i am so heartbroken right now. yesterday when i found out chester bennington died i immediately bursted out in tears and couldn’t stop the tears that came falling out. i was in shock. this isn’t just another celebrity death for me. this was my life.

linkin park have been my favorite band since i was like 4 years old, my siblings and i grew up listening to them. they’ve been the most consistent thing in my life through my childhood, preteens, teens, and now my college life. through all my other obsessions like the jonas brothers, selena gomez, damian mcginty, glee, the wanted, harry potter, connor franta, youtubers, they were always my top 3 favorite ever still, no matter what. it’s ridiculous how much this band has meant to me. they were my first concert back in 2011 when i was a little 13 year old. i was second row and it was the most amazing experience of my life, linkin park really knows how to put on a show. i have seen them 2 times since then and had literally on tuesday just bought my tickets to see them next month. really sad that that’s not gonna be happening anymore.

i felt like a family member had died. my mom had her 3 grown ass children crying on the phone to her yesterday. i honestly don’t know how life will be the same. i listened to linkin park everyday, and now i’m just gonna be sad everytime i listen to them. this is really hard.

RIP Chester Bennington, you legend. your talent and music will live on.
