Hey, so um, I'm reappearing. Again.

It's been almost a year and it's N7 Day, so I'm pretty excited today. I missed being here and now I couldn't find a better day to come back.

Just to clarify, leaving Tumblr wasn't out of the blue for me. I'm not going to find nicer words, because I was hurt and I'm still pissed. Somebody stole my art, my sketches, my ideas. Literally, they did the same things as me (but some time after I posted it) and I know it wasn't accidental, because they are following me, so I'm sure they've seen it. I don't want to shame anyone here, people can always get the inspo from you, and it's flattering, but not when it's clearly sketched over something you did. My heart was breaking and I'm not really trying to be the drama queen here, because it's not what Tumblr is for, and for my own good, I decided to leave this app for a while. I don't know if I'd be sharing anything that I was/ I'm/ I'll be working on because of that, but that person sees my post and maybe rethink things, because I know they draw over other people's art, so I wasn't the only one :))

Buuut, let's do a quick update on my personal life, because I wasn't crying for the whole year because of situation above lmao. I finished my university, I think I was away for 2 exam session and I literally had the hardest exam I've ever taken but I've passed and no more exams and lectures for me! I just need to write and defend my thesis and boom, another degree is mine hehe. I've been traveling and moving around last year, so I ended up in Warsaw eventually and I was working in CDPR. Yeah, so my name's in the Cyberpunk's ending credits and I'm still too overwhelmed with joy to play the game and see for myself my own name there (thanks to my colleague, who sent me the screenshot of my name there haha).

TLDR: I'm happy and I'm good.

I know a year is a long time and I'm so excited to find out what y'all have been up to!!

hehe thanks for the questions, i'll try to keep it short! i take that back

1. at the moment i don't really do anything else than reading fics and looking at fan art here, but i'll try my best to let people know how much i enjoy their stuff, hehe! (and who knows, maybe there are some things in progress at the moment so i can share some stuff of my own too, sometimes! 👀)

2. i think there are so many great fic writers here on tumblr! the fics are so different and all sound so interesting! i have a list on which i paste all the links to fics i wanna read so i don't lose them and it gets longer every day. 😄

but i think my favorite fic at the moment is Raising Dominoes by @superlarva! it has a modern setting, rex finds out he is the father of echo and fives and suddenly he has to raise two kids. even though there are heavy topics in this fic, there are also so much sweet, precious moments and i really like how well rex is handling things, even though he's still a little bit overwhelmed by everything, i think. the fic is still progressing but it makes my day, every time a new chapter is online!

3. three blogs i like follow and why? oh my.

i think @isthereanechoinhere96 is the first one who comes in my mind. i really enjoy to read the fics and there are always some new things posted! for example the eksy on vacation thingy! there's fan art and fics and other projects that are made with so much love and i appreciate that with all of my heart!

i think another blog i really like is yours, hehe.

i think you're such a good writer and i really appreciate your fics. i'm always happy to see, that you posted something new. and you share a lot of things. i always come across something new with you and you drop in so many inboxes and share your love and kindness and i think that is so nice! 4. i think i don't really have a favorite star wars character. there are so many different figures in so many different media, that i always find someone new. but i think i'll decide for the clones here. they all have a big place in my heart and i can't really decide which one is my favorite, because they are all so unique and special and great! i totally depends on my mood and what i need today, buuut i think at the most times i'm an echo girlie, i mean look at his eyes. he's just a grumpy tooka that has his own experiences and values and lives upon them. he's great.

✏️ The first fanfiction you ever wrote? (doesn’t have to be a posted fic)

Heh.. back in 2005, a show aired on Discovery Kids that became my favorite show in the history of ever. Wee 9 year old Brina did not understand or even know of the concept of Fandom or Fanfiction - but this show is what I consider my first Fandom ever.

Did any fellow millennials ever watch Flight 29 Down on Discovery Kids (2005-2007)? Man, I loved that show so fucking much. I wrote silly little fics for it in my spare spiral college ruled notebooks! AUs before I even know what an AU was lmao. My favorite was one I called "Agents in Action" where I pretended all the characters in the show were recruited as Secret Agents after being rescued lmao.

I also wrote fics for my favorite ship in the show. Again, I didn't really know what the word ship was, but I knew I liked two characters enough to write fics of them getting together and referring to them with a pairing name. I shipped Jackson/Taylor aka Jaylor! Jackson was the Tall-Quiet-Mysterious foster kid with a questionable past and a sense of being an outsider among his peers, and Taylor was the seemingly shallow rich Mean Girl, who turns out not to be as mean or shallow once you get to know her a little more and she learns some more empathy/self-awareness.

When I wrote these fics, I had no idea what fic even was. But man oh man was it such a happy place for me to write them at the time. I wish I still had them, but I don't know where they went. I used to draw pictures at the back of every page and everything. Good times, good times ;u;

🎧 A certain song you listened to while writing a fic?

MUSIC, YAASS. So! Rare is it for me to make a playlist for just a one-shot, but for my NyxNoct Masquerade Fic I really needed a decent chunk of songs that captured the right vibe to help me write it, if ya know what I mean!

Young and Beautiful is the star of that playlist. I not only imagined Nyx and Noct dancing to the song in the fic, but the playlist also features two different instrumental versions of it too! It was such a big help with that fic uwu.

🔬The fic you had to make the most research for?

Hmm.. there's honestly 3 contenders for this, and the Masquerade fic is definitely one of them - but that was research in the sense of looking up a lot of visuals for inspiration. Outfits/ballrooms/mask designs and things like that

The second has to be cagefighter AU because of the fight scenes. I looked up articles about boxing rings/MMA tournaments/different styles of martial arts and things like that. I think I put at some point in the fic that Nyx leans more towards a boxing style while Noct kinda knows a mix of things thanks to Cor. Come the next time I need to write a fight scene, I'll probably be looking up martial arts/self defense videos again. Which is usually fun for me!

The third would have to be my old and Very Incomplete NyxNoct Wings AU that only has one chapter and no proper plot to this day ;u; Researching wing anatomy and all that. Visual references for different wing designs too.

✍🏽 How much do you plan your fics beforehand?

If we're talking about outlines, never have I ever in my fic life done a proper outline ^^; I'm very "I have all the backstory in my head, the rest of the details of the actual plot will unfold as I go" :'D

So Many ;u; but right now, the main things on my radar after I finish the current WIP are: -An assassination attempt prompt that's been sitting in my inbox for too long -A new possibly probably definitely spicy NyxNoct fic ideally for Valentine's Day. Buuut there's a good chance I chicken out of that one and try writing the next chapter of Cagefighter AU instead.

If I add anything else, I'll be getting too ahead of myself and overwhelmed lol. To anyone who's sent me prompts in the last several months: bear with me please I swear. I either get them done sorta quick or... Not Quick.

Okay so since idk how much of today I'll be able to spend as a "final day before I'm gone for 2 whole months (and then return for just a week & disappear again" imma do some stuff I wanted to do later today

One is mainly just for random reblogs, and the other is just for art reblogs, which can include drawings, paintings, music, and I'm pretty sure photography (i don't remember exactly what I reblogged but I'm pretty sure I reblogged photography at least once w/ the random art reblog tag). Again, these would be long scrolls, so you wouldn't have to go through all of em

Important Reblog + Important These tags are for important things, and things that either I find as helpful for others to know, things that I believe are important, things that aren't important but I've listed as important (which I think I've done that at least 3 times and I'm sorry), and things that others say are important so I just list em as important. That last one's the most common. Most of the time I'll tag things with both tags, but sometimes I tag things just with the important tag, and less commonly I'll reblog it with just the important reblog tag.

hay, this is more me looking for advice, but how do i stop lying to my followers about being proship? there was one point where i drew fontcest (undretale), and i got an anti who harassed me in ask, and sent me a graphic description of their brother killing their hamster. ever since i've been very weary of saying anything, or confirming i ship something cuz i don't want to read something like that again. that, and in general, i don't ship things too hard/go all in with it, at least 1/?

2/? i don't think i do. granted, i draw a bunch of art and post it, but for me that's just general hyperfixation. i'm also ace, and while yes, most ships are romantic or sexual, mine tend to be platonic, or suggestive. and are not as clear cut as to if i ship the characters or not, because even for me, it's up in the air, and i don't know, i'm not good with knowing how i feel about things, i just express myself through art and hope it says all it needs to. i've come up with a sorta tagging

3/4 tagging system, with tags for platonic ships, joke ships, etc, but even then sometimes how i view the relationship changes. like right now, i'm drawing a child and adult character together, most of the time the dynamic i portray is paternal, but other times i want to make it romantic, either as a cope for my own truama, or just because it's been my brain rot for weeks and i want it out of my head to get back to the "clean stuff" and just not post for a while. idk, maybe this is

Hello, I delayed answering this for a while since, well, i'm definitely not usually the person people go to for advice so im not used to it lol ❤ /nm

Buuut i mean... I can see why youre upset. I dont think you should have to come out and say you're proship. Being an anti shouldn't be seen as the default. You should also be able to make whatever kind of content you want as long as you tag it properly. If your fanbase is making you feel like you can't, then that fanbase isn't your demographic.

There are actually a lot of decent people out here who are pro ship, and if you choose to be openly pro ship, yes you will get some hate mail, death threats, suibait etc and lose followers, but you will also gain a lot of fans who want to see your interesting takes on different interpersonal dynamics. (Also, the former group weren't really your fans in the first place if they'll be so godawful to you over some pixels on a screen)

And yes it is impossible to police thousands of followers and that quite literally is not supposed to be up to you. Minors on the internet are supposed to be monitored by their guardians. If you put a disclaimer/tag for your content and some dumbass clicks it anyway and doesn't like what they see, that's their fault not yours.

I've also noticed that the majority of people who are pro ship are prone to actually filtering content they don't like, while antis seem entitled and want the creator to do it for them. Its just a better fanbase experience all around in my experience.

As someone who helps run multiple pro ship accs, i understand the visibility can be scary. But I promise at the end of the day you'll feel a lot better for it. Hope this is at least semi-helpful/reassuring idk ❤

Alright onto this week's update:

I've been writing moorreeee Jade! Starting to feel pretty okay about the transition between her scene and Dart's.

Caught up on a good handful of asks! \o/

And I've been working on a lot of dumb adult stuff behind the scenes - I don't know if I've mentioned them in detail, since I prefer to get them sorted quietly. Sometimes talking about these things is comforting, other times acknowledging them makes them even more stressful, you know?

••• Paypal is enforcing some changes in my country that makes it so I can't receive any incoming payments unless I have a registered business. So... I've been jumping through the hoops of trying to register a business. Not yet ready to share the business name (still gotta hoard all the usernames on all the platforms). The change won't take effect for another couple months... I'm hoping they don't make it too painful, because to my knowledge I've done everything I'm supposed to do and now I'm just waiting on them. e_e Blegh.

••• My drawing tablet-computer is about 3 years old and starting to show signs of, ah, physical wear and tear. This makes me sad because the SOFTWARE still works great, but the screen's got some black lines across the top (like rows pixels aren't loading?), the trackpad hasn't worked in over a year, sometimes the power button doesn't seem to work unless I press real hard.... I've tried to use some workarounds (ex, buying an external mouse) and I've been diligent about backing up my data, but it's starting to get to a point where I'm gonna need to get this little baby looked at. 😭 And they're probably gonna tell me to just get a new computer. 😭😭😭 Buuut who knows, fingers crossed these fixes are all minimal effort and I can keep the baby going for another 3 years?

••• As suchhh I've spent much of today troubleshooting and doing minor IT surgery (software updates, testing the net connection, disabling that ho Cortana, etc.) on my old laptop from... 2015. This will ensure I can keep working even when the baby is away. All that's left is making sure all my files are up-to-date on my SSD. 💫 I won't be able to work on any art, but I can at least keep writing and coding!

So ahh, thoughts and prayers and whatnot for my first world problems. ❤️ Would love to get the computer situation sorted, at least, by the end of the year.

Chapter 1 - Transfer Student

❀ Summary| Cecilia seems to have gotten used to being alone, and she liked it. But then a guy named Nikolai transfers to her school and seems to have taken a liking to her.

❀ A/N| Proofread!! This is a series I'll be writing. I wrote this back in June. It was originally gonna be posted on Wattpad but I decided against it. I completely forgot about this series and I just remembered that I wrote this and edited a couple of things!! Hope you guys like it!:D

"How am I supposed so get home now?" I questioned myself.

I was out at the park. Playing with my friends like I always did. Then suddenly it began to rain.

"Aw man. I knew I should have asked Mitzy's mom for a ride.."

"Here. You can use my umbrella." Felix said to me.

"But you're going to get sick! I'll just run back home. I can run super fast! Faster than lightning!"

"No no. It's okay! I will wait here. My mom and dad are going to pick me up."

"Well..If you say so. Thank you!"

I took the dark haired boy's umbrella. A pretty red color. With it, I ran towards my home. Not knowing that that will be my last time seeing him.

Cecilia's POV

"Don't forget to step by the office later today! The winner of the Mural Art Contest has been posted!"

"Ugh she's probably gonna win. She always does."

Like you're gonna win with your 1st grader drawing..

I head out of the classroom and towards the office. A month ago the school announced a Mural Art Contest. The drawing from the winner is going to be painted onto the left wall of the school. And I hope I win.

"Huh?. ."

That's odd..My drawing didn't win. Oh well..

If I got second then who got first..?

"Ni..Nikolai Stepanov?" Is he new? I don't recognize that name. He's in my grade..I usually know if there's a transfer student. Although I did hear a rumor that there was a transfer student a week ago..

I am a loner. And no it's not because I'm weird. Well maybe..I don't know what people think about me. I am asocial. Which means that I don't like socializing and I try to avoid it. I just like being by myself. There's no fighting and no drama.

But I believe that the reason why I don't  have any friends is because..well..I'm different. And by different I mean by..you know..skin color. My name is Cecilia de la Fuente. Pretty name right? Well..you and I might think so..buuut the other kids here....heh let's just say they may not think so.

Back on topic. Since I'm the "quiet kid" I usually hear all the chisme that goes around the school. But I have never heard of this Nikolai Stepanov.

I turn around. A tall guy with dark haie walks into the hallway. He seems to take care of his hair unlike the other guys at our school. It looks so fluffy and soft. Like clouds.

I notice that the girls around me start to whisper.

"Look that's Nikolai! He transfered here last week!"

"Didn't he get into detention for a week on his first day?"

"I heard that it was because he punched a teacher."

"He punched Mr. Robinson. He deserved it anyways. Mr. Robinson's fucking creepy..."

"I think he's Russian."

"His face! Oh my God."

"Have you heard his accent?"

I sigh. No wonder why I haven't seen him before. I have to admit..he is kinda good looking. I bet that the girls will be all over him soon..

A group of 4 girls head towards him. Unfortunately I was right. Poor guy..

The bell rang. Marking the end of our free period. My next period is Art. My favorite.

Will I have any class with Nikolai?..I hope not. He seems to get the girls attention a lot..and some of them are crazy enough to think they have a chance..they might even change their classes just so they can be with him. That thought scares me..

I step inside of the Art room. I find my seat and set my bag on the floor. I like art because it's so peaceful and qui—

I hear someone enter the classroom and walk towards me. . . They sit on the chair next to me. Their bag falls to the ground with a loud thud. 

"Hello." They must be talking to the people in front of me. "Rude. . .Oh my god. Helloooo?" Again..They must be talking to the people in front.. right?. . Oh no "Hi.." I say while I turn towards them. It's the guy, Nikolai. 

Wow Cecilia you just had to jinx it..

I can see why the girls like him so much. He has a red streak in his beautiful dark hair. With the most prettiest green eyes I have ever seen. His hair is so fluffy that I just want to to—No! Cecilia put yourself together!

"My name is Nikolai Stepanov. I recently moved here last week."

"U-Um..I'm Cecilia de la Fuente.."

STAY CALM CECILIA! He's new. He probably doesn't have any friends..maybe?.. He's just lonely and wants to get to know people. And when he gets to know a lot of people he'll leave you alone. Hopefully. . .maybe.

"You have a very pretty name. You can call me Kai." He smiles. Oh God that smile.

"Thank you." I smile back. When does class start?

"Let's get to know each other from now on. What do you say? I don't know any people here and I had a pretty rough start."

"Um. Sure! Why not?"

WHAT WAS I SUPPOSED TO SAY??? Something like oh sorry no I don't like talking to people. If I said that then the conversation would turn super awkward...

"You seem kind of my type Cecilia." He smiles. Or is he smirking?? "Are you single by any chance?"

O-Oh. He's one of those guys..

"I'm sorry I don't date anyone who I've just met or haven't talked to..heh" I laugh nervously feeling my cheeks burning up a bit. What is he thinking?? Asking a girl out when you literally just met them??

"That's too bad.." He sighs. "Oh! Let's try to find something in common. Hmm how about..we talk about art. Since we are here. In art." He adds.

"I saw that you won the mural art contest." I reply back nervously.

"I did? Hm I was thinking I wasn't gonna win. You entered too right?"

I nod.

"I thought for sure that yours was going to win. I really liked the flowers. And the dove too! Your drawing is amazing!"

"Thank you..I really liked your dandelions. Um..I just really liked your drawing. Like the whole vibe and look of it..heh." Nikolai thank you for carrying the conversation..

"Thanks. Oh! And the message too! Like how your drawing was like about spring coming after winter. Like the Sun always comes out after a bad storm. Something like that."

Ah. He noticed?

"Sit in your seats!" the teacher said while closing the door. "After learning multiple techniques on using water colors, you will have a project on painting a scenery using water colors. The project will be due next month. Since you are still beginners. If you need help on your painting, ask for help from your seat partner."

"Cecilia? I unfortunately only know how to use colored pencils. I've never painted before. Could you help me with the project?"

Hi! Talking about self criticism - I think it's so relatable for many artists! Sometimes I draw something, and overall it's okay but the more I look at it the more I notice some small flaws here and there, and I know that probably most of the people don't see it, but I FUCKIN DO 😬😅😅 sadly ppl often get irritated when you say you're not satisfied with your work, it makes them think you're ASKING for reassurance, you know. In my case in a way it's true, but I'm working on it - I can say about my drawing "I'm not very satisfied with his hair, but I think I did good with his nose this time". Because we can't unsee our problems, but we should be able to see good things too.

It surprised me though that you said you don't like your creations at all, because as for me, even when my drawing or writing or gifset is ugly, it's still like my child (😆), and I don't think I can destroy or delete it 😅 sometimes it happens that I'm overall happy about my art, and then I see a REALLY GOOD art, and I instantly feel like I should go and burn down all my sketchbooks... But I know I won't 😆 Actually I think reasonable amount of self criticism can be good because it pushes us further to make it better.

Oh, and I wanted to say it's also hard for me to say I really like/proud of what I did out loud because I don't want it to look like I'm showing off, you know. But I'm working on that too 🙃

I agree ! I don't know how many time people were even kind of violent to me because I'm not able to like a drawing I did ? O.o and I'm so sad to know you have to deal with that kind of things too

Honestly, my blog was just a safe place for me to post all the things I do, without pressure. I didn't know it would bring so much people around. I've never asked for it, nor for reassurance (but of course, it's always nice to see people enjoying what you can do), and now I just feel sad and anxious that I might have annoyed people with my comments (even though they are my way of catharsis)

Haaaa, I understand it might be weird but yea, I could honestly destroy a drawing :'D but most of them took me so long, I just want to keep them to somehow feel like I didn't waste my time ? (If it makes sense ?) Buuut, I used to feel like my drawings were like my children too :'D

Omg, I know, right ? Saying out loud that you love your drawing just kinda feels like you're showing off about it ?? 😭
