling on the bow of her chemise.
Just like the green bowtie in her hair showed everyone around her, that she was his, she would show him, just how much she meant that.
Tumblr media
After half a year (also counting the 4 months of avoiding it) I finally finished this art!!! I'm so happy how it turned out! Thank you @rednite-dork for the help! 💕
Here are the two artworks of Harriet without the background! 🤭

MC and Sebastian are wrapping Ominis' birthday presents
MC: You know, we can both be idiots. But I think that's why we fit so well with Ominis. Every Ominis needs a couple of idiots. It's like a law or something.
Ominis: *walks into the room* MC? Sebastian?
Sebastian, whispering: Shit! Hide them, we can't ruin the surprise! *proceeds to stuff the presents under his robes*
MC: ...you might be the bigger idiot, though.
Ominis: *walks over to sit with Sebastian and MC*
Sebastian: Fuck! *aggressively throws the presents across the room*
MC: ...you are definitely the bigger idiot.
Ominis: ????

One of the unforgivable curses that your parents warned you about since you were a child. There’s a reason they’re called unforgivable.
Sebastian casts the curse right in front of your eyes, and you watch as his uncle Solomon’s body drops to the ground of the Feldcroft catacomb with a loud thud, and you stand still out of complete shock before you turn your head to look at Sebastian.
He looked stricken with… fear, almost, as he realizes what he’s just done. His wand drops from his hand just before his sister Anne soon storms into the tunnel, and she casts depulso at him. He flies backwards and hits the wall behind him.
He made his choice.
“Y/N,” Sebastian stammers, and you turn around briefly to watch him stand up and stumble to his feet after gathering his bearings once Anne had disappeared with Solomon’s body.
“No, Sebastian-” You say quickly, and you avoid his eyes before you begin to hurry out of the catacombs. You’ve spent enough time here.
Sebastian is hot on your heels, and once the two of you get outside, Sebastian reaches forward and grabs you by the back of your black and yellow robe.
You turn to him quickly with nothing but pain in your eyes, and Sebastian notices it instantly.
“Y/N, please listen to me!” Sebastian pleads, and you’re quick to yank yourself free from his grasp.
“Sebastian! I- you just used the killing curse! They’re called unforgivable for a reason! I wanted to help you cure Anne but you’ve gone too far- Dark magic is a path that you cannot follow, and I won’t watch you do it!” You can’t help but shout, and Sebastian’s lips downturn into a sad frown at your words.
“I- Y/N, what are you talking about? He attacked us!” Sebastian tries to reason, and as hot tears form in your eyes, you shake your head.
“He was trying to sto-”
“I had to!” Sebastian shouts, his eyes wide as he steps closer to you. You had to see, he had to keep you on his side.
“He attacked us first Y/N, I did what I had to do. I couldn’t let him hurt you.” Sebastian’s voice is quieter now, and he carefully moves closer and reaches over to take your hand in his. It was shaking.
“You understand, right? He could have killed us there, I had to do something.”
You blink a few times as Sebastian’s expression turns softer, and there’s… Sincerity in his gaze.
“He didn’t care about trying to help Anne. You and I do… you said you were going to help me find a cure for her.” Sebastian presses. He squeezes your hand then, and although what he did was unspeakable, you did promise him. You give him a small, unsure nod.
The corners of Sebastian's lips turn up into a slight smile, and he reaches up to brush some dust away from your cloak.
“I knew you would understand. I did what was best for us.” Sebastian nods, and his smile grows slightly as the two of you begin to walk away from the catacombs.
Only Sebastian could convince you that the use of an unforgivable curse was justified.
