The NHL will not allow teams to wear "cause-based" jerseys next season, the league confirmed on Thursday.

The league's Board of Governors agreed with Commissioner Gary Bettman's view that the refusals overshadowed teams' efforts in hosting Pride nights that in some cases included auctioning off the warmup jerseys. All 32 teams held Pride or Hockey is for Everyone night.

Teams will still celebrate Pride and other theme nights, including military appreciation and Hockey Fights Cancer. They're also expected to still design and produce jerseys to be autographed and sold to raise money, even though players won't skate around with them on during warmups.

Pride jerseys became a hot-button issue in the league last season after multiple players refused to wear them during warmups.

Grian's parents are… comfortable, to be minimalist. Grian never really had to worry about anything (other than being kicked out for not being straight, but he's planning on waiting till they were dead anyway to tell his family so he could get the inheritance. Mumbo's family is… less than comfortable, to minimize their problems. they were really supportive of his transition, though he hasn't been able to get surgery yet.

Alberta school teachers are being targeted by a planned convoy “parade” next week in the latest wave of far-right protests targeting schools and educators.

Leading the planned “one million march for children” event is Benita Pedersen, a familiar face among Alberta’s far-right and a key organizer for Take Back Alberta during this year’s provincial election.

“I’m one of the main coordinators,” Pedersen confirmed to PressProgress. “I am in partnership with individuals from the groups ‘Alberta 4 Liberty’ and ‘YEG United’.”

Pedersen says her “one million march for children” is protesting “sexual education,” claiming parents are unable to “opt-out” because she believes lessons about sex and gender are being taught in every single school subject.
