just saw a heart-wrenching edit on tiktok (sad music and all) about q!cellbit and the way he interacts with the eggs and i just...
i remember when i was still getting into the qsmp (which i did from cellbit's pov) and was scrolling the wiki on the daily, trying to figure out past lore and relationships and everything
and every single time i clicked on an egg's page i would end up seeing cellbit's face somewhere in the relationship box. and it always made me grin so wide because it was just...cute. and then i realized a lot of them had even mentioned things like him being one of their favorite tios or whatever and i'm just so. fucking. soft. about the idea of just-
this guy. comes to this island. in the middle of nowhere—doesn't really know how he ended up there, doesn't remember much about where he came from, nothing. and, like, it's natural to be a bit skittish or at least defensive, especially when there's already so many people here, because you don't know what they will do to you, how they'll react to anything: they are essentially unknown entities.
and if you really think about it, that completely includes the eggs. because although they're just kids, q!cellbit was canonically in a war at, like, age 15. he's definitely not one to underestimate someone because of their age—he is damn well aware of how scary people can be, regardless of what their age is.
but then they start interacting, and, like—tallulah gives him flowers, and ramon picks him for a partner in the boat race, and he's able to joke and play around with chayanne and bobby, and...in a way, it's like seeing himself, or rather, what he could have been.
because he never got that; he never got to do that. he can see the relationships they have with their parents—tallulah and chayanne with phil, ramon with fit, dapper with bbh, bobby with roier and jaiden—and he sort of comes to realize, like, "these kids don't know." they don't know what it's like to be at war. they don't know what it's like to end up in jail. they don't know what it's like to not be able to live because you're too focused on surviving. whether it's been that way in the past and they don't remember or not, they don't know.
and, inwardly, he decides he's going to make damn fucking sure it stays that way.
so he starts collecting flowers, to give some to tallulah the next time they meet, and the way she beams assures him he'll continue. and when ramon makes a mistake in the boat race and starts beating himself up about it, he empathizes and reassures him. (practically makes the poor kid cry.)
he sees the way chayanne takes the lead around the younger eggs and takes note, making sure to joke around and play with him whenever he can—because he may be the oldest, and the most responsible, but he deserves to have fun, too.
all of this includes richas, of course. in fact, it's even more exaggerated, to the extent that (in some ways similarly to fit) he mostly lets richas do what he wants, only growing concerned or stern if the kid's life is in danger. (because he saw what happened to bobby, and he's not going to let it happen on his watch.)
because there's enough pain in the world. chaos runs rampant on the island, from the federation to the codes, from the kidnappings to the tasks, from the bombs to the capybaras. there is death at every turn, and this island can be deceiving, because it doesn't seem like it. it seems perfectly fine.
but he knows.
he's been in this position before, where everyone and everything is trying to kill him. he's familiar with the concept of survival. and this island is survival.
but these are kids. they don't need that. hell, he had that as a kid, and look how he turned out. no, if he has anything to say about it, nothing will seem out of the ordinary. as much as he can help it. he will gives flowers to tallulah, he will make jokes with chayanne, he will explore with richas, he will spend time with ramon and dapper—all to offer even a semblance of normalcy.
so uh the fluff part of this train of thought is over so click off now if you don't want the hurt <3
but then things start to change. bobby dies, and the federation teases them about it, dangling the child above their heads. the codes ramp up their attacks. the kidnappings start to increase. people die and respawn more frequently. and the more he tries to get free, to get away from the island, the worse things get for the current inhabitants.
he meets pomme. this terrified egg that's been trapped behind a wall since before he even got there. and he realizes that he won't be able to shelter them forever.
things are going to happen, one way or another, to shatter the fragile illusion of reality the islanders are trying to create for these kids. in some way, the curtain is going to fall, and it is going to hurt. it's going to hurt as badly as it hurt him when he was thrown into battle. it's going to hurt as badly as it hurt him when he ended up in a top-security prison when he was barely an adult. it's going to hurt as badly as it hurt him when the wool was yanked away from his own eyes by that white bear not a week after his arrival on the island.
so whatever you do, don't think about what it must've felt like to find that book. don't think about what he must've been thinking as he flipped through those old, yellowed journal pages. don't think about him reading that lost egg's words, and just thinking, "god, this could've been me."
because it very well could've been.
the book literally talks about not wanting to survive, but wanting to live, and all he can think about for the rest of the day is how it was abandoned. same as him—only one was on a battlefield, and one was in this tiny-ass room. and there was no warrior in shining armor, no police officer taking pity to pull this egg out of there. he had someone. this egg had no one.
so of course he switches out the keychain on his backpack. because carrying that egg with him is like carrying a piece of himself, in just the same way that all the eggs feel like a piece of himself.
he can't protect the eggs forever. he knows that. but that doesn't mean he can't try.

The 6 chapter epilogue moves to 'end' the Tododrama this chapter leaving a divided fandom...
For me I think that given the story the Todorokis have had up to this point it both makes sense and is the best we could have hoped for. I'm not one hundred percent happy with it, but I defiantly don't view as negatively as a lot of people seem to.
First off Touya dying makes sense and this is perhaps harsh but I hope he does. People theorizing that the mysterious Tenko like figure is Shigaraki and he will heal him and the rest of the LoV with his restored Overhaul powers is insane to me. With only four chapters left idk how that would even be covered or concluded, since even if they were healed they would all still be put in prison--it wouldn't erase the fact Touya killed 30 innocent people by his own omission. So, how Hori would cover that kind of plot in a cohesive way in four chapters is beyond me. It's pretty much people wanting a worse story because they want their favorite character to live.
Also, I'm a bit frustrated that yet again people are acting like Enji should die instead and making wild accusations based on nothing. Namely that Touya dying supposedly soonish negates Enji saying he'll watch him and his death will let him off the hook so to speak.
Enji has shown that he really loves Touya and feels immense guilt and rightful responsibility for how he treated him and his the rest of the family. Touya dying doesn't suddenly heal his permanently crippled body or give him back his Hero job. It will only make him feel worse. Also it's not as if once Touya is gone he'll ignore the rest of his family either. He still owes them as well, and will probably try to help them in whatever way he possibly can.
People acting as if Touya's death will free him or that afterwards he'll go on with his life completely happy and forgetting about him is just not in any way accurate to what we've seen of his character.
The other thing I've seen floating around is the idea that if Enji had been killed off during the first PLF War, Shoto would have saved Touya and the family would have been happy in the end. I don't think that's true. I will admit I'm bias because I like Enji and I'm not a fan of Touya, but given how Hori seems to have delt with the LoV and villains in general (unless he pulls a 180 and heals them last min) I think Touya was always meant to end up dying slowly in a hospital or get some other bittersweet ending.
BNHA is not grimdark by any means but it is not the idealistic manga of the past like Naruto. Hori punishes characters that make bad choices no matter how understandable or even shitty the choices they had were. Aoyama, despite helping defeat Afo, being a child and under the threat of death to him and his family, still drops out of UA because he feels he still has to earn his place there. Bakugou dies and his heart and hand will never be the same, while also having to deal with the guilt of Izuku loosing his Quirk (if that sticks). Enji, even though trying to change and atone for most of the Manga's run is still left permanently crippled, the job that meant everything to him, lost, his legacy gone.
For Touya who killed so many people without care, only to get back and his father. Who plotted to kill his little brother despite knowing he was abused. Not caring if his plans got his other innocent family members killed. After everything we've seen with other characters who did far less wrong and tried hard to amend those mistakes getting harsh consequences, I doubt it was ever the plan to have Touya sitting at the table with his family eating his favorite food with a smile, regardless of Enji being alive or not. To suggest that Hori only had Shoto fail because Hori needed Enji to be involved just isn't true. If Hori wanted to give Touya a happy ending he would have--many fans have already come up with how that could have happened even with Enji still alive.
The only criticism I agree with is Rei's ending. You can defiantly read how she wheels Enji around and answers his phone as them being back together or in the very least her becoming his caretaker. Now, That might not be the case--she could just doing those things because they were both going to see Touya and she's just helping him out that day, while they actually live separately, with Enji having a paid home assistant that couldn't or wouldn't go with him to see Touya (because of the stigma or visiting regulations). The issue is that we just don't know for sure and Rei has been shafted pretty badly.
That said, I wasn't expecting much from/for her anyway. I think getting a little blurb about what she was doing like Natsuo and Fuyumi did would have helped, but I sort of doubt Hori had any idea what to do with her character outside being Enji's abused wife and Shoto's mom. With him rushing to get these last chapters out I'm not shocked he just stuck her in the background, especially when Enji and Shoto as secondary characters needed the screen time.

Hey got a question why in the world was Dick Grayson a cop like wtf.
Also I kinda hate that the cops are actually given like credit, in the comics because other than Jim Gordon I don't think any of them aren't corrupt as fuck.
Also your telling me that most if not all of the bat siblings don't Oink Oink everytime Dick walks in a room bullshit.
I just feel like why did we make a vigilante a cop I thinks it's a catch 22 in a way.
Tell me if I'm wrong
Also, I know I'm a Jason Todd stan saying ACAB I get that, but I don't support the death penalty in real life. I feel like I have to say that but it's because in real life everything's too corrupt and fucked up to get an accurate admittence of guilt.
Yet in comics books you can stalk and find out for a hundred percent if someone is guilty which I do think a rapist should be murdered horribly because the crime has no redemption it will never have redemption.
And I know I'm gonna get hate for that because I already get a bunch of hate for even liking Jason Todd.

I often see people describe Spider as a neglected child. Do you think that is totally accurate? Would Norm and the other scientists have set rules and boundaries? If Lo’ak and Spider did something stupid together would Jake punish both of them? What would a scene like this look like?
I don't think Spider was PHYSICALLY neglected, as in the adults always made sure he had food, water, medical care, and a safe place to sleep. But was Spider EMOTIONALLY neglected? Yes, I think so. The High Ground comics don't go into much detail about Spider's relationship with the people who raised him, the McCoskers, but what little we do see is nothing like the love and care Jake and Neytiri have for their children. I definitely don't think McCosker ever abused him, and I'm sure the other humans would've stepped in if he ever physically neglected him, but I one hundred percent believe the McCoskers emotionally neglected Spider. When Jake decided to move the Omaticaya and the allied humans to High Camp, Spider was packed and ready to go, and he didn't seem to care about never seeing his foster family again. Same with McCosker. McCosker was annoyed with him for trying to run away with Kiri, but he didn't really seem to care that Spider would prefer to live with the Na'vi and loyal humans over his foster family. If a kid is willing to leave behind the people who raised him for 14ish years without even saying goodbye, there is clearly something wrong with the relationship between the kid and the family. That emotional connection, knowing that there's an adult who loves you and would help you if you were in danger, just wasn't there for Spider like all the other child characters have.
(it seriously kills me that every time another child character was in danger, there was an adult rushing to rescue them concerned about their wellbeing, but when Spider was in danger, the only ones who did anything about it were A. the other child characters, which didn't end well :( and B. the war criminal who needed a 3-hour movie to realize he actually does care about his son)
As for the scientists, I'm sure they cared about Spider and made an effort to teach him things (I headcanon that Norm is the one who taught him to read and write and other basic human stuff while the Sully kids taught Spider the Na'vi stuff) but at the end of the day, they weren't his guardians and weren't responsible for raising him, teaching him rules, and disciplining him. That would fall to McCosker, and as far as I can tell with McCosker, it looks like he just gave up on raising Spider and lets him do whatever he wants as long as he comes home to sleep at night. We could speculate that maybe McCosker was a better parent when Spider was younger, but based off of how one of Spider's earliest appearances in the movie is him running around in the jungle with unkempt, matted hair and his only adult supervision there because he was with the Sully kids, we can guess that McCosker wasn't always that invested in raising Spider.
When it comes to discipline, I don't think Jake would feel like it's appropriate for him to discipline Spider and would prefer to leave it to McCosker. That's what he did in the comics when the boys were in trouble for exploring the battlefield. Jake makes it clear in both the comic and the movie that he does NOT view himself as a parental figure to Spider, and thus he's not responsible for disciplining him when he fucks up.
I'm very curious to see if Jake's relationship to Spider is different in A3. Since Spider went through literal torture to keep High Camp safe and ran back into a battlefield with zero hesitation to help Jake find Kiri and Tuk, I wonder if Jake will decide to properly look after Spider instead of just letting him hang out with his kids. I've seen some folks say Jake's "a son for a son" line is meant to symbolize Spider's adoption into the Sully family, but I don't think an adoption should happen until A. the Sullies know Spider saved Quaritch and they resolve that situation, and B. Spider and Neytiri resolve their issues.
Whatever ends up happening, I just want Spider to have the same love and protection that all the other child characters have. All children deserve to have a parent who loves and protects them, even if they have made some pretty big mistakes like saving Quaritch. If Jake can be forgiven for helping Q plan Hometree 9/11, Spider can absolutely be forgiven for only sparing his life when all his other actions opposed him.

Hello 👋
Recently I've been looking into the whole therian/fictkin (I can't spell)/alterhuman ECT communities because at first it was just for fun and to see what the internet has been doing lately but it's started to feel less like a polite exploratory thing and more a thing I've been considering in myself.
I don't really know why it's all of a sudden become a thing I'm personally interested in but it has and I'm very confused.
I don't think I'm a therian because I got basically none of the "criteria" ( I know it's not like a list you check off but I'm nothing like any of the therians Ive seen online) and it's mildly distressing when I think too hard about it.
Ive been asking around but no one has been responding and I'm hoping maybe you can help as you've stated that you are an educator.
I have a list of things I felt like may fit along the lines of the aforementioned identities (sorry if that's the wrong word to use. I'm really nervous and trying to be as respectful as possible)
- When I was a kid I used to wish I could build a den/nest and used to get really sad when I had to take down my pillow "nests"
- I had a fascination with things that could fly and always wished that I had wings. Not necessarily that I was a type of bird but more like a hybrid human with wings.
- sometimes now I wish I had wings and it's almost like I can feel them stretch when I flex my back
- I had a fun idea to create horns once and I couldn't sleep thinking about how much I couldn't wait to make them. And when I made them it just felt so right to have them on. They felt natural.
- Sometimes I'll just run around my backyard whilst no one is home and it gives me an amazing sense of being free.
- Ive always been fascinated with the forest and ever since I was a little kid I used to imagine living in the forest all on my own and making a treehouse to live in away from society.
I honestly don't know if any of that means anything and I'm really really sorry for such a long message but I just really need some answers or guidance right now. Literally anything could be helpful if you have the time to read this.
Hope you have a good day
Hi! I am of course never able to tell people whether they are alterhuman of any kind or not. This is simply something that you can only tell for yourself. All I can do is give advice on how to look into your identity more accurately. So I will just review the things you've mentioned and give advice if I see fit. You can do with this what you want. My advice is also not the answer to everything.
While it's good to take your childhood into account, it's also very important to realize that as kids, we have a way bigger imagination. Unless you really feel like your urges and behaviors from the past weren't completely human, wanting to do things as a kid usually does not say much. I often recommend for people to mostly look at what they experience now, unless the past holds any significance despite childhood imagination (I'm therewith not stating however, that what you experienced is imagination and not alterhumanity. That's something I cannot know). I'm just saying that in my opinion, what you experienced as a kid isn't always one-hundred percent reliable. But do surely take it into consideration alongside your current experiences!
Feeling phantom wings is definitely a potential alterhuman experience. What's mostly important is to think for yourself whether you focus on the phantom wings on purpose when you believe you feel them, or if they are simply there naturally. While even natural shifts may sometimes occur when you consciously focus on it, any sign of consciously inducing a shift might mean that the experience was not an involuntary experience (and therianthropy is of course mostly determined by that). So the question is rather if you ever experienced such phantom sensations or other types of shifts, behaviors, instincts, and/or urges without thinking about it at all. Or if something somewhat unrelated triggered you into such a state.
Having an affection for nature and deliberating actions are debatable things. Because humans are instinctively also drawn to nature, and running around would probably be a freeing experience to anyone. It's always important to nuance your experiences with human instincts to at least some extend (while sometimes, of course, it may overlap) The question is rather how it made you feel on the inside. Do you feel like you aren't your human self when you do these things? Or do you feel like your human self mixes with something else? Etc.
In the end, it's really about how you define yourself and the nonhuman experiences you have naturally. And be mindful of the other alterhuman terms as well. You say you might be a humanoid creature in some way, so do not be afraid to look into Otherkin and the like as well! Therianthropy is really about that natural animalistic experience. If you do not have that, that doesn't mean you cannot identify as alterhuman/nonhuman!

This probably meaningless but i think a comparison we can draw between kazui and amane is that Kazui has stated that hes seen by his family as a disappointment and Amane is seen as like the ideal good child. I'm probably making shit up but yeah 👍
I am so sorry for the late answer. I thought I had answered and just realized today that I hadn't done that. I don't believe it's meaningless.
I was just discussing the overlapping similarities between the prisoners. Specifically in reference to how they answer the family question. Shidou and Kazui both answer it in a way I find incredibly interesting that leads into the validity of your statement in my opinion.
When asked,
Tell us your family structure the prisoners answer with,
Prisoner 001 Sakurai, Haruka: My father and my mother and me.
Prisoner 002 Kashiki, Yuno: Grandpa, grandma, mum, me, younger brother←Yura.
Prisoner 003 Kajiyama, Futa: Father and older sister.
Prisoner 004 Kusunoki, Mu: Papa, Mama and Mu.
Prisoner 005 Kirisaki, Shidou: Wife and two children.
Prisoner 006 Shiina, Mahiru: Papa, Mama, Mahiru.
Prisoner 007 Mukuhara, Kazui: It’s only me now.
Prisoner 008 Momose, Amane: It was my father, my mother and me.
Prisoner 009 Kayano, Mikoto: My mother, me, and my younger sister. My sister’s a blossoming high school student.
Prisoner 010 Yuzuriha, Kotoko: Grandmother, father, mother, older brother.
Kazui and Shidou both use their marriages/found family or current status within the family to avoid elaborating on the structure of the household they were raised in. Which was one hundred percent the question and others have answered it accurately including Mikoto who we all know doesn't even live with his sister or mom anymore. So, these two just chose to give answers that were convenient for them.
The way they answered makes them the only people in Milgram we don't know the sibling status of yet. Even Amane is alluded to being an older sister through the credits of Magic but that could be a status given to her within the structure of her religion.
So, we don't know if they were raised by single parents or both if they have any younger or older siblings or a twin. Because they've willfully chosen to omit that information by focusing primarily on the households, they've created not their family overall.
Something that in Shidou's case is understandable given he's paired with Mahiru and both of their stories focus on romantic love. So, there being a focus on his marital relationship makes sense in context of his pairing.
It only gets weird when one takes into consideration that the Shidou we see in Throw Down working in the hospital has a mole on between his neck and collar bone. An area that the Shidou in Milgram is conveniently always covering by wearing a turtleneck or some sort of shirt that keeps the area where that identifying mole is hidden at all times.
Tumblr media
Going as far as to sleep in a fucking turtleneck in Throw Down for this reason.
Tumblr media
Plus, the one time it's alluding to him doing doctor shit it's conveniently shot from an angle where we wouldn't be able to see the mole anyway. Since it's on the right side of his body and we are seeing the left side. Not even touching on the fact that the likelihood of having twins increases if one is a twin themselves and many have speculated the children in Triage are fraternal twins.
Tumblr media
This trend of showing this mole off and then covering the person that area when the character that is undoubtedly Shidou is shown continues throughout Triage.
Tumblr media
Made even worse through this scene where we see Shidou reaching out to a guy we know isn't him because both of their hair is a different color they are wearing different clothes- And if those two things aren't enough.
Triage expressly shows us they have different fucking haircuts as well.
Tumblr media
All something that will remain highly speculative simply because when asked his family structure he conveniently omitted having any parents or siblings and simply focused on his marriage.
Which is better than Kazui who uses the concept of being disowned to omit having any family at all. Yet conveniently mentions his victim was his wife now. Unlike Shidou who at least answered the fucking question even though he scratched it out.
Which is even weirder since the Kazui is paired with someone who's entire story is deeply rooted in familial issues and yet we know nothing about his family. We don't know if he was raised in a two- or single-parent household if the family that he states views him as a disappointment are his parents, in-laws, siblings, cousins etc.
Hell, we don't even know if Hinako was being referred to when in his statement about family viewing him as a disappointment. But we have to assume she is because she's the only fucking person we have confirmation of being his family at any point in time. Even if that confirmation is tentative at best.
We know more about his childhood friend than his family background and nobody seems to have questioned that.
Overall, I don't think you're making shit up or reaching, but we have so little information on Shidou and Kazui's families that pursuing this train of thought is damn near impossible. It's made even weirder for Shidou because he states this in his second written interrogation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
X
So, his family was greatly involved in him getting into this relationship but he just omits them because technically they're not apart of my immediate family structure anymore. Like okay sir do you have a mom? A father? Siblings? Like what the hell? You got to know your wife through your family you can't mention them now? Okay...alright whatever.

MADRE SOLO HAY DOS SPOILERS
(otherwise known as just my thoughts on the third season). Don't read if you haven't watched it yet! :)
*******************
1. I, too, binged it while hiding from my family on Christmas.
2. Though in fact I only binged the Ana/ Mariana plotline and skipped over pretty much everything else.
3. What were the guys even doing? I don't know.
4. I liked how Ana became more involved in the LGBTQ community, learning about it and confronting her own stereotypes, but also learning about very real discrimination that had never affected her before.
5. I also liked the (brief) exploration of her sexuality and how she became super supportive of Ceci, because Ana finally understands that life is a journey.
6. However, to anyone saying that Ana is a lesbian now... do you not know how bisexuals or pansexuals work?? I'd call her queer, but not a lesbian because that's just not accurate.
7. My favourite scene was perhaps the one where Ana told Mariana about the book she wants to write one day (if anyone maybe wants to gif it?). Yes it was cheesy but it was also VERY GOOD.
8. I agree with previous opinions that Mariana's side of this story however was underdeveloped. There should have been some hints of her returning feelings for Ana and less Ferran.
9. Ferran was just randomly axed to make space for Ana, right? I mean, I'm not complaining.
10. Ana in love was very cute.
11. Ana and Mariana covering each other with blankets on separate occasions was also very cute.
12. Did anyone else notice that for the final scene, Mariana wore a necklace with a lock on it, and Ana one with a key??? Seems symbolic to me.
13. I wasn't a hundred percent sure if they were actually together at the end?? Because the way Mariana said "I love you too" and then that very brief kiss kinda felt ambiguous to me?
14. Anyways I guess they're in a long distance relationship now. But I still would have liked a clearer signal (and more kissing).
15. I don't mind that the final focus was on Tere and her baby because I actually think this entire family is a beautiful message. It's messy as hell but they all ended up where they wanted to be.
16. It's a suitable end in case this was the final season.
17. MSHD went where OUAT did not dare to go. Kudos for that.

4. Oneiromancy by Lorenzo Mastroianni
this artist is a fucking genius, he knows his work for one hundred percent, and even if he didn’t know what he was doing, i don’t give a damn cuz i love this art sm. a billion color that perfectly gathered in one place to blow your mind with this stunning vibe of an enchanting dream. god i wish that were me
also funfact, this card is the most useful of all that exist in gwent
Tumblr media
3. Francesca Findabair by Lorenzo Mastroianni
Lorenzo is a great artist, we all know that, but i have a lot of unprocessed feelings about this art. i love it? i hate it? i don't know shit. i love the way francesca is portrayed? yes. is she dangerous and you can feel it? just fuck yes she will kill me with her look. does she look like a beautiful fairytale queen from dreams? bless her. i'm impressed by the architecture that surrounds her? fuck yeah. does she look to me like a woman straight out of the work of alfons mucha? hell yeah!!! but do i hate this plastic snakes she casts? undoubtedly.
Tumblr media
2. Ulfhedinn by Anna Podedworna
i'm very weak for every stuff with werewolves and this art is just bomb like yooo this art really instills the idea that there is no one stronger or more dangerous than this motherfucker
giants? dragons? witches? wild hunt? no fucking way i'll be afraid only of this asshole
Tumblr media
aaaaaaand drum roll to the main winner!!!!
Triptych artwork featuring Munro Bruys, Zoltan Chivay and Figgis Merluzzo by Yama Orce (
you have no any idea how much i adore this art. this is simply incredible in everything! muted color palette, the confusion in the background and sense of movement even without help of an animation program, the design of the key characters, their poses and emotions. they are damn filled with anger and courage they want revenge for their loved ones and comrades and this can be seen in the way they put all their strength into strikes and clashes they have no mercy for invaders. they're here to pay these bastards back for everything they've done
but the most important thing is that this is a scene from a book where my favorite characters kicked nilfgaardians ass
also i really love the fact that artist used his photos as a reference for poses he needed to draw :D

I shall enable
Okay so. I'm going to write this on my phone and try to add a read more that hopefully works.
Warning: Body horror, nonsexual nudity, and unreality.
So here we go.
Tumblr media
Man's hand has too many fingers. Also, I don't think the wrist slims down like that from the arm.
Something about the arm just looks... off. I think it's how skinny the elbow looks in comparison to the rest of the image.
Man has a really deep armpit. I'm also not a hundred percent sure if that's how the pectoral muscle falls against the shoulder.
My favorite part of this whole piece. His hand is clenched, loosely, under his skin. Can you see that? What do you mean, those are his abs? Abs aren't hand-shaped!
Literally look at how low his legs are from where his hips are. Look at how the frontmost leg is his left leg even though his right side is facing us. Look at that twisted anatomy, that massive calf in the back, those knees. Because that's anatomically correct.
Speaking of anatomically correct, what are those people in the bottom-left corner doing? Throwing a party? Please stop. I will get the bouncer
Man's right eye is literally yellow. It's a different color from his left eye.
What is going on with that wing
Middle woman now. The top of her head above the crown is bald. The AI engine didn't register that her hair style should continue past the crown. You can see the attempt, but not enough.
Speaking of her hair, what's that weird bit doing in front of the man? The rest of her hair is flowing but this one is all clumped up.
The crown is resting on her hair instead of on her head. If it were made of metal, it'd fall around her collarbone. There's just nothing to keep it on there.
Why do her nipples look like that
What is that line between her boobs that goes past her ribcage and down to her hip? Is that anatomically accurate? I don't THINK so? What was the AI trying to do there? She also has two belly buttons because there's no way that's a belly button piercing THAT high over the belly button.
I forgot to mention her irises are different sizes.
And her nostrils.
Her right hand is two hands merging into one. That is so sexy.
What's not sexy is how her waist and her hip are just. Too long? Too wide? It just seems off. Compared to the other side, it seems to come out too far.
I'm trying to remember why I circled her legs, though. Maybe they just seemed too long to me at the time. Her right leg does look a bit odd near the bottom, though--it slants weirdly toward where her knee would begin.
Hand take 2: Electric Boogaloo.
What the fuck is that artifacting under that thing she's holding. How could you possibly excuse that.
Person in the back. What the fuck happened to their arm. What happened to their wrist. Why is their ring finger the background
Their eyebrow melts from a shadow on the bridge of their nose into their forehead.
Collarbone anatomy! Honorable mention: The red ear. I didn't circle it because I couldn't tell if it was in the right place or not, but why is it so orange?
I think I circled it to point out the broken anatomy but holy shit flash back to the woman in front. A piece of the top of her arm was cut off. Ouch. Also her hair has that typical 'painterly AI look' to it. Anyway. Back to the person in the back.
Specifically look at where the torso ends and the hip begins. Imagine if your hips started right below your ribcage.
Now imagine if your hips started right below your ribcage but then skipped forward a little bit and suddenly you have another set of hips. Seriously. This is how anatomy works apparently.
So yeah. That's this trainwreck. Let me know if you see anything I missed. This is hilarious and I am obsessed. Specifically by the hand stuck under the guy's skin like oh my god. That in itself is art.

Hope I'm not bothering you but could you talk more about historians taking ownership of historical figures? I like reading history books but don't want to support anyone who thinks like that 😕
That post was mainly about Newton, but some “historians” express that ideology with their attitude like Chernow, rather than outrightly state they think they know a historical figure the best (You're more likely to see Tumblr users doing that).
Anyway, you brought another issue to mind, which is that a historian's work can still be valuable even if they publish inaccuracies or possess bad traits. It's about filtering through and still being mentally independent enough to know you shouldn't alter your thoughts or interpretations, to bend at the knee of historians thinking they're always factually correct. For example about the two previously mentioned historians; Newton has made remarkable and influential discoveries about Hamilton, his findings at Nevis are wholly essential and important. Without them, we would know a hell of a lot less about many mysteries or aspects concerning Hamilton's childhood home island. With that being said, you should also question his takes - like I still don't believe his take on Hamilton's birth year - just because he found a bunch of documents, doesn't mean everything he says is going to be a hundred percent true or concrete. And with Chernow, a large chunk of his infamous biography is inaccurate and his sexist/homophobic narrative often distorts the true story. After all, he isn't a historian in any sense, he's a journalist—Meaning his goal in mind is just to have an interesting story to publish in the end, wether historically accurate or not. But again, his biography is one of few that covers almost everything about Hamilton's life. He sheds light on documents or letters any commoner would not have.
My point being, different aspects can be important, and in my personal opinion, I wouldn't throw out reading anything by a certain historian just because of their questionable background because there can still be use there. Although if you truly just don't want to support them, Z-Library and Internet Archive, my guy.

This was so fascinating to read, I love it, I'm always impressed with how detailed world building can get !! 🤯 I'm guessing you had to do a lot of research in order to determine how each waverider power works ?
'Had to do' wouldn't be quite accurate because tbh, a huge part of my brainstorming process when coming up with stories I want to write is basing them around things I'd like to learn more about in the process. Like, you know how I dropped out of college freshman year on account of my Traumatic Backstory and all that, but truthfully, even if that hadn't happened I don't know that I would've ever graduated college otherwise anyway. I've never excelled in traditional learning environments. Like, by most standards I did well in high school, but that was because my entire approach to learning was geared towards optimizing my test-taking and making sure I measured up to the standards of what I was SUPPOSED to know in order to get into 'a good college' or whatever, but there was only so far that same approach was going to take me in college. It was learning by technicalities, accumulating just ENOUGH knowledge and skills to meet the requirements of various curriculums. I wasn't really....learning how to CAPITALIZE on the knowledge I was picking up, or doing the best at figuring out how to put it into practice.
In contrast, long after I dropped out of college I realized that the only real way to get me to excel at learning was to get me hooked on the subject matter enough to like.....bait me into wanting to know as much about it as I could. Like I figured out that I had a BETTER grasp on the things I picked up when excited about a story concept I wanted to write and looking to learn as much as I could about the relevant subject matter in search of new angles or elements I could mine creatively.....than if I'd spent like, an entire year in a classroom being taught the same concepts.
My approach to story research has never been about technical knowledge, like, crossing my i's and dotting my t's to make sure the details of what I'm writing are accurate.....its always been more about like....the more I read about a subject, the better grasp I have on the in's and out's of it, the better I am at seeing or picking out where there's really interesting stuff that can be the basis of unexpected subplots or plot twists.
And so it eventually occurred to me that if I started picking out which story ideas I pursued not just because I thought the idea was interesting.....but because all the stuff that went along with the idea, the subject matter - scientific or historical or socio-political, etc - was stuff that now that I was thinking about it, I was interested IN, and wanted to know more about.....like.....in the process of researching that story and figuring out the best angles for developing it, I was likely to learn so much more about the related subject matter than I ever would by taking an actual class about the topic.
Basically, I call it weaponizing my tendency to hyperfixate in the pursuit of knowledge, lol.

This was cool thank you! It did take me a couple read-throughs to not just picture all of these people riding on skateboards with their light and sound waves floating around them
Oh that was absolutely one hundred percent deliberate on my part, lol. Don't forget, you're talking to someone who unapologetically watched the fuck out of Fast & Furious: Spy Racers. This particular project has always been one I've pictured playing out in my head as an animated show like Arcane, and given the anti-gravity and solar technology a lot of this world is predicated around, hoverboards & hoverbikes abound. Racing is a bit of a global past-time on Talwei (the planet this is set on).
In fact, beyond the general hoverboard/bike tech, lots of different waveriders (most of whom are absolute adrenaline junkies as a general rule of thumb) have specialized kinds of racing they partake in.
For instance, the original settlers seeded a lot of the atmosphere with floating crystalline deserts, like salt flats made of quartz, because solar energy is a huge source of the planet's energy supply and these crystal flats are tapped as wide-scale solar farms. And a lot of brightriders use solar-powered skiffs in (mostly illegal, lol) races across these crystalline deserts. With their control of light wavelengths, they can directly influence the way their sailing skiffs are powered by the surplus of energy available in those environments AND they can kinda sabotage their competitors at the same time, by manipulating how the lightwaves interact with and empower their own crafts.
(Waverider abilities are just as much about the ABSENCE of the energies particular to each 'rider type as they are the energies themselves. Torchriders can 'generate' and manipulate cold just as readily as they do heat, just by removing or redirecting the heat away from various places. Painting with negative space, as it were. Echoriders can do the same things with silence in the absence of sound. Brightriders, despite their names, use darkness as much as they do light. There's a technique commonly referred to as a 'shadow soak' where brightriders drench their surroundings in darkness.....but most waveriders don't even have to think about the fact that they know they're not actually generating darkness or soaking an environment in it, they're REMOVING brightness, concentrating the ambient light in locations just on the other side of their shadow soak/cloak. So in my head, the brightrider races across crystal flats are actually a really sharp, randomized contrasting of bursts of illumination and swaths of darkness as various racers try to give themselves light-boosts while draping shadows across the other skiffs to slow them down).
And then there's torchriders.....Talwei doesn't have any natural landmasses, which means no natural oceans either.....there's plenty of atmospheric layers with clouds that have precipitation that can be harvested, and the artificial landmasses the settlers created to float in their anti-gravity wells and build their cities on have artificial lakes and rivers....but the vast majority of water Talwei uses comes from the ice rings around the planet (like Saturn's). There are cities built onto the ice rings and with their own artificial atmosphere - not everyone wanted to live on floating cities within the gas giant itself - and the inhabitants of the rings mine the ice and send it down the planet's gravity well as their primary source of trade with those who live w/in the gas giant.
They also use heat to melt the ice into lakes and rivers for their own cities, so the ice rings include thousand mile long stretches of ice and rock and artificial thermal geysers aimed at melting the ice and generating rivers in various intervals.....so torchriders have their own version of racing along the ice rings that's more like....paragliding with caped bodysuits to protect them from the temperature extremes as they use their abilities to manipulate thermal updrafts to soar and bank or douse others' glide currents to leave them in their wake. Which uh....the dramatic interactions of hot and cold fronts by inexperienced torchriders in races has been known to accidentally create a kind of tornado alley that the racers have to navigate so torchrider ice ring races can be VERY dangerous, and are definitely not dull.
But because these are a people who believe firmly in one upmanship, other waveriders delight in even more dangerous past times. Ironriders wear pressurized bodysuits with metallic lining that they can demagnetize and remagnetize at will, using the same polarization technology sky-ships utilize.....and they basically....bodysurf directly through the electromagnetic currents that extend throughout the planet's atmosphere. While skyriders dive off the top (and bottom) of floating cities in their anti-gravity wells and use their own abilities to essentially let them toggle between freefalling and bungee-jumping up and down through the wells. Shockriders use their abilities to race along electromagnetic tracks akin to the ones bullet trains use.
Etc, etc.
The waveriders of Talwei have always had a soft spot among my original creations for being among the most batshit people (collectively speaking) I have ever come up with.

A Novice's Cynicism
Beginner Skepticism and how I got over it
"It's all fake. They shuffle the cards a certain way so they get what result they want."
Tumblr media
It's understandable to have plenty of doubts when starting something you're not a hundred percent sure of. Every new piece of information you learn feels so different and almost alien from everything you're familiar with. Here I'll elaborate on how I got through that hurdle and skyrocketed through my Tarot journey.
Stigma and Skepticism
That was how I felt, when starting out with Tarot. Especially as a child being raised by super religious Catholic parents. Every other practice that was not Catholicism or Christianity was looked down on, with Tarot and other similar divination methods getting the brunt of it all and getting associated with black magic or even the devil.
Still, I remained curious. I'm an avid reader of fantasy and the themes of tarot being used as a storytelling device fascinated me, but that was the extent of it at that time. My preconceived biases still nag at me at the back of my head.
Tumblr media
"It's all fake. They shuffle the cards a certain way so they get what result they want." I would tell myself, constantly. I was in a constant contradiction with myself, in that I found the practice interesting, but not enough to rid of my skepticism to actually get into it myself.
I stuck through with it anyway. Studying the meanings even though I had doubts. Pulling a card a day and just going through the motions. I remember vividly during one evening I was feeling awful from the aftermath of a friend group falling out. I downloaded a digital tarot deck and did a simple reading. I looked at the cards and out loud, I murmured to myself. "What am I doing? There's no way a single card can predict the future. That's just silly."
Breakthrough of a Beginner
That was where I was mistaken during my beginner days. Tarot isn't just magically seeing the future. You can't just expect the cards to give out the solution to all your problems. They're just pieces of paper and you are a living human being. I started to have a much more pleasant time with Tarot once I stopped seeing it as a lens to the future, but more as a way of seeking guidance through introspection.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another aspect I got completely wrong was assuming that Tarot was a uniform structured practice. That you had to own herbs, flowers, crystals and oils. Draw sigils and talk to animals or the air to commune and do seances. It kind of drew me away from Tarot initially, because I never was the spiritual sort of person.
As I learned more through the years, I figured out that Tarot means something different for everyone. It was a fair assumption, after all the only religions and practices I was familiar with are organized religions. In Tarot and other similar divination practices, you can just... decide that you don't follow certain parts of the practice that others usually do. The Aha moment when all of this clicked in my head definitely helped a lot more in accepting the practice and making it my own.
Overview
Despite not believing in more mystical aspects of Tarot like Zodiacs, Horoscopes or Astrology,  Tarot has allowed me to grow so much than I initially expected. My Tarot Journey across the years has been an exercise in open-mindedness and unlearning biases. Through Tarot I've improved a lot in my introspection skills and I'm able to find peace and think more rationally these days.
Though, despite being a natural skeptic of anything magical, I can't deny the magical vibe of Tarot. After all, isn't it crazy how there are almost two hundred different hyper-specific results you can pull in a reading, and somehow, a stranger who you don't know manages to pull the cards that accurately capture your current circumstances?

Hey there, can you write an Eddie Munson x gn!reader where the reader is into witchcraft and has spiritual beliefs? They might be collect gemstones or read tarot and i would like to see how Eddie would react this
Hello, lovely, thank you for the request! I sure can! I personally think he'd go crazy, but in the babbling excited kind of way.
Will I Graduate? | Eddie Munson x gn!witch reader
Summary: Jason sees your pentagram ring and accuses you of being a Satanist. Eddie steps in and protects you from his wrath. After declining his offer to sit with him at the Hellfire table, he goes with you in the woods outside of school where you explain to him that you're actually a witch and not a Satanist. Eddie asks you to do a tarot read for him with absolute heart eyes.
Warnings: Jason (I really feel like he should be a warning lol), witchcraft, tarot readings, crystals, (I don't see them as warnings, but hey everyone is different), nervous reader
Words: 2118
a/n: I, like the reader, haven't done tarot in a very long time. This is by no means a guide book or probably one hundred percent accurate considering I had to do research because my memory was failing me. I checked with my actual guide to tarot book to make sure I didn't mess anything up, but I'm not perfect. I hope you like it my love and thank you so much for the request!
Requests are open! Master list

At this point, it really shouldn’t be surprising to you that Jason has it out for you. Between the fact that you always come to school wearing all black and the fact that you try your best to keep your head down, it was a recipe for disaster waiting to happen. The whole point of keeping your head down, and talking to literally no one, was so that this wouldn’t happen. But Jason “I’m the king of assholes” Carver, never really gives a fuck about what people want. Even more so when what you want is solitude.
Having friends wouldn’t be a bad thing, in fact you’d actually like to have someone to talk to. But there’s just never really been anyone in school that hasn’t looked at you like you’re some kind of freak. You’ve only been at Hawkins High for about four months now. So still being the new kid definitely hasn’t worked in your favor either. Today just seems to be the day that shit wants to hit the fan.
“What’s that?” Jason sneers, yanking your hand curling into the strap of your bag. You try to yank it away, but his grip is tight and firm, your finger going numb under the pressure. “You a satanist freak, too?” The jock pinches the finger adorned by your pentagram ring.
Fighting away the eye roll, knowing that will only make matters worse, you keep your voice small. You really don’t want to piss him off further, “no, Jason, that’s not-”
“A freak like you doesn’t get to say my fucking name,” he spits, grip only tightening, your jerking movements making it worse. “Are you fucking stupid?”
You grunt, trying to get him to release you, the tip of your finger turning purple, “let me go.”
“Just tell-”
“You heard ‘em, Carver,” a voice booms behind you. “Let them go,” the calm, powerful tone is one you’ve heard quite often in the cafeteria. “I’d really like to not tell you again, man,” Eddie warns.
With one last sneer, angry blue eyes narrow at you, “fine, touching them will probably give them a chance to sacrifice me or something,” dropping your hand harshly. The moment you’re released, Eddie’s arm curls around your shoulder, protectively curling you to him. “Fucking freaks,” Jason takes one last jab before storming away.
“You alright?” Eddie asks, leading you towards the Hellfire table and you freeze.
“Y-yeah,” you look at the group of boys, nerves souring your stomach. You appreciate Eddie helping you out, but you’re not ready to be the center of attention in a friend group you’ve never properly met before. Honestly, you hadn’t even wanted to be in the cafeteria, but your growling stomach got the better of you on your way to the woods behind the school. “Listen,” you start, fumbling with the wrapped sandwich in your hand, “thank you for helping me with Jason.” You step out of his grip and he lets you, smile only widening.
“Us freaks gotta stick together, right?” He winks at you, trying to lighten the mood and then tension in your shoulders. You manage a small laugh at his antics. “I promise, we won’t hound you or anything like that. But if you want to sit with us, you’re more than welcome to.”
“Thanks, but I was actually heading out to the woods for lunch,” you sheepishly smile, tucking your head to your chin.
“You really shouldn’t go out there by yourself,” Eddie’s voice sounds so full of concern that your heart swells. “We just want to be your friend.”
“I-” you stop yourself, not really sure where you were going with that. Then the words spill out of your mouth unfiltered, “you can come with me if you want to. Protect me from all the squirrels and bunnies,” you tease, keeping it lighthearted. Having company might actually be really nice.
“Okay,” he beams at you, “let me grab my stuff.” Eddie rushes over to the table, relaying a quick message to the boys before grabbing his metal lunchbox. Bounding back over, his smile hasn’t gone away, “ready.”
“Not that it’s any of my business,” Eddie asks, watching you twirl the pentagram around your middle finger. “But are you a satanist? I don’t judge, just curious.” Curious enough that neither of you cared that the bell for lunch’s end rang well over an hour ago. The two of you started talking and simply couldn’t stop. You feel like you’ve learned all there is to know about him and really hope that you get to call him a friend after today.
You like your solitude, but there’s something about Eddie being effortlessly kind that’s drawing you in.
You laugh softly at the question, not even a little surprised by it. “No, I’m not. People see a pentagram and are quick to assume that devil worship is the only religion that it could be associated with. I don’t work with him and have no intentions of doing so.” Your plan was to come out here and look for more crystals. Last week you were walking aimlessly and found a small chunk of smoky quartz. You were so shocked, you’d hoped you’d be able to find more if you came back. “I’m a witch. Or Wiccan if that makes you less uncomfortable.”
Eddie’s eyes light up, “so can you like, cast spells and shit? Like, the whole nine? Or what? Sorry,” his eyes widen, expression twisting with guilt, “that was super insensitive. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to be. I’m just excited. I’ve never met a witch before. And playing DnD I’m more than a little familiar with wizards. I just want to know more about you. I’m sorry.”
Giggling at his struggle, you bite away a wide grin. “It’s okay, Eddie,” you assure him. “I haven’t done much in the way of spells aside from some protection on my house and my person. Well, I do know of a type of spell that will basically see if someone wishes you ill will and how to return it back to sender. But I also charge my crystals under the full moon to help balance them and myself. And I read tarot- kind of, it’s been a while and I’m a little rusty.”
“No fucking way,” if at all possible, it looks like Eddie’s eyes are about ready to pop out of his head more than before. “Is- is it rude to ask you to do one for me?”
“A tarot reading?” You ask, chest tightening with anxious energy. You always keep a deck on you, but it’s been a long time since you’ve done one. You’re not even sure if you remember the meanings of all of the cards, it’s been that long since you practiced. But Eddie’s eyes are sparkling with excitement and sincerity, giddy as he practically bounces in his seat on the picnic bench. “O-okay. Yeah,” you clear your throat, “yeah, I can do that.”
“Hell yeah,” his lips curl at the edges as you dig into your bag, trying to find the small pouch that contains your deck and the crystals you use to help you.
Finding the felt fabric, you pull the purple bag with gold ties out. “Seriously, it’s been a really long time since I’ve practiced,” you warn him. “I don’t remember a whole lot aside from the basics. So, please, don’t make fun of me if I have to do this by the book.”
Eddie only shrugs, “when I first started as a Dungeon Master, I went by the book too. It takes time to learn everything and be able to do things on your own. I won’t laugh at you. Promise,” he places his hand over his heart as he vows to you.
Pulling the strings, you pull out the deck of cards that’s styled to look like Lord of the Rings, your crystals tumbling out onto the tabletop.
“As if you couldn’t get more fascinating,” Eddie coos. Your eyebrows pinch in confusion. Pointing at your deck, “Tolkien is a personal favorite of mine,” he explains, “didn’t know tarot cards could look like that.”
“Maybe I’ll take you to the shop just out of town that I go to,” you hide your smile in your focus of arranging your crystals in a small circle on the table. “There’s a lot of things there that you might actually enjoy.”
“I’d like that,” Eddie responds and you don’t see the fond expression on his face when he does. “Whoa,” ring clad hand pointing at one, “that one looks really cool,” he says in regards to your tiger’s eye. “What is it?”
“That's a tiger's eye,” you lift it, letting the light catch and flash golden hues in the brown, “see how it kind of looks like the eye of a cat when the light hits it just right? It’s kind of like my crystal, I use it with everything,” you reach into your shirt, pulling you the small black cord holding a tumbled stone. “It’s great for protection, empowerment, and deflecting fearful thoughts.”
“And the others?” He asks, looking at the rest placed around the table.
“That’s jasper,” you point to the red and brown crystal, “it helps to keep someone grounded.” Going around you point at, “pyrite, think of it like a shield. Sodalite,” you continue, “helps decipher messages and focus during meditation; great when trying to read tarot. And finally, crystal quartz,” you point to the biggest crystal you own, it’s a mini tower. “This guy not only can purify and charge other crystals, it works as an amplifier. Spells, intention, whatever you’re trying to accomplish, really.”
Eddie’s resting his chin in the palm of his hand, mouth open in wonder.
“That’s how I understand it at least,” you shrug, not wanting to misinform or anything like that. “Your own research will help too. Not that you have to. Okay,” you sigh, taking a deep breath to try and center yourself. “I’m just gonna keep it simple,” you say, shuffling the deck. “Think of a question and we’ll see if the cards are willing to talk. Okay?”
“Am I finally going to graduate this year?” Eddie asks without missing a beat.
Closing your eyes, you continue to shuffle the deck. One card throws itself out, but you keep going, feeling like it’s not quite done yet. Sure enough, two more cards get sfly out, clattering to the table. When you open your eyes, you see the Ace of Pentacles staring up at you. You can't even contain your smile, "that's a really good sign," you tell him. "The Ace of Pentacles is a sign of good luck, that if you go for something, chances of success are high. Wanna look at the rest?" You ask, pointing at the two that fell face down.
"Fuck it," he grins, "let's see them."
Flipping one over you find the Two of Cups and your cheeks burn. Typically meaning the romantic joining of two people. You don't know if you and Eddie are there yet, you've only just spoken today. Wracking your brain, you remember the other potential meaning, "this signifies a close bond with another person; romantic or otherwise. In regards to your question, maybe the cards are saying you need help in achieving your goal."
"Someone to help me study?" Eddie muses.
"Maybe," you tell him, "this isn't an exact science. Especially when I'm no expert."
“We’ll see about that,” Eddie smiles, flipping over the last card. You’d be angry about someone else touching your deck, but considering this read is technically for him, you don’t mind his energy being transferred into them. “Uh, so wands…is that a king? A Knight?”
Inspecting the card and seeing no lavish crown on the man’s head, “that’s the Knight of Wands,” you inform him. “He shows great signs of determination and willpower. If you want it badly enough, you have the means to do so. Unless they’re teasing or playing tricks, I’d say your odds of graduating this year are really well. Eddie.” You smile at him as you collect your items back into your small pouch.
Just as you both stand up from the table, the final bell of the day rings. “Wanna hang out at my place? You can show me that anti ill will spell.” Eddie asks, throwing his arm around your shoulder again, “see if Jason is more of a dick than he seems? Maybe you’re also the study buddy that I so desperately need. You any good at math?”
“Very good, actually. I’d like that,” you agree, wrapping your arm around his back as he leads you out of the woods, “do you have an egg?”

Tattoo Artist! Sukuna x reader (part 3)
Hey there again, I had a few ideas of where i wanted to take the third part, I'm very happy with what I came up with, it's very very fluffy, I hope you have a good time reading 💜.
Series masterlist here
Here's a playlist for fluffy Sukuna
Warnings: Language, suggestive tones, alcohol consumption (everyone is of age here, around 21/22), nudity? Not really described, that's about it.
Saturday was slow for Sukuna, he doesn't really like working away his weekends, but here he is, finishing up a chest piece that looked good if he had to say so himself. Everything was luckluster to him compared to the project he was still drafting for y/n.
Speaking of her she hadn't texted him all day, neither did Sukuna. He told himself he wasn't clingy like that, she texted him before she would do it again surely. Y/n didn't pay much mind to him not making contact, perhaps he was busy. She wasn't wrong, she also had initiated most of their text conversations, she didn't want to seem desperate. Sukuna was going to contact her when he was free.
On the other hand Sukuna was stressed, passing in the hallway between the reception and his work booth, checking his phone every once in a while, he was a bit snappier than usual, not letting Gojo's or Megumi's remarks go, he would answer back, his voice almost dripping with venom, he was very much pissed and it showed.
When closing time finally came he was ready to blow up, Gojo teasing him, only made him more agitated. Gojo knew something was bothering him and he wasn't planning on dropping the subject.
"Hey 'kuna, tell the truth, you took her out and she left because she couldn't stand you, that's why you're so mad."
The white haired man joked, you could see the smoke coming out Sukuna's ears.
"Don't call me that. For your information, me and y/n had a great time, quit being an bumbass I'm not mad." Y/n did enjoy herself right? It sure looked like it. Was Sukuna getting insecure? Yes. Could everyone tell he was lying about not being mad? Also Yes.
"Oh so it's 'you and y/n' now? You were right Geto, he's got it real bad, he's not even calling her 'some girl' or something."
Gojo continued to laugh, he was enjoying every single second of torment he was putting Sukuna through.
He had enough though, he grabbed his jacket and his keys, but just before he left the rest of his crew and Yuuji, who came to eat with Megumi to close, he called to the most rational person inside. "Geto, come on I'll drive you home." Sukuna needed someone to talk to, he needed to know he was in the right and not going totally insane. Nanami was really close to him but relationships wasn't a topic he would really touch on. Gojo was out of the question, the man was a womaniser, not that it was a bad thing but he wouldn't even take Sukuna seriously, he only wanted to annoy him for the time being. Megumi was also a no. He would spill the beans to Yuuji, he already had Gojo on his ass he didn't need two more idiots making fun of him, one was barely tolerable. That only left Geto, who has at least had a few solid relationships and he was trustworthy enough not to give him too much shit.
Geto grabbed the chance not to have to clean for one night, but he was very curious about Sukuna's sudden move to give him a ride home, he has never offered that before. Yuuji had tipped him off, he knew his brother wanted to get all of the attention, if y/n didn't make a move, his brother would go insane. He was surprisingly right, so Yuuji told Geto to try and get his brother riled up. Now Geto didn't exactly agree, but he wanted to give Sukuna a friendly nudge to the right direction.
Sukuna had already been driving for a little while, he couldn't find the courage to open his mouth and talk. Has he gone mad? Its not like he's clueless about girls, he's had many. Why was it different this time?
"So how come you wanna drive me around at night?" The raven haired man asked, eyebrow raised, ready to hear what his friend was so on edge for all day, even though he had an idea. Sukuna wasn't one to share feelings, he never did, he couldn't really tell anyone the reason why not a single word from y/n all day irked him so damn much. "Look, so let's say there's this girl right? You take her out, you have fun, everything is cruising perfectly, but then she doesn't really talk to you the next day." He said with a small pause "hypothetically speaking" He added, just to avoid further questions.
Geto looked at him with a blank face, although he couldn't really believe in his ears, Yuuji was right, he knew his friend was falling face first, it still surprised him. He saw the day that Sukuna was stressed for a girl, if someone told him even two weeks ago that this was going to happen happen, Geto most definitely would've laughed straight in their face.
"Well it depends really, for example did you text her and she didn't answer? Then yeah, she's not interested, but maybe she's busy, or she started texting first and she wants you to initiate." Sukuna blinked "You're right she's busy, she has a test too, maybe she has been studying, she'll come around." He said, the words came fast out of his mouth. Geto looked at him again more serious this time. "Look man, I know for a fact, you haven't texted first, you seem to really like her, don't be a pussy and send her one text." His tone was equally serious. "I'm just fond of her, that's all she's good company." Sukuna tried to brush him off, Geto wouldn't budge. "Call it what you want, I know you like the feisty ones, so do many people and you know how college kids are, one party is all it takes to lead to who knows what. Man up, when you do you can bring her around the shop too, you know we all would love to meet her." By the time Geto finished his sentence, Sukuna had already parked outside of his apartment to drop him off, they shared their good nights.
For the rest of his lonely drive home Sukuna couldn't help but think of that party his brother mentioned a couple nights ago, was y/n going to be there? And Geto's words kept replaying in his head.
Geto was smiling to himself walking inside his apartment knowing he did the right thing giving his friend a slight push.
With her hair just the way she liked it, her make-up done and an outfit that extenuated her best features, y/n was making her way down the street to meet up with Mai outside of Todo's place. The walk wasn't too long and y/n caught a glimpse of her short haired friend, who was also dressed to impress, standing right out of Todo's door.
"You didn't wait long did you?" Y/n asked, Mai smilled and shook her head, she was the late one most of the time, she did make it just a second before y/n arrived.
"Let's go, my sister and Nobara are waiting" she informed y/n, who nodded. "Really, I haven't seen Maki in a while, Nobara rarely shows up in class too." She said full of excitement, the girls were friends for a long while, even before college. Mai and y/n ended up forming closer friendship.
"Yeah they're about to remind us of how single we are." Mai loved her sister with all her heart, she was very competitive though and when Maki got with Nobara before Mai could strike up a boyfriend in college, she took it a bit personally. Then she focused her attention on finding someone for y/n, but that never went well. Hopping right up the stairs both girls were talking about what they would see tonight, more accurately who. "So Yuuji is probably going to be here, I asked Todo" Mai said her eyes hopefull, y/n rolled her's and her companion didn't let it go unnoticed. "I really don't get you, he's cute, you even said so." There she goes again, but y/n wouldn't let it slide this time. "You seem way more giddy to see him, than I do." She said, knocking on Todo's door who was waiting right behind it, answering in seconds. Mai was still dumbfounded, she hardly acknowledged Todo at the door and made her way inside with y/n.
Thankfully the sofa on Todo's living room they usually sat on was only occupied by Maki and Nobara. "Wow sis you made it on time for once without someone dragging you out the house." Maki hugged her sister tightly, "I didn't really have a choice, y/n said she would go home if I was late again." Mai, said with a bit of a whine. Nobara went for y/n. "She's giving you hell huh?" Her comment made the girl laugh. "Nah she's fine, she can be a bit of a baby." That line made Mai slap her arm playfully, even when they made digs at each other, it was all in good fun.
Y/n could see Mai out the corner of her eye scanning the room, it wasn't unusual for her to do that, but it was the fourth time the past 30 minutes they've been here. Something was definitely up with her, and when she raised her hand having finally spotted the one she was looking for, y/n was a hundred percent sure of what was going on.
"Yuuji, over here" Mai called hand in the air, a very friendly smile on her face. Yuuji eagerly walked over offering his greetings, his attention was on y/n "Hey, has my brother texted you at all?" That was an out of the blue question. Mai gave her a look "His brother?" She questioned, then looked back at Yuuji "You've got a brother?" Why did he have to say that infront of Mai, she wouldn't leave her alone until she told her everything about the guy, she was at least thankful he didn't mention a date, Sukuna probably hadn't mentioned anything to him. "Oh yeah, he's the one I went to last week and no Yuuji he hasn't, did something happen?" Mai stayed silent, so did the other girls, they planned on interrogating her later, judging by the looks they exchanged. "Oh it's nothing" Yuuji let out a breathy laugh, knowing he plotted with Geto to get under his brother's skin. Payback for the bagels he baked at 4 am was going to be sweet.
Yuuji took a seat next to Mai, who introduced him to her sister, Nobara already knew him short of and the two of them begun chatting casually. Y/n could see the chemistry between them as he complimented the dark haired girl on the way she looked tonight. She could see their eyes meeting, something more than friendliness resided in the looks they shared.
Y/n let her friend have her fun, at this point Maki and Nobara had adopted her taking shots, talking about the annoying situations that have occurred in the time they hadn't seen each other. Nobara in particular, was sharing her frustrations about men not taking her seriously as Maki's significant other and continuing to make moves on her partner. "I shut them down" Maki said proudly snaking an arm around her girlfriend's waist. "I know you do, I just want them to feel a bit threatened" Nobara's eyes drifted to the floor . "What are you talking about? Remember the time you just looked at that guy eyeing her and he mouthed 'sorry'? You're very threatening." Y/n took another shot laughing with the two girls. Her comment was quite comforting to Nobara and Maki knew that things always went Nobara's way, she just liked complaining sometimes, she was the jealous type.
Todo with Takada in hand, who arrived right after y/n and Mai, answers his door again for the multipluth time this evening, seeing the last person he expected. "I thought you were too old for house parties" he taunted at the grumpy man infront of him. "Screw you I'm 26, and I didn't come empty handed" Sukuna spoke, his tone getting a bit friendlier at the last words in his sentence. He passwd the two bottles of vodka he held to Todo. "Well come on in, Yuuji's brother is also mine" he said giving the pink haired man a friendly hug.
Sukuna's eye scanned his living room untill his eyes landed on the back of y/n's head, he headed straight her way.
Y/n heard a few girls around her making a fuss over some apparently really hot guy who just entered, but she didn't bother turning around. That was until she heard it "Huh, who would've known, you actually have friends" That voice was unmistakably his. Sukuna was here. Y/n's heart was fluttering in her chest but the alcohol in her system made it easy to come up with a comeback. "At least I don't pay mine to hang around me." She said, her voice laced with sarcasm, she still didn't turn to face him, she was frozen in place. Mai's, Maki's, Yuuji's and Nobara's eyes were wide and dancing between the two. There was for sure something going on here. Sukuna took a seat beside her casually draping an arm around the back of the sofa. "You're hurting my feelings doll, I'm not that bad" he spoke so softly, she almost got lost looking into his eyes. He looked way too good for her liking, same jewelry and eyeliner as the last time she saw him, his pink her strategically messed up, a silk black button down with the top two buttons undone, exposing his defined collarbones and the tattoos that extended to his chest and neck, black pants framing his thighs perfectly as he sat. Y/n was staring at this point, her friends were silent, taking in the image that was displayed before them. They had never seen y/n flustered or having difficulty forming words. Even Yuuji was surprised, seems like he was wrong about y/n's taste.
Sukuna was enjoying the look on her face a little more than he cared to admit, he would've taken his teasing further, but he didn't want to embarrass the girl anymore and her friends were already shocked. "Aren't you going to introduce me?" He asked her poking her cheek, and y/n could see Nobara was about to blow up.
"Right, Mai, Maki and Nobara this is Sukuna, he's um my tattoo artist?" What was she even supposed to say at this point? The guy she went on a date with and had the best make out session of her life?
Sukuna gave his hand out to the girls greeting them, he noticed his brother a few seats over who was concealing a laugh "you're here too brat" he briefly egnowledged him, Yuuji hummed back a hello in return, turning to Mai who was very eager to hear the details of y/n's and Sukuna's relationship, he sure as hell didn't look like just her tattoo artist.
"Tattoo artist? Really? you don't even have tattoos y/n" Nobara spoke, she just wanted her friend to be honest with her, if she had someone special, she could have said so, they've known each other for years. Sukuna wasn't surprised to hear that y/n hadn't shared that she got tattooed, he could tell she was a bit of a private person.
Y/n took off her jacket that she still had on from when she arrived, to show off the design to Maki and Nobara, Mai had already seen it and she was busy gossiping with Yuuji anyways. "Right, I forgot to tell you" she said, as Maki and Nobara scanned her upper arm with their eyes, so did Sukuna. He couldn't help himself, y/n looked so beautiful in his work. He wanted to cover every inch of her skin she was willing to give him, she could be his personal work of art, she already was one, but he wanted to decorate her in the best way he could and with the most beautiful art he could make. "That looks so beautiful" Maki spoke in awe, Nobara gave a little laugh "it's creepy, but it's really you. "
She took a look at Sukuna then back at y/n "It's very fitting, I don't know how to explain it." She continued.
Sukuna never took compliments that seriously, but hearing y/n's seemingly bitchy friend praise his work and the perception he had of her made him grin widely.
The four of them continued to speak, Maki and Nobara were very interested in Sukuna's line of work, Mai and Yuuji also took their turns in talking when they weren't too busy with one another. Y/n's friends were doing great with Sukuna, she thought he would be really difficult, he has a very explosive personality. Sukuna was putting in all the effort to make a good impression, both to y/n and the ones around her.
"So, did you miss me that much you came to find me?" Y/n asked once the attention was taken off of them. Mai looked to be having a deep conversation with Yuuji whereas Maki and Nobara got up to dance. "And if I did?" Sukuna spoke, his face dangerously close to hers, when did he manage to get hip to hip with her? Then again y/n had grown so comfortable around him, she didn't notice.
"Well, if that's the case, I'm glad you did come." She replied, Sukuna could tell she was a bit tipsy, else he would be making out with her on that sofa not caring who was watching.
Y/n poured herself another drink, thank god she didn't have to get up to get a refill, but Sukuna's voice stopped her movements. "Maybe you should ease up there" he said watching her fill two cups.
Y/n raised a brow at him "since where are you a party pooper? come on it ain't a party without a drink" her voice was playful as she tried passing one cup to him. Sukuna liked this y/n too, she was a bit more giggly, she smiled a bit more, "I'm driving sweetheart". Y/n was satisfied with his answer and proceeded to gulp down on both the cups she filled before Sukuna could stop her. She laughed pointing at him with her tongue out "too slow". Sukuna could only smile and pat her head. She was something else.
Somewhere along the night, Maki and Nobara disappeared and so did Yuuji and Mai. "You better tell your brother to take good care of my friend" y/n's state was getting worse, or more hilarious, it depended on how you looked at it. Sukuna would straight up laugh with some of the things she said, and he was trying his best to keep all forms of alcohol away from her, for her own good. "I don't think you should worry, Yuuji is much better than me in these kinds of things." He replied honestly, but y/n didn't necessarily see it like that. "There's no way he's that smooth" she trailed, the corners of her lips tugging upward. "Well if I didn't know any better, I'd say you liked me, didn't you think I was a dick?" Sukuna asked "Still do" her smile only grew wider.
One thing was for sure, y/n was very demanding when drunk, Sukuna left her side for the first time all night to get her some water, cause she felt 'like SpongeBob under that lamp drying out'. Not even slightly bothered by her request, Sukuna was on his way back to her, that's when he saw some guy standing infront of her trying to talk to her. Y/n even in her not very conscious state didn't tolerate people who didn't respect her "Just one song, come on it won't hurt, you're alone after all" the guy, y/n didn't care to catch the name of said "look, I don't dance, not unless the company is worth it, and I'm here with someone, leave me alone, this is getting annoying" Sukuna observed laughing to himself. He didn't feel the need to intervene yet. Y/n didn't like getting bossed around that's for sure, nor did she need a knight in shining armour to protect her, not that he would mind doing that. Sukuna casually sat down beside her again, ignoring the guy who was still standing there for some reason. That irritated him, it was enough that he tried to make a move on her, but not leaving while he was right there rubbed him the wrong way, "Here you go sweetheart" He said handing her the glass, praying that she won't drop and break it, he threw a glare at the guy who finally took the hint and left. "Thank you 'kuna." Y/n spoke, in a tone totally different from the one she had moments ago.
The nickname alone made his heart jump. Gojo was quite annoying when he called him that, but hearing the same word rolling out of y/n's tongue was completely different. Sukuna couldn't tell why he was feeling that way, he didn't care though, all he knew was that even the air smelled sweeter, when he was around her.
"You don't dance unless the company is good?" He asked, genuinely curious "well yes, if I feel comfortable I'll dance, but I don't really do it that much" she said, eyes heavy looking all over Sukuna's frame. " I see, how about we dance?" Sukuna suggested, he rarely danced himself, y/n made him want to get out of his comfort zone, hell he's already at a house party thanks to her.
"Only if you take some shots with me." She smilled at him malevolently. "You're playing dirty, who's going to take you home if I'm drunk?" Sukuna just wanted to hear her drunken logic "It probably takes a bottle for you to get drunk, you're clumsy, drunk or not, you're probably going to kill me if I get in your car".
Sukuna was full blown laughing, but she was right, her head was still not gone, she could walk and talk fine, she was just more talkative and cheerful, couple of shots wouldn't hurt, he could walk her home after since she lived close by, he remembered the way and then walk back home himself. She also gave him the cutest look he'd ever seen, how could he deny her?
"Ok you win" he raised his hands in defeat and y/n couldn't be happier. She poured 4 shots for them, which they quickly consumed and they were off to dance.
She never pictured him as a dancer, y/n saw Sukuna as the very cool looking dude standing on the bar, probably drinking whiskey with a bit of ice.
Looks can be deceiving, Sukuna was spinning her around, their bodies were pressed together, guiding each other to the beat. Eyes were meeting, body heat was exchanged, they fit like puzzle pieces even like this. Y/n kept looking at the exposed skin of his neck, why did he have to look like that and be this close, her face only grew warmer once her eyes met his and then dropped to his lips. Its not that Sukuna didn't want to kiss her, he would most certainly prefer her to be sober and remember it clearly the next day.
Those last two shots y/n had, in addition to Sukuna's body against hers, made her vision a bit blurry and her knees weak. "Hey doll, everything ok? You with me?" He shook her lightly by the shoulders, he could tell she was growing tired and he noticed how her demeanor changed. "Mhm, I'm sleepy 'kuna" there she goes again, making his heart skip beats. Y/n would be giving him so much shit had she realised she made him feel like that. "Ok then, how about we take you home ?" Sukuna's voice was so mellow, almost like he was talking to a toddler.
He guided her out of the crowded house, Todo was nowhere to be found, so Sukuna couldn't really let him know he was leaving.
Y/n was leaning on him, walking slowly down the street towards her place, but she abruptly stopped and sat down.
"What's wrong?" Sukuna asked, his sound as mellow as before. She was down right adorable, sitting there with a pout of her face .
"My feet hurt" y/n complained, dramatically throwing her arms around, if it was any other person Sukuna would've droped them to fend for themselves. "Really? That's sad" he replied, dropping down to her level, she only nodded, women's shoes are the most uncomfortable thing in the world. Sukuna scooped her up in his arms and carried her bridal style the rest of the way, he couldn't have her complaining and it wasn't like she would remember much either. With her arms wrapped securely around his neck, y/n could feel the warmth creeping up her neck all the way up to her ears, she didn't see the satisfied smile Sukuna wore.
Today went a lot better than he expected. So well that the tiredness got to y/n before they reached her apartment. Sukuna watched as she fell asleep in his arms. What a strange girl, she had both shyness and attitude, she was dancing her heart out no more than 15 minutes ago yet she still managed to fall asleep as he carried her.
Reaching her building, luckily the main entrance was unlocked. Sukuna took a peek at her, he couldn't bring himself to wake her up, she looked so peaceful, but unfortunately he had to. "Hey, which floor are you on?" He whispered softly, that was enough to shake y/n awake. "Third" she whispered back. Sukuna took the elevator up, and he finally reached her hallway, he only wished she didn't get her floor wrong or it would look like he was trying to break into someone else's house. "Doll, can you point your door for me? I'll put you down for a bit, where are your keys?" Y/n pointed at her door, handed Sukuna her keys and groaned as he set her down to unlock it for her. "You're such a brat" he pointed out swinging the door open, her annoyed face looked even cutter under the barely lit hallway.
Lord knows how Sukuna managed to find the light switches in the dark but he made it, y/n looked completely out of it now. He picked her back up and tried a few doors to find her bedroom. He gently layed her on the mattress. Y/n groaned again and said something about being uncomfortable. Of course she was uncomfortable, with her clothes still on from going out, there's no way she wasn't.
He shouldn't care right? He should just let her be and go home, but Sukuna could already tell she would have an awful nights sleep and he wanted her to rest properly. "Were do you keep sleep clothes" he asked, y/n pointed lazily at some drawer. After briefly digging in the drawer, he took out a pair of sweat pants and a hoodie for her.
He reached her frame again, undoing her shoes, sliding them off, next he prompted y/n with her side resting on the headboard so he could have her sit up with her legs dangling of the side of her bed. His hands found the rim of her shirt, her voice stopped him "don't look ok?" Her voice was hardly above a whisper. "I won't look"
"Promise?" She asked holding out her pinky
"promise" he stated locking it.
Sukuna averted his eyes from her body and helped her into her comfy clothes. Only one thing remained "Now come on time to get your makeup off"
"Nooo, I want to sleep" she complained loudly, dropping her body backwards on the bed. "Come on, it's not good for your skin, it will just be a minute, just be good for me" he said grabbing her hand, but y/n turned her head away. That's when Sukuna threw her over his shoulder, the most she could do was weakly hit his back and tell at him to put her down.
Sukuna sat her somewhere in her bathroom, while she still mumbled about being sleepy. He got a washcloth wet, and took a look at the products in her cabinet, she surely had an oil cleanser he just had to find it... bingo.
He pushed her hair out of the way and gently applied and massaged the product on to her skin, giving her instructions to keep her eyes and mouth close, he was extra careful not to cut her with his nails, then he used the washcloth to remove all the make-up that melted off. Sukuna also wore liner, not all the time but often enough to know that some things didn't come off with soap and water. He takes care of himself, his skin, his hair, his nails, everything. He knows a bit more than he's willing to share. Next he followed the same steps with her cleaner, y/n was enjoying herself, half asleep under his touch. He finished everything by applying a serum and a moisturizer on her face. "You've got the cheap stuff." He joked. "Hey it works" y/n defended as he picked her up once more.
This time he layed her under the covers, he pulled them up over her body, looking at her with plain adoration, he leaned down to press a kiss on her forehead.
"Sleep tight, I'll text you." He whispered in her ear, turning around to leave. A hand tugged oh his wrist, the same way he had done to her a couple days ago. Y/n was looking at him with pleading eyes "please stay" she almost begged, "are you sure? Its really late" he said, y/n nodded patting the spot beside her, he couldn't say no to those eyes. He quickly got rid of his shoes and dress shirt, he disappeared to the bathroom to take off his eyeliner and got under the covers with her.
Y/n curled up next to him, laying her head on his chest, taking in all his warmth and scent while listening to his heartbeat, his arm was wrapped securely around her.
" Can I ask you something?" Y/n's voice broke the silence. "Didn't you want to sleep?" Sukuna teased, and y/n took the opportunity to ask anyway. "Why do you like me?" What kind of question is this? Sukuna blamed the fact that she was a bit out it. She had no reason to be insecure, she was stunning and she also had a personality to back up her looks. "Let's see... you're kind of a badass, no one really talks back to me like you do, you're quite easy on the eyes too" what he said was very true, but he was falling for the little details too. The way she picked mindlessly at her food as she talked when he took her out, or the way her eyes sparkled when something peaked her interest. Even her drunken self had him feeling things he never did.
"How come you were single? Judging by your friends it's been a while" The words came out of his mouth before he could stop them, but y/n didn't give any signs of being bothered by his assumption. "Honestly, I don't want someone to fall out of love and leave me behind" Drunken words are sober thoughts. Sukuna didn't want to ask if that had happened to her before, he didn't care, he would do better than whoever hurt her.
More moments passed with him rubbing comforting circles on her back, he was sure she was asleep, her breath was slow and steady against his chest. "I wonder, what would you say if I asked you to be mine?" Sukuna whispered, staring up at her ceiling. "I'd say yes, airhead" y/n mumbled. Sukuna's eyes widened, she wasn't supposed to hear that. "I'll make sure to ask you soon then" he said, y/n looked up at him, this time he couldn't help himself and captured her lips in his, in a very slow passionate kiss. It didn't last long but it was enough to keep y/n's head spinning around with him running through it. "Sleep already, brat"
"okay 'kuna".
The light coming in, beaming through her curtains, woke y/n from a very peaceful sleep, now all she felt was the vodka she consumed the night before. Her head was pounding hard, she reached for her phone on her nightstand. Instead of her phone, her hand made contact with a piece of paper.
Good morning doll.
You're most definitely feeling like shit, but don't worry you didn't do anything too embarrassing. Unfortunately I had to go to work early and you looked cute sleeping, I didn't want to wake you. There are pain killers next to you, you must have a hell of a headache. Don't forget to eat, I made breakfast for you in the kitchen (with all I could manage to find, you should go grocery shopping more often). Text me or I might think you died in your sleep. Have a wonderful day y/n.
- Sukuna
PS I took a peek in one of your notebooks. I was right, your handwriting is really fucking bad.
Of course he had to be his usual smug self, y/n found herself laughing at the words scribbled on the paper that was obviously ripped out of one of her notebooks. His handwriting was as pretty as his drawings, so aesthetically pleasing. He had even taken time to doodle coffee cups, and some trees at the bottom of the page.
The events from the previous night were starting to flood back to her head head. She took the pain killers Sukuna left out for her, he was kind enough to place a glass of water on her nightstand too. Y/n couldn't believe Sukuna not only stayed over, but he also put in so much effort for her, he certainly didn't look like the type to do so.
Walking in her kitchen, what she witnessed, exceeded all her expectations. When she read breakfast she thought he made her a sandwich, which she would've been extremely grateful for. Sukuna had gone all out, from pancakes, to French toast, an omelet and even her coffee served. She just stood there looking at her table, mouth almost hanging.
Her phone buzzed in the pocket of her sweat pants.
You should've told me you were going out with Yuuji's hot brother. I would've never guessed that's your type.
Mai seemed to be in a mood to tease her.
You're right I should've told you, your turn, where did you and Yuuji run off to last night?
Y/n laughed knowing it was going to take a while to get a response. She sat down looking at all the choices she had, wondering what to pick. It's safe to say everything was as delicious as Sukuna.
I'm impressed. You draw, you cook AND you didn't burn down my house, I'm very thankful for that (breakfast was delicious too).
Sukuna, stared down at his phone, all the stress he had two nights ago long forgotten. Only thing that remained was to get y/n right back in his chair.
Happy to hear you're alive and kicking and you enjoy my cooking. I've got to go through, some dickbag wants me to do a cover-up. I'll talk to you later.
He dealt with this client in an unusually polite manner. Y/n had brighten his morning from the moment he woke up next to her.
Bonus Domain shenanigans: "Yuuji was right, I had to push him" Geto said to an agitated Gojo, who wanted to get under Sukuna's skin for a little longer. "Then hopefully he will bring her over, that would for sure be fun, he's going to get so worked up if we give her any attention." Gojo was rubbing his hands together at the thought. "I don't think that's a good idea. I'm not that worried about what Sukuna will do to you, we've both seen y/n, she doesn't even take his shit, I think she'd hit you." Nanami pointed out ."Well I haven't yet seen her, Yuuji said she was nice to him." Megumi joined the conversation remembering his friend talking about the girl, he had zoned out for half of it though. "I haven't seen her either, I did hear her though, she doesn't sound like she would let you pull something like that to him" Geto spoke again. "Nah she looked friendly, we can for sure make him foam at the mouth" Gojo plotted. "I can guarantee, she will rip of your head of if you try your shit." Sukuna was sure of it too.

Talk about Asgardian religion? Your religion worldbuilding is always so well done - it's...obviously coming from a place of understanding how polytheism/paganism works, and as a pagan that's not something I see in a lot of things
So I got this question a while ago (back when Yonder was still in progress, I think) and then sat on it because I'm still adding bits and pieces, but essentially Asgardian religion is a form of ancestor worship (what Wiki groups under "veneration of the dead").
In some ways it's easier to talk about what I didn't want to do than what I actually did, and what Asgardian religion is not. It is not Norse paganism (either of the historical or the modern sort) and that's a very deliberate choice; there are similarities and there are parallels and there are a lot of references, but there's almost nothing that's a 1:1. That's partially from a worldbuilding angle -- a lot of Norse mythology doesn't transfer straight over to MCU Asgard anymore than comics Asgard transfers over, and since I am writing MCU fic, MCU Asgard and its Asgardians are my core, they're the thing that can't change. As a historian and a classicist, I wanted to think about how Asgardians and their cosmology and their history might refract through the lens of the humans they've interacted with over the years: it's not going to be exact, it's going to be repackaged in ways that are explicable in the first couple millennia BC and the first millennium AD. As an ancient historian, I'm really aware of how little evidence we have surviving today from those eras. I had the thought that a lot of these barely-known Germanic gods and goddesses that might have one or two surviving references in Latin and Greek writing, or who are theorized as being proto-[insert god name here] were probably Asgardians or Vanir who came to Earth at one point or another and over time their names were lost or changed. (For example, I think Baduhenna, who has one mention in Tacitus, was probably Hela -- there's a mention of this in Yonder. This is not that IRL, I as a scholar think that the historical Baduhenna was a proto-Hel, but that it works for me in the worldbuilding for the Asgardians. I had to sit down and think, okay, how does this work; if we know when MCU Loki and Thor are born, but we have historical references to gods that we consider proto-Loki, proto-Thor, how does that work and not have it mess up the history: I'm a historian, that's what I think about.)
One thing I've seen a lot of in Asgardian-focused fic -- and this isn't anything against authors who write it this way, it's just something I wanted to avoid doing because other people do it -- is casting the Norns into a role of "okay, these are the gods to the gods, these are the divinities who are considered to be more than gods, or who are all-seeing, etc.," or even just the Norns being the main figures whom the Asgardians swear by. And you do see my Asgardians swear by them from time to time and they certainly are referenced and they have a role in my Asgardian cosmology, but I try to not default to them in that way.
I write the Asgardians as gods (because that's the part that appeals to me) -- every single Asgardian is a patron of something, whatever that might be, and has some kind of magic that goes more strongly towards that patronage than it does anything else, though it's not like they can't do other magic. That doesn't stop when they die; Yonder and Morning both talk about the divine Aesir, which is how they think of themselves while they're among the living. When Asgardians die, they don't have an apotheosis because they are already gods; Natasha talks about the deified Æsir (there's a slight vowel shift in how they talk about the dead and the living), though that's not one hundred percent accurate, because they're already gods. They don't need to be deified; they're already divine. (Using a Natasha POV also allows me to cheat a little; she doesn't know the intricacies of how this works, she's taking her best guess.)
There's a bit from, I think, HBO's Rome, Mark Antony talking about the funeral of Julius Caesar; "burn the man and honor the god," and that's kind of the starting point I took for the way that Asgardians think of the deceased Asgardians. They don't cease to be gods once they died; they in fact become more of what they are, but they also lose their ability to exist in the living world. They can't straddle the worlds of the dead (Valhalla, Hel, etc.) and the living, even if there can be a little bit of passage between the two under the right circumstances. So Hela, in Morning, when she's imprisoned in Hel, cannot function as the goddess of death, she can't access that magic, because she's still alive; when she dies, she becomes the ruler of Hel, but can no longer intercede in the world of the living.
(There's actually a little tiny bit of canonical support for the Asgardians having ancestor worship and that's Thor and Heimdall in Infinity War calling on the Allfathers. I don't really like how that was done because that's never come up before, it's never come up since, but it does put into the running, "okay, the Asgardians consider their dead divine in some sense, or able to intercede with the living, or something similar.")
The Asgardians don't have a separate group of gods who are -- the gods to the gods, I suppose. I played with this at one point, riffing off Agent of Asgard's Those Who Sit Above in Shadow, and ultimately decided not to go there and stick with the ancestor worship instead. It's not organized religion as we think of organized religion today. It is not a royal or imperial cult; the royal family is not innately any more divine than any other Asgardian family, though they are also in a position where they can function more as intercessor between the living and the dead (as Allfather or Allmother), but it's not something that only they can do. It's something of a family cult, because obviously who you call on is going to be your own ancestors, but it's not linked to the household as an institution and it's not linked to a physical space. This is also the one case where I didn't want to have nature divinities or nature spirits of any sort, I didn't want to have landvættir (very, very roughly the equivalent to genii locorum, spirits of place), not least because Asgard is destroyed and that would be really depressing.
There are other parts of the Asgardian cosmology that could be considered divine -- like, the Norns fit in there, various things associated with the World Tree (Yggdrasil) and the Cosmos Tree (Mimameid), the wells, Ginnungagap, primordial Earth (related to but as the Asgardians think of it not identical to the dwarf goddess Jǫrð; the Asgardians don't personify it the same way the dwarves do). Mostly that is not part of their religion, per se, it is how they conceptualize the world that they inhabit. Some of that is me repackaging MCU concepts, either from the Loki series or from the films and applying Norse mythological terms because Asgardians do not conceptualize the world in the same way a human would. It doesn't mean that they're right or wrong; it's just how they see it and how something like the quantum realm (Mimameid, the Cosmos Tree) would function within that cosmology.
So that is basically what I have been working with for Asgardian religion. It's not wholly set in stone (unless it's already been on the page). I have a tendency to default to ancestor worship, or forms thereof, in my religion worldbuilding -- Naboo and Ryloth both have forms of it, though those are both in conjunction with other divinities. But it is really common in our world in one form or another, so it serves almost as a neutral aspect of a worldbuilt religion; adding gods on if they don't already exist is a bit more assumption. Religion is one of my three main building blocks for worldbuilding, and I really wanted that to be part of the way that my Asgardians conceptualized the world in which they exist, because religion affects everything about the way we think.

I'm new here so I'm not sure if you do Magnus/Julia but - Misc #5? :3
5 misc. “Can I pet your dog?” “Do I know you?”
((sentence starters - no longer accepting, sorry!!))
--
If Magnus was being honest, moving into the Raven's Roost apartment complex was one of, if not the worst, mistake he had ever made. The reviews had all sounded fine- glowing, even. The apartments were sort of shitty, but the landlord, claimed the reviews, made it worth it. She was kind-hearted, understanding, forgiving...
And had stopped being the landlord two days before Magnus moved in.
Instead, he was greeted with the ugly face of Mr. Harley Kalen who is proving the be the worst landlord Magnus has ever had to deal with. First, he skyrocketed the price of pet rent. What was originally ten extra dollars a month was now fifty and rising (which Magnus wasn't even sure was legal). In his first week, Magnus's toilet had broken, and Kalen had dismissed him entirely, leaving Magnus to fix it himself. His high spirits about moving and potentially getting a dog were shot down quicker than Magnus could snap his fingers.
But Magnus could not feasibly punch away this problem, so he did what he was wont to do when stressed, and went on a jog. A lot. Magnus's legs have never been sorer, but at least he wasn't upset the whole day. He worked nightshift at the Starblaster, which gave him an excuse to start his jog later in the day than he usually would.
The area around the apartment complex was small and he could easily circle it a few times as he got his exercise in. Three weeks into this is when Magnus spotted his first sign of life in the area beside him and his close neighbors.
A woman coming through the front gate. With a dog. To be more accurate, a beagle that was half shoved into her zipped-up coat. Magnus couldn't just not pet this beagle.
"Hey!" Magnus called. The women startled. "Can I pet your dog?"
"Do I know you?" she asked, which, yeah, fair. And then, "what dog?"
The beagle barked.
"The one in your coat!" he said, jogging up to her.
"I don't have a dog in my coat," she said, glancing around as if someone might be watching in one them. "That's a weird thing to say-"
"But-"
"Listen," she said once he got close enough, her voice very low. "Are you a snitch?"
"No?" Magnus said, not really seeing how this was applicable to this situation. And then, "oh! No, no, I'm not." He lowered his voice, too. "High pet costs, right?"
"Yeah," she whispered. She unzipped her coat a little bit and the beagle stuck its head up, panting at Magnus. "Her name is Puddle."
Magnus's heart melted at the sight. He gave Puddle a head pat and she preened a bit, nudging her nose against Magnus's hand.
"God I want a dog so bad," he said. "Be honest with me- is it worth sneaking her in? Because I will a hundred percent sneak a dog in if that's all it takes."
"It's incredibly worth sneaking one in," the woman said. "I can help, hang on-" she took out her phone, typing something in. "What's your number?" Magnus recited it. "Name?"
"Magnus," he said.
"I'm Julia," she said, grinning a little. "I'll text you about it later. I gotta go before Kalen comes out."
"Go," Magnus urged, checking over his shoulder just in case. "Thank you so much, Julia."
"We deserve dogs," Julia said seriously, tucking Puddle back into her jacket. "See ya."
She speed-walked towards the closest building and Magnus watched until he saw her climbing the stairs before continuing on his run. He will be getting a dog, whether Kalen likes it or not.
