#how to play on servers in minecraft xbox one
What are the gangs favorite type of video games to play? Weather it’s Mario, Pokémon, sports, rhythm games, horror games, etc etc.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. YOU ACTIVATED MY TRAP CARD!!!! Now...
Poppy prefers tabletop games more, but she can be often caught playing or seeing someone else playing The Sims. She LOVES that game - Angel has The Sims 2 installed on their computer, and when they all move to a bigger house Poppy gets her own PC so she can play TS2 as much as she wants.
Kissy doesn't play much on her own, but she really loves 3D platformers and adventure games. Her favorites are the og Spyro the Dragon trilogy! I think she loves watching others play pokémon as well.
Huggy loves racing games. Get anything with a car and he's instantly in love with it.
I can Mommy Long Legs making super over-the-top stories on The Sims 2 as well, so she and Poppy often share news of what their sims are doing. They are both active in forums and are trying to make their own custom content for the game!
Bunzo is a pokémon guy.
PJ Pug-a-Pillar doesn't like playing games in general but he LOVES watching others play, esp if there's lots of cutscenes. It's like watching a movie!
Miss Delight falls in love with Portal 2 when it's released, but I think she's really picky with her puzzle games. She likes being a bit creative on her solutions! She's also really into RPGs. I think the Fallout franchise is her comfort game.
Catnap and Craftycorn are walking Silent Hill encyclopedias, but they LOOOOVE survival horror. Catnap's fav is the original SH1, while Craftycorn loves Haunting Ground (PS2) and SH3.
Bobby on the other hand prefers Resident Evil and Clock Tower 3, but when it's not horror it's definitely a more experimental game. She cries everytime she plays Shadow of the Colossus but she loves it.
Bubba, much like Miss Delight, is SUPER into RPGs and puzzle games, but pokémon and Ace Attorney have conquered his heart. He LOOOVES gushing about it!
Picky's favorite is Animal Crossing! It makes her feel safe and she loves just walking around her town. She made a really impressive one and everyone wants updates from her villagers, Picky loves giving them.
Kickin can't get enough of any FPS or action-adventure game, and he can and WILL ragequit if he's playing online and his teammates start being rude to him or each other. Thankfully he learned really quick how to deal with the more toxic players so now he can truly relax. Unfortunately doomed to become a League of Legends player when it comes out.
Hoppy also loves FPS, but 3D platformers and open-world games are her favorites. Anything that gives her plenty of freedom to move around or just be silly immediately catches her attention! I think she becomes a Team Fortress 2 player.
Dogday prefers to watch rather than play and he gets SO invested. I think Miss Delight likes playing puzzle games with him because they figure out solutions together, but if Dogday were to chose a game for himself to play it would probably be a rythimn game. It gives him the zoomies.
The other smaller toys all have their own individual preferences, so talking about them is more complicated!
Everyone becomes obsessed with Minecraft when it's released. Catch Catnap pranking everyone on their shared beta server by pretending to be Herobrine.
When Angel gets them an Xbox 360 they have many game nights where they play on the Kinect.
Speaking of which, Angel is down to play literally everything, but all the toys know they aren't very keen on anything horror-related. Not because it's scary, it's just that Angel finds them boring after surviving Playtime Co. They probably have an encyclopedia-level knowledge of pokémon, tho.
Prototype doesn't play videogames, but enjoyes watching the others play. Just don't put ANY war games in front of him and we're all good, otherwise he stops watching.

Gamer!boyfriend Trio Headcanons!
Tumblr media
lowkey feel like Naruto's a strict console only player. He tried to play on PC, but found it too complicated to use. shit me too Naruto.
absolute GARBAGE at Mario Kart like oh my god he cannot handle anything higher than 50cc
huge Pokemon fan and is a Pikachu fanboy
has broken a few controllers, not out of rage, but because he keeps smashing the buttons thinking it'll make him better at the game
really into fighting games, but also winds down with Pokemon or Sonic games
is a pretty respectable loser and always compliments his opponent on their skills. has made a few friends just from being nice. however if he runs into a shit talker, they're about to get their shit rocked.
likes to make you involved in the games he plays no matter how little.
has you customize and name his characters and picks the stats. He also lets you pick the choices in story based games
he loves playing games while laying back against your lap & having you play with his hair
Tumblr media
feel like kiba's also a console only player. he's one of those people who just has an entire bookshelf with xbox and switch games
he really enjoys rouge-like games and pixel indie games (Hades, Hollow Knight)
100% a COD/Apex Legends player
has the biggest fucking ego when he wins, but is a shit talker as SOON as he loses
one of those gamers who camps out stores to get his hands on a new game
has the WORST LUCK on Mario Party. Like literally ends up last no matter what, yet still keeps playing
teaches you how to play Apex and Overwatch and by teach I mean this man literally TRAINS YOU to be good
does not hold back in 1v1's cause "If I hold back you won't get good."
but he's always giving you tips whenever you lose a game and encouragement when you win
cries when you get your first Play of The Game
soon y'all are a feared Overwatch pocket duo. Genji/Mercy, Reinhardt/Ana, Lucio/DVA.
has you sit in his lap while he plays and gives you forehead kisses before every round starts
Tumblr media
this man just has a Switch and a PC & has fully fleshed out Minecraft servers on both
to no one's surprise, he's really into Minecraft and Stardew Valley. he likes being able to do things at his own pace.
but also enjoys RPG's like Octopath Traveler and Final Fantasy
the worst person to play Mario Kart with because he knows all of the fucking shortcuts
AN ABSOLUTE DEMON IN SMASH BROS. mains Mii Brawler, Ridley, and Bowser JR
makes the most intricate yet aesthetically pleasing Animal Crossing island
the two of you have shared Minecraft servers and Stardew Valley farms
is the luckiest Mario Party player ever. LITERALLY will have no coins and lose EVERY MINIGAME and still win somehow
really into games like Fallout and Skyrim, but does not care about his reputation. Like he's the type to always pick the fight option no matter what.
takes notes on what games you seem interested in and buys them for you.
will find a way to marry you in any co-op game that allows it and will get mad if you romance any character that isn't him. "I'm the only person you should be romancing."
"Shika, those are pixels."
"A set of pixels that wanna steal my girlfriend."

AU where Xue Meng, Mo Ran, Shi Mei run a small Minecraft server for them, where it's only them (and anyone they invite) when one day a new person pops up with the username "Nyanning" joins.
Of course Xue Meng and Shi Mei were confused, spamming Mo Ran with messages. Asking him who this new person was when they left again. Mo Ran responded with a co-worker of his that Xue Meng didn't know. To which Xue Meng started complaining about "How don't I know them! Who is it?"
Then another time he joins again when Mo Ran is online and he introduces this person to Minecraft. Leaving Xue Meng and Shi Mei wondering why Mo Ran invited someone who didn't even know how to play. Watching from the side as Mo Ran saves them from dying too many times. (he failed and Nyanning died 3799 times)
Soon enough they found Nyanning living with Mo Ran, in the Minecraft world, which surprised both of them as Mo Ran had never let anyone even live where he could see their house.
That was until they snuck into Mo Ran's house to piss him off and found their manager Chu Wanning playing on Mo Ran's Xbox, with Mo Ran telling him what to do.

Learning To Love Minecraft Again (A Thread)
Written by Daniel T. Gaming
I've been recently falling in love with Minecraft again. After so long of not playing it. I decided to pick it back up & play it again, and It has been one of my favorite things to play in SO long. However, I did a few things to spruce up my newly found interest.
Tumblr media
1. A Fresh Client I had decided to switch over from the tradition Minecraft launcher to the ATLauncher, a mod-eccentric client. And while it may look a tad confusing, it's actually very handy. I am now able to save as many different versions of Minecraft I wanted without my save files or mods controlling one another, unlike the official Minecraft launcher. on top of that, the official launcher also installs a bunch of useless Xbox junk because, well, Microsoft.
Tumblr media
2. Bringing Back The Old With the ATLauncher's ability to save as many versions of Minecraft with their own dedicated files & saves, I am now safely able to play older versions of Minecraft as my heart desires.
Right now, I'm playing 2 different versions, Beta 1.7.3 (A version regarded by a LOT of people as one of the best versions of Minecraft to play today), and Release 1.5.2 (The first ever version of the game I EVER played back in 2012). I will still pick up & play Release 1.20 cuz I do like a lot of the new decor pieces & things, but if I ever just want to play a standard game of Minecraft, I have these 2 versions to keep me occupied.
There's also the old legacy versions from Consoles that people are coming back to, but I haven't gotten to those yet, but planned on them soon.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. Making My Own Goals
My mind has always saw that "Beating the Ender Dragon" was the ultimate goal of Minecraft, and that once it's done, it's done. And while a part of me still feels that way, I'm slowly moving away from that, because that mindset has literally KILLED so many of my past Minecraft maps, and I deeply regret it.
So I started to make my own goals & my own rules. My current survival map never had a bulk smelting machine, so I added one. I never got to refine my mine & make it more like an actual mineshaft, so I got to go & do that.
I don't just want to make Minecraft a point A -> B kinda game. I want to make it a game about creating as much stuff as you can. There are people in this world who have been able to build worlds that have taken them over a DECADE to finish... so why not give yourself that same level of encouragement?
Tumblr media
4. Playing With Friends I recently managed to get a personal Minecraft server going on an old PC. And playing with my friends has been an AMAZING experience. It's actually pretty cheap to run a server nowadays, and Bedrock editions now have general multiplayer support, so playing with friends is now becoming even EASIER than ever before.
Tumblr media
5. Modding Makes The Difference Although I haven't got to do this one yet, I *am* planning on it, as it's been talked about by a LOT of people. There are actually a handful of mods out there that are not just for entertainment, but for bringing fresh vanilla-eccentric changes to Minecraft to keep its charm that it had in its early stages. Two that I have heard of are ReIndev & Better Than Adventure. Both of which actually run off of Beta 1.7.3 too, so that's neat!
I think personally, what these two mods are doing are GREAT, and I cannot wait to play them.
Tumblr media
6. Making It Personal
Personally, I've been handling the game on a more personal level, and not too personal to where it's overbearing, but I mean as in I like to just do traditional fan things that I've done long ago. Watch Minecraft videos, pull out the old Minecraft merch I had from when I was young, listen to the soundtrack, etc.
I haven't felt this attached to Minecraft in SO long, but I am glad it's coming back. I might make this whole thing into a video, but until then, I wanted to make this thread to tell you all how I managed to finally get back in touch with Minecraft.

Week 10 Gaming Communities, Social Gaming, and Live Streaming
Welcome back to Lam's Blog
According to Aarseth (2001) reflected, "If we consider 1969 as the birth year of the internet, then the history of the world's first video game predates that of the internet. Why hasn't anyone thought of studying games?" From here, game studies started to develop, looking at the value of games from perspectives like sociology, aesthetics, and design. For communication scholars, including relationships in game studies is a valuable idea.
Aarseth (2001) noticed social interactions in leisure activities. For example, studies found that online activities can help form friendships and provide social support, which can include learning, help, and social recognition. In video games, research has focused on how cooperation in games improves friendships, offers online social support, and builds social capital. The interest in social capital is significant because researchers hope games can provide a social space to make up for the decline of public spaces in the real world.
Tumblr media
According to "Top Social Media for Gamers: A Complete Guide for 2024" (Singh 2023), the gaming industry is growing year by year, with almost half of the global population being gamers, approximately 3.09 billion active video gamers worldwide. So what's the thing that keeps gamers active?
Let's pause to think about it...
Connections...
The connection between communities like Gaming Communities, Social Gaming, and Live Streaming has become a massive part of gamers' lives, creating connections, communication with others, online friends, and even careers.
Gaming communities are groups of people who share an interest in a particular game or type of game. They often interact online, discuss games, share tips, and sometimes organize events or competitions on platforms such as Discord, Reddit, and Steam. Gaming communities help gamers by providing a positive game environment and a sense of belonging and support. One of the great communities is The Hive, which currently has 151,918 members. This community is one of the largest Minecraft servers with a Discord community. Players always share creations, exchange things, create events, and find more friends in the community. According to Keogh (2021, pp. 209–222), local game development scenes, like the indie game scene in Melbourne, thrive because of strong community support and collaboration. This community aspect encourages creativity, innovation, and the sharing of resources, which is crucial for both developers and gamers.
Now, let's talk about social gaming. This concept revolves around playing games with others, whether they're friends, family, or strangers. Social gaming ties relationships closer between gamers and brings people together. It breaks down barriers and makes it easy to bond over shared goals and challenges. I remember countless nights spent playing "Overcooked" with friends, laughing hard and complaining to each other until we hit the goals of the mission. "Overcooked" is a really fun and trending game online. I highly recommend you play it with your friends, family, or game partners. You'll find that ‘cooperating’ with teammates in games can be challenging but more enjoyable than frustrating. 😂
Furthermore, game streaming has seen explosive growth, with Twitch leading the charge, boasting over 7.25 million active streamers in 2023 and accounting for 76% of all streamed gaming content. In 2022, viewers watched 22.4 billion hours of live streams on Twitch. YouTube Gaming also saw significant activity with 490,000 unique channels. According to "Top 20 Game Streaming Platforms and Sites (2024)" (Capermint, T 2024), the reason why live streaming is gaining popularity is that it allows gamers to broadcast their gameplay to a global audience in real-time. A game streamer can earn between $50 to $200 monthly with an average of 5 to 10 viewers, and $100,000 to $200,000+ with 50,000+ viewers. Many pro-gamers choose to become full-time gamers, but for me, it's more fun just watching someone play a game (I won't admit I'm bad at playing video games).
Viewers can chat with the streamer, be influenced to play the same game, or interact in other ways. It's a two-way street that traditional media can't offer. Personally, I love watching "Mobile Legends: Bang Bang" live streams (Mobile legends: Bang Bang n.d.), because I want to learn more pro skills, improve myself, and cheer for my favorite team. Furthermore, live streaming has given rise to new careers. Streamers can make a living from their passion, supported by gifting, donations, subscriptions, and sponsorships. This shift has democratized entertainment, allowing anyone with a computer and an internet connection to potentially become a star.
Overall, Twitch is a game streaming platform worth trying. If you are also a gaming enthusiast, why not come to Twitch and experience its charm for yourself? For me, gaming communities, social gaming, and live streaming have allowed us to connect well with global friends. I hope you share your gaming experience and explore more in these fun digital spaces. Just take the digital world as your playground, meet new friends, play around, and stay happy!
By the way, I need game partners who can help me achieve victory. Comment down below if you'd like to play with me *heart*.

Faith faith faith gimme some c!faith lore I wanna know more (hey that rhymed)
OKAY SO c!Faith is a world jumper!! She’s got three main worlds that she hops between, those being Lunightia (my singleplayer world, her home world), a server called Wander SMP that is whitelisted and has its own lore (I employ a popular fandom trope called “story magic” to explain how this can be the same character even with all of the insane bullshit that goes on over there, and why it doesn’t follow her between servers) and Islandcraft! Which, for our purposes, also has story magic, although it’s gotten pretty out of control since it involves near-total amnesia and is affecting the server’s Admin(s).
She does not have any control over her powers and most of the time does not remember jack or shit about what goes on on the other servers she’s on, the rare exception being that she might sometimes remember stuff while on Lunightia, have dreams/nightmares about her other servers, get deja vu for no reason she can understand, or if it makes a joke work. You know how it goes!
Before she managed to settle with Lunightia as her home world, she jumped through a lot of worlds, usually with a specific person whose name and face she can no longer recall, but alone on occasion. (This is based on my experience playing Minecraft on Xbox 360 and Pocket Editions before they shut down, lol)
I’m assuming you’re not looking to hear about Lunightia, though, you want to hear about Islandcraft right?
Well.
She, like c!Kitty, is trapped within the narrative. That being the giant, semi-unstable time loop they’re both stuck in. Fortunately for them, the precise combination of how my headcanons work means that neither of them will permadie because of this arrangement (a combination of “Players are immortal,” “Story Magic can fuck with time,” and “I mean, is it really a time loop if you’re not resetting everything, down to the biological level?”)! That doesn’t mean there can’t be Angst, though >:3
See, c!Faith is a water dragon. She has gills. She shouldn’t, really, be able to drown at all. But her fate in this loop is to drown with c!Kitty, every time. She shouldn’t need a ship, but she’s a pirate- she could hardly sail without one, right?
And yet. She’s only a pirate after meeting him for the first time (the tenth, the twentieth, the hundredth time). She has to relearn it all, every loop.
How to swordfight. How to rig up the sails and the ropes. How to aim the cannons, how to read the maps, how to find the long-forgotten treasures, how to steer the ship from all the way in the back. It’s not second nature, even now.
One thing she knows, though, is that the world shouldn’t be like this. It’s weird. Sand doesn’t come in pink and blue and black. There is no yellow biome in the Nether. She knows this. But… How does she know? She can’t remember a time before the world was like this, can’t remember any other worlds at all. (She doesn’t think about it. Don’t think about it, just let it simmer, quietly, driving you slowly, steadily mad as you struggle to remember something, anything-)
Unfortunately for her, she’s not going to be getting any answers any time soon! This world is just slowly mutating and she is powerless to stop it :)
Fun fact about c!Faith! She’s 2’10 (picture a Maine Coon but a dragon) and adores endermen even though you’d really think that such a small creature would be at least a little intimidated by the height difference. She can also walk quadrupedally, if she wants to, but mostly doesn’t because being able to use your hands is actually pretty convenient and, shockingly, it’s really difficult to do that if you’re standing on them.
Now, to be clear, the premise we’re building Islandcraft on is that this has happened before, and it will happen again. This isn’t even close to the first time they’ve played through this song and dance. It won’t be the last. These pirates and their Vaguely Desperate Godlike Entity are going to be running this whole shebang for a good, long while yet. That being said…
…This is our first time playing this out, so not all of the details and plot holes have been ironed out yet. Also it’s, like, really late, and I haven’t consulted literally anyone else about all of the things that I just said, so if there are some small contradictions please assume that the other person is right

Do the blorbos play video games? If so, do they play single-player or play with friends, and what types of games do they enjoy?
SORRY FOR TAKING SO LONG TO GET TO ASKS I'VE BEEN HAVING A WEEK
I honestly haven't thought of that much! I don't think most of them are the gaming type or they're just too busy for it.
Avery used to game when he was a kid, he had something like an XBox 360 or Playstation 3 and he probably liked first-person shooters a la Halo. He was probably also into something like Pokemon, although he kept it to himself. Nowadays he's just too busy to game in general and it's not really an interest of his anymore, but he keeps the console around for nostalgia's sake and his stash of Pokemon cards is somewhere in his closet.
Ollie's a big fan of music/rhythm games like osu and Love Live, and they probably had a big Geometry Dash-esque phase when they were younger that they had to quit for their own sanity. I could also see them enjoying uh. THV's equivalent of Minecraft. I don't know how that would work but do you see my vision here-
Claire is the biggest gamer of the cast and likes playing a wide variety of games, especially indie games. If a game has an artistic vision that catches her eye, she's on it. THV's world probably has some equivalent of the Sonic franchise which Claire absolutely adored as a kid and her fanart of not-Sonic characters and OCs was probably her introduction to drawing and posting art online in general. Claire would also like playing not-Minecraft—she and Ollie would have their own server, but she would play on it more.
Jade was a big online game player a la Armor Games, Newgrounds, etc before school got too busy for her. She mostly played lots of platformers and puzzle games, especially ones with a good story. But now she gets most of her gaming fix from watching Let's Players.
I can see Terry having had a terrible gaming addiction in the past, so they do not game anymore. Somewhere out there, their RuneScape account remains forever dormant...

I feel like I’ve never explained this before, so here is the reason my username is avdiobliss!!
So one day I was making a Spotify playlist and i was going to name it audio bliss. And then I went “holy crap, that’s really cool”
I then sat and thought to myself about how I didn’t want to waste that on a playlist no one was ever gonna see, so I wanted to make it my user on Spotify. But ‘audio bliss’ didn’t seem right, and always in usernames it’s a ‘0’ for an ‘o’ or a ‘1’ for a ‘l’ so why don’t I change the ‘u’!! And that’s what I did. I then became obsessed with the idea of avdiobliss, the nicknames it could produce and the recognition of my love of music.
It didn’t. I attempted streaming (we don’t talk about that.) and cause no one was watching i couldn’t try it out :(
But when going into chats, and playing minecraft on servers, people would call me dio, or bliss. And I loved that. It was a way for me to be me, without revealing my actual name. And from there on it stuck. If you ever want to find me on any socials, my proper constant account will be @avdiobliss . Every. Time.
It’s more classy than the “eliissuperior” i used to go by, or even my xbox handle, but it makes it difficult when I meet someone and they go “what’s ur user?” And I have to sit there and spell it because no one knows what I’m saying because of the v. But I love it.
And that is the story behind my username :)

i have a decent video idea about fandom culture - more specifically minecraft roleplay in public servers - but will i ever do it? probably not
read more about it under the cut
so like. i was gifted my ipod touch at 9, my first opportunity to have a personal experience with the internet, and i liked playing minecraft on a family member’s xbox 360. thus, i enjoyed watching minecraft youtubers and played mcpe shortly after getting my ipod. one of the youtubers was aphmau, a youtuber who made skits as her main content. to my child brain it was true cinema and i wanted to engage with it more than just watching it. logged onto mcpe one day, went to my favorite server called lifeboat (it’s shitty now don’t use it), and lo and behold! so many people were roleplaying characters from or based on aphmau’s skits! i was blown away!
so of course i plucked some skins from skinseed and went to work befriending people. i started out roleplaying canon characters with (presumingly) other children, doing silly goofy things like making our ships sail and being slightly homophobic (which did happen. i have a very vivid memory of myself as a guy kissing another guy on a dare and then running away screaming “I’M NOT GAY EWEEWEW EW I WOULD NEVER KISS YOU EVER”. so. that occurred)
but i also dodged being groomed at least twice while on lifeboat so it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows
i could probably come up with a lot more things to write about but that’s the start of it. how people latch onto something so tightly that they engage with it thru very interesting means and stuff
