It varies! Sometimes I'll put on a stream in the background, but most of the time I'll just put my entire library on shuffle, and that's an assortment of tracks from a wide variety videogames with a handful of metal and alt rock songs thrown in here and there. Occasionally, there will be something specific I want to listen to, and I'll end up finding a 10 hour loop of it on youtube or something, almost always video game music again. If I'm really trying to buckle down and get something done, writing especially, I'll put on the Subnautica soundtrack, either the complete thing, or a loop of one of the panic songs. Not entirely sure what it is about Subnautica specifically that gets me to work, but hey, if it works, no need to change it!

29. Media you love, but doesn't inspire you artistically

Thats a really difficult question because how exactly are we defining what it means to be artistically inspired? Do we mean I read/watch/play the thing and immediately go "oh I need to make art for this?" Because if that's the case, there are a LOT of things that I absolutely love that I have never been artistically inspired. On the other hand, if by artistically inspired, that means just gives you some vague idea of something you could potentially make, then almost everything I enjoy has inspired me in some way or another, either just in "oh I could make fanart for this," or in "that's a very cool idea that I'd love to explore in more detail," or even just in somehow spawning only tangentially related ideas that could potentially be worked into their own things with enough time. I'm always looking for new ideas ideas in the stuff I enjoy, because I know I enjoy it for a reason, and I'd like to figure out what it is so that I can make more stuff that I enjoy, if that makes sense.

hi anon!!!!! tbh I can't say for sure because I haven't been around from the beginning and also I'm not that deep into those spaces where these kinds of conflicts usually happen, so I'm probably gonna tag a couple of older mutuals who might be able to answer ur question more accurately, but I will say my own two cents.

from what i've gathered since ulting mx I can tell you that there is definitely some conflict and tension going on between the korean side and the intl side but in comparison to some other fandoms i've seen i'd say it's a bit milder. i feel like the two sides mostly ignore each other unless there is major thing going on. like for example i think (again, i wasn't there and im just relaying what ive heard over the years) during the whole wonho situation in 2019 was one of the times kmbb and intl clashed bc from what ive heard, the majority of the stans who wanted wonho out were korean while most intl stans were supporting wonho and wanted him to stay/get back in mx. also everytime monsta x has overseas schedules there are a group of kmbb who really whine and complain about not breathing the same air as mx for two days (at one point some members addressed it and kinda scolded them for their behaviour during their world tour).

I've been playing a game right now with Nick called Core Keeper and we played it for a good chunk of time a while back but since then there's been some updates and we've either played for longer or just gotten a bit better at progressing

Anyways, part of the game is just exploring and to help with that sometimes I'll just go around with the main intention of filling out the map. So I'm riding a boat around some water and I come across a gravestone. Which they drop when you die but I know neither of us died there and there's a spot to dig right under it

So I go and dig it up. And there's three things. A very small skull, a ring described as a "mothers ring", and a doll. There was a child caveling (one of the mobs) buried there. Which caught me entiredly off guard because there's no children you can fight

But this like will not leave my brain. I put that shit in a separate chest from everything to not get lost or mixed up in and if I could have I'd have re-buried it. Idk what is up with it, but I have been thinking about it for Days now

i sent this request to someone else about a year and a half ago and i went back to look at it but they never made it into a fic so i thought it’d ask you instead while also making some small changes to my old request

Eloise bridgerton x fem!royalty!reader where two women can get married as long as one of them is rich enough to support the both of them

reader has to soon take over the throne because she is an only child but she has to first get married so she goes to London to find a wife or a husband and Eloise accidentally makes reader laugh (like that one scene w queen charlotte) which makes Eloise catch readers eye and she tries to court Eloise but Eloise being herself decides to be stubborn and act as if she has no feelings for the reader

readers mother strictly reminds her that she has little time left to find a match which forces reader to move on and try to find someone else who’s more willing to marry

of course Eloise gets jealous which makes her realize her mistake and it end’s with Eloise confessing right before the day reader is about to propose to another girl saying something along the lines of “dont marry her”

You disliked the girls this season, they only liked you for your power and money, you wanted someone who would genuienly love you

The moment your eyes layed on Eloise Bridgerton you knew you were smitten, and the way she talks and jokes always make you laugh

You tried to court her, always sending her, her mother and her sisters flowers and gifts, dancing with her at balls, reading and talking about her favorite books, even becoming close friends with some of her brothers

But Eloise did not want you, or at least she acted like it, so your mother forced you to find someone else

The girl wasn't too bad, but she wasn't Eloise, and you knew you could never love her, even if you tried, but she was the best choice from the ton, so you asked her father for her hand, which he agreed

You didnt understand why Eloise was so upset that you were courting another, she didn't want you, after all, but she proved you wrong the day before you were going to propose

"You cannot marry her! I wouldnt allow it!" Eloise said as she grabbed your arm, her eyes filled with guilt and jealousy.

"Why not? I wanted you, Eloise, but you made it quite clear you did not want me, and I must marry if I were to ascend the throne." you said as you looked back at her, you loved her, but she did not love you, so you have to marry another.

You freed your arm from her grip and you turned away to leave, until you heard her say-

"But I want you! I was wrong, i was stuborn, I want you and I do not wish to see you marry another!" she said, a tear running down her cheek, stopping you dead in your tracks.

You turned back to her, losing your breath, she wanted you? All along she wanted you?

"Are you certian you want me?" you asked her and she nodded, looking back up at you.

"I have loved you ever since you started courting me, but I was too stuborn to admit it, i have only realised it when you started courting another, please, i cant see you marry another." her voice broke as she spoke, her eyes begging and pleading for you.

"I could never imagine choosing another over you, especially now that I know you return my undying love." you said as you bringed her closer, pulling her in a kiss which she gladly returned.

ran raises an eyebrow as you dig into the cake. you’re wearing his shirt and boxers, sitting criss cross on his bed. your fork pokes into the chocolate cake, munching as you speak to him.

“what about it?” you look up at hum. you still have that afterglow flush on your cheeks and ran thinks you’re never looked prettier. he loves you like this, in his clothes, in his bed. he loves you when you’re with him. he’s disgustingly possessive of you. he controls himself, but the need to keep your attention on him constantly fills his being.

“so what? you have a praise kink?” he laughs as you feed him a piece of the cake. his thumb brushes against your lip, cleaning the cake off of it. the rain patters outside, adding a more comfortable ambiance to the warmly lit bedroom.

“and what if i do?” you send him a mean glare, aggressively taking a chomp of your cake.

“answer the question, doll.” ran moves a little closer. he cups your cheek, moving you face to look at him. he moves his lips closer to yours. “be a good girl and answer my question, yeah?” he chuckles as he watches your face heat up and your brows furrow.

���shut up!” you hit him on the chest and he erupts unto laughter. he falls onto the pillow, a large smile on his face. he smiled so hard you could see the small dimple on his cheek. you hover on top of him and poke the small dimple. ran runs the tears from his eyes, looking at you confused.

“what’re you doing, baby” he’s still laughing, slightly self conscious with you being so close to him.

“you have a dimple.” you poke the area of his cheek where it was. ran finds himself lost in your eyes. your hand on his chest props you up and he can feel the warmth of it on his bare chest. you pointer finger subconsciously traces the area of his tattoo, making him shiver. you’re so…lovely, so homey…

“i do?” he asks, very softly. the glow in his eyes is so boyish and innocent, it makes your heart ache. sometimes you forget he never grew up with someone to guide him. besides kakucho, ran never really had someone to look up to.

“yeah,” you smile gently at him, wanting to hold this childlike expression in your arms. it was so sweet, so pure. ran takes care of you, that’s a known fact. sometimes you feel like you dont do enough to reciprocate how much he does for you, but moments like these you remember ran’s words.

“you do a lot, you know? you keep me grounded, keep my heart safe. you make the idea of love real to me. you make me believe it’s real, baby.” and those words have always stuck with you. they make your heart skip a beat, remembering the soft smile on his face, the feeling of his fingertips playing with your hair, the beating of his heart against your ear. you zone out, thinking of him. ran smiles, his hand cupping your cheek,

“am i that handsome you have to stare, doll?” that cheeky smile is back on his face. you decide to stroke his ego,

“yeah. you’re the most handsome man i’ve ever seen.” ran never forgets why he put on a ring on your finger. and moments like these solidify his love for you. no matter what happens, ran will never regret loving you.
