Battle Subway Depot Agents (by pig-demon)

When I made designs for these guys last year I didn’t really think they needed colored references/master post, but since then I’ve drawn them a lot! Also people have added them to their fanfics and drawn fanart! So I figured it was time I made a post for easy ref. :]

These designs are obviously free to use, just give credit (and link me your work if you're comfortable, because it makes me happy to see!) All I request is to stay respectful to their pronouns and skin colors, ya knooow… 👍 note: The pokemon on their cards are all companions, not the ones they use on the Battle Subway. Except Jackie...the litwicks are just there to fill space/give them company.

These are again my designs/interpretations for the agents. Please don’t treat them as canon or as the only, quintessential designs for these literal background npcs. Many people have done takes on them before and after me, even back in 2010. It feels silly to ask, but due to past experience, I ask that you please DONT hunt down anyone that does a different take on the depot agents!! 👍

Height chart:

I’m not too strict about heights, so I don’t really care about actual measurements. Here’s an approximation of what I tend to visualize though:

Sexualities/Gender Identities: I don't have official labels for each and every agent because I like keeping things fluid for characters to develop these traits on their own. However, as a queer person, I enjoy designing characters who are also queer, therefore I can safely say none of these characters are straight. The ones who are set in stone are Ramses (gay man), Cloud (lesbian woman,) Jackie (non-binary.) Furze uses he/they pronouns but their gender is undetermined. I also welcome anyone giving the agents a different gender identity to suit them (as long as it's done respectfully.)

Notes about each agent...

Cameron:

- Cameron dyes parts of his hair blonde and keeps other parts in black. This is because he is a big fan of Elesa and her fashion choices.  - Though there have been a few occasions to meet his idol, he is always way too nervous to approach her, feeling deep down that he'll mess up somehow. - He practices modeling poses in secret. He loves flourishes and flare, but is simply too insecure to put it on display. - Of his coworkers, he gets along the best with Furze. He's the easiest to talk to because Furze will do most of the talking. - Cameron is easily intimidated — even mean Pokémon can make him nervous. Though, his two worst fears are being left in a room alone with Jackie, and being left alone in a room with Isadore. - He takes advantage of his height to sometimes hide behind some of his coworkers. - Cameron is much better at Pokémon battles than he gives himself credit for. Emmet and Ingo were pleasantly surprised by this, since Cameron was promoted to fit a temporary role on the Battle Subway. They happily made him a permanent member when he proved himself capable. - His Dwebble (Pebby) is secretly very strong, and rushes to protect Cameron when it can. Cam sometimes thinks Pebby helps him feel more confident in himself too.  - If he stumbled into any of his coworkers outside of work, he would simply explode of embarrassment. - He is the youngest child and only son of his family. He lives in his own apartment in Nimbasa.

Cloud:

- Cloud (like Ramses) knew the twins when they were very young. - She used to be an ace trainer in her youth, even going so far to compete in the Pokémon league. Winning and becoming the champ was the most important part of her journey, but something happened along the way that changed that outlook. - It seems with age, her competitiveness has mellowed out. However, she maintains an intense energy when battling.  - Her favorite types are Psychic and Flying types. Swoobat (Sweetie) is her ace.  - Her favorite hobby is baking, and she often bakes sweets for the crew. She knows all their favorite flavors by now! - She prioritizes keeping a friendly relationship with all her coworkers and thinks of them fondly. She considers Ramses family after all the years of working together!  - She is a big fan of Brycen's movies and can recite the lines. - She lives with her wife in Anville. - Cloud loves doing maintenance work both at home and in Gear Station. She enjoys bringing her own tools and industrial flashlight.

Furze:

- Furze only has one volume setting (mid loud,) but he finds himself feeling right at home when talking to either one of the twins. - Furze has ADHD, and this is reflected in some of his habits, most visibly is his fidgeting when sitting still for too long. - He rides a bike to work every day. When he is late, Cloud clocks in for him so he doesn't get in trouble. - This is a kind of a guy that sits crouched gargoyle style on chairs. Only outside of work, of course. Bad posture could get him in trouble. - While working on the Battle Subway, there will be times Furze feels sorry for his opponents and offers to quietly let them pass anyways. This...has also gotten him in trouble. :[ - He went to the same elementary school as Isadore in Castelia. Though Isadore seems to have forgotten their short-lived acquaintance, Furze has not. This is part of the reason Furze claims they are in fact good friends!!! - Furze is the middle child of a big family. He lives with his mom and takes care of her, along with his many Darumakas and Darmanitan. All of his Pokemon have famous trains names. - He collects model trains. Naturally.

Isadore

- Isadore had plans to become the station master the moment he was hired as a depot agent, but alas... (sad trumpet sound.) - As a youth, he was more interested in science and engineering over Pokemon battles. He enjoys the strategizing aspect, at most. Not so much the competitiveness. - In addition, his Pokemon are all rescues and not used for battling. He's had his Watchog (Winston) since he was in his late teens. - His Electrode (Gregor) and Voltorb (Leonard) were rescued from the likes of Team Plasma. - Isadore admits he understands Pokemon better than humans. This has been apparent his whole life. - In spite of acting like a sitcom villain, Isadore cares about the management of Gear Station and the safety of the passengers to an incredible degree. He sees it as a personal life goal to assist in the management of Gear Station, as well as the success of the Battle Subway. - Though it pained him to become a subordinate to the twins, he begrudgingly accepts it for the greater good. - His almost militant efficiency certainly made up for his years of antagonizing the twins before they became the bosses. Ingo and Emmet understand this better than anyone. - Isadore keeps tabs on all of the staff members. So he very well knows all their birthdays and makes it a point to celebrate it. This is by no means a -happy- or -festive- event. It's just customary. - Like Furze, he was originally from Castelia, but now resides in Nimbasa. Isadore's only family is his mom and she lives in his childhood home with their Stoutland. - Isadore would have probably been voiced by every glasses guy ever J. Michael Tatum had he not already been cast as dear Emmet lmao

Jackie

- Jackie is a mystery and they like keeping it that way. When they talk, it's practically impossible to determine what is a lie or truth, especially if the subject is themselves or their background. - They love scaring Cameron the most and will ask to be paired with him whenever possible. They claim Cameron is their "favorite coworker," while Isadore is the least favorite. - It's plain to see why -- Jackie is the only one that doesn't passively tolerate Isadore's tirades. - Though my comics sometimes may allude to Jackie being a ghost/supernatural, this is not confirmed nor canon. I just personally enjoy toying with the concept. : ) That being said...

- Special Containment Procedures: The ████ ██████ is ██████ within ████-██████. - Ingo and Emmet choose to not question anything about Jackie, since it's clear they're one of the more efficient workers. However it can be a safety concern... - Cloud and Ramses have worked with Jackie for a long time, though they've forgotten somehow. They believe Jackie is a new hire since they appear to be young. - Anyone trying to make sense of Jackie's employee records simply can't bring themselves to any conclusions. It's better to ignore the inconsistencies. - Jackie has never been seen to leave Gear Station. Jackie has never been seen in anything but their uniform. Jackie has never been confirmed to eat, drink or blink. Jackie knows your secrets. Jackie thinks it's... amusing.

Ramses

- Ramses sometimes misses having a full head of hair, but he thinks his signs of age make him look distinguished. (he is correct.) - Ramses is sort of the "mom friend," making sure everyone's concerns are heard, as well as trying to keep the peace whenever a conflict might arise. - If another coworker is feeling low, Ramses will try to cheer them up with a lighthearted joke or offer advice if they'd like it. - When the twins were promoted to bosses of the Battle Subway, Ramses cried because he felt so proud. - In most circumstances, he is a very simple and logical man. He is quick to find solutions and tries not to fret over the little stuff. It's not good for his heart after all. - His ace is his Pikachu (Musa,) though the mouse is more of a lap pet now. At home, he also has an Audino (Sara) and a Manectric (Nubi) who keep Ramses' husband company. His Klinklang (Moli) is the only one of his personal pokemon that accompany him to work nowadays. - Ramses considers Cloud family. They are best friends and love having family gatherings outside of work. They also gossip a lot, and don't mind when Jackie decides to join. - Ramses jokes about looking forward to retirement, but really doesn't want to leave until he is physically incapable of working anymore. Gear Station is like a second home to him.

In-Game Quotes

The most important reference of all are their in-game quotes, of course, so I'm adding it to the post. A lot of their personality traits can be extracted and interpreted from these few lines. And I personally love that about Pokemon NPCs -- there's a lot of room to explore and play with. Some appear very obvious. Cameron practically announces that he isn't ready for the battle that's about to ensue and seems genuinely surprised to win. Furze comes out the gate talking about the subject they actually care about, which is their job and their love for trains. The two of them are very easy to understand. Now, Ramses lines allude to a gentle and simple personality. He views himself with humility, and maybe even with a bit of humor comparing himself to a train and to his opponent to a station. If he loses he shows no signs of disappointment, he just accepts defeat with one last honest quip. It s also amusing to see the Depot Agents all use train metaphors to describe themselves since it falls in line with how Ingo and Emmet talk.

In comparison, Cloud does the same thing calling herself the terminal instead. Immediately, she is way more daring, though still keeping a sense of professionalism. To me, it's obvious she is competitive as she even admits she was expecting to win ("Ah...I didn't see it coming.") Jackie's lines are fun since it's up to interpretation if they are being literal or lying. It's almost like they are more interested in confusing/creeping out their opponent than actually beating them. To me, it gives off a mischievous vibe. Isadore's opener "There are only two roads in life." is a curious one because it almost feels like he is trying to be philosophical. Definitely a guy who views himself as an intellectual, regardless if that’s true or not. I like to think it's a saying he really believes in, and it applies to his life. The road he likes (long route) vs the road he hates (shortcut) -- fighting tooth and nail to become boss vs biting his tongue and accepting Ingo and Emmet as the Subway Masters.

Those are just my thoughts on how I write these characters. Please have fun playing with these lines too!

10. Hawkins Pirates

It has a bit too much going on but i like it, i think its creepy and gives off black magic vibes, true to Hawkins powers and aesthetic

9. Kid Pirates

There so much going on but its badass. It feels like a 13 y/o boy assisted in the choices but its also feel honest, like he genuinely is that. Very true to Kid's personality

8. Thriller Bark Pirates

They showed a bit more restaine than the other two, more clean. Strong aesthetic game in desing and colors, you just know they have a haunted mannor dracula shit going on

7. Whitebear Pirates

Instant classic. Neat and to the point. If you have a physical trait like that use, brand on it. I also like the angry eyes on the skull

6. Buggy Pirates

Speaking of physical traits. No messing around, clown, bosh. I also like it looks silly, it doeant strike fear but its so funny looking that i like it

5. Red Hair Pirates

Against what i've saying, i love they resisted the urge to give their jolly roger red hair (there are other red haired people, its not that unique). Its a classic timeless look. The red streaks bring it together to look like Shanks scars but also an eyepatch but also blood.

4. Heart Pirates

Law does not have a jolly roger he has a Brand™. The jolly roger has nothing to do with his physical appearence of name of the crew but it has a story, or backstory rather. Its a unique shape, it has its own color scheme, he slaps it on on everything. Its a logo, and i like it

It also if you look at it for long enough it starts to look like a surprised egg with striped piyamas on

3. Straw Hat Pirates

Talking of branding. Simple, effective, a pop of color on the hat. Silly looking and you inmediatly know who is behind this crew. A personalised classic and bc its so straight fowards just beats Law's desing to the top three

2. Cook Pirates

Its so silly i cant not give it high marks. Can you even imagine been terrorised by a crew that sails around with that? Amazing. And from the man nicknamed Red Leg Zeff bc of the blood that his kicks drew, duality of men

1. Kuja Pirates

Now that is a look. Its simple yet scary af. It really intimidates you, and its related to Boa but not in a too obvious way, a call back to Medussa and gorgons, badass and dangerous women. Impactful, effective and iconic.

And as for who made them: Hawkins(?) (dont know any other members) / Kid and Killer helped / Hogback / Whitebear but i think he consulted Rogers and they sortof copied eachother / Shanks age 14 as a joke / idk why but Lucky Roux / Law. / Luffy and Usopp helped (as we know) / Zeff (he is quirky like that) / Amazon Lily's CM

So the character of jane doe was basically decapitaded so, imagine if reader's head isnt atached to their body, and can take their head off .

The tadc cast react to the reader taking off their head and then putting It back on like nothing. Tyy!!!

CAINE:

technically i think you could consider him with a detachable head... because i dont... think he has a neck... so technically.. not phased at all, he has seen things from various different circus members.. but lets say you came before zooble, and you were also the first circus member who could do that... i think he would be really into it and be amused. probably flies right up to you chattering about that little trick of yours

POMNI:

uncomfy by it, i think it would take her a while to get used to it... i think she would be the same with zooble thanks to the "these are people" thing, with the only reason she didnt freak out at zoobles dismemberment in the pilot being because she was preoccupied with her panic and confusion of this new setting

RAGATHA:

mildly uncomfortable anytime it happens but no where near as uncomfortable as pomni, since she has had her time to get used to a bunch of weird stuff in the circus; both from the circus itself as well as the people in it.. will guide your body to your head if theres ever a scenario where the two get separated.. hand holding... smiles

JAX:

probably tries to convince you to leave your head in someones room or in a box and have some poor unsuspecting person open it.. i think that would scare anyone, even if they were used to your headless activities... probably laughs at your body wandering aimlessly trying to find your head if theres an occasion where it was forcefully knocked off.. probably nudges your head away... this only really works if your body has to blindly fumble and you having to telepathically guide it towards you instead of it just going into autopilot and knowing where you are automatically and has zero struggle beelining for the head... but fumbling... funny

KINGER:

honestly i think sometimes he just rolls with it and other times hes bothered by it; really depends on how hes feeling that day... but i think the majority is that hes used to it thanks to zooble... has probably run off with your head on accident when he meant to run off with you as a whole, usually in the face of danger during an IHA...

ZOOBLE:

completely unphased by it since they can pretty much do the same thing! there isnt really much to be said since zooble neither feels this way or that in regards to your little decapitation trick... if they couldnt mess with their own parts though i think they would find your thing cool, though

GANGLE:

depending on what your digital body is themed around i think this would determine how gangle would feel about it... like zooble is mismatched and is seen taking out their antennae as well as their limbs being snagged off by jax... with zooble, is makes sense, they look like a mismatched mess of different parts.. so if you were something that could reasonably do the same thing i think she can overlook it... now the first time would still be a shock, no doubt about it, regardless of theme.. very careful whenever theres a reason they need to get close to your head, she does not wanna knock it off and potentially upset you

Here are the others:

ASL Shapes Strawhats Shapes

i'm just gonna copy and paste the definition i have for shape language from those posts here so i dont have to write it all again.

Shape language is defined as “a concept used in art and animation to communicate meaning based on shapes we are familiar with” (source). This concept uses circles, triangles, and squares to convey an idea of the “personality” of the design without using any words.

In designs, using circles and rounded edges in your silhouette and detailing gives the design a soft and squishy look. They tend to be harmless, approachable, or changeable.

Designs using squares gives the design a solid, sturdy, and strong look. They are supportive, reliable, and inflexible

Lastly, triangle designs are sharp and directional. They are dynamic, dangerous, and unpredictable.

That's base level but here's more in depth description of each design for ya:

this one is up first!

You may notice how in this design, his hair isnt in large clumps like the others are. His hair falls delicately and waves gently with little to no hard angles.

In this design, i was trying to convey the idea of "he wasnt born to fight, but he's molded himself into someone who will." I tried to depict that by making his hair all light and feathery, his facial features soft and rounded, but also showing how he's modified his body in a pointy and aggressive way.

I didn't want to only go hard edges with the piercings though because much like he's strayed from his mold of being delicate, he's also strayed from his mold of being a cruel noble. so some of his piercings are rings, AKA: Circles.

You may also notice the different in how I've drawn the collars of these guys. the collar of this Babo's black coat falls softly, and its' arc is rounded. The shoulders don't have any padding and it rounds at the corner.

This Man Is Round.

Next up is this Freak

This is supposed to be Triangle Him.

His hair is in larger, hard angled clumps. Indicating that he probably cut his hair himself. He did... greattt. I already headcannon him as someone who cuts his own hair, but i dont think this one ever gets any better at it.

The hard angles on his teeth, his scar, his jaw, his collar, that line i forgot to erase on the left, and his coat all give indication that this guy is Dangerous and you probably shouldnt mess with him.

I didn't have any real deeper meaning to this version, I just wanted to make him look as opposing as I could. this guy is "what you see is pretty much what you get."

Even though he doesn't have a lot of deeper meaning, I think this one is my favorite of the designs. I really love these colors on him and his hair was really fun to draw. I think I wanna draw him again at some point. I think this version of him would be very funny paired with Koala. I'm chuckling thinking about it:

And lastly this guy

Sabo's base design is very rectangle coded. From his Hat, to his face shape, to his coat. So this version was very easy to make as I didn't actually need to change that much!

I think maybe I could've made his design a little more complex? But also I think there is a beauty in simplicity for this one. He looks straightforward, reliable, and kind. He seems like the kind of guy who gets his hands dirty, not because he likes doing it, but because he does what he must for the greater good.

I really love his hazel eyes, too. I think it brings a nice warmth to his design that is really nice.

Since you said it's ok to send you random ask, i've always found your "monsters" design to be really really gorgeous, and I wanted to know : in any form of media you've interacted with, what's PEAK monster design for you ?

i have been thinking about this ask alot bc ... i dont ... know? theres a problem with what counts as a monster really too, most are either some sort of anthro/furry or the horror gore type of monster that instills you more with disgust than awe

i guess theres some i really like but idk if thats what id call 'peak' (though its rarely JUST the design but their vibe and stuff too);

(its a lot of zelda.. sorry)

Eldra, Farodra and Naydra (engl Dinraal, Farosh(?)) though Eldra is def my fav one of them, i like how they are a little more less typical dragon- with the fur around the neck the floppy ears and kinda goofy face yet manage to be the most ethereal, awe inspiring creature i have ever seen in a game with how they act and are presented as (in BOTW!!! do not mention anythign sonau/zonai with stupid magic pebbles to me about them i will manifest worms into your tea)

Leunen (Lynels) (botw) -i could not find a better picture wtf, fav are white and silver ones) FINE they had some pretty neat new horn designs in totk- idk i just like them alot, rather simple if you think about it, horse lion plus horns- but its so well put together it just kinda scratches my brain in a good way (also how intelligent they clearly are, like the way they fight and act and also even their death animation is so??? huh?? you are just gonna treat them like any other mindless monste- *remmbers they treat ganondorf even even worse all things considered* .. nevermind you're good)

'Beast' Ganondorf (twilight princess) its my favorite beast ganon design (even if it technically is just kinda a man boar .. again) though if ww gan had a non puppet beast form that one would most definitely be my fav lol (i will not get over the fact that some descriptions call this a hideous beast EXCUSE ME???? WHERE???) (honorable mention here, darkbest ganon from botw, pig on fire but it looks cool as fuck)

Nimbusgarde (ww) .. (engl .. darknuts?) do i need to say anything? (i could throw alot of ww design here) not sure if it counts as monster but they are not human so ????

the pathless bosses- (here in order, Cernos, the Godslayer, and Kumo) all of them are rad as hell (except for the final version of the godslayer ... liek im sorry but it looks to boring compared to any other one lol) again not just the design but man do i love them

since i dont know what would count as a monster or no i could just list my fav characters here bfmjbfmjsbmj like radahn (elden ring) is just kinda a zombie, aurelion sol (league of legends) is a space dragon, the forest god in princess mononoke, Narisha (skyward sword- sky whale)- i could go on but this post is long already (honorable mention to Omus in nausicäa, weird bugs but also something divine, though it is much more how they are treated and the vibe etc)

in all honesty though i cant think of one that i would describe as perfect, what i want of a monster design is to be ... cool but also a little weird, big hulking monsters that have something off about them and something that makes them 'other', but also not, as much as i like bloodborne, just bloody gory messes of rotting flesh, AND not just as a monster to kill, i just crave a game or otherwiese piece of media where the cool monsters arent just there for you to kill- the perfect one i guess would be something kinda big scary weird and off but while non verbal clearly not a mindless beast?

and here is the thing; my own characters do not furfill that, my designs are really rather conservative, much to my dismay, anthro of a mix of animals, maybe an extra arm thrown in- Eadrya, one of my favorites, is really just a blueish furry (yes they have fur) and their demon form is a mix of seals and catfish with some extra arms, too many teeth and a mouth that goas wayy to far (if they want) - Shargon is a feather dude with extra arms and his demon form is really just a chinese type dragon crossed with a bird, throw some darts at the color wheel, done

together with my problem of my monster characters losing their 'otherness' vibe within the story rather fast bc the majority of my characters are non human and speak and you see them in all sorts of emotions and parts of life- they lose that divine, unknown vibe and i HATE that that happens, i want them more akin to the forest god in mononoke but thats not possible unless i start from scratch

and i really dont mean to make myself look bad to sound self depre- ... however you spell that; i really am rather dissatisfied with my own designs but mostly just roll with what i got bc i never seem to be able to actually achieve what i want

even my redesigns often really make things LESS interesting (unless maybe the og was just ... human, but they are blue eyed with golden hair and white so that makes them divine you seE-), the skyward sword dragons as i redesigned them made them much more classical dragon, in part intentional bc i was drawing a connection of them becoming the botw dragons at some point, but by all means the canon design is much more weird and unusual than what i did with them, you could apply the same to even demise, his canon design might seem a little uninspired but really what did i do? inject him with some classic satan spice like that makes it in any way less stereotypical evil demon ??? lol

im sorry this post devolved into whatever this is but i really am trying to answer sincerely, i am confused about it myself, what counts as a monster, what doesnt, there must be more that i really loved but why cant i think of them, why do i design characters like this when i really want something much more different, i dont know, i feel like my brain is in a cage, why do i keep making things less interesting in an effort to make it interesting, am i falling into the corporate trap of cool sells who am i what am i doing

(theres a zelda artist with a style so strikingly genuis in shape, color and just .. ive recently grown more and more stressed and tired lately, like my energy is constantly being drained and no matter how hard i try im not enough to stop it. and i wanna reach out for help cause i know i have friends who care about me but i just cant for some reason—i dont feel the need to ask for help cause i just dont think i deserve it. no matter how many times ill comfort others i was never strong enough to ask for the same comfort, and instead of going to someone and talking about it i turn to my blade.

[A/N: Hey hey, so sorry for taking so long to write this, I know it was urgent. I just happened to get sick randomly and couldn't focus to write. But I finally got this done for you! I hope you're still around to read it </3. Hopefully it provides you with some comfort. Always go to others for help before taking matters into your own hands. Even if you feel like you can't, I'm sure the people in your life would love to help you out <3 I'm here too if you ever need anything! Enjoy!]

You look back and forth between the bloody mess in front of you to the panicked face of Keigo who had walked in on you. 

He was supposed to be gone for the whole day, patrolling his designated area until later that evening. Who knew he’d stop by to check in on you, hoping to have lunch together before continuing his patrol duties. Yet, coming home to you hovering over the bathroom sink with blood dripping from your delicate skin was not what he expected at all.

Of course he knew about your history with self-harm and could very clearly see all your past scars on your body, but he never expected to see you actively harm yourself in front of him. 

“Y/N…” He starts cautiously, eyeing the blade in your hands as you shake with regret.

“I’m sorry,” you cry, dropping the blade in the sink and moving your bleeding wrists away from his view, but he quickly closes the space between you.

Gentle hands grab your own and inspect the damage done. He rolls up the sleeves of his hero suit and gets to work on cleaning you up. With a clean towel he dabs the blood away, applying slight pressure to help stop the bleeding a little, whispering an apology whenever you flinch from the pain. 

He’s silent; contemplating how he let it get this far. He was a hero for crying out loud and the one person he wanted to keep safe the most out of everyone else in the world, managed to get harmed while he was away. He was angry and frustrated at himself that he couldn’t prevent the fresh cuts on your arms. All those nights he kissed your scars and whispered sweet promises of love and protection were all for nothing. Why couldn’t he be more useful to you?

“Keigo, I didn’t mea-” you start, but he quickly cuts you off as he finishes applying the bandage wrap to your wrist.

“I’m sorry. This isn’t your fault, it’s mine. I should have known something was off, I should have paid more attention and been around to help instead of being out. I’m sorry.”

He presses kisses to your bandaged wrist, just wishing that he could have the magical healing power that Recovery Girl’s kisses had. He wished he could kiss all your pain away and face it all himself in your stead. 

“No, no, this is all on me. You’re always there for me, telling me how much you love me and trying your best to encourage me and lift me up, but I always hold back,” you confess, snatching your arms away from him in guilt, “You’re so busy as it is saving everyone. I don’t want to add to your burdens with my own problems as well. I thought I could deal with it all alone, but I failed. I turned back to my blade because it was too much to bear on my own.”

He sighs, and this time brings you into his arms in an embrace, “That’s because we’re not meant to go through these things alone, babe. Even as a hero I don’t do things on my own either. I have a whole agency backing me up along with my other fellow heroes. No one can accomplish anything on their own without hurting themselves. So please let me be there for you to help you as much as you’ve helped me.”

Silent sobs escape your lips as he continues to hold you and speak.

“All those days when you held me after I failed to save someone. All those nights you patched me up after a mission and I stubbornly refused to go to a hospital; let me be there for you for all your tough times as well. Let me be the one to gather you up again and listen to all your worries, don’t fight your battles alone anymore. I promise you’re not a bother to me at all. I want to be there for you. It’s my job,” he reassures you. 

“All right,” you sniffle, finally wrapping your own arms around him, accepting his comfort.

He calls the agency afterwards, letting them know that he can’t come in for the rest of the day and instead spends his time with you. Listening intently to everything that’s been bubbling up in your heart, right by your side, wiping your tears away and giving you his unconditional support and love. He’s definitely making sure you don’t deal with things on your own anymore :)

hi :3 I saw your recent Wreck It Ralph vid (loved it) and seeing your avatar reminded me that I wanted to do something similar for my own vids? I am. Really bad at wording things my question is what size canvas did you use to draw them? And is there anything I need to keep in mind when implementing my own avatar into my YT vid like yt compressing the video or anything? I hope this makes sense like I said I suck at wording things 😭

I am an amateur so idk how useful this info is but Here (dumps everything)

The emotes were made in Krita (any art software will work)

The canvas size was around 1000 x 1000 pixels

Starting out, doing a basic emotion sheet works well. Watching other PNGtuber videos helps you organize how many you may need and what emotions are used the most (expect to make 30 or more drawings, which is A LOT at first, and might take a couple weeks, but once you have them you can use them forever!)

Also start your video even if you're still working on emotes! It helps to sorta do everything at once :)

This grid doesn't cover everything I used (it was a very messy process) but it might be useful so here :)

I think its also a good idea to make a "base" and then mess with expressions from there. This one had a lot of usability. (and also a lot of layers)

Later on I found it most useful to listen to the stuff I recorded, and then make a drawing for that moment specifically. You can then apply that "emotion" to other places where it fits

this is probably my favorite example because i based the expression off King Candy LOL. USING REFERENCES IS FUN !!!!!!!!! And I ended up using this one a lot !

Also expect a lot of rejected designs and struggling w drawing expressions because it's Hard. Developing the style you want takes a lot of time!! (I scrapped these 3 i made early on)

Exporting and YouTube processing was a little tricky but here’s what worked for me:

- I used Davinci Resolve to export the project. My video was made at 24fps, the same framerate as my footage. (The Movie) Earlier on, I kept noticing my audio was too loud and weird glitchy visual artifacts kept showing up. After trial and error I found these settings worked the best:

Main takeaway, i legit dont understand how any of this works but:

ITU-R BS.1770-4 normalization for audio is Good

Lower your finished audio track to -13.5dB. It will sound quiet, but YouTube likes this and will make it a normal volume

H.265 encoding with .mov format (aka QuickTime) is Good

And that's probably enough infodumping for now. Its okay to feel overwhelmed and unsure where to start but making a video is SO FUN and i encourage it more than anything :))) Take your time and learn at your own pace! There are lots of great tutorials online.

in general magic is kind of weird there’s multiple methods to cast the same spell those being spell components, incantations, somatic (gestures). each has their merits and flaws/ u can choose to use only one/ any most people stick with 1-2

there’s all kinds of spells and people are either born with an innate specialty in it or grow up developing it; power is how strong their magic can be, control is how much of a grasp they have on their magic, the lower control is compared to power the more easy it is for someone’s magic to go out of control (aira in this AU but i’ll talk about that when i have the alkaloid one made). if someone has more control than power they’re able to do very precise things with their magic with no focus at all while others would need some focus; general populace has both equal, usually people that dont hone their skills (common villagers) stay at 1 star for both

niki’s outfit is very simple and inspired by his fs2, very versatile and such because he’s always out and about chasing after exotic creatures to add to his checklist cloak HGFSDH he learned to sew from Aira’s mom when he was little and made most of his clothes himself, his satchels, and even helps the others when they need his skills whenever hes in town. even though he clearly puts spices etc. on one side compared to his components on the other, he still mixes them up because he is silly Aka is very fluffy and has kind of wild hair like. someone we know. i wonder who bright blue eyes (also like someone we know. ) but foxes are funner to draw with just closed eyes

RInne just has his normal village clothes with like longer and some changes to make it more. fantastical???? idk im soooo bad at designing clothes lmfao but before the “fox” is out of the bag he doesn’t really shift back much except to stretch and mess around with meru so he doesnt really. get different clothes. def after the reveal he stays in that form more around niki and they do get him different clothes. idk what they would be maybe niki would make them because he gets sick of seeing both hiiro and rinne in his house wearing the same things all the time. oh yeah i havent gone over this yet but yeah hiiro does refuse to leave because rinne refuses to leave so he just. lives with them on niki’s couch LMAO. who knows. maybe he becomes a denizen of the beehive rinne also still shifts because he finds moving around as a little guy more convenient and also niki still finds that form cute and cant say no if he does the puppy eyes so it usually goes like niki: rinne-kun, no rinne: boo-hooo.. niki~kyun.... i havent gotten to kohaku’s fic yet but he’s good at stealth magic. like really good. he can make himself vanish and no one will be able to find him when he’s right next to them. think about that as you will. when aira brought him to the beehive he only had a yukata and worn down sandals and since he and aira had similar builds he just ended up getting clothes from aira for most of the time; he does have shirts that are specifically his because they all have little pockets sewn on (by niki!) for rabu-han junior but with coats pants and outerwear he and aira just share except kohaku stays away from some of aira’s more. fancy clothes ?? lmao not to his taste rabu-han junior is a little hamster familiar that he met one day and made a familiar pact agreement with. rabu-han junior usually sits in his pocket, but if need be rabu-han junior can grow MASSIVE from 3 inches to 6 feet. Big mode. in big mode he can easily carry. 4 people. lmfao. rabu-han junior also shares magic with kohaku and technically is as strong as him and from that logic. rabu-han junior is better at magic than poor rabu-han (original)

merumeru’s clothes are all from kaname except the coat the coat is tatsumi’s. no idea why himeru hasn’t thrown it away though. maybe somewhere deep in his heart he does care for tatsunn his main reason for leaving was he didnt want tatsumi to always be in pain from seeing him, the very spitting image of kaname

all of him is just like kaname except: slightly older, longer hair, hair dark grayish at the ends and its not visible much and he does do illusion magic to change it but he has cat eyes pupils kittymeru is mainly dark gray (the same color as his human hair ends) with kaname-blue highlights and the long strand, the proof that kaname was the one that conjured him and essentially put part of himself in meru

Future monarch of the Oceri, the grand kingdom that is in charge of most of the ocean. 

It was an intimidating title for a humble mer-person such as yourself. Yet Your husband, Crown Prince Scar of Oceri, made it seem like the easiest thing in the world. It wasn't but as you began to learn from the current queen, you began to become accustomed to the way of the kingdom. 

However, when you had a break, you and your husband love to head to the surface of the ocean to relax. With you, a Guard was usually brought for safety reason but the Guard was a good friend of yours.

"Cub!" You pleaded "Please?" 

"I'm sorry Y/n," He said softly "But I'm obligated to keep you down here. There's a pirate ship overhead and I've received information that they may be hunting for mer-people. If I see you two leaving I'm going to lose my job." 

"I'm sure a little bit of sun won't hurt. We'll stay under the water but we just want some sun." Scar spoke up, swimming up from behind "and its only if you see us leave."

"Plus you'll be able to watch over us once we beat you there," You said "Like always."

"If I see even a glimmer of your tails, I'm dragging you two back." Cub sighed and slumped forward while placing a hand over his eyes "You have a minute." 

You and Scar giggled and swam up to just below the surface as you as fast as possibly could, holding hands the entire way. The rays of the sun warmed your skin and you sighed as you began to float in the rays of the sun in the calming presence of the sea. Scar came up from under you and held you tight, humming a random tune and pressing kisses into your cheek. 

Despite all this love you two had for each other, it always felt like their was a missing piece. Like there should be someone else. However, You just brushed it off for always being in public and being mentally drained so you relaxed into your lovers arms and sighed happily. 

That's when cub came up urgently 

"Prince Scar, Y/n," Cub quickly swam up "I do suggest coming down quite a bit. The ship is really close now and I dont wanna risk anything." 

"I think I have to agree on that," You muttered and look at the shadow that was coming closer and closer by the second 

The men nodded and began to swim down, You took one last look at the warm upper water before turning to swim down to catch up with your husband and his best friend. As you almost reached Scar a thick net dropped in front of you and caught you and some other surface fish and it tugged you up 

"Y/N!" Scar cried and swam up to grab you but missed your hand by an inch as you were pulled out of the waters and into the boat where the air burned your lungs as you cursed to Poseidon for getting you into this mess. 

While you could turn into a human more suited for the air, that would leave you completely indecent and you had more sense of reason than your husband but it may- 

your thought process stopped when you were unceremoniously dumped on the ship deck and gasps caught your attention 

"We- WE CAUGHT ONE!" The crew cheered 

"Now put a gag on it before it starts singing!" One crew member said "And put it in water! We don't need it drying out!" 

The leader exclaimed and there was a flurry of movement that made you dizzy but soon you were gagged and were dumped in a way too small tank filled with sea water. 

"Hello Little siren," A man walked up to the tank "Welcome to the Architechs. A pirate ship that builds and designs better than the kingdom." 

You didn't answer. Something about him seemed... familiar. No matter what there was something else tugging at you about him. He was... pretty.

The captain of the ship was undeniably gorgeous. Nearly on par to your husband. 

but there was something more than the simple physical attraction, you just had no idea what it was

"I'm the Captain of this here ship, My name is Grian. This here is my first mate, Mumbo and our Quartermater Iskall." The man, Grian introduced 

Why did everything about him seem so familiar?

However, Down in the sea with Cub and Scar... 

"I'm going to get them!" Scar said and swam up to the surface and grabbed onto the ship that was starting to speed up “Make sure My father knows we’re safe! I'll deal with the humans! After all, they can't be all be that bad.” 

Unfortunately, Scar was unaware they could be that bad. 

For now, he began climbing up the ship and once his tail was fully out of water, he made sure to switch into the human form only royal family members had. 

He climbed up the ship and eventually made it over and onto the lower deck where no one was. He looked around, gaining his surrounding when he saw his partner tied and gagged in a small tank full of water. 

However as he got closer he noticed the crew of the ship and that you were staring at someone with eyes that held curiosity, wonder and... something else

but when Scar took one step closer, he understood. 

His attention was immediately drawn off you and to the man in front of you. A dirty blond with black eyes as dark as obsidian and most likely, the captain of the ship. Something about him made Scar want to grab him and You and drag you back down to  the bottom of the ocean. A need to protect, to love, to claim. 

Soon he caught your eyes. Scar saw you light up at the sight of him and you called to him in your native tounge. 

'Scar!' You chirped 'Isn't he pretty!' 

Scar nodded with a smile. Even after being kidnapped you were focused on something else.

Unfortunately, your call to him revealed his location and he had to move from out of the shadows. 

 When Scar did, most of the pirates covered their eyes at his indecency and Grian screeched something akin to 'put your clothes on!" while throwing his cape to the merman. 

Grian had recognized this idiot of a man. 

This was the crown prince of Oceri, Prince Scar. 

But why was-

Grian felt his eyes widen and he turned to see the 'siren' his men had captured pressed up against the glass tryng to be as close to prince scar as possible.

but if Grian recognized scar them...

"Greeting to His highness, the crown Prince of the Sahara Kingdom. It is a pleasure to see you again Prince Grian." Scar said and Gave Grian a deep bow 

Hearing the old title made Grian cringe but he held his face neutral as his crew gaped in shock. Then they began to shout and thats when Grian had enough. 

"GET BACK TO WORK! Mumbo! Iskall! Bring our prisoner and the crown prince inside my office! And will someone please stop the ship!” Grian shouted and quickly turned to head back inside his office 

Soon the four were in his office and the prisioner was wrapped in a red blanket and on two legs. 

that means... 

"You're Prince Scar's partner," Grian groaned and ran a hand down his face 

"I am indeed," You say and give the prince in front of you a sweeping bow "I hold no ill will against you for this." 

"I thank you for that," Grian said and slumped into the seat behind his desk, with Mumbo standing behind him on his right and Iskall on his left "But I cannot let you leave knowing that the crown prince of Sahara has run away to lead a gang of pirates. So, what will you like?" 

You looked to your husband and he gave you a subtle nod. 

"That is actually something me and my husband would like to talk about." You said "You see, Mer-people have this weird thing about knowing who is fated to us when first meeting. Think of it as a soulmate bond."

"And what does this have to do with me?" Grian asked while Mumbo and Iskall gave an exasperated look behind him 

"Well, When I boarded the ship there was a tug. At first it was a simple attraction to your looks but then my husband boarded... That simple attraction became ten times stronger and that is when I realized We... are bonded. And I suspect that this was the work of my husband and his tiny child brain."

"Admittedly, Yes," Scar gave a grin and a nervous chuckle "See when we had first met as children Grian, I had imprinted on you accidentally. Then I met Y/n, I imprinted on them accidentally as well. I had no idea I would marry them and I had totally forgot about imprinting on you until just a few minutes ago." 

"So?" Grian asked and raised an eyebrow "Its not like I will marry you two right away." 

"oh goodness no!" You spoke up "Thats not what means. See because he had imprinted on both of us, My attraction to you int as strong but it is definitely still there. What we would like to do, if okay with you, is possibly... ah- how do humans say it... enter the talking stage and possibly date? Truthfully, if you are uncomfortable then we can drop this and we leave with no troubles."

Grian seemed to mull over it and as he did small mutters escaped his lips "They would hush up... connect the kingdoms even further..." 

He then looked to Iskall and Mumbo who both shrugged before  looking back to the group. 

"No conditions?" Grian asked 

"Two," Scar spoke up "One, No more Hunting for merpeople or sirens and Two, We would like if you stayed in a nearby fishing town. My partner and I can't go far from the kingdom or it will cause a panic." 

"We could use a break," Mumbo spoke up softly "We've been at sea for years now without really ever stopping." 

"But we-" Grian started 

"I agree with Mumbo here," Iskall said ad watched as Grian slumped back in his seat "We could all use a break at sea. I havent felt real concrete for three years." 

"Fine," Grian waved them off and Iskall and Mumbo both silently cheered behind Grian "You may court me and we will see how this ends. Where is this fishing town?" 

You and Scar grinned widely and grabbed each others hands with joy

The next year and a half had your heart felt full. 

The missing piece now found. 

Grian was hesitant at first with the entire arrangement, That was understandable. You and Scar danced around him for months until he was comfortable enough to initiate hand holding and kisses. Grian fit perfectly between you and Scar, a perfect match for Scar's chaotic energy and your calm demeanor. 

Now you were watching Scar and Grian bicker of what to make for movie night date Scar and you had planned on a hidden end of the each near the fishing town, sat on the shore letting the water splash at your legs as you smiled at your boys stupidity.  

"We should make a filling meal!" Scar said 

"Or we can get a bunch of snacks and fill up on those?" Grian asked a sly smile on his face 

oh no-

That's when Grian pulled out his signature pout. Scar could never resist the look and neither could you. He must have learned that as a princeling.

With a defeated groan, Scar trudged over to the blanket and dropped down and rested his head on your lap. 

"That's what you get for trying to fight with our pretty bird." You snicker and jolt when Scar lightly swats at your leg in mock anger 

"Oh shush," Scar said but you felt his grin spread across your leg but his voice lowered as he started again "Are we-?" 

"Yes, I would like to," You whispered back and leaned down to press kisses onto his scalp "But if he doesn't want to then I'm willing to wait. Anything for the two of you." 

"What doing?" Grian asked as he sat down with the snack in his hands and spreading them amongst the three of you. There were normal human snacks but also the of the mer people snacks that you had introduced to him a while ago

"Talking," You answer quickly

You were slightly flustered that he caught you two talking about your plans, the entire reason for this date. 

After a little over a year, Grian had warmed up to the two of you exponentially. You had learned that within the first few months of courting Grian had fallen for the two of you, especially as he had gotten to know you and scar. 

Truthfully? You definitely felt the same if not more. 

 So last month, you had bought a ring and showed it to scar. 

You could never describe the way he lit up when he saw it. He told you he had the same idea and was going to talk about it with you that night when Grian was fast asleep. 

So You planned this.

and this was going very according to plan. 

"About?" Grian asked and sat down between you two, nuzzling into your side with closed eyes and a sweet smile that took your breath away 

You looked to your husband who gave you a singular nod and a thousand uninvited butterflies filled your stomach. Why were you so nervous now? Was it the idea of him rejecting the two of you? 

Despite your frantic thoughts you blurted out "You." 

That made Grian pay attention. His eyes snapped open and widened as his mouth gaped before he jolted upright and asked "Did I do something wrong?" 

His voice was soft and there was a thickness to it that indicted tears from the man. 

"Huh? Oh! Nononono!" You waved your hands frantically as your eyes widened in panic "Of course not our songbird!"

Grian let out a sigh of relief and slumped back into you, Meanwhile behind him, Scar moved to one knee and opened the small box with a pearl ring you had gotten from the town Jeweler 

"Sorry to scare you Songbird," Scar rumbled "But we have a very important question to ask." 

This piqued Grian's interest and he turned around before a sharp gasp came from him 

"We don't wanna scar you off," You started softly and moved up behind him, gently turning his hed so he can catch a glimpse of you from the corner of his eye "and Whatever you say, we will respect your opinion. No matter what we will love and-" 

"Y/n, Yes, I understand," Grian cut you off and then you noticed his eyes, filled with tears and adoration "Please ask the question?" 

"Grian H. Dreamslayer, Will you marry us?" You and Scar asked at the same only to be dragged to tackle Scar

"Yes!" He grinned and pressed small kisses to your and Scar's face "I was gonna ask next week but I'm kind of glad you two beat me to it. I didn't want to feel like I'm rushing you two." 

"Oh," You coo and caress his face "Songbird, We're practically soulmates. You could never rush us." 

You pressed a sweet kiss to your fiances lips before turning to kiss your husband who kissed you back. 

"Now, why don't we enjoy this movie and celebrate more at our home," Scar whispered and pressed a Kiss to Grian's lips 

"Yeah," Grian said and curled up between the two of you with a content smile

That night held many kisses, snuggles and some light showing off on Grian's part but it made you happy. 

So very happy.

Also do you think that we would be able to see inklings/octolings guts if they are Glass Octopuses/Glass Squid/Cockatoo Squids? Would they be transparent?

I do have designs! although I'd like to see canon takes on them at some point.

Giant squid (middle) and colossal squid (right) compared in size next to an average-sized Squidling. They're a lot larger than the average inkfish, and as a result tend to be outsiders to a lot of generic inkfish culture (such as turf wars) as they're not able to Super Jump or move fast in more than little spurts, usually. They also have shorter and sturdier legs than most other inkfish. They're not famous for their athletics, but they have the strength to make up for that flaw.

Mesonychoteuthis has a range around the antarctic, though I don't know how confident I am in the south pole being habitable for a giant cold-blooded land cephalopod so it seems more likely that they would've originated in what used to be South America in the human age. As for Architeuthis, it seems to have a MUCH wider range, so it's likely to have originated... pretty much almost on any continent.

Both the giant and colossal squid incorporate smaller inkfish as a large part of their diets, and as very large and muscular squids with horrendous teeth or hooks, not a lot of species can stand up against them. They're mostly threatened by smaller inkfish attacking as a group, large and aggressive crustaceans, and other large predators such as sharks which can exceed them in size but still won't usually mess with their tentacles. As inkfish themselves as well as (usually) ambush predators, a preferred tactic for these species is to sneak within the perimeters of an inkfish school's territory and hide in their ink until prey comes within strike range. However, they're much more solitary than a lot of inkfish that hunt and travel in packs, and are less likely to try their luck against three or four squids. Especially colossal squid would've shared their original range with Humboldts, and while a singular Humboldt squid would be a piece of cake to tackle, you're a lot more likely to run into 5....

As for the glass squid and glass octopus question (technically, the Colossal squid is included in this group), I never really made up my mind on that front... I feel like it's MUCH more likely that they WOULDN'T have transparent skin. Because while in the deep sea that's really useful, in the deep sea you also don't have to worry about The Sun, which you DO have to worry about on the surface unless you wanted to immediately have your innards cooked on Day 2. You could get around this issue by making them strictly nocturnal, so it's not a completely unwinnable situation. I think in an ideal world they would have pigmented skin, but sparsely enough that it would be translucent rather than transparent, and I don't want to mess with that because then I'd have to actually design the internal organs of inkfish and some things need to be left undone for my sanity lol

Also, this is with the caveat that they're inkfish AT ALL. Because while thinking about what to answer this with I actually remembered that we DO have a cockatoo squid in Splatoon now, and not only are they not transparent, but they're also... not an Inkling

so yeah. I dont know or remember whether Taonius borealis has an ink sac (the internet is not an easy place to find extremely specific squid information). But the transparency tends to be the least of our problems when it comes to species appearance.

This is not the post I was talking about in my last blog, I just finished my family tree (using canva) and I wanted to share it! I fucking hate the colour palatte btw so we r gonna ignore it and pretend its black and white

Anyways lets start with my grandparents Robert and Carol

YES THEY ARE NICKI MINAJ'S PARENTS AND WE WILL TALK ABOUT IT!! Idk why but i rlly felt the need to b related to nicki (i think i was obsessed w her when making this dr LMFAO) but i js stuck w it bc clearly younger me had a thing going on. I haven't fully developed them because... they aren't my parents and they live in Florida while I live in Japan.. soo.. ONTO ONE OF THEIR KIDS!

Milagros is Onika's younger sister (i... think.. LMFAO). Her quirks are Mental Blood Manipulation (being able to control someone's thoughts through blood), Earth's Energy (meaning she uses energy from the sunlight.. like this girl photosynthesizes so yes, she does have flowers growing from her hair), and Personal void -- inspired by Janet from the good place (GOOGLE IT.) She has dark brown hair, a mixed skin tone, hazel eyes, and she stands at 5'4 in. Her occupation is a fashion designer at SCULPTOR clothing. Miracle (Milagos nickname) married Kenji Toga. Kenji's face claim is kinda wack because I could not find what I originally wanted him to look like (he's blonde, with stubble but.. girl i think the pin got deleted.) He has golden-ish eyes, pale skin, and he stands at around 6'8 in... girl.. uhm... yeah. He is super sweet and knowledgeable. He wears some glasses that make him look like an old man, though. He also works at SCULPTOR as a business manager (yeah, they became friends bc Miricle needed a business manager LMFAO THEN THEY GOT MARRIED ISNT THAT CUTE??) His quirks are Black blood (I will be making a blog on this) and stealth (i dont know what this means anymore or why I made it.)

Now, onto my siblings.

First up we have one of the twins, the younger one, Kuro. His American name is Kurtis, and he stands at 6'2 at 17 years old. Yeah. He attends UA's competing school, Shiketsu. Because of that, we are high in competition -- as many siblings are. Together, we are a lot of trouble.. so uhm... yeah. LMFAOO!! He has dark brown hair, tanned skin, and green and golden eyes (HETEROCHROMIA)!! If y'all want me to draw him I will... I suppose... but y'all js gon slut over him omg. Anyways! His quirks are shape shifting and outcome (again, I have no idea what outcome is).

The second twin, Himiko Toga! Yes, the one that becomes a villain you guys, I am so y/n stfu. She has blonde hair, lightly tanned skin and is 5'7 at 17. The women got fucked over, dude. WE NEED TO BE TALLER !! Anyways, she is super sweet, her perception of reality is just messed up. We always used to do each others hair, makeup, and walk our dogs together. She loves the outdoors and makes me so so happy. In this version, she has two quirks -- blood shifting (her og quirk) and stealth. He also has a few strands of red and blue in his hair.

I'm gonna skip myself for now and go onto Himari. At the time I shift, only one of her quirks have developed, and it is earths blessing ( a version of our mothers quirk. ) She is a version of my cr little sister. At the time I shift I believe she's in middle school??? I don't know. But she looks the most like my mother, only having my fathers face shape. Finally, me -- Harmony. You may be wondering "well why is your name American and nobody else's?" I was the only one born in the US. LMFAO IM LAME BRO THE REST OF MY FAMILY WAS BORN IN JAPAN!! Anyways... My deadname is Harmony, and in the US I go by Karsyn or Kaythan and in Japan I go by Kosuke. When I shift I am 14...ish? I have no idea for sure. I was born with brown hair, but I have sense dyed it to be black, red and white. I attend UA high. I am 5'8 at the time, and my quirks (yes... i have four...) are bone manipulation, black blood, shape shifting and personal void. One day I will make a post going more in depth about myself, but right now I just wanted to make an overview of my whole family.

I hope you guys like this post! It was fun going through my script and remembering everything about my dr. I will update everything when I do shift there, but for now, that's it!

i like to imagine tome as a relatively tall person. like maybe a few inches shorter than me... 5'7 ? shes very lanky. i think she had a little bit of a growth spurt once she hit like. lets say 12 or 13 and just shot the fuck up. then stopped. shes still tall just not crazy tall.

i LOVE masc presenting nonbinary tome but i feel like. idont know i feel like shes more. androgynous leaning does that make sense. her gender is weird girl but not a "girl" do you get me. she likes 2 wear skirts & jewelry & goes by ms over mx or mr . her pronouns r weird as hell too shes got the motherfucking zleep/zlorp it/its zhe/her all the neos all the xenogenders you get me ?

also. lesbian. duh. but also . i want to talk about it because it very much interests me. i def think shes ace because i hit every character i like with the ace beam but iiii. dont see her as aro? as much as i love aroace hcs i feel like it doesn't fit tome . at most i could see her on the aro spectrum..... i could totally see greyromantic tho maybe. but also specifically i dont think i could see her using orientation-specific labels, only gender labels. like she would call herself gnc/andro & specify her pronouns & list her most prominent xenogenders but when you ask about her orientation shes like. Girls 👍

i lik 2 explore her dynamic with takenaka & i think alot of people do honestly LOL. initially of course takenaka feels like a little bit of bitterness towards her because he understands she'd probably see him as nothing more than a guinea pig for her obsessions. but post telepathy arc i think they get along more cause he understands her way of thinking and fears & she understands that he (and others) actually DO care. i like to think they hang out & he manages to read her really well after a while without even needing telepathy.

i think she plays mhfu. i think this because i'm autistic leave me alone. tri ultimate makes more sense considering it was the most recent game to come out at that time but also it's got the smallest monster roster of any of the games, so mhfu it is. i think she'd main insect glaive (having essentially a telepathic communication with a little insect friend is such a cool idea to her) and her favorite monster would be yama tsukami. yama is literally perfect. it's outlandish, has a completely unique skeleton from any other monster in the games (save for yama kurai who was technically not a canon monster because it only existed in frontier) and it is quite literally an UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECT. she would think that's rad as hell, and be very sad that it's not a popular monster (only solidifying her concept of isolation/alienation from her peers, liking things that are unusual to enjoy)

a weird hc i always had for her. i think she plucks out her eyebrow hairs so they r a little patchy almost? i knew someone who used 2 do that when i was younger and i think its something she would have done . speaking of hair she definitely cuts her own hair. SOMETHING TELLS ME SHE HAS PROBABLY TRIED TO DYE IT BEFORE. it didnt go well. her hair has never been the same

i think she's a big fan of new sensory experiences. that is a stim toy bitch if i ever saw one. i think she likes the textures most people find uncomfortable, like sandpaper or scratchy textures . not a picky eater but has a general preference for crunchy/hard stuff over things that melt in her mouth does that make sense ... i think her least favorite food is cotton candy. idk what her fave food is because my food knowledge is limited to bangladeshi cuisine and white people food (save me) but if i think of anything ill edit this. i actually implemented this into my design for her but she has alien earrings and they r kinda squishy. i think she messes with them when shes bored

shes dexterous as fuck with her hands. she could totally learn to shuffle a deck of cards fast as hell or play the shell game (cup shuffle) if she had interest in physical games. i think once she started working at s&s and really getting along with the rest of the Gang she would start playing card games & they always ask her to shuffle. not even reigen does it as well. years of gaming has trained tomes hands to levels not even reigen could dream of reaching

i think she'd be some kind of translator/ambassador... a high standing position based on middle-man communication. a linguist maybe? i think her obsession with the supernatural would eventually leave her down the path of like, culture study, to learn more about different regions mythical creatures. i also really like the post-canon ideas where she works with mezato as an investigator, WHICH ACTUALLY ACTS AS A SEGUE INTO MY NEXT HC

i think her and mezato would get along so well. its such a shame we never get a proper interaction between them. obviously their only canon interactions are accompanied by shigeo in which both of them r trying to grab his attention in some way and theres a little bit of conflict in that (tome realizing shige is a little uncomfortable with mezato pestering him about the cult & swooping in to give him an out) but i think if they genuinely decided 2 meet up and hang out they'd be a force to behold . girls who are wildly enthusiastic about their particular craft who seem to be somewhat outcasted even from their peers who hold similar interests. mezato being the most interested member of the journaling club & tome being the only person in the telepathy club who actually gives a fuck about telepathy!!!!! the thing about mezato though is that i dont think she is self conscious in the way that tome is. tome's like. worried about taking up others' time with her own interests that she clearly is the only one interested in. she thinks she should be grateful that they're even listening to her (atleast thats what i gathered from takenaka's reading of her thoughts during telepathy arc) and that no one but her truly gives a shit about the things she's into. and i dont have a firm grasp on mezato's character, but i think shes something of an inverse of tome in that sense. mezato's more confident about her interests, as well as being more confident in parading it around maybe. so i think they'd get along by being inverses of eachother. im not confident in describing mezato so i hope you kind of get what im saying

ok wow i got off track. i think she's one of those kids who had like a crazy amount of allergies when they were younger but eventually they faded as they got older. shes totally allergic to cats.

she . in the best way that i could possibly muster. feels like a middle child. she feels like someone who has a shit ton of siblings/lives with a big family does this make sense. i think she'd have like two older brothers and a little brother. am i insane can anyone else sense this.

The amazing digital circus! (review)

So... people actually want my opinion and Im like

*sniff* Ok, guys! Im gonna try to do my best to review (?) the pilot ep for Tadc! (Spoiler alert: I enjoyed a lot!)

First of all, the animation. IS. BEAUTIFUL.

So elastic, so expresive, so shiny, is just perfect!

Like, for example, just look at her pupils, how she slightly moves her head, is something little but add a lot of life to the character.

And they are so expresive like you can see their fear and stuff, especially Pomni.

Everything is so full of life and colours, I just love when animators actually take advantage of animation and go crazy with it.

And the designs are really good too! I love them. The best ones are Caine and Kinger.

They are so... crazy. And thats great! Besides, I think the giant eyes on Kinger just makes him look more traumatized, which makes sense, because for what we know, he has been in the circus the longest.

Now the characters themselves. I like them. Just so much personality, and fun. Specially Jax.. he is an unapologetic asshole and I just love that.

Ragatha is nice. Hope to see more of her, but rigth know I dont have a lot to say about her, but she is likeable and kind. She is just what Pomni needs.

Il talk about Pomni, but later, cause I wanna comment some interesting stuff about her.

Gangle is cute and deserves a big hug.

Zooble is... okay too. I dont dislike her and she has some funny momens, but like Ragatha, I need to see more of her to make a more complete opinion. I KNOW is the pilot, but I still need more content. IM NOT CRITICIZING, IS JUST MY OPINION. Actually is good that they dont focus a lot on ALL the characters, because it would be a confusing mess, so, well done there, Glitch and Goose.

Kinger was freaking hilarious. Like when Jax mentions how stable Kinger and Gangle are, Kingle start to shake in a really weird but hilarious way. Or when he screams randomly and says that Gangle startled him.

I like this guy :D

Then we have Caine... oh boy, he is one of the most interesting characters, with Pomni and... Kaufmo.

He acts so happy and cheerful and stuff, and like a presenter. He is actually kinda nice, but is obvious that he is hiding something, like when Pomni asks about the exit and he gets all weird.

NOW. Lets talk about my waifu- about Pomni.

She is so realistic and human and relatable and I love that. And not just because she is so super confused and scared and anxious, but for other scenes.

The moment where Ragatha needs help, and Pomni actually extends her hand and grabs her, only to start glitching. She gest scared, apologizes and runs away. But she feels guilty and comes back to apologizes to Ragatha, who forgives her.

I LOVED THIS SCENE SO MUCH. Pomni became more than just the anxious main character and became a bit more tridimensional.

Another moment I loved related to her. This:

Is a very short scene... but it means so much. How she is just in shock an touches her face, like she just cant believe this is her. This is happening to her. And it adds to the existencial horror of the show.

And the most incredible one and amazed me is when she actually goes in the exit door. Like... she did want to help Ragatha, but this could have been her only chance to escape. Im sure anyone of us, including myself, would have done it.

But then the poor woman is traped in a bucle and starts to get crazy and laugh... I think I would have reacted exactly the same.

Or that last shot of her and her disturbed face.

DAMN, EVERYTHING IS SO GOOD. AND THE MUSIC TOO.

I LOVED THE INTRO. The comedy too! And the outro was so cute!

This show has showed us the potential it has for the horror AND I CANT WAIT.
