The late Queen is rumoured to have owned over fourteen luxury timepieces, making her a true watch connoisseur.

One of the most historically significant watches in the late monarch’s collection is the Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 101. The Queen opted for this dainty watch – a gift from the president of France – for her coronation in 1953.

Launched in 1929, the Calibre 101 brought together traditions of fine jewellery and the expertise of haute horologie into what remains the world’s smallest mechanical calibre. It’s rumoured that the diamond-set Calibre 101 bracelet watch, with its minute dial, was selected for the coronation as it allowed the Queen to discreetly check the time.

Pátek, den blbec.

Sem tam zavzpomínat? No to se hodí. Neštěstí prej nechodí po horách, ale po lidech. Co po lidech, to by eště ušlo, ale pokud to postihne zrovna sebe samotnýho, tak to už přestává bejt prdel. To se pak i pátek může proměnit v jedno velký martýrium. Bohužel. A stačí k tomu tak málo. Vstát tou zapovězenou nohou. No vstát? To by snad nějak prošlo, ale nevstat, tedy zaspat v den velkýho déčka a v pátek k tomu, tak to je fakt den blbec.

Stává se. Začíná to tím, že sladkej spánek neukončí ten nejprotivnější zvuk světa, budík, ale až cizí přičinění. A ta nejstupidnější otázka dne: „Nemáš bejt v tolik a tolik …. “. No to je fakt bžunda když něčí nevinná tvářička něco takovýho vysloví v době, kdy už vlastně nic jinýho než nestíhat nemůže nastat. To jdou i všechny poznatky z horologie do kytek. A to je jen začátek.

Jasně, že hned po startu se začne řetěz blbejch náhod jen prodlužovat. A že pro tentokrát bez problému nastartuje auto? Pyrrhovo vítězství, páč hned na prvním semaforu, kde je červená a normálně by se dalo zatelefonovat, den blbec pokračuje. Mobil zůstal doma. Výmysl? Kde že. Ale co, sprintuje se dál, jen teď už i bez spojení. A bez hodinek. V těch totiž došla baterka a následná prokrastinace zvítězila. No nic, nějaká časomíra je zabudovaná i v palubce. Sice pořád ukazuje letní čas, ale stačí.

Samozřejmě, že červená je jediná barva, která  při dohánění ztracenýho času na semaforech svítí. Čím jen mohlo takový ráno skončit? Nehlubokou, ale rozlehlou louží, kterou profrčel autobus MHDéčka přednim i zadnim kolem a notnou dávku té zčernalé, mastné a hnusně smradlavé kapaliny bleskurychle přemístil na, do té doby obstojně vypulírovanej, vohoz. Nepravděpodobný? No to by se to jmenovalo den výmyslů a ne tak jak tohle. Pátek, den blbec.
