I wasn't originally going to do any of the other girls, I didn't think I had it in me, but I wanted to do more of this art so bad and I felt bad leaving Alexis at Alfea by herself so here we are!

I even decided to not just draw Alexis with them but also revamp her Enchantix at the last minute because the other girls were totally outdoing her, especially in the wings department and we can't have that! I mean all I really did was reshape her wings and add a tiara but still lolol 🤭💕

Big shocker that the songs from the 2 good episodes are in S and the only one that isn’t is still B tier/sar

The first 2 songs in S made me either tear up/shake violently or cry, and therefore they deserve to be up there IMO. Out for love is also just genuinely catchy and had actual build up to it. Also God “Ready for This” just. OOUGGGHHH IT SCRATCHES MY BRAIN SO GOOD LIKE A WARRIOR CATS MAP. I like it a lot. You cant have multiple characters sing about working together and expect me to NOT cry.

“Stayed Gone” isn’t one I listen to often but it’s so peppy and fast and full of hatred I can’t help but enjoy it. Also everytime the song starts my brain does this

I have. Issues. With “Loser, Baby” but aside from those the song holds a lot more weight to it than I usually give it credit for. And for as cheesy as the start if it is, the line before of Angel talking about self destructing resonates with me a lot. Also Husk lays down in a puddle of vomit and no one talks about that ever.

I think the first song in B is “Happy Day in Hell” and I’m adding it there 1. Because it is the first song 2. It gets a reprise thing 3. Charlie almost gets hit by a truck. Other than that it’s not really my favourite but I respect the impact it has.

“Hell is Forever” just fucks. End of story. Alex Brightman killed it.

“Respectless” is good I love Velvette’s VA, but the sudden start of the song and the ending are so out of left field the first time me and my friends watched this show we had to pause cause we lost our fucking minds. Could’ve been better but I’d listen to it again, yeah.

“Hell’s Greatest Dad” is silly and funny and maybe I’m biased as a violin player and jazz enjoyer but a lot of the instrumental tickles my brain so nicely. I will say though it confuses me so much because why does Alastor care about being seen as a father figure?? My mom said it could just be him wanting to show up Lucifer and that’s it but I dunno.

“More than Anything (Reprise)” AKA “Charlie and Veggie Kiss Scene - Hazbin Hotel”

This song sounds like it’s straight out of Barbie & Th Diamond Castle and I’m honestly pissed the girls in the movie didn’t kiss so I’m coping with this. ALSO THE FACT ITS A REPRISED SONG ABOUT LOVE MAKES ME A BIT CRAZY. I never noticed this was the same song Lucifer sang to Charlie SOMEHOW but that’s actually really cute.

“It Starts With Sorry” Has a big part in Sir Pentious’s character growth and just his character in general. I’ve been working on this in my Pentious rant but I never see people mention how much this song probably meant to him. Yeah it’s super corny, but he was fully expecting to be killed and had just been told to kill himself. This was definitely huge for him and I’m not gonna be convinced otherwise.

“You Didn’t Know” is really good but Lute’s part is by far the best and I pray to GOD she gets her own song in S2 her voice actor can SING. GODDAMN! I am very interested in Lute’s character development and I love seeing what people do with close-minded characters like that and hopefully Vivzie doesn’t condemn her to Vivziepop Woman Syndrome. If she isn’t important in S2 I’m going to be pissed but I dunno maybe S3 if we get one.

“More Than Anything” Wish my dad was like this! This song is incredibly sweet and I appreciate it a lot. Honestly might go way higher on the list if I keep thinking about it.

“Whatever It Takes” Sorry you will never be Imagine Dragons. Vaggie doesn’t sound anything like herself cause her VA is making her voice so much more gruff for her character, which is fine! I like her voice (the voice direction is not very good but I digress) it’s just her voice is so high in this I can’t even tell it’s Vaggie.

“Welcome to Heaven” is boring, but we got a Molly cameo!

“Poison”. Read this and this and this. -10/10. I’d rather make out violently with Elon Musk.

This will be my first post with Jing Yuan, and hopefully it's at least somewhat accurate to his character haha! It's so funny they actually have the same english va, very fitting given the similarities. Gonna do this where they're courting you and you're trying to keep working, which proves to be difficult in one way or another. Gender neutral reader

Cyno:

He seems to be showing up to your workplace for no real reason. Your colleagues never got any problems with him, never being interviewed, and he was mainly talking to you when he could. What drew him to you, you have absolutely no idea.

All you knew was his presence was causing some drama in the workplace. People spreading rumours about you, saying you were either bribing him with less than materialistic needs to cover for crimes, or saying you were under investigation.

But when he was talking to you, he was always either asking to play a game of TCG or he was cracking jokes. From what you heard of him, he was much more different when there was an investigation going on about a suspect.

When you ask Cyno about why he's there, he is honest and explains he was interested in getting to know you better - as a friend, or as a potential lover. You explain your concerns, and Cyno understands the impression some people seem to be getting.

You'd think he would figure out a location where it wouldn't be suspicious, but you'd be wrong.

Instead, he buys you a starter pack for TCG and he makes you play a round. No, you can't back out, not since you've caught his attention. Now, he finally got to train you as his apprentice in TCG while getting closer to you.

Jing Yuan:

You worked with a team of researchers, in a field you were trained specifically, and before you caught his eye you never had any issues.

This all changes when Jing Yuan starts to go out of his way to chat with you. You all knew you weren't in trouble, but the fact that he was spending so much time talking to you led you to believe he must be slacking off somewhere. It wasn't that you thought he didn't care about his work, but there was only so much he could delegate to other people. Your superior pulls you aside one day, telling you to turn him off as much as you could as this was starting to get in the way of your research.

So, you try to turn a cold shoulder to him whenever he made an appearance. He still spoke to you, but you never respond to his words. When that doesn't work, the next time he shows up you try to hide away or find another piece of work you magically needed to complete urgently.

But he was smarter than you thought.

He insists on you talking to him, stating that it was an order to delegate some of your time to him. Your superior isn't very happy to hear of this, but since this was Jing Yuan they give in.

Jing Yuan still let you do your research when you needed to, but when that was happening he would try and catch your attention however he could.

And yes, he makes sure you get your meals in every day. Even if that means hand delivering the goods himself.

MORE Summertime Band info I found!

If you're not familiar with the Summertime Band, they were an animatronic band made by Dave Thomas, a lead artist for Creative engineering.

They were installed at Carrousel Park, an indoor 'kiddie' amusement center in Metcalf South Mall. I found some more information on them! Including a photo!!

^ This article mentions that there was a Gift Shop called "Miss. Felicia's Gifts and Souvenirs", if you didn't know, from some of the only footage we have of these guys, the dog on the very left is addressed as Felicia (Or That's what my ears hear). The gift shop in question sold a bunch of different stuff too!

"The gift shop, Miss Felicia's Gifts and Souvenirs, sells stick candy, twist pops and other items that recall days gone by while the popcorn and cotton-candy machines have an antique look.

To top things off for this theory, take another look at this brochure, the pillar is in the same spot. Not to mention the vines on it too.

To me, at least, this is the same stage shown in that more modern tour of Carrousel park. If anyone has a higher quality version of this brochure, please do share!

This movie was a damn work of art, and everyone who brought it to existence deserves some damn credit.

That was like my 10th time overall watching it, but like it's been 8 times for the Japanese audio, and once per movie for the subtitles and English dub.

Anyway, I'm about to give my thoughts on the dub under the cut, so read dat if you want :p

If not, I'll be off to go cry about my love for this series and how I missed the entirety of it's fandom life.

Stephanie Cheh deserves like some real props for her voice acting as Usagi/Sailor Moon/Princess Serenity/Neo-Queen Serenity AND CHIBI CHIBI AND SAILOR COSMOS LIKE DUDE

I have only ever known her as Hinata or Orihime- both slightly damsel in distress, Shonen female leads/love interests. But after binging the hell out of Crystal and 90s for the last year, she is MY Usagi Tsukino. She owned the hell out of that role. (Of course I mean in English. Of course Kotono Mitsuishi will always be the true Usagi. They both got a deed to the role if you ask me)

I was particularly hoping for a great delivery on the scene just before Galaxia leads her to the galaxy couldron since reading those pages in my head ("A destroyer like you could never understand!") HIT and I wanted Stephanie to live up to it. Well, deliver she did.

Cherami had the hardest line as Galaxia Cuff Sailor Venus- "Looks like we're your enemy now. Nice to see you again, Sailor Moon." CAN SHE PLAY MORE VILLIANS?! LOL.

Once again Robbie Daymond putting his heart into playing Evil Mamo. He literally said at a con recording of Braving the Elments, that he likes to play villians and that showed here lol. He sounded kinda tired during the airport scene and the opening date scene. I dunno.

Okay actually everyone who had a vilian roll clearly had fun.

Idk who voices Galaxia by name, but damn

Yaten's va is amazing. Sailor Kakyuu gave me princess Celestia vibes, which then made me think Galaxia sounded like Trixie and one of the gardeners sounded like Icy from Winx

*sigh* why didn't they record an English song for Search for Your Love? Like- I appreciate the Japanese lyrics but it's the same thing that happened with all of Uta's music in Film Red. It sounds good but then it's a very sudden language shift.

Anyyyywhooooo the movies were great. I sincerely love em. Dub had some hiccups here and there, but for the most part, I was quite pleased.

Yall I was working on a kuroshitsuji YTP directors cut extended edition version 2.0 and part of this involved cutting up bits of the Ciel in Wonderland OVA, and folks lemme tell ya… I did not like what I saw 😂 and no I’m not just talking about the Ran Mao mushroom though that was upsetting, I’m talking about the potential foreshadowing in this OVA.

At the end when Ciel Alice is on trial Madame Red along with the jury, comprised of people such as Lizzy, Soma, and the Phantomhive servants, accuse OCiel of the crime of “being born” and “taking Ciel away from them.” Knowing what we know now from later manga chapters it’s kind of awful? I felt really bad for him! It screams survivor’s guilt. And then Sebastian comes to save him from being beheaded and tells him some shit about it doesn’t matter what happened or who he is or whatever the fuck because he’s Sebastian’s commander.

And then we see that Sebastian was telling this “bedtime story” to Ciel’s dead body the whole time. WTF?!

Now I dunno if it’s meant to be an in between of season one and season two when Ciel’s soul was “stolen” or if this is some kind of weird foreshadowing. Hard for me to tell because the anime has done that before where despite being so off-canon it actually also manages to drop hints at future manga developments way before they’re printed?

So I’m just saying it’s concerning to me that this is the second anime related production where we have Sebastian doing tasks for a dead Ciel. The other one is a VA event where everything’s really silly and then at the end they slap everyone in the face with Sebastian outside the ruins of the manor with a birthday cake for Ciel who’s extremely dead. I get this bad feeling like the end of the manga he’s going to be keeping Ciel’s dead body around and butlering to it until it decays entirely because he doesn’t know how to grieve and cope with Ciel being dead.

Fuck!!! Yana don’t, girl please do not. (She’s gonna isn’t she)

Barbie in the Nutcracker: First Thoughts

The following is my thoughts while watching this for the first time.

Credits look awful. Still, it’s 2001 and this is the first installment so I’ll give it a pass.

Only know the basic Nutcracker song and theme but nice that it uses an orchestra

Barbie herself doesn’t look too bad but her little sis… yikes.

Kinda weird to see these dolls moving like mocap performers.

Heh! Barbie’s voice actor has the same name as her little sister.

Kelly very clearly sounds like an adult woman trying to do a kiddish voice.

Lipsyncing is odd, looks more like generic flapping.

Surprisingly decent snow effects.

I’m assuming Clara’s parents are either dead or abandoned them. Or they could also just be on vacation.

Is it wrong that I find Grandpa cute? Gives off a very distinguished vibe. Especially that voice.

They call gingerbread houses “christmas boxes”? That’s… interesting.

Kinda wish they gave Clara a different voice from Barbie, or at the very least a different hairstyle.

The lighting is actually pretty good! Nice warm hues, makes me feel like I’m at a cozy inn.

Her little brother looks like the kids who played Fortnite and would tease me in high school. Of course his name is fuckin’ Tommy.

This CGI is reminding me of early PS2 cutscenes.

Captain Candy’s a better man than Mint, as he actually makes sure that he gets saved.

Once again, the island is beautiful! Reminds me of Oz with the colored roads.

Ooh clever! At first I thought the castle’s backdrop looked really fake but I just factored it was because it’s 2001 CGI. But it was actually a trap!

Nice we see a test of Clara’s character that she passed.

The invisble hand touching Clara’s hand is actually making me feel kinda teary-eyed internally.

The Rat King definitely has a Napoleon complex.

Loving the character arc for Nutcracker with his final duel.

I'll have you know I had about the same reaction to the "You are the story I started 50.000 years ago" line, it just brings up so many questions; VA's lore is scattered as it is and very little is given to us, so just dropping something like this in a convo I doubt a lot of people have read is so [vague hand gestures] it's quite late at night when I'm writing this so forgive any incomprehensibility: the line itself, combined with some others there ("It's tone was surprisingly laden with grief, as if it was lamenting a past that could not return") read to me as slightly contrary to VA being merely a Divine Key, it sounds like he has an amount of history in the PE; my personal idea that is pure unadulterated speculation is that VA might have started out as just a person who had something to do with the PE HoR? it would explain the fact that he repeatedly speaks to a "you" which is clearly not actually Joey in this convo and doesn't seem to be Welt Joyce either considering the 50k years thing, that is to say maybe VA even inherited the core (woo Welt paralel) of the PE HoR; considering that Vill-V does say that the Core of Reason is fucking weird [paraphrasing] and, at least if my memory is holding up, Welt did retreat into the Herrscher Core at least once to avoid dying, there's nothing saying VA couldn't have also pulled that and ended up getting his ass merged with that Fragment of Prommy and turned into the only DK we know to be sentient, I dunno I'm sleep deprived that being said the 3rd line I sent last time would imply that VA was also like not human if all of this happened... I'll just say he yoinked a body Orokapi style and call it a day cuz I think if I keep trying to get these thoughts down on paper they will actually become complete word vomit [thumbs up emoji] anyhow the ramble section ended up being longer than I intended... but the fact that we really know so little of his lore does make my brain go haywire, if they ever explain Void Archives' lore properly that'll probably all be disproven but it's what I came up with considering what we know (and I remember)

“There was no more gravity that bound him to the mortal world” I think this one is in reference to Void Archives likely using the Fenghuang Down… ouuu

I definitely think the PE Herrschers besides Elysia all being nothing more than the names of said Herrschers in the story is one of the things that blocks my road here. Me and a friend have theorised plenty of things about the PE HoR, but none can be confirmed, none are even implied!!! A character with such a nothingburger that you can just make shit up and no one could tell you yes or no. My favorite theory is that the PE HoR looked just like Otto, but a girl. Because it’s funny. But now I don’t know… I can’t sacrifice my integrity for humor… I think the idea of the person that used to be what later became Void Archives was a part of the HoR core is really interesting. It would take from the whole “artificial thing struggles with humanity”, because then they’d have already been human once, but at the same time it would be as if they were reclaiming their humanity which is also intriguing etc etc… it’s really interesting. I initially thought Void Archives’ sentience came from them being part Prometheus since she’s sentient too, but at the same time why would Vill-V merge them with her then..? Because Prometheus is an AI so she can handle the “ever expanding knowledge”? Don’t know… so much left in the air, most Void Archives lore we know is stitched together thanks to No.17 who hasn’t talked about them even once. Thank you for sharing!!! I’m having lots of thoughts…

Did something actually happen??? I dont trust tiktok when it comes to authenticity but its the only place I can find this even being talked about. besides the OBVIOUS blasphemy and biblical inaccuracies, the show does have a lot of issues with writing and pacing. I didn't laugh at ANY joke in those 4 episodes (though Angel calling Vaggie the actual V word almost got me for some stupid reason 🤷‍♀️)

I don't like some of the VA changes they did, Vaggie sounds bland, Husk's voice doesn't really fit the design of the character IMO, and even tho she isn't a big/important character I DO NOT LIKE THE NEW VOICE THEY GAVE KATIE KILLJOY. I got used to all the other VAs, and kinda prefer the new voice for Alastor over the old. also I would like to congratulate the show for being the first to make canon ships feel like unbelievable cringe fanon ships (the cat and spider, and snake and cherry)

I'll also sometimes scroll through the tag on twitter to see what's going on and what criticisms other people have, like with the whole Angel Poison episode (and which imo when she hires a storyboarder that has a r4p3/n0nc0n f3t1sh to do it, I think that's pretty messed up)

and of course I find out in the episodes I haven't seen they added St Peter and made him a white guy with blond hair, same with making Adam white (I dunno if Adam coulda been darker irl but 🤷‍♀️) as I said in a post on twitter, it's clear Vivz has some animosity towards Christians/Christianity so she's gonna twist and be inaccurate. (true accuracy wouldn't even allow her show to exist, as Adam's song has some truth in it "Hell IS forever" so there'd be no chance of redemption)

[SPOILER] I've noticed from some posts that they got Pentious to heaven, so I see that it actually IS possible for the sinners to be redeemed.

will I watch the new episodes? when I get around to it. I'd say the show is 90% trash. and even tho I don't necessarily like it, nor Vivz as a person, I still like some of the characters (and their designs) even if I don't agree with their actions. if anyone has a problem with me still drawing characters while '''hatin''' on the show, they can just deal with it tbh 😏

I wish I could find a suitable picture to show just how much this building looks like the old Spanish missions dotting the landscape in certain parts of the Southwestern U.S., but it seems like 99.9999% of the pictures are of the buildings inside the walls... or of the ones that have been extensively renovated rather than having crumbly bits like so many of them do. Some quick Spanish notes on page 134 here for those who may not hear these terms so frequently: Mi Amigo = my friend (may not actually indicate a friend; can also be used to create a mock-friendly tone in a situation where intimidation is coming into play) Jefe (pronounced "heh-fay") = slang term meaning "boss" or "leader" (can also be used sort of like "man" or "dude" in English, or in a mock-friendly tone to kinda rub in that the person being called "jefe" is not in charge of the situation) Comprende? = Do you understand?

Ok, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this. I love the absolute chaos of the top part taking over the whole page, with this guy's shouting bearing down on Vash and the family from the top, claws sweeping in from the left with a motion so fast and deadly it leaves motion lines going all the way up the page... and then, cutting in at the bottom, in a panel that's practically pure-white serenity, the soft but definite *click* of the Punisher's machine gun opening. Beautiful.

And, of course, we turn the page into a two-page spread of Wolfwood letting 'er rip, adding a more controlled and entirely different type of chaos to the scene.

LOL, BF's mad. Just a little, though. Confusion has tempered his anger.

Ok, this, though. How the angle goes from him carelessly tapping Vash on the head with his gun (while practicing shit trigger discipline, I might add) to us looking up at Wolfwood from a perspective very close to what Vash's would be if he could lift his head. How, in the second panel, Wolfwood looks like a desperate man about to pull an executioner's trigger out of fear and confusion for the unknown before him. How, even so, he's debating if Vash is actually the monster he's heard of when there's so much evidence that, despite superhuman skills that Wolfwood has witnessed multiple times firsthand, Vash seems so kind and cares so much for people he ends up in this situation even while half-dead.

Meanwhile, Vash seems to be taking well-deserved nap....

Bonus thoughts: So I read a fanfic where reader was being taken care of by a dependent plant but that plant's more sentient than the other dependants. So cuz of that I have this silly imagination of a kid who's in the ship where Vash grew up on and that kid befriended that kind of dependent plant. (This is TriStamp-coded btw) Then it gets sillier, cuz then the dependent somehow have the ability to become tiny and the kid has container for the dependent. How does the dependent survive? Because of the special water it was in! ๑(◕‿◕)๑ .....I'm not sure if that would be possible but anything can be possible in the fanfic world

I dunno if it’s the same thing or even comparable but I’ve been in a weird fugue for months and the past three days I’ve felt alarmingly normal and I feel a weird type of dread like I’m gonna stop being normal and go back into the swamp soon if that makes sense?

As someone who has been burnt out for months from lack of employees at my store I def get the whole like… living through a haze thing? Like wake up go to work come home watch YouTube go to bed rinse and repeat… especially with having chronic fatigue already like just wandering around yawning constantly wanting to take a nap then you get home and you’re not tired so you stay up until 1am and then you’re tired the next day like. It’s a lot? Like I’m going to have chronic fatigue every day but there are certainly some days I feel more “awake” and “normal”. Like when I go to VA Beach by myself I go out to the beach, I go to the mall, I go walk around, like I almost feel like a normal person!!! But then there’s me today at work and I’m standing over this framing piece and I’m yawning, there are times I’ll have to take a break from working and put my head down and just keep my head down for a few seconds and like…. relax, recover, and reset before I keep working. And same with like IBS some days I can eat whatever I want and some days I literally can only eat like 3 things and it feels like there’s no rhyme or reason to it.

For me with the bpd I’ve been good since “sorting things out” with one girl I have a crush on (🔮) and then just trying to drop shit with the other girl I have a crush on (⚡️), and I was doing good and not being super symptomatic until I actually hung out with ⚡️ for the first time Sunday and like… I REALLY feel like we had some sort of chemistry and I’m trying to treat it as nbd but now I’m back to checking my IG for a message back from her constantly after last week I had finally made myself stop because I knew she wasn’t going to message me back. Like I feel like I undid all the work I did to move on.

Chapter 90: “Let’s Win”

I know it’s impossible to tell since Leuvis doesn’t have visible ears, but I can assume that he’s trying very hard to locate where the group disappeared to by sound since the method of putting your hands up to your ear is something we’ve seen Emma do quite a lot of post-escape.

Seeing Emma just toss aside any idea she isn’t fond of with a big “No” always gets a chuckle outta me. Whether it’s trying to get Yuugo to be more friendly in ch64 or completely shutting down Norman’s idea of demon annihilation in ch153, y’all are better off just listening to the story’s mc.

It’s fun seeing Emma give orders too. And I dunno how to explain it but I like how the first Emma and the scared Nigel are drawn.

I also love how Ray stays quiet throughout this whole discussion. He’s already set on following Emma’s plan (once she thinks of one) and knows that her ideals are normally correct. It’s only a matter of time before the other two realize it as well.

After losing Norman, there’s no way in hell she’s gonna make that same mistake twice. It’s great that she admits she’s indeed scared of Leuvis (I mean, who wouldn’t be, honestly?) but still strives to win the battle her way, no matter the danger.

There’s a short video of Erica Mendez (Emma’s dub va) reading this page and I can’t tell you how many emotions it makes me feel now since the anime denied us of this arc and we won’t ever actually hear or see any of it.

You can always count on Ray to approach things logically.

This brief moment where Palvus is watching and staring at them is probably funnier than it should be. And I’m once again asking permission for my boy to curse just once.

Oliver mentioned in ch88 how we’d have the advantage indoors due to the narrow space space and he is 100% correct. Look at this dude, he has to crouch so far down to even remain slightly standing.

Always enjoyed this little parkour moment of Ray jumping over the table.

Favorite panel/moment:

The entirety of Yuugo calling Emma by her name for the first time, starting off with how he reluctantly agrees to stay and fight instead of run away, with the small whack he gives her. Poor girl wasn’t expecting that kind of response or the fairly long nickname, but it’s quite special for the last time we’re gonna hear such a thing.

The very moment itself!! along with the slight pause it takes Emma to even register what he said and the big smile on her face one she realizes it. Even Ray is caught off guard!

The way she does not even hesitate to ask him his in return and Yuugo trying so hard to drop the subject all together. You can’t take back what you said buddy, like it or not, you’re friends now!

Luckily he keeps this promise to her too, even waiting til after she wakes up once back in the shelter. This smile of hers right here has gotta be one of my favorite panels of her.. it’s dazzling enough to fill me with much happiness!

They added s15 czech dub on max and i was thinking i might do rewatch with just that next time maybe add eng subs to see the difference u know for funsies Deans czech VA is actually really good and Sams is extra sassy i thought i could see it whole in my mother tongue. It all started for me like that because spn was on czech tv anyway. Minus is Cas change of VA but its not that bad in later seasons when i checked my favorite parts

And then i had to check the confession scene when i found it was added and 💀 im sorry but u did your work incorrect again its the same as czech subs thats why i gave up on them because there were major mistakes in translations and god ‘mám tě rád’ is nowhere near ‘i love you’ not in that scene. (It felt emotional otherwise they did good job i cried anyway but that end angered me it just doesnt fit were u there last 12 years or not) Czech language is complex and hard yea but i dunno you can do it better sometimes they just translate some stuff literally and it makes no sense..make it make sense first 🤡

If anything the czech ‘mám tě rád’ is at least to me closest to ‘i like you’ or ‘I adore you’ in english

So i guess ill go spanish dub? 👀
