despite antagonizing each other every time they appear together they are incredibly in sync and almost are telepathic re: everyday life and battles . and despite each being the antithesis of the other’s principles allen basically sacrifices himself to his evil soul roommate AND the police (disgusting) to help kanda stay at his childhood friend’s dying side, and so too does kanda join that police force Again (after he was able to escape. because he hates them and resents them and was forced to be there) to help allen escape from them. to repay that debt….

Leorio and Kurapika (1):
