#honestly im juat so sick of thr Ares slander

I love the change that the pjotv show made with how it very heavily implies that Posiedon assisted Percy in him defeating Ares.

I love this for many reasons, one being that it's showing Posiedon helping and caring for Percy which is great.

But mostly I love how they've toned down Percy's power. Now don't get me wrong, I love over powered Percy; but in no way should he have been able to defeat Ares alone at age twelve. (Or at any age for that matter).

It makes so much more sense this way, cause I hate how the books kinda implied that Ares, god of war and strength was weak or dumb when he is not in anyway. However, he wouldn't stand much of a chance against Posiedon with the god at full power which is why this works better.

I know that the whole Percy defeating Ares thing is a funny joke within the fandom, but there is just no way that happened without Percy having help. Ares has really only ever been defeated once and it was by Athena, the other main war goddess and prodigy of Zeus. In no world is he getting his ass kicked by a scrawny 12 year old who doesn't even know how his powers work yet.
