apparently i have hypothyroidism:D
i can‘t blame my fatness on that since it‘s said to only cause like 5 excess kg but like. what if i take so many pills or whatever my doctor is going to prescribe me that i develope hyperthyroidism. cause those people apparently have a harder time gaining weight.
but then again after a check up they will not give me any more pills. and i will gain weight again. not as much of a masterplan as i thought it was
honestly no idea what i‘m babbling i‘m desperate

Oh- right- so I had this talk with someone who also had thyroid problem. I have hyperthyroidism and it’s why my metabolism is fast. But side effect is goiter which is awful because I’m a woman but with Adam’s apple. Which may be cool I guess. But I’m taking meds anyway. But hey- so that person who also had hyperthyroidism NOW has hypothyroidism. Which means she’s no longer thin- our hated word, fat. And she said however she tries to eat less, it’s just hard for her to lose weight. Damn this problem with thyroid. I of course want to get well. But I wouldn’t want to develop hypothyroidism. It’s gonna end my ana lifestyle. End of rant

I’m diagnosed with GERD and hyperthyroidism. Yep. I was told to gain more weight when I already gained 5 kilograms in a month. I’m 45 kg now. How much fat should I put in? I can’t skip meals. And I have to take meds. And go take labs. Fck I’m gaining. Fck I’m no longer thin. And I can’t eat cabbage and family. No more salads

Hyperthyroidism is such an insidious thing. It spikes blood pressure, which wrecks the eyes, heart, and kidneys. half the time the kidney damage isn't even visible on bloodwork until you get the thyroid and BP under control.

/ 076 & 073 hc 's because i can
076 ;
- trans woman , most of that anger is brain damage and gender dysphoria
- had a cult dedicated to her once , it was not a good thing
- her brain doesn't have the same ' code ' as that of regular people , preventing her from getting addicted to things because she lacks the ability to get addicted in the first place mostly due to the brain damage
^ could fund cigarette companies single handedly
- autistic 076 canon fight me , also has hyperthyroidism ( copy paste ; Hyperthyroidism happens when the thyroid gland makes too much thyroid hormone. This condition also is called overactive thyroid. Hyperthyroidism speeds up the body's metabolism. / Excess levels of thyroid hormones can then speed up the body's metabolism, triggering a range of symptoms, such as: nervousness and anxiety. hyperactivity – where a person can't stay still and is full of nervous energy. unexplained or unplanned weight loss. )
- rather skinny ( due to hyperthyroidism ) , could still throw a man though a metal wall no problem
- was a very social and active kid , caused extreme damage to the ankles of anyone she didn't like
073 ;
- 073 just has a fuck ton of mental problems including hallucinations that led to 076 dying in the first place , if he had actually been able to receive working care that wasn't the scarlet king none of this would have happened
- yes eve and adam did go to the scarlet king , father of all monsters , creator of all rot , god of cruelty , the endless dream of servitude , to help manage cains mental illness . this goes badly for everyone involved including the scarlet king ( who genuinely had good intentions despite being literal evil incarnate , he could not predict cain would absolutely lose it due to his power )
- has hypothyroidism ( copy paste ; An underactive thyroid gland (hypothyroidism) is where your thyroid gland does not produce enough hormones. / Hypothyroidism is a common condition where the thyroid doesn't create and release enough thyroid hormone into your bloodstream. This makes your metabolism slow down. Also called underactive thyroid, hypothyroidism can make you feel tired, gain weight and be unable to tolerate cold temperatures. )
- despite this , he is rather lower in weight than is safe due to suffering from an eating disorder
- also autistic , will break down if he has to take medication that has powder in it
- has memory issues rivaled only by 076 ( was on autopilot from five days after killing 076 until getting contained literal thousands of years later and was SO very confused when coming back to his senses )
- was a reserved kid and rarely spoke , he used to bite people who interrupted his reading

lil vent- tw mentions of hypothetical animal death, animal illness, stuff like that
Tumblr media
so my cat azzy went to the vet a while back and they said he has a heart murmur. he's lost 2/3rds of his weight in the past couple years. (he's also had a cone for a while (got it off recently) bc of a bad reaction to a flea bite, but that's unrelated)
his fur's not as soft as it used to be and he's not acting the same. he's always been very dramatic, meowing when you walk past him to make you think you hurt him so you feel bad. lately, he's not been doing that, and hasn't even been meowing when you actually step on him (i accidentially stepped on his tail, and all he did was let out this sad little cry when i went to pet him and apologize). the weight loss and heart murmur are signs of hyperthyroidism, which isn't good.
i'm just really worried about him. i feel so bad, and i'm just really scared that he's going to die soon. he's my first pet (alongside my dog, who i'll also miss a ton, but he's very healthy. same with chloe, my other cat) and i'm not anywhere near ready to let go. i know it's probably nothing to worry about, but we haven't gotten another appointment to confirm what it is, and i'm just so worried about him. i'm not ready for him to die. i love him so much, and this is my first experience with this, and i'm so fucking scared. i don't want him to die. he's my perfect little crybaby and i love him and he's old and sick and i'm not ready for him to die. i don't want him to die. i love him so much. i can't put it into words how much i love him, and how much i already miss him, because he's not acting himself.
he's not being dramatic and he's losing weight and his fur isn't as soft as it was just a month ago. i'm so fucking sad and scared because i don't want him to die. i love him. i love my cat azzy. i love you azzy. please don't die on me please i'm not ready i don't want you to die i need you to stay with me you can't be sick you have to be okay i'm not ready to say goodbye
i love you azzy. please don't go. you're so important to me and i can't handle this. i love you.

In Baltimore City, MD: Lovely 15 y/o senior fella with pretty, sparkly blue nail caps is seeking a home for his golden years - BARCS, Baltimore MD
- Senior in Need-
Peppercorn- 15 years, altered male, 7.3lbs
FELV-/FIV-
"Hey there, I'm Peppercorn! I may be 15 years old, but I've still got plenty of delightful 'cattitude' left in me. Sadly I was surrendered to the shelter, but let's not dwell on the past; I'm all about the future and living my golden years like a superstar. My previous family said I'm laid back and loving, and they're absolutely right – I'm all about lounging in the sun and getting my daily dose of chin scratches."
Peppercorn's previous parent noted that as he's grown older, he has been less interested/less tolerant of other cats and kids, and was also starting to have accidents outside of the litter box. Although he may just finally be ready to be the center of attention (I mean, given his age, he's earned it), not feeling well may also have been a contributing factor as well.
You see, a full medical workup done through our shelter has revealed that Peppercorn has an elevated T4, meaning he is hyperthyroid. He has been started on a prescription Y/D diet for now, and it is recommended bloodwork be rechecked in a couple of weeks to reassess values. He's lost a bit of weight since arriving in our care and vets aren't too concerned at this time, but we are monitoring for any further weight loss just in case.
No senior should spend their days in a shelter, and handsome senior guy, Peppercorn, is of course no exception. He deserves to spend the rest of his golden years in a home in luxurious comfort.
Peppercorn is available immediately for rescue pick-up.
Please let us know if your organization can help!
Thank you,
The BARCS Rescue Team

So ever sense we saw Caleb one thing has been irking me. The fact that Caleb seemed to have white hair at a young age.
Tumblr media
Like obviously people can have premature white hair but it seems like such a weird detail to have. Especially with the known related characters (Hunter and Philip) having different hair color.
Tumblr media
Hunter’s is a two tone (I think that is what you call it) blonde.
Tumblr media
And Philip has brown hair.
Now yes it could be a genetic mutation but then the trailer dropped. (Spoilers under the cut)
Tumblr media
Caleb looks gaunt and tired. I saw someone make a comment how he might of had a fatal illness and came to the Boiling Isles for a cure so he won’t leave Philip alone (please tell me who said that I want to give them credit).
So while I was bored at work I decided to look at chronic illnesses that could lead to white hair and I came across hyperthyroidism.
So I’ll start out with saying that there is a connection between premature grey/white hair and hyperthyroidism. It doesn’t have any proven research but there is a link and is a believed to be a possible cause.
Then I looked at the symptoms
Unintentional weight loss, even when your appetite and food intake stay the same or increase
Rapid heartbeat (tachycardia) — commonly more than 100 beats a minute
Irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia)
Pounding of your heart (palpitations)
Increased appetite
Nervousness, anxiety and irritability
Tremor — usually a fine trembling in your hands and fingers
Sweating
Changes in menstrual patterns
Increased sensitivity to heat
Changes in bowel patterns, especially more frequent bowel movements
An enlarged thyroid gland (goiter), which may appear as a swelling at the base of your neck
Fatigue, muscle weakness
Difficulty sleeping
Skin thinning
Fine, brittle hair
(Mayo Clinic)
Weight loss and fatigue are obvious in that photo.
What if Caleb experienced worsening tremors which prevents him from being able to carve. I am going to assume that was his job. He possibly could have heard of a folk healer who could cure any illness. Caleb goes to her for healing. Philip follows as well wanting to hang her for being a witch. The witch panics and they all end up in the Demon Realm.
This will likely be debunked but I don’t care.
TLTR: Caleb has hyperthyroidism no one can change my mind.
