These knuckles aren’t meant to be bare. He stares at them unharmed, unblemished; unholy. They’re lacking fine leathers and rings, the shine of a stone emerald green to match the sea-weed arrogance of his eyes; a band of gold for a halo and the expected weight of martyrdom. He is so frail, that little man. Short of height, flimsy of build, slight of hand. Naked, when so human.  Ludwig absorbs the shock of his skin, smoke-dulled bronze against the Vicar’s porcelain, and the difference in their scales. The night has weathered him to the marrow, torn leather off his palms to remake them into the stuff of hessian sacks. He grows wary; of his weariness.

Laurence X Ludwig?🤔

Don's Ship It

Why don’t you ship it: There is no big reason, I just was never hooked personally... 🤔 Though over time, I started to think Ludwig would be rather in love with the Church in general rather than Laurence personally. My Ludwig simply has a great reverence for Laurence as the symbol of the institution! They are just very "professional" towards each other, too "professional" to date, but mostly it is my Ludwig who simps for his 'duty' rather than for his boss :^)

What would have made you like it: I do like it already! xD I am just not 'invested' enough to call myself a shipper! It is just 'a ship that exists' for me. But I think I could get really invested into someone else's vision of the two!

Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it: It is a very good ship, it has a lot of potential and makes perfect sense in canon! I love all the ideas about them mutually destroying one another, or Ludwig being actually aware about Laurence's sins, or them only truly trusting to each other... There is just no way to make this ship unlikeable IMO
