I'm slowly rewatching Smallville and I think in episode two Lex just stoled an apple from the Kents? Like they were literally packing the apples to sell them and Lex just picked one without permission. And I mean is just an apple and I'm normally all in for people stealing basic necessities but Lex is a bilionaire why is he stealing apples? Go pay for it your little bourgeoisie trash.

Season 7 has been really meh so far. I don't like the way Kara says "Kalel" all in one word. And the corn queen episode was painful.

What I DO like is Clark saving Lex, superspeeding away with him IN HIS ARMS, and KEEPING VIGIL BY HIS HOSPITAL BED. Even though they're just arguing. We can't have everything. But we can have some things.

They didn't introduce Otis early in the tv show because he would have 100% saved him from being the villain. He'd be like "rip Clark but I'm different" and unconditionally love that man.

listen I know the bar's on the ground and constantly sinking, but I do appreciate so much that Lex (in his early 20s) is cognizant of the fact that Amy (middle schooler ?) is obsessed with him, and So Clearly indicates non-interest by literally not engaging with her very much at all, and doesn't do anything to encourage her or give her false hope, and doesn't start and maintain vulnerable communications and private interactions, and doesn't embarrass her by confronting her about her feelings. It's not like he's told her directly that he's not interested, but just seeing him not even entertain her crush or take advantage of it in order to get an ego boost is really nice, actually

But we're all the way in S4 and I still just really want to say: WTF is with Lex's obsession with the Clark/Lana ship!!??? Why is he so weirdly obsessed with their relationship and getting them together?????? Still?????

I stopped watching sv at episode 4x15 and don’t really plan on continuing after seeing the direction they were taking it, but I was curious if there are any episodes you feel are a “Must watch” or your personal favorites that you would still recommend seeing?

so I think 4x17 is the last good episode of Smallville and a really good stopping point. I'd just skip the last 5 minutes or so (scene between Lex and Lionel) because dumb things are implied that kind of ruin the episode imo

beyond 4x17, every decent episode is still kind of awful to me because despite some great moments they end up being meaningless every time. The reset button is hit at the end of every episode, and there's no amount of good Lex can do to avoid being treated like scum by the "good guys"

that being said, my list of possibly worthwhile episodes would be: Lockdown, Lexmas, Nemesis, and Fracture

I got convinced to watch one (1) episode of Smallville after living in abstinence of the show for over a year and a half. I knew it was a mistake and yet I did it anyway. I have now relapsed. And ah. The pain.

This episode has at least 3 plots, possibly more depending on how you count them. That's... So many. Possibly too many.

In other news, Lana's back in a (so far) non Clana invoking format, which is a big ol' yippee from me!

EDIT BEFORE I EVEN FUCKING POST: false alarm, Lana showed up at the wedding just as Clark and Lois were about to kiss so I guess I'll just die then. The slowburn Clois will continue to burn slowly. Whatever. Not like I cared anyway (lie)
