Also @ my it takes Sharena to break free from the "Gustav was a good man/Father" Askr family unreliable narrator hivemind. That the Main Reason she can't/doesn't is because it's the One Thing that's protecting her. That's stopping her from having a catastrophic world/life fucking breakdown about it. Heavily influenced by her brother and mother's feelings about it.

There's something else, I think Sharena is specifically protecting herself from too. She was Triandra's sister, too.

My cross to bear is that I didn't like most s2 of ST Pr○ and the story and execution is a hot mess if you take a good look 😞

#it sucks because it didnt have to be but they gave people creative control that nosedived it #i dont want to hate it either i was rooting for it but sit down and look at the story and its easy to see they didnt really #understand what made s1 good #references regression and pride fullfillment is all i see in s2 and it sucks #they gave chakotay a little more room to move and at what cost? 10 freqing years of his life just gone. why? who made that decision without #reflecting on the implications of that? worse is that no one cared about it. not even janeway. things like that neglected for more Wesley #they put their plot and main characters aside to restore faith in a character that had nothing to do with s1 #the time travel was an absolute mess but don't worry it works guys because we had our characters say wibbly wobbly LOL #why do that when there were better ways to get this season across the finish line. simplify and be confident.#the smaller stories are beautifully directed and all that but the plot with the loom and wesley horribly suffocated everything #im tired of people lying about how good this season is #god i could go on...#people are really stupid ive noticed

Every single year at the worst fucking moment the brain weevils attack and make doing anything besides the most mind numbing activities super impossible. My brain feels itchy, and I don't think I should be physically aware of it but I am. I'd really like to be able to write all these lab reports, but doing so is like trying to walk through the 1919 Boston Molasses Flood, and I keep making two and a half steps of progress before having to pull my feet from the sludge so I can sit on a ledge to rest and also try and beat the flies buzzing around my head back with a newspaper
