hello!
even i'm surprised that i updated and it didn't take me two or almost three weeks, but here it is!
i'm so happy for the recognition the story is getting, truly, thank you so much beautiful people, i hope you like this chapter a lot too. i'm looking forward to your comments!
After what happened… there was a total change of behavior between you and Aemond.
Even that same day after he didn't drop you off at your house because you told him that Alysanne would be the one to drive you, that night he texted you that there was a party at one of his friend's house.
You didn't reply right away, you just watched the message appear on the top of your screen silently and did nothing.
And after a few minutes he texted you again telling you that if you didn't want to go with him, he was fine with it. And you just texted him back a short; have fun!
But still, you couldn't help but feel completely different, with this strange feeling and a knot in your stomach at having this distance with him.
But he didn't text you again for anything else.
Even also on that same day you saw Helaena, who told you again how sorry she and her mother were still. You also saw Aegon, but he just kept walking, acting completely unconcerned and as if the dinner had never happened.
And now, with things weird and distant with Aemond, today is the trip to Dragonstone.
You assume that you and Aemond will continue to pretend, since there was never a definitive statement where both he and you said you would no longer pretend. But since that night he told you about the party, he and you haven't spoken again.
There's really no plan for the trip. You don't even know if he and you will do this together, as a couple. You just don't know anything.
But you recognize that the two of you made a contract that includes the Dragonstone trip and also ending the fake relationship until graduation. So you prepare yourself despite the circumstances.
Besides you won't be alone, as Alysanne has also signed up for the trip, who just now is keeping you updated on all the things going on in her life as you both drag your respective suitcases along.
"But I don't know if I should say yes to him yet."
You let out a sigh, already feeling tired as you feel the weight of everything in your suitcase. But you can't really blame yourself because it's an all-weekend trip to the beach, so you should have brought everything you needed.
"To who?" you ask with the breath you're gathering, as you tighten your grip on your suitcase.
"Didn't you hear everything I said?" she inquires, "To Cregan."
"Ah… and why don't you know?"
"Well, you know…" she gives you a knowing look, "I don't know, he seems too perfect to me and there must be something wrong with him," she raises her index finger at you, "And he's too popular for my liking."
You frown, still walking as she does, heading toward the buses in the school parking lot that will take you all to Kings Landing port.
"Wait," you say confused, "So he already asked you out?" you look at her slightly surprised, struggling to keep up.
"Yeah," she says casually, "But I don't know."
"Oh come on," you look at her serious, "He's very nice, handsome, funny and a gentleman."
But she grimaces, showing her skepticism.
"Not exactly my type."
You roll your eyes, amused.
Then you both stop behind a line of people waiting to board one of the buses while one of the teachers notes on a list the students' attendance by asking for first and last name, so you have to wait.
"I think you should go out with him," you say, turning to look at her.
"Uhh…" she stares into the void, thoughtfully and doubtfully, "I don't know, bestie."
"He's a good match," you try to convince her, encouraged, "Besides he's already completely crazy about you."
"That's the problem," she sentences, "I'm not looking for a serious relationship right now. It seems better to me that we both just go out, have fun together and nothing else, no strings attached."
"He probably won't refuse the idea," you shrug, "But tell him and don't leave him waiting with his hopes high."
She snorts, gesturing with her hand.
"He's a man. I'm sure he can handle me never giving him an answer."
You let out a laugh.
"Don't be mean, Alysanne."
"What?" she looks at you innocently.
"Come on, you can do better than that."
"No, I don't think so."
You both let out a laugh now and are about to say something else to him, when a third voice interrupts you in conversation.
"Y/N?"
The two turn their heads and walking towards you, it's Aemond, with a somewhat unsure and nervous posture, which is totally unusual for him, but he's still watching you completely attentively.
He's wearing a white t-shirt and a black jacket over it, which makes him look ridiculously good for a common outfit. But what also catches your attention is how he has a silver chain sticking out from around his neck.
And God… why are you suddenly so nervous about being in front of him?
"Do you have a minute?"
You look uncertainly at him and then at Alysanne, having no idea what to say, further increasing your nerves.
"Hum—
"Go," Alysanne says to you, "I'll wait in line for both of us."
"Oh… all right."
You reply, smiling a little in her direction, only to walk over to Aemond and both of you step back a little so you can talk more privately.
And it's at that moment that your heart starts beating like crazy and you bite your lips, crossing your arms over your chest, nervous and a little… embarrassed.
"Listen," he starts to say, in a low and soft voice, "I just want to say that I'm really sorry for the way I reacted the other day," he tells you sincerely, "I'm sure I made you feel uncomfortable and to some extent trapped but believe me that was never my intention. Nor was it my intention for things to get weird between us."
"Yeah, yeah, I understand, don't worry," you nod, trying to hide your nerves and trying to look unconcerned, you too wanting to put this behind you, "I'm sorry too for trying to end it all that way."
"No, it's not okay," he assures you, "I just didn't understand anything and got frustrated," he admits to you gently, "And that wasn't right of me. Now I know how overwhelmed you must have felt with everything that happened."
"I-I guess I got scared and that was the easiest way I could think of to end it all when that wasn't right on my part either. After all… we have a contract—
"The contract thing doesn't matter," he interrupts you with a nonchalant gesture, placing a comforting hand on your shoulder, "The important thing is that we're both okay and that we don't distance ourselves from each other."
You nod in agreement, feeling a sense of relief at hearing his words.
"Yeah, you're right."
"So… everything good?" he asks you completely attentively.
"Yes, all good," you assure, wanting to put any misunderstandings behind you.
He is about to say something when one of his friends calls out to him from the line to board the bus.
"Aemond!"
You both turn your heads and his friend along with the teacher in charge watch him intently from the bus doors.
"I need to see your signed permission form, son," the teacher tells him.
He nods and goes back to watching you.
"I'll see you inside," he says before walking away towards his friend and you nod.
You walk back with Alysanne to the line and watch Aemond just a few feet in front of you, talking to the professor, and then he and his friend carry their bags up to the bottom compartments of the bus, eventually moving up the line.
And God… this is the sense of relief you so desperately needed to finally feel. Knowing that you're going to do this with Aemond, all about Dragonstone, relieves and excites you.
However, you should have assumed that even then things would get weird, because the feeling doesn't last long when you see Floris approach Aemond and the two of them start talking.
At first you don't think anything of it, but then, you see the way Floris approaches and behaves towards him.
A tingle of jealousy begins to bubble deep in your stomach as you watch the two of them talk. You also watch as some students watch the two of them and then you, standing apart, with curious and mischievous looks, surely waiting for the drama.
It's as if everyone knows what Aemond and Floris once were, only to then watch you, the new girlfriend, fade into the background after Floris has returned to school.
And Aemond's behavior towards you comes back to your mind.
He himself told you that he did not expect to see her again, so on another plane and in other circumstances, if Floris had not left the school, you are absolutely sure that Aemond would have required her help, totally.
And this between him and you would never have happened.
And maybe… Aemond is still interested in Floris, just as she seems to be still interested in him. But he can't do anything about it because he already has an agreement with you, he's stuck with you.
This relationship is fake, remember?
Your mind tells you, since for Aemond it's not real, but rather pure convenience, just an act, but for you… it's getting harder and harder to ignore the feelings that arise inside you.
Is it possible that your feelings are more real than you have allowed yourself to believe?
You watch as Aemond seems to want to subtly pull away from her to have his own space, but Floris moves closer again, as if they both share something that only the two of them know and that's why she has the confidence, even though he has a girlfriend, to act that way with him.
Which only makes you more annoyed and jealous.
But finally the line starts to move forward and you decide you won't give it any more thought. What's the point of worrying about something that, in theory, isn't real?
You board the bus behind Alysanne, where everything inside is full of excitement and energy, with students talking and laughing as they settle into their seats.
Then your gaze almost instantly meets Aemond's as you look at the seats, sitting in one of the first seats with the seat next to him empty, watching you intently and with a small smile on his lips, clearly waiting for you.
The temptation to go sit next to him is strong, but you decide to ignore it and keep walking behind Alysanne, passing him. And that instantly makes him react.
"Hey, hey," he quickly stands up and gently takes you by the arm, watching you with his soft gaze reflecting bewilderment, "Where are you going?"
Your nerves dissipate and you try to come up with a good excuse.
"Hum… you know, to sit with Alysanne," you point to your friend.
He follows your gaze but frowns, confused.
"But don't you think we should sit together?"
You stay silent for a few seconds, watching him intently and nervous, trying to come up with a better excuse. But he speaks again, trying to convince you.
"I packed snacks for both of us on the way and thought maybe we could watch a movie or something."
"Maybe on the way back," you say with an apologetic look, feeling the weight of his gaze on you.
And he frowns slightly, his gaze reflecting a mixture of disappointment and confusion as he tries to understand your behavior.
The two of you a few moments ago spoke, the two of you apologized to each other and you especially said that everything was okay or not? That's what keeps him confused, not understanding why the two of you are suddenly continuing this distancing, noticing your efforts to pull away from him.
"Come on," he insists, "Let Cregan sit with her."
"I'm sorry, Aemond," you say, "But I promised her I'd sit with her."
He seems to want to argue back, but you waste no more time and finally walk past him, moving away from him straight toward Alysanne in one of the seats almost at the back.
Aemond with a serious look sighs resignedly, feeling the disappointment inside, confused and with disillusion, not really understanding anything.
And when you arrive together with Alysanne, just as you take your seat, you look back to where Aemond is with a worried look and at that moment Floris appears, stopping in front of him with a small sweet smile on her lips.
"Will someone sit here?" she asks politely even though she already knows the answer, her tone with a familiarity that makes you stir in your seat.
Aemond turns his gaze back to you with a mixed expression of seriousness and disappointment before answering Floris.
"No," he replies with some annoyance, dropping back into his seat with a droopy attitude.
Floris complacently takes a seat next to him and you watch everything from afar, telling yourself that this is all a bad idea, with a swirl of emotions all over you.
So all the way to King's Landing port begins, where you distract yourself listening to music and avoid looking towards the seats where Aemond is with Floris.
At all times you feel this uncertainty and this unpleasant feeling that does not leave you in peace, even makes you feel sad, but Alysanne by your side manages to distract you in some moments.
Until you finally arrive at the port and in organized groups, the teachers make sure that all the students board the ferry that goes directly to Dragonstone.
Everyone around you starts taking pictures and videos of the wonderful view the ferry offers of Blackwater Bay, excited to get to Dragonstone.
And you start looking for Aemond with your eyes, finding him leaning on the ferry's railing with one of his friends next to him, both talking, but he has a more thoughtful expression as he gazes out at the ocean.
Despite being surrounded by people and his friends especially, he is distant. And you know he's like this because of you.
For one reason he asked to talk to you and clear up what happened between the two of you. You assured him that everything was fine and then pushed him away.
But can you really blame yourself?
You're fucking scared.
And for a reason Floris acts that way with him, because whatever there once was between the two of them, it's not over yet, you can feel it. And you have no right to reproach him for that because this is not real.
Still… it's better for you to start slowly pulling away from him and put on a show when it's really necessary. But how will you be able to do this together when things are like this?
That's why the uncomfortable feeling on the bus persists and Alysanne tries to distract you by taking pictures of the view, a selfie of the two of you together or by herself.
But despite these efforts, you can't stop thinking about Aemond and watching him from time to time.
Until the ferry finally docks at Dragonstone Island and the students begin to walk ashore with their suitcases in hand, full of excitement and high expectations for what awaits them this year on site.
And since you have never visited Dragonstone before, you watch in complete awe and amazement as the majestic and imposing modern castle stands before you almost on the water's edge.
It looks like a living museum, offering the relics of Old Valyria and its history, paying homage to the ancient house Valyria, a royal family that once ruled Westeros with the legend of having tamed dragons in their Reign.
The entire castle is made of stone, as well as its surroundings and all it has to offer.
And once inside, everything is majestically structured and spacious, with architecture of royalty, preserving that touch and the one that many decades ago a royal and powerful family lived here.
With a male guide, who is also chaperon of this 'excursion', he welcomes all the students and begins to guide them through the main corridors of the castle.
You are amazed to see the numerous display cases with ancient swords that had forged the history of the Valyrian house, as well as other possessions, be they wardrobes or jewelry of gold, silver and other precious stones.
There are also portraits of the ancient Kings and Queens who had ruled, as well as portraits of princes and princesses with the name, date of birth and date of death.
Being your first time in this place, it is obvious that you are excited compared to other students who have come here before and just want to have fun.
But you sense how the atmosphere is steeped in history and mystery. So you can't wait to learn more about this history that was in an ancient and legendary world.
"For those who don't already know, there are various activities you can do during your stay on the island," says the guide man, "You can enjoy the beach and swim in our crystal clear waters, but you can also dive with professional instructors to explore the coral reefs and marine life, as well as we also offer surfing lessons for beginners."
"I want to try surfing," Alysanne says next to you, without both of them letting up, and you watch her in surprise.
"Really?"
"I don't plan to dive, I feel like I'll go crazy with claustrophobia with so much suit and gear on me, not to mention you can't talk," she tells you with a grimace, "And swimming is so boring. I want something more exciting."
"And you can handle that?"
"Please, I can handle anything," she says with a certain superiority, making you laugh, "And what do you plan to do? Obviously not surf but then what?"
"Hum…" you think about it for a moment, "I don't know, maybe I'll visit the huge library and learn more about the history of this place and the whole Valyrian family."
Alysanne looks at you completely expectantly and showing you how much your answers have bored her.
"Are you serious?"
"We also offer a tour of our small aquarium located in the depths of the castle, where you can see a variety of fish and sea creatures," he man goes on to mention, "And lastly, we offer rides on our yachts and scooters along the coast, there are also paddle boarding lessons along our peaceful canals that meander through the island."
You look back at Alysanne beside you.
"Or maybe I'll join the paddling classes," you say with a shrug.
But that only makes Alysanne look at you like you're a hopeless case, sigh, and continue moving on, not telling you any more about your plans or she's afraid it will make you feel bad.
And you let out a little laugh, since of course you also want to enjoy the beach and also want a yacht ride.
And as all the students continue to move forward and you along with them, you still feel the tension between you and Aemond, who is moving a few meters ahead of you with his friends.
Despite the beauty and excitement of Dragonstone, still this uneasiness continues to weigh on your being.
Tumblr media
First night at Dragonstone and you've already been left alone.
Alysanne stated that she wanted to enjoy the luxurious bathtub in the room to immerse herself in a relaxing spa experience, so that's what she's doing now before starting the rough activities tomorrow.
And meanwhile you're stealing snacks from the huge kitchen since you've prepared one night of movies for yourself, which isn't a bad plan.
So with your pajamas on, you go back to the room, thankful that you didn't have any awkward encounters with anyone. In fact you were hoping to run into him, but that hasn't happened and you have no idea where he must be.
So with your snacks in hand and in the huge hallway where your room is located, you struggle a bit to open your door with your hands full, when someone enters the same hallway where you are.
"Hey Y/N."
You turn your head and meet Cregan, causing you to place a smile on your face in his direction.
"Hey Cregan."
He watches you with a small amused smile.
"Do you need help?"
"Well, I-I…" you try one more time, but everything is about to fall out of your hands, "Yeah," you finally agree.
He helps you with your snacks and also opens the door for you, then watches you curiously.
"Are you preparing one night of snacks and probably watching movies with Alysanne?"
"No," you reply laughing softly, "No, I—
"Ah, so you're going with Aemond to the hot tub," he interrupts you in a casual tone, assuming.
Confused by that revelation, you try to process the information, but before you can even pretend and react, which you really don't and remain silent like a fool, he notices and looks at you slightly confused.
"Oh, well... on my way here saw him alone in the hot tub and thought you were going with him."
And just then it happens.
Something snaps inside you.
An overwhelming sense of need overwhelms you from head to toe, you can't help it and you can't take it anymore.
You need to talk to someone about the truth and release everything you've been accumulating these past few days. But you know that if you do that, you would be breaking a contract rule.
But the thought of still holding all this in and not being able to talk to anyone about what's really going on is unbearable.
Alysanne would freak out and you have no one else to talk to. It's not like you have a lot of friends. So thinking hard, you quickly map out a plan in your mind and decide to confide in Cregan.
"Do you have a moment?" you ask with a lump in your throat.
Cregan gets confused and looks hesitant.
"Well, I—
"Alysanne is relaxing in the tub, she won't be out of there for a while and I really need to talk to someone about this," you plead.
And that's enough for Cregan to walk into the room behind you as he sees your face like you're about to explode and you tell him everything.
And God, it's a complete relief to be able to speak freely, without the pressure of keeping up the farce.
And you start by explaining to him why you decided to fake a relationship, and then tell him these feelings that you can't ignore anymore, as well as explaining everything you're feeling about Floris and how things are between you and Aemond.
And by this point, Cregan is very comfortable sitting on your bed, eating from your snacks while you wander around your room talking freely about everything that comes to your mind and he listens attentively.
"I'm completely crazy, aren't I?"
You watch him completely frustrated and looking for support, as the ideas and thoughts keep coming uncontrollably into your mind.
"I mean, this is fake," you clarify, waving your hands as you speak, "This wasn't supposed to happen, he just asked me for help and I asked for something in return to accept. And he clearly doesn't feel the same way I do."
You look at him in exasperation, worried.
"And I know I acted wrong with him this morning on the bus but—" you sigh, "You should have seen how he reacted when he saw Floris at school again. This whole thing with Aemond probably wouldn't have happened if Floris hadn't left school, it's obvious there's still something between the two of them and that makes me feel… so upset and so jealous when I shouldn't!" you exclaim frustrated, "And I find it best to just stay away from him so I can stop feeling all this and my big mouth won't even think of telling him how I really feel."
"Y/N—
"I'm right, right?" you don't let him speak, watching him completely intently and worriedly, "I'm crazy."
Cregan smiles softly in your direction in an attempt to comfort you and shakes his head, as he takes another bite of a chocolate bread.
"No, not at all," he replies sincerely, "You're just being honest with yourself and me."
You stop in front of him, fiddling nervously with the fingers of your hands.
"I had to blurt it out," you say dejectedly, "I'm so confused. And you have to promise not to tell anyone," you tell him instantly.
"I promise," he tells you instantly too, nodding.
"So what do you think?"
He lets out a long breath before answering, watching you calmly and quietly, preparing in his mind what he will tell you next, while you wait desperately and anxiously.
"Listen, I think it doesn't matter that the two of you have been pretending all this time, but Aemond likes you, a lot."
He assures you and your heart leaps, parting your lips and watching him completely intently.
"I've seen the way he stares at you—
"Have you already forgotten that all this time we've been pretending?" you interrupt him in exasperation.
"And you think you can fake a look of love if he's not really in love?" he asks you, expectantly.
You let out a sigh, bringing a hand to your forehead, massaging your temples.
"That doesn't matter, I feel he still has feelings for Floris and I'm just another fool who fell in love with Aemond Targaryen," you look at him hopelessly, "And if you think about it, it's embarrassing."
"Okay, let's analyze the facts," he says confidently, incorporating himself better on the bed, "The fake relationship was his idea, you set most of the important rules and you're the one who wants to end the relationship, but you're here locked in your room preparing a movie night for yourself alone while he's waiting for you in the hot tub," he tells you condescendingly while pointing at the door with his thumb.
You watch him completely attentively, almost hesitant and unsure, thinking about it.
"And if you think about it precisely, yes, Aemond and Floris had something but it was nothing serious, he later went back to Alys and now that he erased Alys from his life, there is you and no one else," he explains to you, "Floris' return means nothing because he could have told you that it was better to end the fake relationship when he saw her again, but he didn't tell you anything, it was you," he assures you, "And yes, maybe you fell in love first, but eventually he also fell in love with you and harder."
Cregan's every word hits you like a wave of revelation, making you rethink your perceptions and doubts.
Maybe, in the midst of all this confusion, conflict and your doubts, Cregan is right.
Maybe Aemond really is in love with you, despite the fake relationship, Alys and Floris… maybe he is and the thought is as overwhelming as it is comforting.
If so… then what will happen?
You don't know but wanting to find out excites and scares you at the same time.
"Do you think he's waiting for me in the hot tub?" is the only question you can utter out of the thousands in your mind, watching him hopefully.
"Of course," he gives you an obvious look.
So you waste no time.
You leave on your pajamas of silk shorts with a tank top of the same fabric and throw a coat on over them. It's not really cold but the air here on the island is frosty enough for you.
And as you step outside a part of the castle where the hot tub is located, with your heartbeat echoing in your ears, you are greeted by a cool, salty breeze that caresses your skin.
The hot tub area is illuminated by a series of lights hanging from the ends of the trees, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere. But what stands out the most is the blue light of the hot tub.
And there you see him.
You focus on the lone figure of Aemond as you move forward, who has his back to you, gazing off into the horizon, thoughtful while also distracted by the bubbles the hot tub is making around him.
You pause for a moment, watching him from a distance, feeling a strange mixture of excitement and nervousness fluttering in your chest.
The silver chain around his neck shines with a soft glow from the blue light, adding a touch of mystery to his profile, just as his white skin glows slightly from the glint of water on his skin.
The sound of the hot tub echoes in place, as well as the ocean waves outside and with nerves blocking your mind, you finally approach him, with quiet determination.
"Mind if I join you?"
You say to him with some insecurity and in a soft tone, hugging yourself, nervous and attentive.
Aemond turns his head towards you and his eye meets yours.
And if his gaze reflected surprise, he quickly turns back to an unexpressive face and without saying absolutely nothing to you, where you also tried to smile a little at him, he turns his gaze back to the front.
And you don't let it get to you, at least not yet.
"What? Now you're going to ignore me?"
And thankfully that's enough to make him talk to you. At least a little bit.
"Oh now I'm the one ignoring you?" he retorts bitterly, without even looking at you, "That's funny."
And he continues to turn his back on you, without saying anything else, to which you let out a long breath and without giving up yet, thinking about what Cregan told you and also considering your feelings, you approach him.
With hesitant steps, you climb the steps leading to the entrance of the hot tub and approach the edge, feeling the warmth of the water and the gentle steam rising in the air.
Feeling Aemond's gaze on you, you take a seat on the edge and dip your feet into the water as you return his gaze, which makes your heart pound in your chest again.
He is completely beautiful.
And the words don't come out of your mouth as you are hypnotized for a moment watching the flashes of light on his serene face with his flawless skin and those features that make him look so handsome.
But you finally focus.
"Well, I'm sorry this is my first trip here and I have no idea how to do the activities when you didn't even offer to guide me," you foolishly try to justify yourself.
"Oh and now I'm supposed to guide you after you ignored me on the bus?" he inquires.
You feel the blood rise to your cheeks and look away for a moment, embarrassed.
"Well, I thought I should do you a favor," you admit sheepishly, not really knowing what to say.
And you just had to say that?
Your mind reproaches you.
"Favor?" he repeats in confusion, "What favor?"
"It's obvious Floris is still interested in you," you explain, "And you and she had a thing in the past so was it better for her to sit down with you or not?"
Fucking fool.
Your mind keeps reproaching you, but you don't know why you had to say that either!
And you know it was really bad as Aemond makes a gesture of exasperation on his face and shakes his head as he averts his gaze from you and stretches out both arms to the edge of the hot tub.
"You know?" he starts to say in a frustration-laden tone of voice, watching you "For being such a good student… you can be really dumb sometimes."
You frown, bewildered by his words.
"What?"
"I wanted to sit with you, Y/N," he tells you in exasperation, wanting to make you understand, "Not with Floris or anyone else, just you," he says, his tone softening as he looks at you intently.
Oh.
Yes, oh.
Now you feel stupid and of course you should feel exactly that way.
And as Aemond's words echo in your mind, you feel a mixture of emotions inside you.
On the one hand, a sense of relief and joy finds its way into your chest as you hear his sincere words and know that he wanted to be with you. But you are also overcome with a slight embarrassment at your initial lack of understanding.
And because of the same nerves and how stupid you still feel, a soft laugh escapes your lips at his confession.
"So, Floris…
You let the words float in the air, as you watch him with that insecurity in your gaze.
"Floris was just a one time thing in the past. She doesn't interest me anymore," he assures you gently and firmly, completely honest.
You both remain silent for a moment, only hearing the bubbling of the hot tub, where you mostly admire how the blue light reflects all over his body and face, looking so fucking good.
Not to mention he has no shirt on.
You can feel the electricity in the air as he watches you with his face softer compared to a few moments ago, there's also almost adoration and hope, all just the same way you're watching him.
Then you break the silence.
"I'm sorry I didn't sit with you on the bus," you say sincerely.
And he makes a nonchalant gesture with his hand.
"It's all right."
And once again, silence envelops you as you both sink into the intimate and complicit atmosphere that surrounds you.
Then once everything has been 'cleared up' somehow, you sit up and take off your coat, to begin soaking in the hot tub along with him, causing him to watch you attentively and in confusion.
"You're going in your sleeping clothes?" he asks in a doubtful tone.
"I didn't bring a swimsuit," you reply, stopping in front of him and allowing yourself to enjoy the shared quiet and intimacy along with the warmth of the water.
You watch as his gaze sweeps over your body, mostly focused on watching the way the water envelops you in just the same way he does and you don't stop, as you position yourself right in front of him, your face inches from his.
And already starting to feel a little embarrassed by his burning gaze on you, you say the first thing that comes to mind.
"You know, I've never seen you without that chain," you say, feeling your knees bump against his thighs.
He smiles slowly, showing off his perfect aligned white teeth, marking each cheek with his beautiful dimples, having a knowing glint in his eye that is reflected as he inspects your face.
"It's part of me," he replies, in a soft, deep, husky voice than usual that sends shivers down your spine, "But I think I might make an exception tonight."
And before you can fully comprehend his words, you feel Aemond's hand on your thigh from under the water, sending a surge of electricity through your body.
Surprised, he makes you sit on his lap, while his other hand rests on your waist, drawing you to him gently but with remarkable determination, surprising you and making you feel instantly nervous.
You place your hands on his shoulders, seeking stability, as you watch him with your parted lips, seeing that the space between the two of you no longer exists.
The intensity of his gaze and the softness of his face take your breath away for an instant, reminding you why you are drawn to him in the first place. And a mix of emotions overwhelm you as you realize how much you've been longing for this moment.
Then you both shorten the little distance that separates you and finally you feel the sweet contact.
With no one around, no one else's eyes on you, just the two of you alone here, you kiss.
A slow and deep kiss, where you feel Aemond's lips soft and warm against yours, making you let yourself go and move closer to him if possible, taking one of your hands to caress his cheek.
And his body responds to your caresses, pulling you closer towards him as if he can't get enough, settling better into his lap and tilting his head to the side, deepening the kiss, where his hands run down your back, causing his touch to cause electric currents through your body.
Then you both pull away a little with a wet sound from their lips and you watch him directly into his eye, unable to believe this is actually happening, where Aemond breathes through his mouth and brings one of his hands up to your cheek, watching you intently and with that lazy smile.
"What?
With a small smile on your lips, you shake your head.
"Nothing," you reply in a soft tone and that makes him smile a little more, starting to trace your cheek with his fingers and your face with his gaze.
"You don't know what you're doing to me, love," he murmurs against your lips, his voice hoarse, "The way you make me feel… it's indescribable."
His words wash over you like a comforting warm wave, spreading throughout your chest and causing a sensation to settle in your lower abdomen.
His hand on your thigh slides all over your skin, producing shivers as he pulls you even closer and your whole body trembles slightly from the intensity in his desire as he shortens the distance again and his lips seek yours with a hunger that matches what you are feeling.
And in that moment there is no doubt or hesitation, only the overwhelming certainty of the connection that exists between the two of you. And just like him, you let your actions speak for you and everything you are feeling right now.
You deepen the kiss, as you lose yourself in the intoxicating rhythm of his kisses and your fingers gently glide over the skin of his face and run along the contours of his jaw.
"This wasn't in the contract," you murmur against his lips, agitated.
"No, it wasn't," he tells you just as agitated as you are, catching your lips with his again.
Then your other hand comes down on his bare chest, tracing his muscles and feeling the heat of his skin against yours, sending an electric shock that ignites a burning, fierce fire throughout his body.
Aemond moans against your lips and brings one of his hands to the back of your neck, tilting his head and holding you exactly where he wants you, while his other hand travels between the skin of your thighs and your lower back.
Then you decide to move on top of him and his breath hitches as he feels your movement and you too feel a tingle in your crotch.
Both he and you can feel the tension grow between the two of you and suddenly it is as if the world has vanished, existing only him and you with this moment of pure connection and desire.
And with each caress, you feel yourself falling more and more under the spell, lost in the intoxicating, indulgent pleasure you begin to experience. And with his heart beginning to pound, his caresses become more daring and urgent.
You too move with more purpose on top of him, beginning to feel a bulge grow just below your nerve center that caresses him and makes you feel so good.
"Do you want me to stop?" he asks against your lips.
"Please don't," you sentence, kissing him again.
You gasp against his lips and you both begin to gasp, feeling Aemond's chest rise and fall every instant, just like yours. And with the warm, comforting water enveloping you both it only makes it feel better.
You run your hands through his hair, pulling it away from his forehead to lean into him and continue kissing him as you continue to roll your hips on top of him, when he pulls away from you and begins to leave a trail of wet kisses from your cheek and down to your neck.
All your skin bristles and you let your head fall back, giving him more accessibility.
"Fuck," he murmurs hoarsely into the side of your neck.
And you lean into him again, kissing him, wanting to feel the caress of his lips on top of yours.
But then when the need and desire begins to build to a pace where Aemond thinks he won't be able to stop afterward, he decides to stop right there, pulling away from your lips and making you stop moving.
"Wait," he says to you in a low, husky tone, breathing through his mouth.
You look at him slightly confused, just as agitated as he is.
"What's wrong?" you say with your heart pounding in your chest as you take a deep breath.
He tries to catch his breath, closing his eye and resting his forehead against yours, still holding you above him.
"We can't," he says with some frustration.
You force yourself to take a deep breath, beginning to feel confusion and uncertainty invade you, watching him intently.
"Why not?" you ask in a whisper, still leaning into him.
He lets out a long breath through his nostrils, clearly fighting against the hardness beneath his shorts and keeping you on top of him in a way where you don't touch him or he'll go completely insane.
But his silence only makes you worry and think things that really aren't.
"Or is it that you don't want to do it with me?" you ask fearfully and with embarrassment starting to creep up on you.
"What?" he quickly looks at you, "No, no, that's not what I mean, of course I want to do it with you," he answers you quickly and completely honest, "But we can't do it here."
He points his gaze around you, to again look only at you with that intensity, revealing a mixture of his desires and his inner conflicts.
Oh.
A sense of relief washes over you as you realize it's not rejection, but concern for the circumstances.
"Ah… right," you say with a mixture of embarrassment and relief, also briefly glancing around you, "Sorry, I hadn't thought of that."
Aemond looks at you tenderly, his gaze softening with a mixture of desire, vulnerability, and what you think is love reflecting in its depths, then pulling your face towards him again.
"It's okay, we'll find another time," he assures you, his tone comforting.
You smile softly as you place your hands on both of his cheeks and he kisses you deeply again, causing you to melt into his arms and let yourself be completely carried away.
You feel embarrassed by your misunderstanding, but also grateful for his concern and consideration.
And you don't know exactly how long you both lasted inside the hot tub, just kissing and nothing more, occasionally playing with the bubbles, sharing an intimate and special moment together.
"I missed you," he murmurs against your lips, leaving a soft kiss that makes you smile.
"Me too," you confess, kissing him again.
And though desire still burns between the two of you, you both know it's best to wait and save that moment for a more private and suitable place.
Tumblr media
You still don't know what the fuck happened.
But what you do know is that you went to sleep with a silly smile on your lips and at dawn, you put the same silly smile back on your lips as you remembered everything that happened.
However, surprise and fear also flooded you after remembering exactly everything you and Aemond did.
The two of you were going to have sex.
You were going to have sex with him in a hot tub.
You didn't even care about anything, the fact that they were out in the open, the fact that you weren't physically or mentally ready or even the fact that you and he weren't even real boyfriend and girlfriend.
But you wanted to do it, God, you wanted it and badly.
He was even the one who had to stop everything when on another plane, you probably would have done it, but no. You weren't thinking, you were completely drunk with pleasure and now shame is the only thing you feel all over your body.
You can't even tell Alysanne because of the shame and because you know she won't stop laughing at you. You even plan not to leave the room to avoid running into him. But Alysanne makes you go with her to her first surfing lesson.
And ready for the day as you walk with her down the stairs to the main lobby, you think about how if things with Aemond were already weird and awkward before that moment, now the two of you won't even be able to see each other's eyes.
But to your surprise, that's not what happens.
There are several students and teachers already in the lobby when you see his characteristic silver hair, but before you can react and even think, Aemond walks towards you with a small smile as soon as he sees you and kisses you, surprising you since you definitely didn't expect that.
And of course you noticed the look Cregan gave you both, but more to you specifically, but you just told him with your look that you will talk to him about everything later.
And so you start your activities in Dragonstone, with Aemond.
Of course you first keep Alysanne company in her surfing lessons and after she is totally focused on that, you and Aemond spend time together.
Under the golden sun, painting the horizon with warm hues and golden sparkles on the ocean waves, you both enjoy a walk along the shore of the beach, enjoying the salty air and the sea breeze that envelops you.
You talk about everything and about almost nothing at the same time, him being the first one to dare to hold your hand while you enjoy your little walk, making the blood rise to your cheeks and you enjoy like every teenage girl in love these little moments.
Then you both play a game of volleyball, where you both laugh and have fun as you immerse yourselves in the game.
And clearly from running around so much in the intense sun and getting almost sweaty, you get the idea that you both should swim a bit and surprisingly Aemond doesn't refuse the idea, even though he doesn't know how to swim, but you offer to teach him.
In a gray two-piece bikini, you lead him out into the waves, explaining how to move in the water and breathe properly, causing him to begin to gain confidence and enjoy the sensation of being carried by the waves.
But of course after that would come the laughter and playfulness, both laughing and talking while enjoying the sun and the salt water.
And in that moment, the fun turned into an intimate moment as Aemond holds you by the waist, pulling you closer to him. There is a silent intention in his gaze as he touches your skin with his burning hand and you don't pull away, on the contrary, you lean towards him.
You wrap your legs around his torso and his lips press against yours in a deep kiss, losing themselves to each other in the middle of the sea.
And when you both separate, you look at each other with a mixture of shyness and affection, while Aemond places a damp lock behind your ear, feeling a pleasant sensation that he can't quite describe envelop him, especially at the moment when you again leave a soft, tender kiss on his lips.
And with beaming smiles on your faces, you both get out of the water and go upstairs to your rooms to bathe and change your clothes.
But then the two of you meet again and he accompanies you to explore the castle together, marveling at the ancient relics and all the history that surrounds the place.
He also accompanies you to the library to take some photos and to the roof terraces where you get magnificent views of the whole island.
And as you both move through the exhibits, Aemond more than anything couldn't resist hugging and kissing you, expressing his affection in every gesture and you of course didn't mind.
And in the castle's aquarium, you both find yourselves surrounded by fascinating sea creatures, sharing tender moments together as you watch the fish swim around.
The sea creatures seem to dance in the water, their bright colors and movements mesmerizing you as you walk among the tanks.
"You are beautiful," he murmurs against your lips, watching you with that bright glint in his eye as he watches the reflection of the sun and water on your face, creating an aura of serenity and beauty around him.
The blood rushes up to your cheeks and you smile shyly, feeling so silly.
"You are beautiful too, Aemond Targaryen."
You lean towards him and leave another soft kiss on his lips that he reciprocates instantly, taking you by the waist and bringing you completely closer to him, wanting to keep touching and kissing you.
But you both continue the little tour holding hands, where you also take pictures together and of everything you see around you, wanting to capture these moments.
And even though he and you haven't really talked about anything, this doesn't feel like you're both pretending. This feels real and you like the way it feels when you are with him, being completely honest and genuine with your feelings.
Then the day goes on as normal and as expected, after doing all the educational activities in a certain way, it's time for the party.
"There will be my friends, Cregan, my sister and well, Alysanne if she wants to come too," Aemond tells you as you both head towards your rooms.
"I'll convince her to go," you assure him.
"Okay, I'll see you in fifteen minutes then."
"All right," you smile at him.
He leaves down a different hallway from the one you're heading down since each of your rooms are separate and you're focused on getting ready for this party.
You don't know how, but he and his friends have arranged to take a yacht for the night. Obviously they are not going to ride around in it with the night sky, but apparently they have everything ready for everyone to drink and enjoy a while.
Fortunately you convince Alysanne and the three of you soon arrive at the yacht that is stranded in the west harbor of the island, where Aemond's friends are already there, getting everything ready.
Then the music plays, the LED lights turn on and the drinks begin to be served.
Sitting on Aemond's lap, you didn't think you'd have as good a time as you're having now, laughing and talking to everyone, occasionally hugging and kissing him.
And fortunately nothing unfortunate or unpleasant happens, there is only the company of your friends and you enjoy Aemond's presence, clinging to him at every opportunity, hugging him and singing some songs with him like everyone else, having a good time.
And fortunately in the following days there is no activity you don't do with Aemond, even now if you go for a yacht ride, where you can perfectly see some students and also Alysanne practicing surfing.
You also cheer up with the scooter ride, just like him, completely enjoying the moment and the experience.
And you honestly don't want any of it to end.
general taglist:
You want everything to continue to be perfect.

It could no longer be denied nor be overlooked. It was growing painfully obvious to the court that the only daughter of Princess Rhaenyra has had her head turned by the second son of Queen Alicent. Everyone believed that the only thing the second-borns of the Princess and the Queen would share was animosity. Still, the return of Princess Rhaenyra and her kin to the capitol brought something different— something entirely unexpected. It started with stolen glances around the tilt yard and the halls of the red keep. Stolen glances lingered throughout dinner and the trial. Meeting in the library by chance turned into secret rendezvous. Banter and teases blended into meaningful conversations. Animosity turned to affection. Loathing bloomed into love. A love that cannot be.
“You look lovely, today, niece,” Aemond complimented as he caught you in the gardens. The prince relished the sweet blush that spread through your cheeks. “Shh, you might be heard,” You whispered in concern as your brothers were only seated a few leagues away. He hummed and dared to twirl your silky, curly hair into his fingers. “Shall you join me for a ride today, uncle?” You asked and took a flower into your delicate hands. You turned to the silver prince, who had a small, rare smile as he peered down at you. You boldly placed the plucked flower into the upper pocket of his tunic. “If you wish,” He answered, making you bite your lip as he stepped closer. “To the dragon pits then?” You asked, and Aemond offered his arm for you to take, and you gladly did.
Prince Daemon stood above the gardens and watched the scene with a sneer. He had been stewing in rage, fear, and uncertainty for the past few weeks. You could no longer be reasoned with. In his eyes, you could never do no wrong. You had never done anything wrong— his favorite daughter was perfect. But apparently, your return to the capitol had caused you to make a lapse in judgment. Trusting a Hightower spawn was a great mistake on your part. You, his smart and sweet daughter, have been corrupted and manipulated by the one-eyed bastard of a son of the bitch that had the title queen. It pained the Rogue prince, but he had to take extreme measures to ensure that you would never be bound and be played by a Hightower spawn.
You rode the skies next to your uncle. A wide smile on your lips and laughs, leaving your tongue as he playfully chased you through the clouds. His Vhagar may be the largest dragon there is, but she is also the oldest. Whilst your dragon had the quickness and agility of youth. “You’ll have to try harder than that, uncle!” You yelled in glee as you heard his frustrated groan when he lost you through a cloud. “I will catch you, little niece— and you shall give me my prize when I do,” He answered back, and you laughed in glee as your dragon rode through a cloud, making your stomach flip. “That is if you shall succeed!” You yelled before urging your dragon to fly faster and further from the prince.
The afternoon sun started to fade, bathing the two of you in the orange hue of the setting sun, and it was then that Aemond finally caught up to you. When you landed by the pits, you were quickly grabbed by the waist. Entrapped in the arms of an uncle you used to loathe. “I demand my prize, little niece,” He murmured by your ear. You feel your heart stutter, and at the same time, you feel conscious as the two of you may be caught. “I demand my kiss, princess,” he said, and you feel your breathing shallowed by his words and the sound of footsteps approaching. You two were luckily hidden behind the body of your beloved dragon. “Tonight, meet me in the library and you shall have my kiss, my prince,” You said and reluctantly urged him to let go of his hold of you.
When the two of you turned to the reason for the footsteps, your brows furrowed as you were both met with a gold cloak. “Can we help you, Ser?” you asked as Aemond cautiously assessed the trusted man of your father; stepping in front of you as if the knight would harm you. “Princess, I was sent by your father to escort you back into the keep.” He bowed and answered, but that did not aid your confusion. “It’s fine; I shall ride back to the keep with my uncle,” You answered, but the knight insisted that he had a direct order from the Rogue Prince that you shall return to the Red Keep under his supervision. “Just go; I shall ride behind you,” Aemond finally spoke after a moment, guiding you to the wheelhouse and glaring at the knight who interrupted the supposed private moment between the two of you.
When inside the castle walls, you were greeted by your father and eldest brother as you disembarked the wheelhouse. “I see you have met Ser Adam,” Your father remarked at the knight who helped you step out of the carriage. “He shall be your sworn protector,” Prince Daemon added, his gaze turning to a prince who greatly reminded him of himself during his youth riding, following closely behind you. “Sworn protector? I— I do not believe there is a need fo—“ Your father cut you off, taking your arm and stirring you further from the one-eyed prince who dared to step closer to you after he had disembarked his horse. “You are the only daughter of the heir to the throne— of course, you need protecting. Ser Adam shall be constantly by your side, and he shall report back to me and your mother for any potential threat that arises.” You looked back, confused, locking eyes with Aemond, who had his jaw clenched as he conversed with your brother.
“So I take it that my sister and brothers have their own sworn protectors as well?” You asked, feeling that you were singled out by your father’s sudden paranoia about your safety. “They too shall have one… in time,” He mumbled the last part, making your head snap up at him. “But in the meantime, Ser Adam shall oversee your ventures and activities. No more venturing out in the halls in the dead of the night alone. He shall be there by your side if any danger arises while you are in the dim walls of the library,” Your lips part as you realize that the knight was placed as a buffer, a wall between you and Aemond. You bit your tongue and made no further comment about the matter for now.
When dinner came, you were excited because it meant that you would be in the presence of Aemond once more, enveloped in quiet conversation with the prince who sat by your left. But a frown adorned your pretty face once more as your seat beside Aemond was removed and instead placed cramped between Aegon and your elder brother. You hear Aemond’s familiar footsteps approaching; you turn to him as your brother guides you to your new place. Aemond knew exactly what they were doing. His jaw tightened as they had been keeping you from him. He knew he should have been cautious with his affection when out in public, knowing it would not be received well. But how could he restrain himself? How could he control himself when you are near?
Throughout dinner, the two of you were silent, missing, and already longing to be by each other’s side once again. The prince’s face was filled with annoyance, his lips in a thin line. You held a look of solemnity, and a pout adorned your plush pink lips. Daemon turned to Jacaerys, the two of them satisfied with their tactics in keeping you and Aemond out of each other’s company.
After dinner, you hear your newly assigned knight trail behind you as you walk the path toward the library. You sighed as you heard the clank of his armor. “You can stay by the door, Ser Adam,” You say as you approach the silent room, Aemond already waiting for you in your favorite spot. “I am afraid that I cannot abide by your orders, princess,” He said, and you bit your tongue; you could not let out your frustrations upon him as he was only ordered by your father. You took your seat across from Aemond; the prince eyed the knight who stood behind your chair.
“What is he doing here?” Aemond asked in ancient tongue, annoyance seeping through his tone. “My father has instructed him to follow me wherever I go… instructed him to report back all of my ventures,” You answered and played with the embroidery of your fine dress as your pals for the night with Aemond were now ruined. “They are keeping you from me,” Aemond gritted, his hand clenching in anger. “And why should they do that?” You asked with a tilt of your head, moving to take hold of his hand, but the knight behind you cleared his throat as if a warning. You sighed and licked your lips and clamped your hands in front of you. “Because they are scared— threatened that…” Aemond caught himself before he uttered the deep truth he had realized just a week after you had returned. “That what?” You asked in common tongue. Aemond sighed and shook his head, but there was a ghost of a smile playing on his lips. “That I would burn for you, little light. That we are dragons that need to be bound by blood.”
Tumblr media
You, being the watchful eyes of your sworn protector, did not last long. Aemond had commissioned some of the guards to pick a fight with your knight, and it left him bloody, bruised, and bedridden. Buying the two of you a small amount of freedom in each other’s presence before your father could find a replacement.
The two of you were in the godswood, hidden behind the white, ashy trunk of the Weirwood tree, away from anyone’s view. Aemond laid his head on your lap as you read a book written in the language of your house, him listening intently to your honey voice as it read fluent Valyrian. “You still have not given me my prize,” The prince suddenly said as you paused from reading. You turned to him, gazing down at the serenity on his handsome face as he lay on your lap.  One of your hands intertwined with his and resting atop his chest. “What?” You asked, feeling your stomach flip at the intensity in his eye. “You still have not given me my kiss,” Aemond said, voice growing deeper and more serious.
You tried to laugh it off, moving your intertwined hands to your lips and kissing the back of his hand. “There,” you say, but Aemond sat up from his position. “That is not the kiss we discussed, princess,” He whispered, face inching forward to yours. You feel his cold hand on the apex of your neck and shoulder, pulling you in and sending gooseflesh to rise all over your skin. “Just one kiss,” You whispered as his lips were so close to yours, his scent of cedar wood, mint, and leather so intoxicating. “We’ll see,” he said and smashed your lips. Your heart stuttered for a moment, feeling his warm, soft, wine-tasting lips upon yours. It was supposed to be only a chaste kiss, you knew you should pull away, but as Aemond placed his hand on your waist and pulled you close, you knew you did not have the strength nor want to do so.
Unbeknownst to you, your secret actions with your uncle were caught by your eldest brother, who did not hesitate to run to your mother’s husband to report the scene. On how yours and Aemond’s lips danced, on how you grinned at each other as you acted to catch your breath, gazing at each other love-struck. On how your kiss under the scarlet leaves of the ancient tree had only solidified your emotions and deepened your desires for each other.
You were soon called to your mother’s chambers later that afternoon. “No, please! Please, you cannot do this to me— why… why would you marry me to him?” You cried to your mother as they announced that you were to be sent to the North as a bride for its warden. It was the extreme measure your father had to take to keep you away from Aemond. Sequestering you into the frigid wasteland just so a one-eyed dragon would not lay more of its claim on you. “You had promised me I was free to choose whom I shall marry!” You cried in front of them, knowing your tears had always been your trusted weapon to bend them to your will. “I’m sorry, my love… but, the crown needs allies… a union with Lord Stark is vital.” You shook your head, “The North is already sworn to you! You need not promise me to their lord,” You countered. “It was a decision your father believed had to be made, and it is to—“
Your mother’s words faded out, and you could only focus on how it was your father’s orders to offer you to a lord you had not even met. His cruel way of keeping you from Aemond. “My father is dead,” You suddenly gritted out, silencing your mother in shock as you said the bitter words. Though you were a product of Ser Harwin Strong, and the kingdom was made to believe that your paternity came from the line of Ser Laenor— neither of those men were fathers to you. Not like Daemon was. It stung you to say such words, but you were overly hurt that he had made such a decision just to keep you from the prince you loved.
“My father is dead; how could he have made such a decision?” You asked and dug your fingernails into your palms. Your mother sighed as you and Daemon stared each other down. “Daemon made the decision,” She clarified. “You are heir to the throne, but you would let a prince consort dictate the future of your only daughter?” You asked, menacingly. Watching the way your step-father’s jaw ticks at your impertinence. He did not know how to handle you in such a state; you were never one to rebel, but what was there to rebel against when everything you had ever wanted was quickly given to you?
“That is beside the point, my love; you still need to marry.” Your mother said, and you shifted your gaze to her. “I know! And I am happy to do so just as long as—“ Daemon cut you off. “Just as long as what?” He asked, “Just as long as it will be Aemond.” You proclaimed. “I wish to marry him, and he wishes to marry me as well! You are the only one against this!” You all but screamed with a stomp of your foot. Making your father roll his eyes and disapprovingly shake his head as they had filed you up with their lies. “You see, Nyra… look at how they had manipulated our daughter… they filled up her head with falsities— this had been their plan all along.” Daemon reasoned to your other, who looked in between the two of you with concern and cluelessness on how to proceed.
“Look at how they corrupted her… arguing, yelling, insulting us just to defend their disfigured son. They are playing her!” he spat bitterly. “Do not call him that,” you gritted to Daemon as he uttered offense toward Aemond. There was a silence that enveloped the room before you finally spoke once more. “Father, please… I love him,” you pleaded, ready to beg on your knees just for you not to be sent as a bride for a wolf. Daemon looked at your eyes, sincerity in your orbs, gut-wrenching sadness as pearl tears ran through your cheeks; that still did not sway his mind. “The decision is made. You shall be Cregan Stark’s bride.” He stated and walked off, leaving you to cry and wail in your mother’s arms.
Tumblr media
Aemond eyed you with concern as you sat dejectedly in your place next to your brother and his. Your head hung low, and not once had you cast your enchanting eyes upon him— or anyone else for that matter. His hold on his knife is tighter as he realizes you have not a bite of your supper. His gaze went murderous as he finally saw your bloodshot eyes and trembling lips. They had made you cry. He turned to your father, a harsh look on his face, whilst your mother looked at you wistfully. Aemond then turned to Jacaerys, a smug look on his plain face.
As supper ended, Aemond was the first to leave the table. He made fast steps and entered your chambers to hide there, needing to speak with you, and he was certain that would not be possible whilst you were in the presence of your kin. He hid behind the pillar as he heard the door creek and your somber voice bidding Lucerys ‘good night.’ When he heard the door shut and bared, he made his presence announced.
It was then that he saw a clear view of your state: eyes swollen and red, lips trembling, nose sniffling, soft cheeks flush with sadness. “My light… what has happened?” he asked. You said no word, only ran to his arms and let you hold him as the tears came like rivers once more. “They’re… they’re marrying me to Cregan Stark,” You said in between sobs. Aemond felt the air knocked out of him, his form turn rigged and was immediately filled with dread. “What?” He asked, hoping what he heard was a misunderstanding. “They offered me as a bride to Cregan Stark. He shall arrive in a few days to be presented to grandfather, and we shall leave for the North in a fortnight.”
Aemond sat you down on your plush bed, wiping away your hot tears with his cold fingers. “You will never be his,” he swore, looking deeply into your eyes as your tears did not cease. I shall speak with your parents,” he said and tried to soothe you by running his hand through your hair and caressing your cheek. “Aemond, they wouldn’t even listen to me… their minds are made,” You said sadly. Your prince only shook his head and kissed the top of your brow. “You are a dragon. Wolves do not deserve dragons,” was all he said before kissing your lips again, hoping the action would distract you from your sadness because he could no longer stomach seeing you cry.
“They would never approve of us,” You whispered to Aemond as he held you to his chest. He tried to lull you to sleep, but your mind was distraught. “I do not care for their approval,” he uttered atop your head, inhaling deeply the scent of you. “But—“ You hear Aemond sigh and pull you closer to his leather-clad chest. “You will be mine, my light, just as it ought to be. Forget their qualms and objections— my uncle and his disapproval is a challenge I’ll happily welcome, just as long as you will forever be mine.” He stated as his fingers twirled your hair, “Let us just rest, ñuha ōños,” he murmured, and you did as told. Savoring the first and probably the last time in his hold.

“What are you planning?” Ser Criston asked as Aemond spent more hours in the tiltyard. The arrival of his betrothed had only spurred him to fight harder, train more, and let out his rage at the knights. “Pick your weapon,” was all the prince said as he wiped away the sweat off his forehead. “Tell me the reason for your more frequent sessions first,” the knight stated. Lilac eye flickered above the tiltyard, Aemond's jaw clenching and nostrils flared as he saw you walking around with the warden of the north, chaperoned by your brother. Ser Criston’s eyes followed the prince’s gaze, realization shining through his brown orbs. “My prince, you—“ He was cut off.
“I shall be challenging the warden to a duel for the hand of my niece,” he proclaimed and urged the knight to pick up his weapon. “But she is a bastard,” Ser Criston muttered lowly. Aemond's eye widened, and he had to greatly retrain himself from maiming the knight who stood as his father figure. “She will be my wife.” He proclaimed and returned to his training.
When all were gathered in the throne room to announce their betrothal to Lord Stark, Aemond stepped away from his sibling and drew out his sword, bravely challenging the warden in front of the eyes of the court and his father, the king. You felt your stomach pit in fear, for you did not know that this was the plan Aemond had devised. You had half the mind that he would have the two of you escape to YiTi and live freely there. You hear your father and brother’s disapproval of the duel, but you hear your grandfather’s agreement to it. Lord Stark had little choice but to accept the challenge. You turn to your mother, her lips in a thin line and hands fiddling with her rings, her expression unreadable as he watched men argue before the throne, dictating her only daughter’s fate. She felt your eyes upon her, and she took your hand into hers as fear was evident in your gaze. “It will be fine, my love,” She muttered lowly, but you had trouble believing her words.
When night came, the supposed family supper was discarded as both sides were furious and confused at what had transpired in the throne room. “She will not marry him— I would rather feed myself to Caraxes than watch our daughter marry a spawn of those cunts.” Daemon muttered to his wife and downed a whole chalice of wine, quickly moving to refill it once more. “She loves him,” was all your mother could mutter as she plainly saw the affection in your eyes. “And he loves her,” she added as he saw the tenderness and warmth in her half-brother’s usually cold, lone eye. Daemon scoffed and turned to his wife.
“Not you too— Rhaenyra, you cannot buy into their deceit! You cannot let your daughter be bound to that—“ The princess cut her husband off. “Why? Why are you so against this? Put your pride and animosity towards Otto and Alicent aside… our daughter has made it clear that she wants Aemond— and he, too, made it clear that he wants our daughter. There is no underlying deceit from his intentions… what will they even gain? The crown passes to Jacaerys; Aemond wants our daughter, not for power or whatever reason you had sold yourself to greatly disagree to this match!” Daemon shook his head at his wife’s words. “We need allies. We need the North.” He said, but Rhaenyra shook her head. “You are preparing for a war that may not come— already sacrificing our daughter on the way! And she is right. The North is already sworn to me. A Stark never forgets their oath. And if they need further convincing, my daughter and her happiness is too great a price to pay for them to keep their word.” Your mother defended. She watched as her husband’s jaw clenched and his hold on the chalice grew tighter.
“Daemon, you and I had both been subjected to marriages, not of our choosing, a marriage devised for peace and power but ultimately led to death and devastation… you cannot be so cruel to subject her to such a fate.” Rhaenyra said softly and walked towards her husband, urging him to change his mind. The prince breathed out heavily, “We shall see in the duel if he truly deserves her,”
Tumblr media
You nervously traced the embroidery of your dress as you watched your prince battle with the Warden of the North. Both men still yet to tire as they galloped towards each other with their jousting sticks. You feel your mother reach for your hand as your leg bounces up and down in anticipation and fear. You took in a sharp breath as the Warden was thrown off his horse, and Aemond was quick to disembark his and draw out his sword. You chewed on your lip as you shielded your gaze from the men, your bloodstream filled with fear as you heard the clang of swords and their exhausted grunts. You hear the cheers of the audience grow louder, and you feel bile rising to your throat. You shut your eyes tightly and prayed to the gods and fates for it to end soon— for it to end and for Aemond to emerge victorious.
Your prayers were quick to be answered as you snapped your eyes open at the enraged screams of your brother and father— the prince having the warden on his knees and a sword upon his throat. “Surrender, my lord,” The prince breathed, his eye scanning upwards, in search of you. “Surrender, and you will keep your life!” The prince yelled, and you fisted your dress with each moment the warden did not concede. But when he finally raised his arms up and dropped his sword, lowly saying his surrender, you were finally able to breathe freely. “Our champion, Prince Aemond Targaryen!” Someone yelled, and cheers hollered around you, but they were quick to fade as your eyes locked with the man you can now call your soon-to-be husband.
The wedding was quick to come, no matter the reluctance of your father and older brother. You were marrying Aemond. Other members of your kin were finally accepting the union, seeing how you both were truly enthralled and in love with one another. They no longer held disapproval as they realized how bright and intense you burned for each other.
You were in your chambers, the final preparations made to you as you were about to be bound to the one-eyed prince in the eyes of men and the gods. “You look… you look exquisite, my sweet,” Your mother sighed and cupped your cheeks, her eyes and voice filled with heavy emotion. You tightly embraced your mother as she was the only one who was truly on your side when it came to your union with Aemond. Your heart throbbed melancholically as you were to be married without the support or blessing of the man who had become your father. You walked out of the chambers with your mother by your side, her being the only one to escort you towards the grand doors that would lead you to the great hall where Aemond waited by the end of it. She gave you one last kiss on your cheek before stepping aside and walking towards a side entrance and waiting along with the other guests; absent was the presence of Daemon.
As the banquet went on and your hand was freely clasped around your husband, you tried not to let your sadness be shown as the man who stepped in, as your father was not anywhere in sight. Aemond could feel your sadness no matter how hard you tried to hide it; he brought the back of your hand to his cool lips and hoped it brought you comfort. You flashed him a small smile and leaned in closer, “A dance, my wife?” He asked, his heart stuttering as a genuine smile spread to your lips.
He led you to the floor and placed his hand on your waist. No more secret touches, no more possibility of scandal, for in the eyes of the gods and men, you were Aemond’s, and Aemond was yours. As your husband spun you around and kept his steady hold upon you, your mind was finally distracted by the sadness it felt as Daemon was absent on your most joyous day. The thought of your father did not occur to you as you danced until you and your husband saw him approaching. Aemond was attentive to your reaction as he approached, ready to challenge his uncle for the distress and sadness he bestowed upon you. “I wish to dance with my daughter,” He announced, and you felt Aemond’s hold on your waist tighten; he was about to speak, but you nodded and reassured him it was fine. Aemond reluctantly stepped away, and you were left in the presence of your father.
There was silence at first as you were once again spun for the dance, but you soon broke it. “You did not attend our ceremonies.” You said, voice a tad bitter and resenting. You hear your father’s aggravated sigh. “I know you think he is playing me… I know you believe this whole ordeal is a farce, but it’s not. He loves me, father. And I love him greatly,” You say and urge him to understand. “You— your marriage is something I do not approve of.” You hear him utter, making your stomach pit, “But it is clear that you truly love him…” he trailed, his eye turning to your husband, who had his watchful gaze upon you, ready to come to your aid, the moment he sensed distress. “… And I suppose his intentions are genuine,” he relents. You turn your now hopeful gaze upon him, “I do not believe he deserves you, but if he truly makes you happy, who am I to stand in your way? I will not hinder you anymore.” You processed her father’s words. “Do you truly mean it?” You asked, voice thick with emotion, “I do,” he sighed and kissed the top of your head. You smiled widely as heaviness in your heart faded with the blessing of your father was finally bestowed upon you and your husband.

The Fall from the Heavens (17)
[ dark • Aemond x Strong • niece female ]
[ warnings: angst, swearing, violence ]
Tumblr media
[ description: A cool distance turns into friendship and more when two children see that they can find refuge and understanding in each other. However, naïve dreams collide with the reality in which every event has consequences and what once could have been love becomes a dark, newly painful obsession. Angst, sexual tension, obsession, violence, madness, very dark Aemond. ]
The story in this series is an alternate reality from the oneshot Stay and love, leave and die, in which Aemond reads the letters his niece has sent to him over the years. They are the same characters and it shows what would have happened between them − I have changed the background story from their childhood slightly for the sake of the plot.

_____
Although she feared that her father and mother would hate her, although she suffered at the thought of losing her unborn sister, the day after they returned to King's Landing was the most beautiful day of her life.
After their nightly honest and painful conversation, at last they both shook off the burdens they had carried on their shoulders for so many years, confessing their regrets and thoughts to each other.
After this, there was some kind of change in her husband, as if he had expected this conversation to destroy everything once and for all, to turn them away from each other, when in fact the complete opposite had happened.
It helped.
When he took her on the table that afternoon, when she felt his thirsty, tender touch on her body, she thought that at last things were as they should be.
And then he smiled, lightly and sincerely for the first time since she had seen him years later.
Although they waited in dread for an answer from Dragonstone, this period was also a time of hope for them, the prospect of a peaceful resolution despite the approach of his grandfather and mother filled them with a reasonable calm that allowed them to take a breath.
They did everything they could.
No matter what she thought of her usurper uncle, he, unlike their grandfather, had imposed fair conditions on her mother, ones that she could in fact agree to.
The next day, like every morning, her husband was training in the courtyard with Criston Cole. Although she had been reluctant to poke her nose out of her chamber for the past few days, she now felt better and, encouraged by the beautiful cloudless sky lit by the sun, decided to go outside.
At this hour, as usual, the Red Keep seemed unusually quiet and peaceful to her, with only the guards and servants walking hurriedly past her, trying to keep up with their duties without even noticing her.
She smiled involuntarily when she heard the loud clang of steel and spotted them in the distance walking under the cloisters, just as she had then, as a child, watched her uncle duel. She thought with some kind of pride, watching the sure, swift slashes of his sword, that only Daemon could now match him in hand-to-hand combat.
She felt a pleasant satisfaction at the sight of her uncle pushing against Ser Criston, leaving no one under any illusion as to who was dominating the duel.
Cole knew that her husband had taken it out on him for what he had done to her and forced him to give in every time.
She lifted her chin higher, sighing contentedly as the blade of his sword pressed against his neck, Cole raised his hands in a gesture of surrender.
Her uncle turned the hilt of his sword in his hand and lowered it, a dangerous grin full of mockery and satisfaction on his lips. He stopped in mid-motion, his eye spotting her in the distance, seeming not to recognise her at first, and blinked, watching her from afar.
Encouraged by his attention, she walked down the stone steps into the courtyard, squinting, blinded from the sun, her husband stabbed his sword into the ground, coming towards her with a lazy step.
"What is it?" He asked uncertainly, his face expressing concern and surprise, his eye wide open, as if he could not believe she had left her chamber of her own accord.
"I have always enjoyed watching you duel. Does my husband deny me that pleasure?" She asked softly, saw his Adam's apple wave as he swallowed hard, his lips parted slightly.
"Tis not my desire." He hummed, and she felt a pleasant shiver run along her spine at his words.
She felt as if they were children again.
There was something wonderful about it, something joyful, something that made her feel a renewed desire to live.
She trembled when he tentatively raised his hand, when his fingers touched her cheek, when his thumb ran over her jawline, his eye watching her thoughtfully.
When he leaned in, when he pressed his warm lips to hers in a soft, wet kiss she felt a wonderful heat in her lower abdomen, her heart sang with pleasure, her fingers touched his wrist.
He pulled away from her, looking at her with misty gaze, she could smell his sweat, hear his quiet murmur of contentment as she stroked his cheek with her palm, when her lips placed a soft, butterfly kiss on the tip of his nose.
She knew that Criston Cole, the guards, the servants could see this and it delighted her most.
Though distrustful at first, she agreed after her husband's persuasion to accept an invitation from her uncle to dine with him and Helaena in his chamber.
She felt that in doing so, Aegon was creating a faction inside the faction, showing his mother and grandfather that the fate of what was about to happen no longer lay in their hands.
Although she believed that Alicent did in fact want to protect her children, she did not trust their grandfather and knew that Aegon had no love for him either.
As it turned out, his invitation had a double bottom.
"Furious Borros Baratheon is on his way to King's Landing with his daughter, whom he expects and agrees you should marry. I fear he will regard your secret marriage as invalid and demand that you fulfil your vows." Said her uncle, putting himself a bit of roast from the tray, handing it to his sister-wife, who looked at her uncertainly.
She felt her heart begin to pound like mad, terrified, and looked out of the corner of her eye at her husband, his lips pressed into a thin line.
"It's out of the question." He said coolly, and she felt instant relief at the thought that he hadn't changed his mind.
That he wouldn't betray her.
"I am aware of that, however, the matter is delicate and complicated. I have decided, on the advice of my wife, to simplify it. Today you will marry in the presence of the Septon."
She and her husband looked at each other in shock; the loud conversations of servants and guards could be heard from behind the open window. Aegon took a deep sip of wine from his cup, putting it down on the table with a loud clink of steel.
"The king and queen will witness your wedding. The Septon will write a proper marriage act, which he will sign under threat of losing his head. This will officially settle the matter and enrage Borros Baratheon, but it will also surprise him. I will then offer him a seat on the Small Council for his son and financial compensation, which you, my brother, will cover from your annual income."
Said her uncle, she heard her husband turn in his chair beside her with a loud creak of wood and nod, swallowing hard, playing with his cup in his hand.
She glanced up at Aegon and frowned as she saw their eyes meet. She lowered her gaze immediately, thinking with disapproval that although part of her abhorred him, it was only because of him that there was any hope for her and his brother.
"Do you love him?" She heard his impassive, calm voice, saw Helaena and her husband move uneasily in their seats.
"− Aegon −"
"I am not speaking to you." He replied coldly to his brother, looking at her, stretched out comfortably in his chair.
She looked at him in disbelief and swallowed loudly, feeling her lower lip begin to tremble, tears of pain gathering in the corners of her eyes at his question.
Gods.
"I stayed here for him. I gave myself to him." She muttered regretfully, Helaena quickly grabbed her hand lying on the table, squeezing it in her own.
"My brother has been calling you a little whore all these years. He used to say: she surely fucks with her guards like her pathetic mother." He said softly, cocking his head, curious about her reaction. She noticed out of the corner of her eye that her husband had covered his face with his hand, devastated, his sister cast him a quick, sharp look full of regret.
She involuntarily chuckled at his words, feeling the pleasant evening breeze flowing in through the open windows envelop her heated cheeks.
"I am aware of it. He shared those very thoughts with me the very first evening when we spoke to each other years later." She sneered, Aegon burst out laughing loudly, placing a hand on his stomach, shaking his head in disbelief.
"Indeed, it sounds like something my younger brother would do."
After her uncle shared the details of his plan and informed them of the location of their clandestine meeting, they returned to their chambers to prepare. Her husband escorted her to the door, tense; she could feel that what had been said filled him with anxiety.
"Do you still wish to do this?" He asked in a hoarse voice, as if he thought what he had thought of her over the years and what she had learned might have influenced her decision.
"And has anything changed, uncle?" She answered question for question, saw that he threw her an impatient look in which relief lurked at the same time.
"No."
"Then you have your answer."
As promised, Helaena brought her one of her rich gowns. Being a prisoner in King's Landing, she only had a few of her garments, as the rest of them were left in Dragonstone. Her aunt helped her comb her hair, forming a bun from some of the curls at the nape of her head, surrounded by braids, letting the rest flow freely down her back.
The gown she'd brought her was gold, with open, exposed shoulders and wide sleeves slit at elbow height, its cut perfectly emphasising her pleasing figure. Looking at herself in the mirror, watching as she put pins with gold pearls into her hair, she thought that this was not how she had imagined her wedding day, but she felt happiness nevertheless.
She knew that this time it would look the way it should.
Her aunt had put a plain grey cloak over her shoulders and placed a hood over her head, hiding her attire that might arouse suspicion. Looking straight into her eyes, she thought with warmth in her heart, squeezing her hand in her own, that during this time she had been watching over her, being there for her during the hardest moments of her life.
"I am grateful to you for everything you have done for me. I wish your husband would give you what you deserve." She muttered, stroking her skin with her thumb, wanting to show her in any way that she also wanted her happiness. Helaena stroked her shoulders, turning her head, her gaze dreamy and calm, her lips curved in a gentle smile.
"He is the father of my children." She said softly, folding her hands on her womb, looking somewhere far away thoughtfully. "And it is only the fate of our children that matters."
They left her chamber together, not speaking to each other, heading ahead along the corridor. Just as they suspected, they came across guards who wanted to know where the princess was taking the prisoner.
"To the king, as ordered by him."
"Queen Alicent has commanded that she not leave her chamber after dark."
"I am the queen, Ser."
The guard swallowed loudly, looking at his companion, and then nodded, letting them pass.
Helaena grasped her hand, turning suddenly, leading her down a steep staircase into an underground lit only by barely smouldering torches.
It was rare for anyone to go down there, judging by the smell she concluded it was a former larder. She shuddered as she heard a rat run past her feet and swallowed loudly, wondering how Aegon had found this place and what he was doing here.
After a moment they emerged from the dark corridor into one of the chambers where she spotted three figures − a man of similar age to their grandfather dressed in modest grey robes tied at the waist with a cord, next to him stood Aegon and her husband, she swallowed loudly seeing his attire.
He wore a dark red tunic with gold ornaments in the shape of writhing dragon heads, she had never seen him in such colours before.
Neither Green nor Black, just like her.
Their marriage was supposed to be beyond division, a symbol of reconciliation.
For some reason she felt distress and anxiety, as if this was indeed her first wedding, her hands trembling as she untied the knots of the cloak she had pulled off with the help of her aunt, her golden gown shining in the firelight. She saw her uncle-husband's pupil narrow at this sight, he swallowed hard, trailing his gaze across her entire figure, tense.
She looked uncertainly at Helaena, and she nodded, so she gathered her courage and moved ahead, this time of her own accord, fully aware of what this entailed by going to marry the man she thought she had lost forever.
She involuntarily breathed through her mouth as she stepped in front of him, playing with the fingers of her hands in a nervous gesture, looking straight into his eyes, the expression on his face a mystery to her, his gaze seeming to almost burn her, piercing and dark.
She felt the Septon cast an uncertain glance in Aegon's direction, and he nodded, ordering him to begin. The man grunted quietly and turned to her husband.
"You may now cloak the bride and bring her under your protection."
She saw her uncle swallow heavily, turning towards his elder brother, who handed him a golden cloak embroidered in shiny red thread with their family crest. With a sweeping gesture, her uncle placed the cloak over her shoulders, her heart beating like mad, she was unable to look away from his face, hearing in her mind his words spoken in rage to her father.
She is my wife.
Who her father was no longer matters, for she belongs now to my family, for our children will bear my name.
She heard him swallow hard, clearly filled with extreme emotion as much as she was, she sighed as he took her hand in his, lifting it up.
"We stand here in the sight of gods and men to witness the union of man and wife: one flesh, one heart, one soul, now and forever. Cursed be he who would seek to tear them asunder."
Said the Septon tying their entwined hands with a ribbon, thus symbolically uniting them for eternity.
She could not believe that this was really happening.
"In the sight of the Seven, I hereby seal these two souls, binding them as one for eternity. Look upon one another and say the words." Said the Septon lowly, and they looked at each other, breathing loudly, clutching their fingers tightly.
"Father,
Smith,
Warrior,
Mother,
Maiden,
Crone,
Stranger
I am hers | I am his
and she is mine | and he is mine
from this day, until the end of my days."
They both fell silent, hearing the echo of the words they had spoken spread around them, looking at each other in disbelief.
She could see that his lower lip was trembling, his nostrils twitching in accelerated breath, his eye wide open, red with emotion.
He should say that he was sealing the marriage with his kiss, but it seemed to her that he was unable to get anything out.
He was moved.
This thought, the thought that he really craved this, that he had really waited for her for so many years, hating and desiring her at the same time made warm tears one after another flow down her cheeks, she pressed her lips into a thin line feeling her breasts rise and fall in quick, ragged breaths.
And then he did something she hadn't expected, which was sweeter and more tender to her than any kiss.
He drew her to him, locking her in a desperate, strong embrace of his arms, his fingers digging into her skin hidden beneath the thin material of her gown, cuddling his face into the hollow of her neck.
They were husband and wife.

Aemond took a deep breath as he stood in front of your bakery. ‘The Faun Cottage’ was the name of your store. The display window was decorated with beautiful green leaves and antique books which served to hold cakes and baskets of bread.
He was dressed in a light white shirt with a leather jacket, black jeans, and super comfortable Doctor Martens, which he wears almost every day. His long hair was tied in a low ponytail.
Looking down at the watch on his wrists, he saw it was 2 pm already. “Here goes nothing,” he murmurs as he walks into the bakery. “You better be right, Aegon.”
The scent of fresh bread and coffee along with a sweet herbal smell hit his nose like a train. Inside the shop, it was warm and cozy. Green vines are climbing the walls into the ceiling and some ancient runes are painted on the stone walls which looks like a mix of cottage core with Celtic/Viking vibe. A faint medieval music played in the background. It looks like something from an ancient era.
There are some people seated eating their food, others reading or working while drinking their tea or coffee.
“Mommy! Mommy! My Prince is here!” Emily’s voice echoed through the shop, grabbing his attention. This time she was dressed in a simple brown dress with some hand-painted runes on it. Her black hair was braided, and two small antlers rested on her head.
Aemond smiles down at her and kneels to shake her tiny hand. “Hello, Emily.” He greets her gently. “And what do you suppose to be today?”
She gives him a little twirl and grins. “I’m a druid! I talk to animals and cure people's booboos with my magic!” The girl grabs his hand and pulls him towards the door behind the counter, saying a quick hello to the guy who was attending to a client.
Aemond chuckles and lets the girl guide him. “Hmm, I see.”
Emily opens the door and leads him inside. It was an office by the looks and by the desk full of papers and a laptop, stood a very stressed woman.
“Mommy! Look who’s here!” Emily chirps happily.
You looked up from your papers and gave him a tired smile. “Aemond... I’m happy to see you. Please take a seat.” You try to make your office table more presentable, putting all the paperwork in cases. “Sorry for the mess. It’s been a busy day. Maria needed the day off so I took over her work and... it didn’t go well.”
Aemond sat on the wooden chair in front of you while Emily went to the corner to play with her plush animals. “It’s no problem... Here’s my papers, all the training I did.” He gives you the case. “By the way, you have a lovely bakery. Very creative.”
The grin you gave him made Aemond’s heart almost burst out of his chest. Your eyes brightened at his compliment and how the dimples on your cheeks made you look so cute and innocent.
“Thank you! It was a lot of work to make it the way I imagined but it was worth it.” You say taking a seat on your chair. “So, shall we start with the interview?”
Aemond nods.
“Okay! So, your brother said you had experience with children. Your nephews, right?” Aemond nods again.
“Yes, my sister's children. Twins, a girl, Jaehaera, and a boy, Jaehaerys, of 8 years old, and toddler of 2 years old, Maelor.” Aemond smiled gently at the thought of his nephews.
You took notice of his gentleness as he talked about his nephews, which made you feel more relaxed with the idea of him taking care of Emily.
“They all have beautiful names.” You speak. “I’m not going to lie but it seems you are perfect for Emily. You have basic first aid training and CPR certifications.” You look down and read his papers. “Also, it seems Emily is already attached to you.”
You nod towards your daughter, who has her gaze fixed on Aemond while she plays. Aemond grinned at her which made the girl giggle and run towards him, showing him her favorite plush animal.
You pull up the documents for him to sign and put them in front of him. “It seems you got the job! You can read the agreement and then sign down here.” You smile. “I drive her to her school every morning. So, 3 pm you can go pick her up and she is all yours until 7 pm when I get home.”
Aemond nods and signs the paper. Opening the drawer beside you, you take a small notebook along with a key.
“Here.” You give him the book and key. “In here you will find all her allergies, her school, and our apartment address. That’s the key to our home.”
Aemond takes the book and the key from you, his pale fingers brushing gently against yours. “Thank you, Y/n.”
The way your name rolled through his tongue made your loins curl in a familiar feeling. You cough and look down to your laptop, a faint blush adorns your cheeks. Get a grip, Y/n!
There’s a small pregnant silence between you too. Aemond admires the way your face flushes so easily. Even tired, you look beautiful.
“Huh... Well! Ready for your first day?” You stand up and smile, trying to end the awkward silence.
Aemond also stood up, looking down at a very excited Emily. “Ready as I can be.” He gently grabs the girl's hand while putting her backpack on his shoulder and walks out of the office with you following close behind.
You kneel and give a big kiss on your daughter's cheek, making her giggle excitedly. “Have fun and behave.”
“Yes, mommy.” She grins and kisses your nose.
As you stand up, Aemond quickly pulls his wallet out and takes his business card. “I completely forgot to you give my card.” He says with an apologetic gaze. “My phone number is there in case you need something.”
You nod and take his business card. Emily pulls Aemond’s hand and jumps up and down. “Can I have an ice cream on our way home? Pretty please?”
Aemond looks in panic at you to which you laugh. “Yes, but only this time. Alright?”
“Yippe!” Your daughter squeals happily and pulls Aemond’s hand again. “C’mon! C’mon! Let’s go!” Aemond chuckles and lets the girl guide him while waving a small goodbye at you.
You waved back and watched them turn around the block, disappearing out of sight. You feel tears stinging in the corner of your eyes, the feeling of your daughter's absence drives you to panic.
“Deep breath, Y/n.” You whisper to yourself. “She’s going to be okay.”
Taking a deep breath, you look down at the business card in your hand. Your eyes widen as you see a familiar red logo. A three-headed dragon.
“Wait! He’s THE Aemond Targaryen??!!”
I hope you guys like this chapter!! Feel free to like, comment or reblog!

Aemond T. Yandere A-Z
Tumblr media
(For the multiple people who asked for a Yandere Alphabet for our favorite little War Criminal)
Tumblr media
A stands for AFFECTION: how would they show affection?
•Aemond is a gift giver to the extreme
•From the moment you found out about your betrothal to your Uncle, you had been receiving gorgeous dresses, fantastic shoes and jewelry you could never have imagined wearing. All of the jewelry you were gifted containing large sapphires in the necklaces or earrings, staking the One Eyed Princes claim on you
B stands for BLOODY: how bloody are they willing to get for their object of obsession?
•He loves getting bloody on a normal occasion so getting bloody for you would be a joy for Aemond

As Vaelys cried out in agony, her voice piercing the air with the intensity of her pain, Vermithor, let out a thunderous roar that shook the very foundations of Dragonstone. His mighty roar seemed to echo the anguish of his rider, a primal cry that reverberated through the castle walls.
“Aemond” begged Vaelys her voice filled with desperation and longing. She knew he couldn't be with her, not now, not while he was in exile but still, she couldn't help but yearn for his presence, his strength, his love.
Rhaenyra and Helaena exchanged worried glances, their hearts breaking for Vaelys in her moment of need.
“I want AEMOND” screamed Vaelys, as she clutched at the sheets beneath her with white-knuckled fists, her breaths coming in ragged gasps as she fought against the agony that threatened to overwhelm her.
The sound of Vermithor's roar filled the birthing chamber, drowning out all other noise with its raw power and intensity. It was a sound born of empathy and solidarity, a testament to the bond that existed between dragon and rider.
Helaena knelt beside Vaelys' bed; her touch gentle as she reached out to grasp her hand. There was a warmth in her eyes, a silent reassurance that spoke volumes more than words ever could. In that moment of shared vulnerability, Helaena offered Vaelys the comfort of her presence, a silent reminder that she was not alone in her struggle.
Meanwhile, Rhaenyra stood on the other side of the bed, taking Vaelys' other hand in hers. Her touch was firm yet gentle, a grounding force amidst the storm of emotions that raged within her daughter's heart.
"You are stronger than you know, my dear," Rhaenyra said, her voice filled with conviction. "It might not seem like it now, but you can do this. You have the strength and the courage to face whatever comes your way."
"Aemond should be here," she sobbed, her words choked with anguish. "I need him-I can't do this without him."
The weight of her longing bore down on her, the absence of her beloved husband a gaping wound in her heart. Each wave of pain only served to amplify her yearning for his presence, for his strength, for his love.
"He should be the one holding my hand” cried Vaelys.
Rhaenyra clasped her daughter’s hand tighter, but her gaze fixed on a distant point beyond the confines of the birthing chamber. There was a tension in her posture, a guardedness in her demeanour, as if she held secrets too weighty to share.
"I know how much you long for Aemond to be here with you in this moment. He would give anything to be by your side, to share in the joy and pain of bringing new life into this world, and even though he can't be here physically, his love for you knows no bounds. He carries you in his heart, just as you carry him in yours” said Helaena, her words carrying a soothing warmth.
"Now I need you to focus your strength, Princess” urged Maester Gerardys, his voice a steady anchor amidst the tumult of emotions that swirled around them. "It's time. I need you to push."
With a guttural scream that echoed through the chamber, Vaelys pushed with all her might, her muscles straining against the weight of her labour. The roars of Vermithor outside grew louder and more intense, as if echoing the pain and determination coursing through her veins.
Helaena held tightly to Vaelys' hand, her own fingers trembling with emotion as she offered silent strength and support. Rhaenyra leaned in close, pressing gentle kisses to Vaelys' furrowed brow, her words of encouragement lost amidst the cacophony of noise.
The sheets beneath Vaelys were stained with blood, a stark reminder of the battle being waged within her body. Exhaustion threatened to overwhelm her, every fibre of her being screaming for respite. But still, she pushed, drawing upon a wellspring of inner strength she never knew she possessed.
And then, with one final, push, the babe emerged into the world, a tiny, wailing bundle of life. Vaelys collapsed back against the pillows, her chest heaving with exertion, tears of relief streaming down her cheeks.
Helaena's eyes widened in awe, Rhaenyra's breath caught in her throat, and even Vermithor's roars seemed to falter in the presence of the miracle before them.
"It's a boy," Maester Gerardys announced, his voice filled with wonder as he cradled the newborn in his arms.
As Vaelys gazed upon her son for the first time, a rush of emotion flooded her heart as she whispered, her voice barely a breath, "A son, Aemond-we have a son."
The babe was a vision of beauty, with silver hair that shimmered in the faint light of the birthing chamber and eyes the colour of amethyst, mirroring that of his father. In that moment, he looked the very image of Aemond.
As Rhaenyra and Helaena gathered around Vaelys and her newborn son, their hearts overflowing with love and joy, they knew that their family was forever changed. For in the face of new life, hope blossomed anew, filling the chamber with the promise of a brighter future for them all.
Rhaenyra's eyes shimmered with pride and joy as she looked down at her grandson cradled in her daughter’s arms.
"What are you going to call him?" she asked, her excitement palpable.
Vaelys' smile widened as she gazed upon her newborn son, her heart overflowing with love. "Daevyn," she replied, her voice filled with warmth. "It means freedom”.
The significance of the name was not lost on Helaena, who shared a knowing glance with Vaelys. Daevyn was the name that Aemond had chosen for a son before Sovia was born, he saw it as s symbol of hope and resilience.
Helaena's smile grew as she reached out to gently caress her nephew's cheek. "Prince Daevyn Targaryen," she declared proudly, her voice filled with pride.
Sovia, with her bright eyes and messy silver curls, toddled into the room, her tiny hand gripping a plush dragon toy tightly. She paused in the doorway, her gaze fixed on the bundle nestled in her mother's arms.
"Sweet girl," Vaelys whispered, her voice soft with affection, as she gestured for Sovia to come closer.
With cautious steps, Sovia approached her mother and the newborn babe, her curiosity piqued. She reached out a chubby hand, her fingers gently brushing against Daevyn's tiny fist.
Daevyn stirred at the touch, his eyelids fluttering open to reveal bright, amethyst eyes that mirrored Sovia's own. A faint smile tugged at the corners of his lips as he gazed up at his sister with wonder.
Sovia's face lit up with a radiant smile as she giggled with delight, her laughter filling the room like a melody. She leaned in closer, pressing a gentle kiss to Daevyn's forehead before settling down beside her mother to admire her new baby brother.
Vaelys' heart clenched with a mixture of longing and sorrow. She cradled Daevyn closer to her chest, her thoughts drifting to Aemond, who was still far away in exile.
In that bittersweet moment, Vaelys couldn't help but wonder if Aemond felt the same ache in his heart, the same longing to be with his family. She whispered a silent prayer, wishing for their reunion to come swiftly so they could share in the joys of parenthood together.

Vaelys walked along the sun-kissed shores of Dragonstone, the soft sand beneath her feet yielding with each step. Daevyn nestled snugly against her chest in a sling of cloth, his tiny breaths warming her skin with each exhale. Beside her, Sovia skipped along, her hand clasped tightly in hers, their footsteps leaving imprints in the sand.
Helaena strolled beside them, her three children darting ahead, their laughter mingling with the gentle lapping of the waves. Jaehaerys, Jaehaera, and Maelor chased each other along the shoreline, their playful antics painting the air with joy.
Behind them, Daeron kept a watchful eye, smiling as he observed his nieces and nephews.
As Sovia giggled and darted off to join her cousins in their playful chase along the shoreline, Vaelys couldn't help but pause for a moment, her gaze drifting across the vast expanse of the sea. A pang of longing tugged at her heart as she wondered quietly to herself: Is Aemond okay?
Sensing her turmoil, Helaena stepped closer, her presence a comforting anchor amidst Vaelys' inner turmoil. With a gentle touch, she wrapped an arm around Vaelys' shoulders, offering silent solace and reassurance.
"He's okay, Vaelys," Helaena murmured softly, her voice carrying the weight of conviction. "Aemond is strong, and he will come home to you".
Vaelys drew a shaky breath, her worries momentarily eased by Helaena's words of comfort. She leaned into her good sister's embrace, finding solace in the warmth of her presence.
Vaelys turned around and a flicker of panic shot through her chest at the sudden absence of Sovia. She scanned the beach frantically, her eyes darting from one spot to another, searching for any sign of her daughter amidst the swirling chaos of laughter and waves.
"Sovia?" she called out, her voice trembling with worry, the sound of her own heartbeat thundering in her ears.
Vaelys' heart pounded in her chest as she rushed over to Daeron, desperation etched into every line of her face.
"Daeron, where is she?" she demanded, her voice tinged with fear.
Daeron's expression mirrored her concern as he met her gaze, his eyes scanning the beach in search of any sign of Sovia.
"I... I took my eyes off her for just a second," he admitted, his voice filled with regret. "I didn't see where she went."
A surge of panic washed over Vaelys as she processed Daeron's words. She clutched Daevyn closer to her chest, her heart racing with fear for her missing daughter.
“Silver and wing, together the two will sing, an egg for a King” muttered Helaena her voice carrying a cryptic note that gave Vaelys pause.
Before Vaelys could question her further, a sudden roar pierced the air, reverberating through the surroundings with an intensity that sent shivers down her spine.
Their attention snapped to the source of the sound, their eyes widening in awe as a shadow passed overhead. Against the backdrop of the sky, the silhouette of a dragon emerged.
“Silverwing” exclaimed Vaelys her heart skipping a beat as she watched the beautiful silver dragon land on the beach with a thud.
But her wonder quickly turned to panic as she heard Sovia's giggles nearby.
"Sovia!" Vaelys cried out, her voice tinged with fear as she saw her daughter toddling toward the dragon, her tiny hand outstretched in curiosity.
Fear gripped Vaelys' heart as she raced forward, her maternal instincts urging her to protect her child. But to her astonishment, Silverwing lowered her head with a gentle grace, her eyes shimmering with warmth and affection as she regarded Sovia.
A sense of wonder washed over Vaelys as she watched the unlikely encounter unfold before her eyes. With cautious steps, Sovia approached the dragon, her laughter filling the air with joy as she reached out to touch Silverwing's scaled snout.
To Vaelys' astonishment, Silverwing responded with an affectionate purr, her massive head nuzzling against Sovia's tiny hand with a gentleness that belied her formidable size.
"I guess Silverwing has found her rider,” remarked Daeron quietly, his voice filled with a mixture of awe and admiration.
"She's not even two name days old," Vaelys murmured, her voice tinged with wonder as she watched Sovia interact with the majestic creature before her.
In Sovia's innocent laughter and Silverwing's gentle purrs, Vaelys saw the undeniable proof of a bond being formed.
Daeron's laughter rang out across the beach, a buoyant and infectious sound that filled the air with mirth and warmth.
"Imagine Aemond's face when he comes back and discovers that his daughter is the youngest Targaryen in our history to ever claim a full-grown dragon," he exclaimed, his voice laced with amusement. "The guy is going to be so insufferable!"
Vaelys couldn't help but chuckle at the thought, the image of Aemond's proud and boastful demeanour bringing a smile to her lips. She could already picture the gleam of pride in his eye as he regaled anyone who would listen with tales of Sovia's remarkable feat.
Vaelys' gaze shifted to Vermithor, who lay basking in the warmth of the sun, his massive form sprawled out lazily on the sand. With a hint of playful sarcasm, she addressed the dragon.
"Thanks for all your help," she remarked dryly, her tone tinged with amusement.
Vermithor, sensing the sarcasm in her words, cracked open one eye, and let out a low, rumbling huff in response, as if to say, "She’s fine."
Vaelys couldn't help but grin at her dragon's playful reaction, a sense of camaraderie passing between them.
Vaelys turned to Helaena, a flicker of concern crossing her features as she thought of her newborn son. "Sovia has her dragon now, but what about Daevyn?" she asked quietly, her voice tinged with worry.
Helaena smiled reassuringly, placing a comforting hand on Vaelys' shoulder. "Don't worry, Vaelys," she said gently. "Daevyn will have his dragon soon enough."
Vaelys nodded, her heart eased by Helaena's words. She knew that in time, Daevyn would find his own companion, a dragon to call his own. With a grateful smile, Vaelys turned her gaze back to Sovia and Silverwing, feeling a sense of peace wash over her as she watched them play together on the beach of Dragonstone.

The wind rushed past Vaelys' face as Vermithor soared through the skies, his powerful wings beating rhythmically against the currents. With Sovia securely fastened in the saddle in front of her and Daevyn strapped to her back, Vaelys felt a sense of exhilaration coursing through her veins as she flew with her children.
Beside them, Silverwing and Sapphyre soared gracefully, their scales gleaming in the sunlight as they danced through the clouds. Sovia, almost three years old now, squealed with delight, her laughter echoing through the air as she reached out to touch the sky.
"Look, Mama, look!" Sovia exclaimed, her eyes wide with wonder as she pointed to the world below.
Vaelys couldn't help but smile at her daughter's infectious joy, her heart swelling with pride at the sight of her children flying alongside her. Daevyn, just fifteen moons old, gazed wide-eyed at the world around him, his tiny fingers grasping at the air in excitement.
As the winds carried them higher into the clouds, Vaelys couldn't shake the memory of Helaena's comforting words. "Daevyn will have his dragon soon enough," a promise of hope and possibility that lingered in Vaelys' mind.
It wasn't long after that when Silverwing laid a clutch of eggs, each one a shimmering promise of new life. Among them was a single egg, chosen by some unspoken instinct, to be placed in Daevyn's cradle.
Days passed, marked by anticipation, for the egg to hatch. And then, one morning, as the first rays of dawn painted the sky with hues of pink and gold, the egg cracked open.
A dragon of silver and blue emerged from the shell, its scales gleaming in the early light as it stretched its wings and let out a triumphant roar. The little hatchling, bonding immediately with Daevyn, curling up at his side.
As time passed, Sapphyre grew swiftly, his scales shimmering in the sunlight as he stretched his wings and tested his strength. Despite his youth, he was already a good size for his age, his lithe form exuding a sense of grace and power that contradicted his tender years.
With each passing day, Vaelys watched with pride as Sapphyre honed his skills, his flights becoming more confident and his movements more fluid. He soared through the skies alongside his mother, Silverwing and Vermithor.
Together, the three dragons danced through the clouds, their wings beating in perfect harmony as they embraced the freedom of the open sky. And as they flew, Vaelys felt a sense of wonder wash over her, grateful for the beauty and magic of the dragons.

Vaelys stood on the sandy shores of Dragonstone, her heart pounding with a mixture of anticipation and apprehension. As she waited for Aemond's return, her mind drifted back to the night before he left, their final moments together etched into her memory.
"Meet me on the beach of Dragonstone," he had said, his voice filled with determination and longing.
In that moment, Vaelys had promised herself that she would wait for him, no matter how long it took. But now, as she stood there, the weight of uncertainty pressed down upon her, her thoughts swirling with doubts and fears.
What if Aemond didn't come? What if the two years apart had changed him, irrevocably altering the bond they shared?
The air seemed to grow heavy with her doubts, the silence stretching out before her like an endless abyss. But just as her fears threatened to consume her, a deafening roar shattered the stillness, echoing through the air with a force that sent shivers down her spine.
And then, Vhagar descended through the clouds, her majestic form cutting through the sky with a grace that defied description. In that moment, all of Vaelys' doubts melted away, replaced by a surge of hope and longing that burned brighter than the sun itself.
With tears of joy streaming down her cheeks, Vaelys watched as Vhagar landed on the beach.
Aemond began his descent down the rope ladder, his movements eager and impatient. But halfway down, his haste overtook him, and with a determined glint in his eye, he let go of the ladder and leapt down onto the soft sand below.
Vaelys stood there, stunned by the sight of her husband, his features etched with determination and longing. In the two years they'd been apart. Aemond had grown even more handsome, his sharp features softened by the warmth of his smile.
For a moment, time seemed to stand still as Vaelys drank in the sight of him, her heart overflowing with love and longing. And as Aemond approached her with outstretched arms, she felt a surge of joy wash over her, and with a cry of joy, Vaelys sprinted across the sand toward Aemond, her heart pounding with excitement and anticipation. As she reached him, she leaped into his arms, her laughter mingling with his as they tumbled into the soft embrace of the sand below.
Giggling uncontrollably, Vaelys peppered kisses all over Aemond's face, her lips finding his cheeks, his forehead, and his nose in a flurry of affection and adoration. With each kiss, she felt the weight of their separation lift from her shoulders, replaced by an overwhelming sense of love and gratitude for the man who held her heart.
Aemond wrapped his arms around her, holding her close as they lay entwined in the sand, their laughter echoing across the beach.
Aemond's voice trembled with emotion as he spoke, his eye searching Vaelys' face for reassurance. "I was worried you wouldn't be waiting for me," he confessed, his words heavy with the weight of his fears. "That the years apart would mean you no longer loved me, that you had taken another husband-"
But Vaelys shook her head, her eyes shining with love and devotion as she reached out to cup his cheek. "It's you, Aemond," she whispered, her voice soft but filled with conviction. "It's always been you."
With those words hanging in the air between them, Aemond's fears melted away, replaced by an overwhelming sense of relief and gratitude. And as their lips met in a passionate kiss, the world around them faded into insignificance, leaving only the two of them entwined in each other's embrace, their love stronger than ever before.
"Brother!"
Aemond turned to see Daeron and Helaena hurrying towards them, their faces alight with joy and relief. With a smile spreading across his face, Aemond rose to his feet, pulling Vaelys up beside him as he greeted his siblings.
With open arms, Aemond embraced Daeron and Helaena, pulling them into a tight hug. The warmth of their reunion enveloped them, filling the air with a sense of familial love and unity.
Tears of happiness glistened in Daeron's eyes as he clapped Aemond on the back, his voice thick with emotion. "It's good to have you back, brother," he said, his words echoing the sentiments of everyone present.
Helaena joined in the embrace, her eyes shining with unshed tears as she held her brother close. "We missed you," she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion.
With their arms wrapped around each other, the three of them stood together on the beach of Dragonstone, united once more.
As Aemond's gaze scanned the surroundings, his eyes fell upon a small figure standing with Ceci near the steps, a little girl with silver curls cascading down her shoulders. His heart skipped a beat as he recognized her instantly.
"S-Sovia?" Aemond stammered, his voice barely above a whisper. His daughter—his precious little girl—stood before him, but she was no longer the baby he remembered. She had grown so much in the two years he had been away, her silver curls just as wild and untamed as ever.
Stunned, Aemond approached her slowly, his steps faltering as he reached out a trembling hand. But Sovia, shy and unsure, backed away, seeking refuge behind Vaelys' protective embrace.
His heart aching with longing, Aemond knelt down before her, his eyes filled with love and longing. "Byka grēges," he whispered softly (Little bug).
At the sound of her father's voice, Sovia's eyes widened in recognition, and then, as if a dam had burst, she uttered a single word that filled Aemond's heart with boundless joy.
"Daddy."
With a cry of delight, Sovia threw herself into Aemond's waiting arms, her laughter ringing out like music on the breeze.
As Aemond basked in the joy of reuniting with Sovia, Vaelys stepped back, allowing father and daughter a few precious moments together. She watched them with a tender smile, her heart swelling with love and gratitude for the sight before her.
But as the moments passed, Vaelys knew it was time to share another precious gift with Aemond—their son, Daevyn. With a gentle nod to Ceci, she took her son into her arms, feeling the weight of his tiny form against her chest.
Taking a deep breath, Vaelys turned to face Aemond, her heart fluttering with nervous anticipation. She could see the stunned expression on his face as his gaze fell upon the boy in her arms.
"I-Is he?" Aemond's voice was barely a whisper, his eyes wide with disbelief and wonder.
With a soft smile, Vaelys nodded, her heart overflowing with joy. "Yes," she replied, her voice trembling with emotion. "This is your son. His name is Daevyn, born nine moons after you left."
As Aemond took in the sight of his son for the first time, his initial shock quickly gave way to a surge of overwhelming emotion. His heart pounded with a mixture of disbelief and anger, his mind struggling to process the revelation before him.
He had a son—a son he never knew existed. The realization hit him like a bolt of lightening, filling him with a sense of betrayal and fury. How could this have happened? How could his wife have given birth to their child without his knowledge?
His anger simmered, threatening to boil over as he grappled with the enormity of the situation. He knew it wasn't Vaelys' fault—she had been left in the dark just as much as he had. But still, the injustice of it all gnawed at him, fuelling the flames of his rage.
His gaze hardened as he turned his thoughts to Rhaenyra, the woman who had sent him away, tearing him from his family and his home. It was her decree that had forced him into exile, robbing him of the chance to witness the birth of his own son.
Bitterness welled up inside him as he thought of the time lost, the moments stolen from him by forces beyond his control. Anguish mingled with fury as he cursed the circumstances that had kept him apart from his loved ones, leaving him to wallow in ignorance while life carried on without him.
"Aemond," she began softly, her voice filled with warmth and compassion, "Would you like to hold Daevyn?"
Aemond's gaze flickered to his son, in Vaelys' arms, his features serene and innocent. For a moment, the storm of anger and resentment that brewed within him threatened to consume him entirely. But then, with a heavy sigh, he nodded silently, his resolve to confront Rhaenyra simmering beneath the surface for the time being.
Wordlessly, Vaelys carefully transferred Daevyn into Aemond's waiting arms, her touch gentle and reassuring. As their son nestled against his chest, Aemond felt a wave of tenderness wash over him, mingling with the anger and frustration that still lingered in his heart.
Tumblr media
The soft glow of candlelight cast a warm ambiance over the small dinner gathering, illuminating the faces of those gathered around the table. Vaelys sat at the head, her radiant smile lighting up the room as she doted on their children, Sovia, and Daevyn.
Beside her, Aemond watched with a sense of overwhelming gratitude, his heart swelling with love as he beheld the sight of his family together once more. Daeron sat across from him, a grin on his face as he regaled the table with tales of his time at Old Town and how he once filled Lord Ormund’s boots with manure, his laughter filling the air.
Helaena sat beside her brother, with Jaehaerys, Jaehaera, and Maelor by her side, their youthful energy adding to the lively atmosphere of the evening. Aemond couldn't help but smile as he watched them interact, their laughter and chatter a soothing melody that filled him with a sense of peace.
As he looked around the table at the faces of those, he loved the most, Aemond felt a surge of contentment wash over him.
He watched as Vaelys tended to their children with a grace and tenderness that took his breath away, her love for them evident in every gesture and smile. In that moment, Aemond fell in love with her all over again, grateful beyond words for the woman who had stood by his side through thick and thin.
As the evening stretched on and the laughter continued to flow, Aemond found himself lost in the warmth of the moment, his anger towards Rhaenyra could wait because he was home at last.
Tumblr media
As soon as the door was closed, Aemond was on her, he wrapped his hand around Vaelys’ throat and pressed her against the wall.
“I can’t wait any longer ābrazȳrys, I need to have you” exclaimed Aemond (Wife).
“-Pār gūrogon issa “ replied Vaeryna as Aemond suddenly lunged forward and pressed his lips to hers (Then take me).
Their kiss was rough and desperate. Consisting of teeth and tongue.
It was an eruption of frustration and passion. Hands everywhere, grabbing, scratching, and pulling at one another.
Aemond spun Vaelys around and pressed her face against the wall, with one hand on the back of her neck and the other quickly untying the laces of his breeches.
Gods, he was so fucking hard, he'd been hard the moment he saw his wife again, and in truth if Daeron and Helaena hadn't of been there, he would have fucked Vaelys in the sand.
Aemond nudged her ankle with his foot, signalling for her to open her legs wider.
His body covered hers as he sucked and licked the delicate skin of her neck, leaving red marks in his wake.
Vaelys moved her head to the side and moaned loudly as she felt Aemond’s teeth nipping at her skin.
“Two years-two fucking years I’ve waited-“ growled Aemond.
“Kostilus” begged Vaelys (Please).
"Two years with nothing but my own hand-I fucked my fist everynight, thinking of you"
Aemond pulled up his wife’s skirts and slipped his fingers into her small clothes.
“Fuck” moaned Aemond, gods she was so wet that he almost spilled in his breeches.
Aemond ran his hand up and down the hard length of himself, eyeing his wife with an animalistic hunger, a smirk on his lips as she bent forward for him.
He pulls aside her small clothes as he guides himself to her entrance, she barely has a moment to adjust before he is pressing his cock forcefully inside and stretching her.
“THAT’S IT!” groaned Aemond.
Vaelys couldn’t think of anything but the intense pounding thrusts, Aemond set a brutal pace, his hips crashing into hers, his hard cock reaching deep inside her.
Then he withdrew from her and span her around, lifting her into his arms, his mouth pressed against hers as he quickly sheathed himself back inside her.
“YES! YES! AEMOND!” screams Vaelys.
“FUCK!” shouts Aemond as he feels her cunny clenching around his cock.
He withdraws from her again, making her whimper in frustration.
But Aemond ignored her as he laid her on the chaise lounge and fell to his knees.
Sliding his calloused hands up her legs, bunching the fabric of her small clothes in his hand before he rips them from her body.
“Aemond” shrieked Vaelys as Aemond’s mouth descends on her cunny.
Ravenously, he pressed into his wife’s core with his tongue, in and out, much faster than his cock ever could.
Still gasping, Vaelys clutched at his head with one hand, her other digging into the fabric of the chaise.
Aemond withdrew from her soaking wet core and lashed hard at her clitoris with his tongue, pulling on it with his lips. He was hard, fast and brutal, alternating between her assaulted bundle of nerves and drinking deep from her cunt.
Vaelys ground down on Aemond, hard; his tongue speared deeper inside her, and she felt the warm curl of her peak approach.
Aemond growled, deep in his throat. The vibration of his vocal cords rippled through to his tongue and Vaelys gasped; she felt every vibration keenly. Her body tensed for her peak– But Aemond pulled away from her and smirked, his chin shining with her slick.
“A-Aemond” gasped Vaelys, the tears of frustration spilling down her cheeks.
“Be a good little wife and take what your husband gives you” said Aemond as he reached for the laces of her dress before he grew impatient and tore it from her body, leaving her body bare before him.
His own hands moving to his own breeches and shirt, removing them as quick as he could before he surged forward and worshipped his wife’s breasts. His tongue licking at the stiffened rosy peaks
“P-Please. Husband” sobbed Vaelys as she felt his hard cock sliding against her folds.
“Hmm” growled Aemond as he wrapped his hand around his wife’s throat and sheathed himself inside her once more.
“God. Yes. Aemond” moaned Vaelys.
He began to thrust in and out of her in deep achingly slow thrusts.
“Your cunt is dripping, it's so beautiful” sighed Aemond.
Slowly thrusting back and forth. Over and over, withdrawing further each time, until his cock entirely withdrew from her warm wet entrance. He marvelled at her body. Such a beautiful, succulent thing his wife was. Allowing him entry into the most sacred parts of her body.
Aemond began to fuck her in earnest, his fingers digging into the flesh of her throat, using her as leverage as he repeatedly plunged his cock into her cunny, over, thrilled to hear Vaelys’ moans of need echoing around their chambers.
His thrusts, brutal and unrelenting.
“Come for me, love” breathed Aemond.
Vaelys screamed as her desperately needed peak exploded from her body, making every limb tremble as her body bucked around Aemond’s cock.
Gods, he needed to spill his seed, but not like this.
So, with his cock still nestled inside her, Aemond manoeuvred himself into a sitting position with Vaelys on his lap.
“Give me another-I want you to come on my cock again” growled Aemond.
Vaelys ran her hands over the defined muscles of his chest, her nails digging into his pale skin.
“Oh” gasped Vaelys as she rolled her hips against Aemonds.
“That’s it baby, take it. Take all of me”.
Aemond placed his hands on Vaelys’ hips and marvelled at his wife as she rode him.
Vaelys dug her nails into Aemond’s chest as she moved her hips against his, his cock hitting the sweet spot inside her perfectly.
“A-Aemond” moaned Vaelys as he moved his hand to her breasts and once again took one of her nipples into his mouth, his teeth gently grazing the rosy bud.
“Let go baby, I can feel you clenching around me” exclaimed Aemond, as he moved to the other breast and lavished it with the same attention as the other.
Vaelys’ thighs began to burn, as she felt her second peak approach.
“AEMOND” screamed Vaelys her vision going white as she came around his cock.
“God. Vaelys” groaned Aemond as he exploded. His cock throbbing and twitching as he finally spilled his seed inside her, collapsing against the chaise, breathing hard.
It took a good while for Aemond to regain his senses. Meanwhile his wife had collapsed against him, her face pressed into his neck.
"Rest a while ābrazȳrys and I shall have you again-we've got two years to make up for" rasped Aemond (Wife).

Chapter 2 ♢ The Godswood
It was as though time had stopped in the courtyard, people standing still in the quietly blowing wind, the royal carriage having been spotted and its estimated arrival was a mere few minutes.
There was a strange sort of atmosphere, a mixture of excitement and exhaustion, as a royal visit was a grand affair and this specific one had been years in the making—it was no simple visit, but the confirmation of the betrothal between House Stark and House Targaryen.
In the center of the courtyard, the Warden stood with his children, brother and nephews, and the handful of northern lords who had made the journey to Winterfell to meet their king. Most of them were present to witness this new alliance take its first steps, others to petition their sovereign, if he allowed it. What was at stake hung over their heads like a cloud, particularly heavy on Aryana’s shoulders.
Still, she stood with pride, bust held straight and chin tilted high. She would make her House and kingdom proud, she vowed to herself, no matter who she would meet today. She might meet a man she could eventually fall in love with, or at least come to admire, but she knew she could just as well meet someone she would never see eye to eye with, and they would have to rule together despite their differences.
Aryana was pulled out of her thoughts as the assembly gasped—a great shadow suddenly flew over them, plunging the yard in darkness for a few seconds before the walls trembled and the ground shook, rattling the windows. A great chill went down her spine and the back of her neck prickled with excitement.
She had read about dragons in the years prior, but she had never seen one, and she wondered if the sight of a winged beast would be enough to satisfy her if Prince Aegon was a disappointment.
The courtyard was silent in the minute that followed, before the King’s carriage passed the gates. Soon it was stopping a few feet away from them, and Aryana’s stomach twisted in a knot.
She threw a glance at her brother who stood on the other side of the father, and his encouraging nod settled her nerves slightly. No matter who Prince Aegon was, she would still have her family as support.
Aryana breathed through parted lips as the king came out, walking down the couple of steps out of the carriage with slight difficulty—he looked a bit tired, or perhaps even sick, and she thought to herself that the sight of the dragon king was quite underwhelming. Still, she held her judgment for later and curtsied low as her father greeted the king appropriately.
The words they spoke to each other were lost on her as she kept her eyes on the carriage’s door, her heart beating wildly in her chest as a young man came out, following the King’s footsteps.
He was shorter than his father, slim and well-dressed in the colors of his house. The black and dark red made his golden white hair stand out, and as he looked up from the steps, his piercing gaze searching the assembly, Aryana took a single step forward.
He was handsome, and that was a small relief, she thought to herself. His hair was cut below his chin, thick waves that framed his chiseled jaw and rounder face, the curves of youth still present in his cheeks. The look on his face was one of reserve, neither shy nor enthusiastic, and before Aryana could decide what she truly thought of him, her father introduced her.
“Prince Aegon, may I present you my daughter, Aryana,” Rickon introduced solemnly, reaching for her hand.
Aegon planted his feet into the hard ground as his own father turned to him, watching him like a hawk, and the young prince swallowed his nerves. He held onto the words of encouragement his brother had given him earlier, keeping his face neutral.
The young woman at the right of Lord Rickon stepped forward, dressed in black and brown, muted colors that made her fiery hair stand out, and Aegon could not help a smile pulling at his lips.
She was lovelier than he could have ever expected—while he had spent months if not years picturing an austere, plain woman, he was instead faced with an intriguing beauty. Her pale skin was freckled like a splatter of stars upon the sky, in accordance with her formidable red hair and rich brown eyes.
Out of the two brothers, Aemond was the poet and the more romantic at heart, but in this instant Aegon understood the appeal of well-chosen words and great declamations. His relief was so that he could not find his voice, and after a breathless chuckle that warmed Aegon’s chest further, the young lady spoke.
“It is an honor and a pleasure to meet you, Prince Aegon,” she said with a proper curtsy, slow and low, her lower lip caught under her teeth. A subtle squeeze of her father’s hand and she released it, looking up at Aegon under her lashes.
Aegon’s heart picked up speed when he saw the look in her eyes and realized with excitement that what was surely being mistaken for shyness by the rest of the royal party was a carefully constructed image, and behind her demure attitude lay a character that he found himself curious to discover. Mischief sparked in her dark gaze and Aegon grinned.
“The pleasure and honor are mine, Lady Aryana,” he recited in a careful tone, and he could practically feel his brother roll his eye behind him. His cheekbones flushed slightly as she seemed pleased, looking up at her father with pride.
At his side Viserys clapped him on the shoulder firmly and for once, was looking upon him with satisfaction. He knew it would take much more to deserve his father’s pride. “This way, your grace, we have much to discuss,” Rickon invited, and King Viserys followed him.
Walking side by side behind their fathers, Aryana kept the appropriate distance between her and Aegon while holding her head high, stealing glances to her right.
“I hope your journey was pleasant,” she offered much too carefully for it to be natural, and Aegon’s grin came back slightly. He understood she was playing a game, much like he was, certainly having been taught what to say and encouraged to rehearse words beforehand—there would be time for honesty later, now they had a part to play.
“Most of it was on dragonback. Pleasant doesn’t even begin to cover it,” he still decided to reply honestly, and for a split-second wondered if she would take his answer as arrogance, but she only breathed a laugh.
“How exciting it must be, to be able to fly,” she exclaimed, her voice taking on a musical tone. It was deeper than most women’s, with a rumble he found utterly charming. He allowed himself a step slightly to the side and their shoulders brushed minutely—she was as tall as him, perhaps even an inch taller.
“I suppose that in time, I could take you with me,” Aegon offered, fully knowing his question was a bit forward and that most people would be intimidated by the idea of riding a dragon, but he was eager to know what sort of northern lady she was.
“I would love that,” she replied warmly, her complexion brightening under her excitement, and Aegon felt a boost of pride in his chest. It was rare that he made a good impression, and it was a good feeling. “The great beast that flew over us, is it yours?”
“I’m afraid you shall have to settle for less,” Aegon answered, slightly bitter—perhaps a good impression was unattainable after all. “This formidable beast is my brother’s dragon, Vhagar. Mine is smaller, with golden scales.”
“Golden scales suit you more,” she added with utter certainty, and Aegon stopped in his tracks, genuinely surprised. She looked straight at him as he turned to face her, the party following a few feet behind stopping as well, allowing them the illusion of privacy.
“Your hair,” she replied, obviously taking his stunned silence as a question. Her gaze followed the line of his nose up to his forehead and his hairline, giving the ample opportunity to Aegon to look into the details of her face—her button nose scrunched slightly as she examined the color of his hair. “It’s less white than I expected. It has gold in it.”
Aegon felt his chest swell at this simple observation, the fact that she had thought of him enough to have expectations as elating as it was frightening, but he wished to know what else she had imagined him to be.
“Your hair is less brown than I expected,” he returned the observation and her answering grin smoothed the scrunched skin at the bridge of her nose. He took a moment to look at her thick mane, and the color reminded him of the falling leaves in the Red Keep’s gardens when autumn hit the capital.

The royal party was invited to settle into the guest quarters while the king and Rickon Stark talked in the small hall where the Warden usually received his petitions. Neither Aryana nor Aegon were allowed, and while she smiled easily and made herself scarce, no doubt seeking her brother, he found himself swallowing nerves.
He wondered what terms were being discussed while he changed from his traveling clothes—he had been put into a fresh doublet during their last stop, barely an hour away from Winterfell, and his hair combed, but to clean up and rest in a real bedroom was still very much welcomed.
“She is lovely,” he whispered to Aemond in passing as they were led to their respective rooms, and the young man appeared pleased for him.
Aemond took less time freshening up, barely a swipe of a damp cloth at his throat and the back of his neck, and a change of doublet—the smell of dragon could be offensive to some, but he carried the scent with pride.
As he came down into the main hall where chatter was coming from, he found a luncheon offered to the royal party as a welcome, and he was glad for the cup of mulled wine a servant put in his hand.
He settled himself on the edge of the room, looking at his father’s advisors mingling with the northern lords who had made the journey to Winterfell to greet them. Near the large hearth, Rickon Stark and Viserys were deep into what seemed to be a serious conversation.
As he was two third into his cup, he saw Lord Rickon look up and beckon someone over. Before Aemond could turn his head and see who was outside of his field of vision, Aryana appeared, walking over to her father with confidence.
From the corner of his eye, Aemond observed the young woman. She seemed perfectly at ease speaking to the king, smiling easily and holding herself with assurance. He was relatively pleased with what he had seen of her so far, and was hopeful she would make a fine companion for his brother.
Soon he was pulled into conversation by one of his father’s advisors and put aside his musings, focusing on the task at hand, the one he had been brought into the tour for—managing Aegon’s image, and painting a better picture of his brother.
By the fire, Aryana had a difficult time focusing on her conversation with the king. She was eagerly awaiting Aegon’s return among the party, and she found herself wondering if her betrothed hadn’t fallen asleep in his room.
After a short while, Viserys called the name of his second son; Aryana followed his gaze to where the tall man was standing among a small party conversing excitedly.
The prince turned on himself, arms still crossed behind his back, Aryana was momentarily struck by his appearance—she had seen him in the royal party, standing closer to the king and Prince Aegon than anyone else, his white hair giving him away, but seeing him up-close was an another experience altogether.
He was leaner than his brother, with sharp features that were harmonious despite their cutting edges. A scar seemed to run along the left side of his face, from his eyebrow to his cheekbone, hidden by an eye patch that contributed to his unusual appearance. “Lady Aryana,” he greeted, her name rolling smoothly on his tongue, and she was utterly intrigued.
“Prince Aemond,” she replied, a bit more curt than she would have liked, still puzzled at how different the two brothers seemed to be. “Might you know where my betrothed is? I think it would be fitting for me to spend some time with him.”
“Last I saw him, your brother was showing him the way to the Godswood.”
Aryana excused herself politely, and the king encouraged her to seek Aegon, his brow furrowing as he realized his eldest son was absent from the luncheon. She hurried out into the cool air of the afternoon and walked to the Godswood decidedly. The canopy of trees enveloped her as she stepped into the enclosed forest, the familiar smell of earth and leaves soothing her nerves slightly.
She found Aegon easily, not far from the entrance, and she stopped in her tracks as she found the prince was not in the company she had expected. Cregan was nowhere to be seen, and seemingly unafraid or uncaring, Aegon was sitting atop a large tree root and petting Aryana’s wolf, Nymeria.
“You are either bold or a reckless fool, as she could easily bite off your hand,” Aryana announced herself.
Aegon barely looked up before he grinned, his pink lips stretching to reveal his white teeth. “You seem to have forgotten what beast I rode here,” he said with unconcealed pride. “What is a dog compared to a dragon? No matter the size of the dog, it doesn't compare.”
“Hardly a dog,” Aryana laughed, a deep rumbling sound that made him want to hear more of it.
In that spirit, he pushed the taunting humor, eager to see how far she would allow him to jest, or if she would take it as an offense. “It has four legs, fur and fangs. What would you call it, if not a dog?” he asked with a grin.
“She is a Direwolf, and her name is Nymeria,” she introduced. “Comparing her to a dog would be comparing your golden beast to an eagle or a hawk.”
Aegon’s grin widened and he shook his head as she sat beside him, tucking her heels against the root. He looked up from her low boots to where the hem of her dress had ridden up, exposing her ankles and legs almost up to her knees. She was dressed in a dark brown gown with maroon embroideries, a simple dress with a high, modest collar.
“You haven’t answered my question,” she said after a while, uncaring that she was being observed. “Are you bold or a fool?”
“I will let you answer that question for yourself,” he replied with good humor, and they shared a conniving smile.
“Afraid of revealing yourself so soon?” she asked in what was meant to be a teasing tone, but his brow furrowed and she had the inkling she had pushed him too far. His casual hint of arrogance amused her and she far preferred it to false modesty, but now she wondered what it was hiding. “I thought Cregan was escorting you?” she quickly asked, unwilling to let the first question fester between them.
“He did. I asked for a moment alone,” Aegon replied. “These woods are peaceful.”
“Indeed they are,” she agreed, stretching her legs in front of her and looking up at the thick canopy of trees. “I often come here, when I need a moment to reflect. Do you have such a place, back in King’s Landing?”
“Not strictly in King’s Landing, no,” he said. Then smiled some sort of private, secret smile when she made a questioning sound. “The skies.”

Later in the day, the luncheon turned into a merry banquet that celebrated what they all considered to be a promise of stability and prosperity for the crown. The lords of the North were confident that having a Stark near the throne would improve their prospects in the next few years, and in time profit the whole region when Aegon became king and Aryana would come to rule at his side.
She bore on her shoulders hope for her entire people and beyond—the North didn’t stop at Castle Black, and in the secrecy of her own heart, she carried the circumstances of the death of her birth father.
The whole assembly went silent and stood in respect as Rickon Stark proposed a toast. He stood with his back to the fire, and with his long hair and beard streaked with gray and his cloak lined with pelts, he looked like an old wolf, or an old warrior. “I would like to toast to this unprecedented alliance and thank his grace King Viserys for this honor,” he said, raising his cup above the line of his shoulders.
At his side, King Viserys smiled, looking pleased. He nodded before raising his own cup.
“A toast to my son Prince Aegon and his betrothed, Lady Aryana. I am sure you will make us all very proud,” he responded, and Aryana couldn’t help but notice how the king’s gaze quickly passed over his own son to set on her, where he lingered for a moment as he gave his compliment.
The smile on Aegon’s face was tight, and Aryana quickly thanked the king, eager to get the attention away from them. When they sat back, Aegon was uncharacteristically quiet, his back ramrod straight and his fingers tight around his cup.
He sighed in obvious relief when Cregan stood from his seat and walked around the table, coming up to him to ask his permission to dance with Aryana.
“I would request one last dance with my sister before your grace whisks her away,” he said with good humor but a hint of defiance that had Aryana roll her eyes.
As men and women, adults and children alike, filled the space with merry dancing that was very different from the dances customary in the capital, Aryana was swept away into the crowd with one last look to Aegon. He forced himself to keep his composure as long as he could see her, but as soon as she disappeared into the mass of bodies, he stood up and drained his cup, excusing himself.
He found a hallway that led to the outside, to a covered inner courtyard where he took a few deep breaths to settle his emotions. The humiliation stung, and he wondered how many people in the crowd had noticed the blatant way his father had dismissed him, obviously giving his blessing to Aryana alone.
Hot tears stung the corner of his eyes but he held them at bay, until familiar footsteps came behind him.
“I am simply taking some air, father,” he justified himself before the king reached him, startled when he was grabbed by his shoulder and turned to face his father.
“Your betrothed is waiting for you,” Viserys reprimanded, anger etched on his face, and Aegon tried to free himself from his hold. “Again.”
“I shall go now, then.”
However his father’s grip only tightened and his mouth turned downward. “I held my tongue when you disappeared during the luncheon instead of seeking your intended, but I cannot and will not let you make a bad impression of yourself.”
Aegon kept his silence, desperately wanting to defend himself, to assure the king that Aryana had not been offended by his seeking the quiet of the Godswood. He wanted to tell him of their conversation, of their finding common ground under the sacred wood’s canopy, but he wished to keep this moment for himself.
“Do you think it brings me joy to reprimand you this way?” Viserys pressed, and Aegon shook his head silently. “Answer me!” he snapped at his son’s silence, startling Aegon.
“No, father,” he quickly replied, hot tears coming to his eyes again, and this time he knew he could not fight them.
“Jaehaerys would have not tolerated your ways the way I have. It is time for you to obey and to conform to what is expected of you,” the king insisted, despite the humiliated tears that streaked his son’s face now.
Jaehaerys would have been just, and he would have been proud of any son and heir, no matter the woman he was born to, Aegon thought in the privacy of his mind, regretting bitterly that the old king had passed before his birth. He spoke none of these words, knowing what awaited him if he spoke his own disappointment—a strike across the face, sharp and stinging, with the back of the hand.
The rings on his father’s hand had split his lip more times than he could count, and he often blamed himself for how he had provoked his king, that he would need to resort to physical violence as words didn’t seem to register with him. He was beyond explanations, a lost cause that could only understand violence.
“You will not drink a drop more than what you have tonight for the remainder of our stay here,” the king commanded. “And you will spend every waking moment either with me, or with your intended. Am I clear?”
Aegon’s voice wobbled when he spoke and he curled his hands to stop their shaking. “Yes, father.”
As the king released his son, the young man made a wounded sound and scampered away, unaware his humiliation had had an unexpected witness.
Leaning on the railing of the balcony atop their heads, in the quiet and darkness of the night, Cregan had found some air after his dance with Aryana, holding his breath the moment he realized what was taking place a few feet away.
He remained still as stone until the king left as well, and the words he had heard stayed with him all throughout the night. “Cregan, are you alright?” Aryana asked as she came to find him later, after a few dances with Prince Aegon. “What is it?”
“I’m not sure,” he whispered, taking Aryana by the arm and leading her away from the noise. She followed him into one of the hallways, and she took a sip of wine while waiting for him to speak.
“I stumbled upon a conversation between the king and Prince Aegon, earlier. It was rather tense,” he started to explain, the words he had heard visibly still echoing in his head.
“I suppose the prospect of his eldest son’s marriage is putting pressure on the king,” Aryana said quietly, filling the silence in the time it took for Cregan to find the words to elaborate, her brow furrowing.
“Far from me to criticize the king and how he raises his sons, but in this instance he seemed overly harsh and unjustly so,” Cregan said, looking concerned. “He treated him like a boy.”
“Father still treats you like a boy sometimes,” Aryana pointed out, and they both smiled in tenderness at the mention of their father.
“Father would never humiliate me to make a point,” Cregan murmured, and Aryana’s stomach twisted in a tight knot. Viserys seemed of mild character, neither too soft nor too harsh, and even though Cregan would never repeat words he had overhead, she was glad he was sharing his impression with her.
Aryana wondered if what she had noticed during their conversation in the Godswood was more than a simple uncomfortable moment, if it held issues she was unaware of. “Aegon has the righteous arrogance of a royal prince, but a self-deprecating sense of humor,” Aryana murmured, almost to herself. “I’m unsure what to make of it.”
Left reeling by their first meeting but uneasy about Aegon’s true state of mind about their union, Aryana struggled to find sleep that night.
She realized that, foolishly, she had never considered that even though the match had been at the initiative of the Targaryens, her prince might not look forward to such an alliance. Still, she forced herself to wait until she made her judgment.

Aemond apologises
English is not my first language, be kind.
Modern!Aemond x fem!Reader
Part one: You and Aemond fought, so he invites at dinner another girl
Part two: You left Aemond on read.
Warnings: sex description, smut, oral (m, f receiving), kissing, dirty talk, tits sucking, chocking, softdom!Aemond
Since the first time, sex with her was always so good. Aemond doesn’t remember having ever met a girl that would fit with him so well in bed with him. He just loved having sex with her, because she was so dirty, even if she always acted like she wasn’t. She acted all innocent when her mind was filled with the most disgusting ideas. Aemond loved how embarrassed she was when he asked her to speak those thoughts up. He was up to everything if it was with her. She would mumble and call him ‘Idiot’ if he would then tease her, threatening him saying she would never speak up her thoughts again, get her face all red and look away from him, playing with her fingers as she stared at them.
Aemond then would have fucked her hard enough, doing what she just told him, taking away her capability of think so she would stop being so embarassed of her thoughts. She was always eager for him, always ready to male him feel good. She loved to hear his reactions to what she did to him, she loved to be phrased and reassured that he was enjoying what she was doing. He knew she had sex before him, and even if being reminded of that infuriated him, he kept in mind that she had gotten thousand times better with him.
Since she got confident with blowjobs, she would suck him off regularly, even getting the initiative out of nowhere, when he was reading or working from home, She would sneak between his legs and start touching him, looking up at him with those two big eyes of hers. At the start she made a lot of effort to take just half of him in her mouth, she was not used to his size, he was pretty big, he knew that and he loved to tease her with it. Now, she was able to take almost everything of him, using her tongue just perfectly, knowing what made him go crazy, and using it to her advantage. Not that he complained. Despite her attitude out of bed, she liked to be ordered and tossed around, she liked to be completely submissive to him, another thing he used to tease her out of bed, since she was so stubborn.
“You don’t decide for me! I make my own decision, and I do as I want.” she said.
“Oh, really? Yest you don’t complain so much when I tell you to get on your knees, or to lay still on the bed as I fuck you.” he mused. She would get so angry and start shouting at him, making him chuckle.
“On your knees.” he orders. She looks up at him and slides on the floor, getting on her knees in front of him as she keeps her gaze on him. He uses one hand to unbutton his pants as the other caresses her cheek, she leans her head towards his hand, as his thumb passes over her lower lip, pushing it down.
“Let’s put this mouth to a better use, uh?” as he slips two fingers inside her mouth, preparing her for what was about to come. She immediately starts sucking on them as she puts her hands on his thighs.
So easy.
He hated seeing her with Jason, seeing her smile at him, and talk to him, enough to get Jason the idea that she could be his, that he could have taken her to his house. She was his, and his alone. He will be the only one for her. Yet, he knew he had to apologize too. He indeed had been a dick with her, but the image of her walking away from him so easily was driving him nuts. She surely made him believe she didn’t care at all for him. He needed to remind himself  and her that she was his.
Aemond takes his fingers out of her mouth, quickly pulling down his pants  and boxers, stepping out of them, as she sits better on her knees, ready to welcome him in her mouth. He takes himself in his hand and he presses his tip on her lips, and she immediately opens her mouth and licks the tip, taking it inside her warm, wet mouth, sicking his tip. Aemond groans and he lets his head fall back, putting his hand on top of her head as she slowly starts taking more of him at every bob of her head.
“That’s it princess…” he grunts as he leans his head forward, looking down at her, seeing how good she looked with his cock in her mouth. He caresses her cheek with his thumb, then he puts his hand on her head, moving it himself, speeding up the pace. She twirls her tongue around his cock as it enters her mouth repeatedly.
“So good- Fuck, baby…” she groans as he pushes her head towards him completely, bending his knees so he can align better to her mouth, moving only his hips forward, as she tighten her grip on his thighs, digging her fingers in his skin, gagging repeatedly and squirming. Aemond keeps her like this only a second more, then he releases her, letting her catch her breath as he bends down to wipe the drool away from her chin, lifting her up, putting his hands under her armpits, throwing her back on the bed. He fists himself, his cock lubricated by her saliva, as he watches her.
“Undress. Now.” he orders, and she immediately complies. As soon as she’s naked, he grabs her ankle, dragging her at the edge of the bed, then kneels in front of the bed,  and he spreads her legs apart to accommodate his face between them so he is face to face with her womanhood. He gives her a lick over her entrance, going up to her clit, making her legs squirm slightly. He smiles and he puts his hands around her thighs to keep her still.
“Let me apologize for being a dick to my girl.” he says, then he puts his mouth over her clit, sucking softly, making her let out a breathy moan as she slips her fingers in his hair. She tasted so sweet, so perfectly, Aemond felt like drinking his favorite juice. He nuzzles his face further between her thighs, moving in from site to side, as she keeps moaning, pulling his head closer by his hair.
“Go-od, Aemond, oh, fuck-” she mumbles, moaning again.
“Could do this forever, baby, you taste so good.” he groans as he pulls away, giving her another lick, then pushing two fingers inside her, searching for that rough patch inside of her that he knows makes her legs shake. She lets out a loud whine as she convulses, and he knows he has found it. He smirks and he keeps rubbing her there with his fingers as he puts his mouth back on her clit, licking and sucking, and he uses his arm to keep her still, as her walls start to squeeze his fingers and her body squirms around.
“A-Aemond… please- I- I’m about to…” she mumbles, pulling his hair. He groans and he presses his face further, moving his fingers faster.
“Ah! - Aemond…!” her legs start shaking uncontrollably as he cums on his face, her walls spasming repeatedly as Aemond eagerly drinks everything that pours out of her, still moving his fingers lazily, riding her orgasm out. He pulls up as she crawls backwards on the bed, and he watches her again, drinking in the sight of her trembling naked body, her uncovered curves her full breasts, her plump thighs and her pretty face, just the perfection of her body as he fists himself again, as he slowly crawls on top of her, like an animal hunting his prey.
“Was my apology good enough?” He smirks, and instead of answering him, she just puts his hands on his face and pulls him down in a sticky kiss, tasting herself on his tongue. He takes a deep breath, as he kisses her back aggressively, pushing his tongue in her mouth, as he wraps his arm around her neck, as he aligns his cock to her entrance, pushing in in one firm motion making her pull away from the kiss, and leaning her head back as she arches her back, her face an expression of pure pleasure. Aemond goes down to kiss her neck as he thrusts into her with firm, rough, hard movements, her sobs music to his ear as he reaches her breast and he takes his nipple in her mouth and starts sucking it. He puts his other hand on her womb and presses it down.
“Do you feel me, baby?” he asks her as he runs the tip of his nose back on her cheek. She nods with her eyes closed, her head still thrown back.
“It’s me. Not Jason. Me.” he growls in her ear. “Say it.” he adds.
“You, just you… just you , Aemond.” She repeats. and Aemond speeds up his pace.
“Good, so good- Fuck.” he keeps grunting as she moans loudly when he quickens his movements, throwing her hands around his back, digging her nails on his back as she holds on to him as he keeps thrusting in her like a beast.
“You’re mine, aren’t you? -Fucking all mine- ah-” He presses his face in her neck, breathing heavily on her dump skin, as he breathes in her scent.
“You’ll come back to me- Doesn’t matter how many times I have to apologize-” He leans back and he puts his hand around her throat, her hands immediately covering his, as she opens her mouth as his cock starts rubbing that spot inside her. “You’ll always come back.”
He growls, speeding up his peace as she moans out loud, her eyes clenched shut.
“Yes- fuck, Aemond- Yes, I-I promise…” She nods eagerly at his every word, too lost in pleasure to even care what she was agreeing to. She might have thought this was just some talk during the passion, but Aemond meant every word. He would always have her back, no matter what he had to do.
“You’ll always welcome me back, mh?” He presses his nose on the side of her face. “You’ll always welcome me back in this pretty cunt of yours- Fuck, baby-” He groans outloud as he feels her orgasm around his cock, her long loud moan as her body starts tembling, her hands reaching for him to hold on to every part of his body. Aemond hugs her close, as he thrust a few more times as her walls keep squeezing him so good, that he cums with a low groan, hugging her tighter.
He kisses her cheek as she hugs him back.
“Mine.”

Chapter Three
“Relax brother! This is every man’s dream!”
It may have been some men’s dreams, but to Aemond, this was a nightmare. He found himself standing in side a brothel on the Street of Silk, his older brother Aegon dragging him inside to celebrate Aemond’s thirteenth nameday in the most debauched manner possible.
Settled inside the dimly lit establishment, Aemond’s senses were assaulted by the overpowering scent of incense mingled with sweat and perfume. The air was heavy with the sound of raucous laughter and the low murmur of conversations, punctuated by occasional bursts of music from unseen musicians. The walls were adorned with lavish tapestries and paintings depicting scenes of seduction and desire, adding to the atmosphere of decadence and indulgence.
Aemond’s heart sank as he took in the sight before him, feeling a surge of disgust and embarrassment wash over him like a wave. He couldn’t believe that Aegon had brought him here, to this den of vice and immorality, on what should have been a day of celebration. The thought of indulging in such depravity made his skin crawl, and he couldn’t shake the feeling of being trapped in a nightmare from which he couldn’t escape.
As Aemond sat awkwardly upon a chaise, he couldn't shake the bitter irony of Aegon's words echoing in his mind. His brother had promised to teach him to be a real man, but this was certainly not what Aemond had in mind. He felt a deep sense of unease and discomfort settling in the pit of his stomach, his moral compass recoiling at the debauchery unfolding around him.
Across the room, Aegon was surrounded by a throng of whores, each vying for his attention and the promise of gold that came with it. Aemond watched in silent dismay as his brother indulged in the pleasures of the flesh, oblivious to the disapproving gaze of his younger sibling.
The whores themselves ranged in age, shape, size, and experience, each one adorned in scanty attire or, in some cases, no clothing at all. Their painted faces and suggestive smiles were a stark reminder of the commodification of desire, their presence in the brothel serving as a stark reminder of the seedy underbelly of King's Landing's nightlife.
“I think we are better getting someone with more experience. This is his first time after all,” Aegon suggested, his words attempting to convey an expert education in this field, yet this did nothing for his little brother’s nerves.
With a click of Aegon’s fingers, the madam of the establishment entered, clad in red silk and hair flowing freely, with a jug of wine in hand. The older Prince’s eyes lit up as the whore began to disrobe, but Aemond averted his eye, his face beet red at her nudity. No matter the sickeningly sweet spoken words the woman ushered, the offerings of the finest wine from Essos, or the crude encouragements from Aegon, the young one-eyed Prince remained limp and unsure if this is what he wanted.
He was snapped back into reality when Aegon yanked his face to the side, pulling on his bottom jaw and thrusting a goblet into Aemond’s mouth, dark red wine pouring down his throat and spilling out of the sides of his mouth. When the whore climbed atop Aemond to straddle him, Aegon pushed his brother’s head back around to take in the sight before him.
“No more child’s play, Aemond. It’s time to get it wet.”
As the woman’s skilled fingers began to stroke against the fabric of his tunic and started to descend lower and lower, the wine forced into Aemond’s mouth began to take affect, his mind growing fuzzy and body becoming number. With a defeated exhale, his mind wandered, in an attempt to distract him from his situation.
He dared not dwell on thoughts of his mother, or the inevitable disappointment and disapproval she would express if she knew where he was, led astray by Aegon or not. Even the refuge of historical facts or philosophical questions seemed too daunting, requiring a focus he simply couldn’t muster in the midst of the chaos.
Instead, Aemond found himself retreating into a more pleasant memory, one untainted by the darkness of the present moment. In his mind’s eye, he was transported to the tranquil beach outside the Red Keep, a secluded sanctuary where he often sought solace and solitude.
The beach stretched out before him, its sands golden and glistening in the sparse sunlight that peaked through the grey storm clouds, lapped by the gentle caress of the cerulean waves. Seagulls cried out overhead, their calls echoing against the distant horizon, while a refreshing sea breeze stirred the air, carrying with it the salty tang of the ocean.
Aemond found himself skipping stones across the water, the rhythmic sound of their skipping creating a soothing melody that washed over him like a balm for his troubled soul. With each toss of a stone, he felt a weight lifting from his shoulders, the burdens of the present momentarily forgotten in the simplicity of the moment.
But then, a familiar face appeared beside him. Aemond’s heart skipped a beat as the image became clearer, revealing the unmistakable features of Lady Maera. Gods, how long had it been? Almost three years now. Yet his mind had chosen to seek her out in this moment, as the whore bounced above him and stole his virginity.
Maera's round and gleeful face came alive before Aemond's mind's eye, her cheeks flushed with the rosy hue of childish excitement as she reveled in the brute force of the wind. Her dark brown curls and the silver streak intertwined, usually meticulously styled, became loosened and tousled by the ocean breeze as she ran freely along the beach, her laughter echoing against the backdrop of crashing waves. Aemond could vividly recall the sparkle in her dark green eyes, alive with mischief and joy as she embraced the freedom of the moment.
Lying on the chaise, surrounded by the suffocating atmosphere of debauchery and vice, Aemond couldn't shake the overwhelming sense of loneliness that engulfed him. Despite being surrounded by people, he had never felt so isolated and abandoned. In this moment of despair, he found himself yearning for Maera's presence more than ever before, and yet, there was also a hatred within it.
If Maera were here, Aemond knew he wouldn't be in this mess. He wouldn't have succumbed to Aegon's misguided attempts at brotherly bonding, wouldn't have found himself dragged into the depths of Flea Bottom's depravity. He couldn't help but place the blame squarely on her shoulders, the absence of her friendship leaving him feeling adrift and vulnerable in a world that seemed intent on swallowing him whole.
“Well done brother! You lasted longer than I did the first time.”
The time with the whore seemed to last forever yet be over incredibly quickly at the same time. With sheer stimulation, Aemond’s body did what it was programmed to do, earning a clap and a cheer for the onlooking spectators. He would never admit this, but hearing Aegon cheer him on was actually quite nice, for his older brother had never encouraged him in any other way before. It felt good, as good as it could given the circumstances.
As Aegon paid the whores, Aemond felt his face flush with embarrassment and shame, another part of his childhood slipping away in the wake of his brother's actions. He couldn't help but feel a sense of loss, as if something precious and innocent had been stolen from him, leaving behind only a hollow emptiness.
Exiting the brothel, the brothers found themselves back on the dark, winding streets of Flea Bottom. Aemond's heart felt heavy as they made their way towards the Red Keep, the weight of their shared secret hanging heavy in the air between them.
Aegon slung his arm around his little brother’s shoulders, tousling his hair with rough affection, and Aemond forced a smile, though it did not quite reach his eye. He knew that this fleeting attention from Aegon was temporary, just as their camaraderie was built on shifting sands. Deep down, he knew that he would never willingly return to the Street of Silk, no matter how much his brother might insist.
As they walked, Aemond couldn't shake the thought of Maera from his mind, her absence casting a shadow over his thoughts. Despite his best efforts to bury his feelings beneath layers of resentment and anger, a pang of longing pierced his chest, though he could not name it for what it truly was. In his mind, it had to be hatred for her, for nothing else felt as powerful or consuming.
Tumblr media
A year later much had changed again. Now Aemond stood beside his brother in his chambers, who was racked with nerves on the day of his wedding to their sister, Helaena. A wedding that Aegon had fervently protested. Gods, he was so selfish. The union was for the good of House Targaryen and their family, to further the line and produce children of pure Valyrian blood. But Aegon had never cared for duty or honour, only his own desires and happiness, instead of what was for the good of the Realm.
The Queen had forewarned the one-eyed Prince that Lady Maera had been invited to return to the Capital, not only to attend the wedding, but serve Helaena until her marriage bore fruit. It was then the girl would be sent back to Rain House in order to seek out a marriage pact of her own. Alicent thought he would be pleased, recounting how close the pair were as children. Yet Aemond showed indifference, as if he did not care for past childhood friendships.
However, despite his attempts to convince himself otherwise, Aemond's body betrayed him, reacting in a way that contradicted his feigned indifference. His palms grew slick with sweat, his jaw clenched tightly, and his heart raced beneath the fabric of his deep green doublet, its color almost blending with the darkness of his thoughts.
In his mind, Aemond resolved to treat Maera's return as he would facing any other enemy on the battlefield. He convinced himself that he felt no sentimentality for their shared past, nor any compassion for the hardships she had endured. He refused to acknowledge the distant bond they shared through the blood of the dragon, dismissing it as irrelevant in the face of their supposed enmity.
To Aemond, Maera was simply another adversary to be faced with steely resolve and unwavering determination. He would not allow himself to be swayed by emotions or nostalgia, for an enemy, in his mind, remained an enemy regardless of any shared history or blood ties.
The One-Eyed Prince was distracted from his consuming thoughts as he walked Helaena down the aisle in the Great Sept later that day. The grandeur of the holy building surrounded them, its towering pillars and ornate arches echoing with the hushed whispers of attendants and the strains of stringed music. Despite the festive ambiance, a palpable sadness hung over the sept, reflected in the somber expressions of Helaena and Aegon, both of whom were not willing participants in this charade of happiness and unity.
Attendees clad in their finest attire filled the pews, their expressions a mix of reverence and anticipation as they awaited the union of Prince and Princess. Symbols of the Seven adorned the walls and alcoves, their presence a constant reminder of the sacredness of the occasion and the vows being exchanged.
Aemond looked ahead, his gaze first fell upon his father, the King, seated in a pew near the front. His once proud and regal figure was now slumped and delirious, his eyes glazed over from the effects of the milk of the poppy. A wave of resentment and disgust washed over Aemond as he beheld the pathetic sight before him. How could their father be so weak and feeble, unable to even walk his own daughter down the aisle on her wedding day? It was yet another burden Aemond had to bear for the sake of his family.
His one-eyed gaze shifted to his mother, the Queen, who who watched the procession with a bittersweet smile. It was a smile tinged with sadness, reflecting the complexities of the match that had been made. Beside Alicent stood Lord Otto, Aemond’s grandfather, his expression grave and contemplative. Though his face bore no smile, there was a subtle nod of approval, a silent acknowledgment of the political significance of the marriage unfolding before them.
Aemond’s attention then turned to the High Septon, who awaited the arrival of the bride with an air of solemnity. The aged religious leader turned the pages of the Seven-Pointed Star, his devout demeanor a testament to the sanctity of the occasion. To the right of the altar stood Aegon, tears glistening in his eyes and dark circles beneath them betraying his inner turmoil. The sight of his older brother’s distress only added to Aemond’s own sense of unease and apprehension.
As they drew closer to the altar, Aemond felt a sharp pain as Helaena dug her nails into his arm, her silent plea for support evident even as she maintained her composure.
“What’s wrong?” He whispered her, barely audible for anyone else to hear.
Helaena looked up at him, tears in her violet eyes, which were now widened with fear. Like a lamb being sent to slaughter. “Dragon fire melts the steel to bridge the gap between sky and sea,” the Princess replied, desperation coating her hushed words. The gibberish spiked at times of stress, and the weeks leading up to the wedding were littered with them.
Meeting her gaze with his one-eyed stare, Aemond offered her a reassuring nod, “Come now. We are almost there, and then it will be over.”
As Aemond reached the High Septon with Helaena, he felt her grip tighten on his arm, a silent plea for him to stay by her side. But duty called, and Aemond knew he couldn't indulge in sentimentality. They all had roles to play for the greater good of House Targaryen and the realm, and he couldn't falter now.
Stepping away to settle beside Aegon at the altar, Aemond couldn't help but feel a sense of detachment from the solemn proceedings. As the High Septon conducted the ceremony, Aemond's gaze wandered out towards the crowd gathered in the sept. He couldn't help but feel a twinge of curiosity about who had come to witness the union, knowing that a royal wedding was often an opportunity for lords and ladies to further their own agendas.
Starting from the back, Aemond scanned the faces of the attendees, making mental notes of those present; Leygood, Caswell, Tarly, Ambrose and Blackwood, who was no doubt seeking support against the Brackens. Pathetic, Aemond thought, to use a joyous occasion like a wedding as a platform for petty squabbles and political maneuvering.
The closer to the front, the more powerful and wealthy the Houses. Lannisters, Baratheons, Arryns, Starks. The front row on the left was reserved for members of the royal family and their closest relatives; The King, House Velaryon and House Hightower. But the front row on the right was reserved for members of the Small Council; Maester Orwyle, Ser Tyland Lannister, Maser of ships, Lord Commander Criston Cole and Lord Jasper Wylde, Master of Laws. But Aemond’s one eye widened when he spotted the figure beside the dark-haired Lord.
It was her. Unmistakably, it was her. How could she look the same yet so different? Her face, once cherubic and rosy-cheeked, had matured, losing some of its youthful innocence yet retaining its natural charm. Her dark green eyes, once filled with the boundless joy of childhood, now held a depth of wisdom and discernment befitting a noblewoman. Aemond’s gaze was drawn to the silver streak in Maera’s dark brown curls, illuminated by the soft light filtering down into the sept. Though she had grown taller, so had Aemond, and he was sure that he had overtaken her in stature.
Even Maera’s attire seemed to reflect the transformation she had undergone. Her dress, still adorned in turquoise and gold, hugged her form in a different way, one that accentuated her developing curves, hinting at the woman she was becoming. The neckline of her gown, once modest and childlike, now hinted at her breasts that were undeniably a sign of her transition from girlhood to womanhood. And if that was only the case, why could he not stop staring at her? Why did his trousers begin to feel uncomfortably tight?
As Aemond looked up from Maera's form, he found her dark green eyes locked onto his own, and he felt as if he were being held captive by her gaze. Try as he might, he could not tear his gaze away from her, drawn in by the intensity and familiarity of her stare. There was no malice in her eyes, no trace of the animosity or resentment he had expected. Instead, he sensed something softer, something akin to longing or perhaps an attempt at connection. It was a revelation that left him uncertain and unsettled.
Caught in a silent exchange, Maera darted her eyes briefly to Helaena before returning her gaze to Aemond, as if conveying her concern for his sister. Aemond felt a slight softening of his brow in response, acknowledging and sharing Maera's unspoken sentiment. With a silent understanding passing between them, Maera and Aemond turned their attention back to the ongoing service, the Prince attempting to push down the confusing mix of emotions that threatened to overwhelm him.
Tumblr media
"I do not recognise you. All I see in front of me is a stranger with one less ally in this place…and one less eye to see with.”
A flicker of anger crossed Aemond's features, but he quickly masked it. "I have nothing to prove to you," he said icily, his tone final.
The exchange between Aemond and Maera on that evening had been nothing short of a disaster. Aemond's usual sarcasm, once a familiar banter between them, had struck a nerve this time, evoking hurt and anger in Maera's response. As their conversation progressed, Aemond found himself growing increasingly frustrated. How could she be the one to feel hurt and angered by his words, when she was the one who had left him when he needed her most?
Despite his awareness of the harshness of his words, Maera continued to challenge him, her own frustration evident in her tone and demeanor. Her words, though laced with anger, only served to fuel Aemond’s own ire. How could such hateful words come from someone so beautiful? But he pushed aside the distraction, refusing to be swayed by her appearance.
When Maera stormed away, Aemond couldn’t help but smile to himself, a sense of victory coursing through him. He had won their battle of words, proving his superiority in their exchange. Yet, even as he reveled in his triumph, a lingering sense of anger gnawed at him. Why did he still feel so unsettled? Why could he not find solace in his victory?
A short time later, Aemond stormed out of the wedding party, his frustration boiling over as he slammed the door of his chambers behind him. In that moment, he hated her—or so he told himself, unable to admit the truth of his conflicted feelings. His brow was coated in sweat, and his doublet felt unbearably tight, constricting his chest and suffocating him in its confines.
With trembling hands, Aemond quickly tore off his doublet, ripping it over his head in a fit of frustration. The loose cotton tunic followed, discarded in a heap on the floor as he struggled to catch his breath, his heart pounding in his chest. She was driving him insane, he thought bitterly, her presence in his mind and his life wreaking havoc on his emotions.
Aemond knew he couldn't afford to feel this way, to let an enemy—albeit, a former friend—infect his mind and body with such turmoil. He couldn't afford to appear weak, not when he had so much at stake. Yet, despite his attempts to push her from his thoughts, he found himself consumed by her presence, unable to shake the hold she had over him.
His trousers remained ridiculously tight and when he dared to look down, he saw a very obvious bulge that had formed, a growl of anger leaving his throat. He would be stuck with this for hours if he did not do something about it. Hastily undoing his laces, he spat on his palm and wrapped it around his cock, using his thumb to smear the pre-cum leaking from his tip around the head. Gods, one conversation with her in four years and he was tugging at himself like an animal, no better than Aegon when he caught the sight of a young maid. He hated Maera for making him do this, for having this effect on him.
The Prince bit his lip as he began to stroke faster, desperate to be rid of this feeling. He had not done this to himself since his night on the Street of Silk, yet for some unexplainable reason it felt right, and with her image in his mind, it felt safe to do so. But he could not appreciate this safe haven, for his mind still swirled with the confusion of emotions he felt for his old friend.
“I hate her,” he whispered aloud, as if saying the words into the air made it more real. “I hate her.” His pace increased, cock twitching as he brought himself closer and closer to the edge, jolts of pleasure shooting through his veins. She had bewitched him, body and soul, and even in his thoughts he could not escape her.
Gods what he would give to be freed from this torment, for to be so ensnared by an enemy was a sign of true weakness. The slope of her nose, the furrow of her brow, the twinkle in her green eyes. How soft her hair must have felt, how warm her hands must have been, her breasts, her mouth…
With a stifled moan, Aemond released into his hand, the powerful orgasm threatening to overwhelm as his whole body convulsed. After a few deep breaths, his mind came back to reality, and he located a cloth to wipe away the remnants of his seed. It was at this moment that he realised that Maera would not just be here for the wedding. She would be serving Helaena until the birth of her first child. Aemond gulped nervously. This what not the end of his problem. It was barely the beginning.
Tumblr media
Yet he survived the agonising twelve moons in her company. Thanks to Lord Larys's spies in the Keep, Aemond was able to learn Maera's movements and strategically avoid her. The few times their paths crossed, it was a brief and tense encounter—Maera would hastily make her exit with an excuse, or Aemond would swiftly depart, both eager to maintain their distance. The arrangement seemed to suit them both, allowing them to coexist in the same space without confrontation.
Despite his efforts to avoid her, Aemond found himself still plagued by thoughts of Maera. Her presence lingered in his mind, haunting him with memories of their shared past. The mere sight of her smile or the sound of her laughter stirred a tumult of emotions within him, driving him to the brink of madness. The familiar scent of vanilla and rainwater that accompanied her as she passed him in the halls served as a constant reminder of her presence, further fueling his anger and frustration.
Through the use of palace maids, he managed to get a grip of himself, bending them over tables and rutting into them desperately in an attempt to find temporary release. When his peak would hit, he would climax into his hand or onto their backs, for his seed was sacred, a tool of House Targaryen, and would be used to father many of his heirs. No whore or mere maid was worthy of such a thing.
Aemond actually found it amusing, how he could simply just use these women. Most of the time he did not even need to convince them. They seemed to appear, willing and ready, when the time was right. Sex was a way to assert himself, to regain control, to fight his inner demons in a way that stopped him from using Vhagar to set the world alight in flames, for the hurt and anger he had experienced over the years had twisted and contorted within him into something he did not recognise.
However he was not cruel to the women. He did pay the maids for their time and ensure they were taken care of, a stark contrast to his brother who was known to terrorise the young women. Aemond did not remember their names, nor their faces, for every girl he used seemed to somehow morph into Maera within his mind, her name spilling from his lips when he came.
After Helaena birthed the twins, Maera departed from Kings Landing once more, causing relief to wash over Aemond, mingling with feelings of sadness and regret that were all too easy to bury. Maera’s ability to elicit such strong emotions from him only served to confirm her status as a formidable adversary. A part of him hoped it would be the last time he ever laid his eye on her, wishing to put an end to their tumultuous relationship once and for all. And yet, another part of him—small, but insistent—longed for their battle to continue, unable to deny the undeniable force that drew him to her, despite everything.

Notes: Heavy chapter🖤 I wanted us to sympathise with Aemond and some themes from this chapter that will be useful later on 👀 also I didn’t wanna go too heavy into the brothel scene, it just made me mad uncomfortable writing it but it’s needed for plot 💀 and shout out to my husband for help with this chapter about how to get into the mind of a fifteen year old boy, as well as confirming that male teenagers can and still do jump to conclusions so hard their legs snap on the way down, AND get horny at inappropriate times 🙃 I’ll stop spamming you all with Aemond POV for now 🤣 Back to writing original ODAM this week too 🖊️

If only Viserys didn’t betray Aemma on her birthing bed THERE WOULD BE NO DANCE OF THE DRAGON
