Just some Critical Role fanart of bread and some gals being pals next to it. ☺️ This was my first CR fanart cause dang these witches have a powerful hold on me 😅
okay I may or.may not be slapping out a drabble rn cause it's 12:26 AM and I am shaking and trying to breathe cause I am far too excited about this cause @scatterbrainedbot made a comic that put everything I have been running thru my head for DAYS into shapes & colors. Cause like look look okay
Do you know how much that robot changes things? Changes that whole scene??? Do you understand how heartbroken I am rn?? I am in a state of utter suffering because of this one scene. He had PLANNED for this!!! He had wanted to come back! BUT HE COULNT .
I can’t believe one of my very favorite shots from the entire movie wasn't originally scripted.
This amazing beautiful heart stopping soul filling moment was just a “spur of the moment” decision? My god. And it fits. It completely fits the headspace they’d be in after everything they’d just been through together. It’s the easiest thing in the world to believe that they went to sleep like this - emotionally drained and exhausted but so happy and not wanting there to be an inch of space between them. Alex’s death grip on Henry’s wrist because he’ll be damned if he’s going to wake up alone again. Henry’s smile as he stirs and feels Alex’s love literally surrounding him the way he’s always wanted to be loved but had resigned himself to never having.
Every day I learn something new about this movie that makes me love it even more.
Did you guys notice that when he's laughing/full heartedly smiling he closes his eyes? How his eyebrows soften, his regular wrinkles get softer, small smiling wrinkles show up? Cause I most definitely didn't 👀
I would just like to continue this post on Vash’s riding (this covers how steady his hands are) because, well because I have a problem called Trigun Stampede and I’m gonna make it everyone else’s problem too.
Someone at SO did their homework.
Vash is riding balanced laterally (left/right), not leaning to either side, and he’s got a nice 2-point going on (heel/hip line with his upper body forward). He’s moving fast so this helps him stay with the motion of the bird and off its back. In this gif, his reins are loose (not an issue to me). The ball of his foot is positioned correctly in the stirrup and his heel is slightly angled (someone else might want more angle, but I’m not bothered by his because when you’re running and jumping all over it’s not gonna be perfect).
This next pic, he’s got contact with the bird’s face (I don’t think it has a bit based on pics). He’s got a nice clean line from elbow to the bird’s “mouth” - and elbows are elastic, he can lengthen or tighten reins easily by extending or bending (smart :) And his knees and ankles are bent, absorbing impact.
Here is a reference pic of a show jumpers (pic is from Horse Rookie Show Jumping Guide).
In the last pic, the bird is jumping, and Vash is leaned in with the forward motion (you don’t want to get left behind and rip your mount’s face off). He’s pretty low, but so is the bird and I’ve seen jumpers really low on their horse’s neck, and I’ve never ridden a bird.
Edit to add: he’s low as the bird jumps, and then I caught a frame where he’s more upright as the bird lands.
A bird doesn’t have a big ass shoulder and withers like a horse to help hold the saddle over the back and ribcage, so I have no idea how that would work, but this pic looks decent. I looked up Ostrich racing, but it’s all way out of my league.
