to any of my followers who have blogs on tumblr how do you get interactions??? 😭 i know i'm not on here as much as i probably should but i have almost 1k followers but i rarely get messages and when i do it's about when i'm updating fics 😭 like i wanna grow my blog to be more than just a place where i write but a place where i can also kind of have a community 😅 i know I've been taking forever writing but like these outpours of messages only about when i'm finishing monkey bars pt 2 is killing me esp when i just released a huge fic that doesn't even have 200 notes 🥲 idk sorry if i'm being annoying and sounding entitled but i really really wanna do more on tumblr but i'm kind of lost like i want to know my followers and make friends i just don't think i know how so if anyone has tips pls lmk

#sending you all so much love #it's crazy how a year has zipped by #every so often i'll come by and check up on the dash and i love seeing all the familiar names <33 #I'll prolly write a more official post in the new year at some point #but im so eager for this work contract to end at the end of this year #im grateful for the job in many ways but in others it was really burnt me out and drained me #ready to turn a new leaf in the new year #and hopefully get some of my creative motivation back when my mind clears #ive put even art/painting on the sidelines as well this year which is something im sad about #but on the positives I think ive had a lot of personal and emotional growth this year that im really proud of!!#(still dont have a driver's license though.. LOL OOP)#and ive really worked on my anxiety and depression. like even if this job is burning out and depressing me// I don't feel DEPRESSED ya kno.#ive just been experiencing a lot of personal growth and change #and the people around me in my life have told me that they've seen changes in me this year too so :')#BUTTTTTT #I so so miss my creative outlets and I feel like I've neglected that this year #I went from escapism to fully avoiding the outlets so now I think it's time to transition into the healthy middle #anywaaaay #hope yall have been doing amazing #love u all and ill probably pop in here for the holidays <33 #blows u all kisses #ooc #tbd

yeah sex is great but have you ever unflooded your street by removing leaves from the storm drains using the litter-grabber tool you bought from lowe's two weeks ago for that exact purpose?

#every year my street floods in the autumn when it rains heavily. usually multiple times. every year!!!#i hate it it's so stressful. and of course the cars keep driving down it even though it's unsafe. a lot don't even slow down #and they throw up these huge walls of water with their passage #the street becomes totally unusable for pedestrians wheelchair users bikers strollers etc.#it's just the worst. and every year i'm like oh i should get a thingy so i can do something about it #and i never do in time. but this year. THIS year. watch out world #i cleaned out the drains preventively a few times in the past couple weeks but today is the first day of somewhat heavy wind and rain #so i went out this evening and two of the four drains were completely clogged :( but i got out my tool & as soon as i cleared a little spac #a whirlpool formed and sucked all the water into it! with this amazing noise. it was fantastic #then i cleared away the rest of the leaves cuz that tiny spot would get covered up very quickly otherwise #i came back by an hour later and they're still looking great <3 i'm basking in the afterglow #it is funny how much easier a homeowner could do this than me. those people have yard debris cans #they have space for shovels. god. a shovel. my kingdom for a shovel #i'm just piling the leaves on the curb one handful at a time and then leaving them there (out of the way of everyone of course)#because i have nowhere else to put them and no way to transfer them farther distances #but it's mostly just apartments near this intersection so we gotta do it for ourselves #anyway i'm probably gonna have to do it again tomorrow because there are a lot of dead leaves out there right now #but man! i've never been able to do anything about this before except call the city and wait for them to send someone. this feels so good

#not whump #consider this a happy vent #but it’s worked fucking wonders #and feeling like that is such a relief #I remember while waiting on the diagnosis I saw a tiktok #of a person talking about how they were just prescribed adhd meds #and they were so hyped and they had just cleaned their bedroom and their kitchen and their bathroom #and they were so exited #that’s what yesterday was like for me #it felt /good/#and going to work isn’t so draining anymore #its fucking amazing

exploring creative careers?? who knew could be kind of fun??

#reasonable #okay so i just finished my first year of American College and i was. unimpressed to say the least #when i was choosing which college to go to i had two choices: out of state (super expensive) for a creative major #or in-state (more reasonably affordable) for a more major #so i went with the safe option and did in-state #and i am.. not very impressed #i mean its a good school! i love the staff and the community and the campus #ive made amazing friends and socially feel very secure and happy #its the academics and career path that im not interested in at all #i kind of always told myself in highschool that id never be able to do creative careers because they just werent reasonable #which is not correct right i just wasnt giving myself the chance #this year has been INCREDIBLY taxing on me mentally due to my struggle with academics and my adhd #if u have adhd you know how draining it is to be forced to put all your energy into something that doesnt make u happy #its like punching concrete with your fist #but anyway the point is. ive been looking at beauty schools for cosmetology :)#its very daunting. in a big city really far away from home #but also achievable?? inspiring?? creative?? fun???#its not a set thing but. we'll see where the wind takes me!!#you never know #westy's shit

I failed the driving test today :)))

#I was so close to passing #my brain feels like it's being boiled and grated like cheese at the same time #I'm amazed I did as well as I did #I would have passed but hesitated too long at a yellow light near the end of the route 😭#it's nobody's fault but mine but my instructor berating me beforehand didn't help me have my head on straight that's for sure #she's always done that always lectures me about what I'm supposed to do like .5 seconds after I'm supposed to do it #give me time to turn the damn wheel before you yell at me to turn the wheel!!!#the trst proctor was cool tho because sje didn't say anything except where I should turn #what a shocker I do better when I'm not being yelled at #too bad about the failing mark #I was hoping to be done with this driving school and this instructor #that was nearly $200 down the drain #now I have to swallow my pride and call them again for a retest #because I don't have anyone to help me and go with me to the DMV for the test #I'm extremely '''late''' to driving but I never considered or realized how hard it would be to do all this the older I got #because everyone is busy with their own lives #and my family has either moved elsewhere or doesn't talk to me #this sucks :)))#it's expensive not having a family or lots of friends #what an unexpected lesson #my post #*not having a big family that's functional

Hopefully a small plant knockover won't be as disastrous as a large plant knockover

#speculation nation #plants #i also cleaned up the dirt mess on the desk lol #the ledge is still a lil dirty but i dont really care lol #i went and did some vacuuming. im gonna sweep and mop the floors after i pick up clutter #and then im gonna put stuff away from my counters. both kitchen and bathroom #and CLEAN THEM...#and then finish off with doing dishes bc that is like. 100% necessary and also my least favorite part #after i do dishes im not gonna wanna do more lol. ive already been at this for like 2 hours #BUT i got plants repotted. trash taken out. gnats murdered (in large part). dry groceries put away. rugs vacuumed #my bathroom rug is MUCH brighter now. who'd have guessed dirt and hair would make it look so dull lol #if im feeling REALLY inspired maybe i'll clean my bathtub too... and maybe my toilet....#i need to put in a maintenance request for my tub bc it's draining way too slowly #and also my air conditioning. bc lol #me cleaning my apartment is in large part so i can do those things without feeling completely and utterly mortified #ah the cycle. my living space becomes dirtier and dirtier until even im like 'this is Awful' and get off my ass to clean EVERYTHING #i havent had a deep clean of my apartment in like... lol... at least 2 months #i really need to clean out my fridge but thats a very high spoons requirement & i will not be able to do that today #it's honestly pretty amazing what all ive managed to accomplish thus far #the secret? i actually got DRESSED. im wearing shorts with pockets (for music listening) and a crop top (bc it's too HOT in here)#also put my hair up. im in the mentality of Must Do Stuff. & after everything im gonna shower bc Ugh #cleaning sucks lol. but i am doing it... unfortunately...

I had my snake for three days. And they squirmed out through the teeniest little slit in the lid that they shouldn't have been able to fit through. I've disassembled and searched through every piece of the room and the nearby rooms. Twice. It's looking like they went into the vents. Or the walls.

I've put out water and hides and pinkies in the vents and along the walls. I just want the little baby back and safe 💔

#also i have a rental inspection in. two days.#'is that a... mouse??? in your vent???' NO sir why would you think that ahaha #can things not get better for TWO SECONDS #i had my dream snake ive wanted since i was young. i was starting an amazing new job. i was feeling better mentally.#then BAM. three days later its going downhill.#i still have the job!! but ive been super tired bc i cant sleep bc my little baby snake is somewhere in this house #and i want to tear it to the ground to find them #but i cannot #and so my worry spirals into anxiety and depression and drains my energy #snakes are resilient! but she is a literal baby. and fuck. im so attached #i searched every inch of that enclosure trying to make sure the baby wouldnt escape #but they're gone anyways #within three. days.#if she doesn't make it i am not going to take it well #please come back. im so tired #also if anyone has advice. id welcome it.

as for what im into rn im kinda at a point where i dont have anything that im really hyperfixated on atm 😔 i have been playing a lot of dragon age and fallout recently tho if that counts

#i also reeeaally wanna replay drag/ons dog/ma cause even tho i finished it a year ago its still killing me #basically im into a lot of make your own character games rn and i just really like my characters from those games #i feel a bit iffy about posting ocs tbh but i just love them so much maybe one day ill share them #oh and theres gen/shin too but ive been in a love/hate relationship with it recently and it bums me out #as for cr im kinda just waiting for an update im interested in #cause even tho the creme republic looks amazing im kinda overwhelmed with how much story and new characters came with that update #idk cr in general just feels like theres so much new stuff happening that its hard to keep up with #it makes me miss the old days of just waiting for kingdom to even be released #and ovenbreak went from being something fun to do while youre bored to actually time consuming and stressful #which i guess is fine if all you wanna do is play cr but i just never have time to play it #also both ovenbreak and kingdom is just draining my storage HKGJD GOOD LORD #anon
