remember when people were swearing that mothpool was incest and awful because redtail was apparently sandstorm’s dad, something that was never portrayed in the books at all in any way, even when we got multiple spotlights on redtail and sandstorm after the erins said so, and in fact they retconned over that retcon so sandstorm has no canon parents and redtail never had a mate and kits.

and on top of that, the same people not saying a single word about bramblesquirrel even though they’re literally the same exact amount of related.... wonder what’s different about mothpool from bramblesquirrel. hm.

#im not saying incest is cool and fine but like. personally i dont get why ppl are so vigilant abt relations confirmed on twitter #especially when they include literal fucking siblings getting together and having kittens at certain points.#which iirc is something they took out thank god. but like even then ppl were defending it #actually. just realizing that all the gay ships are the ones that ppl try to pull this card on #some of it theyre right about. some of it just feels exhausting #i got told that hollycinder is incest and bad but i dont even think it is #and if its once again just redtail connection then well thats debunked so.#and even then. what about lioncinder. lion is holly's brother. wtf.#and i still see people to this day being like ''oh no its canon that redtail is sandstormsdad its so true so these gay ships suck''#like. i get the concern i truly do but im not gonna lie. i do not give a shit what the erins say online #and like canonically so much creepy shit goes away if u take away the ''oh these tworandom bg characters had sandstorm'' thing #like ashfur being squirrelflights uncle. so again..... why are people so determined to believe its canon #echoed voice
