10. How did I get into Kpop

My sister @inlustris​ started listening to a certain boy group, and she was soooooooooooooo head over heels for them. I was shocked because this is not my sister?!? At all??? We’re aren’t this obsessed over things so seeing her like this was a shock. But she was listening to two songs on repeat: Dope and Fire by BTS. I fell in love.

Here I am at 7 in the morning listening to The World Of Mercy and giving my first unfiltered thoughts.

The first part with the drum doing a sound similar to the heart beat and Kyo low voice is just beautiful

And then it gets to the climax, Kaoru guitar is so strong and distorted it is so in contrast with Kyo calm voice.

The drum/bass middle part!!! Beautiful!

You know, I love when Kyo sings in that low voice rather than when he screams.

Here it goes the final instrumental part making my assumption that this is Macabre pt.2 even more real. It reminds me so much of the vibe in macabre where you have the high tempo and then Kyo screaming. I NEED THE FUCKING LYRICS BECAUSE I BET THEY ARE AMAZING!!!

And when you thought the song was over ..... here it goes a slow creepy piano part (this is so much the same style of The Insuleted world)

I feel like the last part, thinking about the MV, is some sort of “victory” of the main character over the bullies, you know what I mean? Victory which may also mean death and that’s why we have that part with the lirical singers.

You know what I love as well? That dir en grey songs never fit the basic structure of a song, they don’t just do verse bridge and chours, it’s so much more complicated and detailed.

I will wait for the lyrics to give better impressions, so far I love it. It gave me that feeling only Dir en Grey songs give and that I have to admit, didn’t find in any song of the last album, but I guess they gave us the best for last.

"Shin Sakura Taisen Rekidai Kayoushuu" Review (Part 2)

SEGA boldly (or is it a risky move?) introduces new Kagekidans that represent new cities with this game. Not one or two, but just THREE for now, with a fourth one debuting later in the Spring TV series. Track 4 to 6 of the album are specifically slotted for these new heroines...

Contrary to reports in various sites that had reported them as such, in my opinion, these are definitely NOT character image songs. Kouhei Tanaka-sensei has openly referenced them as "[City Name] GEKITEI". So these sit in line with Paris Kagekidan's "Mihata no Moto ni" and New York Kagekidan's "Chijou no Senshi". Whatever happens to those teams, by the way? Hmmm...

One might argue that unlike "Shin GEKITEI", only one member sings these songs. But they seem to forget one thing: Sakura Shinguuji sang solo on the first vanilla version of that song. I don't know what the future holds, but there's a possibility that in the sequel(s), we might get another take of these songs that incorporate other members of their teams. For two of them, at least. We'll just have to wait and see. For now, let's embark on a globetrotting journey!

Niji no Kanata (Other Side of the Rainbow) by. Huang Yui (Sumire Uesaka)

As soon as I heard the full version, I wasn't completely sure how I felt about it. Surprisingly, I think I enjoyed the short MV version better. When SEGA started releasing one MV after another, starting from Berlin to this one, "Shanghai GEKITEI" totally stole my attention. I proudly declared it as my favorite of the three. Perhaps because the verses felt more concise (with less instrumental parts) that made it sound more... kickass? Even though it had a somewhat odd lyric, which you will understand why. This full-length version somehow exuded a different vibe. The verses were longer, which was the bit that I'm not too fond of. On the other hand, the lyrics flowed better and made more sense. And then there's an issue with Yui's voice. She had a playful and childlike tone in "Aratanaru". Assuming that's her who got the shortest line in the interlude, of course. I prefer the more gallant take that she used here, but the inconsistency threw me off. Suffice to say, I had to hear it a few times to finally get the hang of it. But goodness gracious, the Chinese vibe, which was even stronger (that should be obvious, I know! Ahaha), never failed to win me over. Just like the verses, the instrumental portions were also longer, thus giving it a slower and elegant pace. That serenading sound of Erhu just hit my soft spot every single time, likely resonating with some part of my genes. Combined that with a blast of modern instruments, and it blew me away. I sure want to see a live orchestra perform this with a Chinese theatre dance to accompany it! Its lyrics, courtesy of Ouji Hiroi, carried a similar message of Teito, Paris, and New York themes. Protect the city, its people, and seize the dream. Why does the title use 'Rainbow', though? Especially considering 7, while being a good number for a relationship, is considered as unlucky in Mandarin (ghost month). The key is in the kanji for 'Rainbow', because it is also known as 'Hong' or 'Jiang', the name of a two-headed dragon in Chinese mythology. And what does the symbol of Shanghai Kagekidan look like? Yep, a DRAGON! So while in Japanese it literally translates as "Other Side of the Rainbow", the context also points to it being "Other Side of the Dragon". Even though it might take me a while to get used to this, and it's no longer my number one, it's an amazing piece nonetheless. I'm old, so I'm not familiar with Sumire Uesaka's pop songs. But so far, I haven't heard her sang a song like this. As Kouhei-sensei had stated, these new "GEKITEI" were composed to challenge the VAs vocal prowess. That seems to be the case here, to which Uesaka did a great job! PS: Wikipedia told me that Uesaka is a fan of Russia. I wonder how she would feel if she was cast as a leader of the Moscow Kagekidan instead?

Entaku no Kishi (Knights of the Round Table) by. Lancelot (Manami Numakura)

Just like the previous song, I had a completely opposite reaction to this as well. It honestly took a while for me to like or even understand the London Kagekidan theme when its official MV first came out. This full anthem also sounds different but in a far more positive light! How so? The second Westminster Bells kicked off, my mouth grinned so wide. Then the music slowly developed into that familiar tone, but continued to build up even more with meticulous touches and flares of fanfare, horns, trumpets, and an electrifying mix of the electric guitar. And suddenly I was transported into the medieval era, with images of brave knights flashing on my mind, en route for a battle to protect the land. Daaaang... Kouhei-sensei totally knows how to make something sound so graceful, yet gallant and rich, huh?! A sensation that young'uns nowadays would easily call 'EPIC'. My lingering issue with this song remains as-is: Manami Numakura's voice. Don't get me wrong, she is a wonderful VA with a unique vocal tone (Kohaku in "Dr. STONE", right?). I'm just not a fan of her singing voice, never was since her Idolmaster days. Even when it's my least favorite part of the song, that tomboy-ish charm blends perfectly with the song and gives it a distinct sound. The end result is something that continues to delight me and puts a smile on my face. Oh, what about the title, you ask? I think it's obvious enough. London Kagekidan is clearly based on the tales of King Arthur. Arthur is (likely, the code-name of) its blond-haired, high priest-dressed Captain, while our female lead here is the loyal Lancelot. It intrigued me when the lyrics, by Shouko Fujibayashi, mentioned 12 knights just like its lore. Does the team really have that many members? Assuming it will feature in the sequel, that would be fun to see. Then again, Idolmaster started out with 10(+1) idols, so I'm sure Lancelot would fit along just fine! Hahahaha... PS: Do you think that echoing bell at the intro and interlude sound convincing? Well, Kouhei-sensei said they actually recorded it at the actual location! Another good reason to appreciate this song.

Kurogane no Hoshi (Iron Star) by. Elise (Nana Mizuki)

*standing ovation* This. This IS a SCARY song! And by scary, I mean what a challenge it IS to pull off. Imagine trying to do at least an okay job at this in a karaoke booth? Godspeed. Nuh-uh, I don't think this song will work without Nana Mizuki's powerful vocals. Not just because I'm a fan of her, or have always wanted her to be part of this franchise. But I love Elise because she adds that much-needed heavier tone to the cast. Her brief but scene-stealing lines in "Aratanaru" proved that notion. You could easily recognize her voice amidst the chorus. If you think the short MV version (the actual first 1:20 minutes) that you see above already sounds amazing, just wait till you hear the middle part of this song. It slowed down, with various strings gently swayed you to enter another realm. Then it went FULL OPERA, with a piercing vocal work that would send nothing but genuine shivers to your soul! Goosebumps. All the time. The music had clear influences of Wagner's compositions, and those who are at least aware of classical music (or have seen "ClassicaLoid Season 2" Hahaha) would probably notice that almost immediately. Song of Valkyrie, anyone? Because of that, Kouhei-sensei personally did the arrangement for this number, seeing that it required a full-blown orchestra ensemble. Sensei showed the first part of the music sheets during one of the Teigeki Report, and I had a feeling it must've blown away everyone who saw it. I mean, Seijuurou Kamiyama's VA Youhei Azakami was literally jaw-dropped. He also revealed that Nana went above and beyond on that last high note, hitting it longer than she was supposed to, in time for the grand orchestra finish. Seriously, goosebumps. It is certainly one of the highlights of the album, and you DEFINITELY need to listen to this. Also, this is the only Kagekidan theme that I'm not sure can work as a group song. It IS still a Berlin Kagekidan song, proclaiming the might and power of the team that started it all. But can it be performed by a team of Hoshigumi? Dealing with that complicated lyrics by Shouko Fujibayashi ("...Schwarzer Stern, kurogane no hoshi..."), and fast-paced tempo will undoubtedly leave them breathless. Now I'm patiently counting the days to see Nana perform this in a live concert! Mindblown... PS: By the way, original Hanagumi's "Dream/Yume no 1 Pound" and Kanadegumi's "Enbukyoku, Kimi ni" came to mind when I tried to analyze this song. Presumably due to that middle part, which is true to Kouhei-sensei's style. You'll be hearing that magic touch of him again in some of the next tracks.

Ayo I'm back~ sooo Girls' generation, i.o.i, after school, hello venus, wjsn, clc (as you can see, I am really bored)

CLC is the only one of these groups I’ve regularly listened to. I did listen to some TTS when I found out they were going to KCON, and I like “Whatta Man” by IOI (because I’m nostalgic for the 90s original). So yeah, doing more research…

SNSD

My Bias: LOL, maybe Jessica since she was smart enough to free herself from SM. So like I said, I saw TTS at KCON, and I can’t remember which member it was, either Tiffany or Sunny, who did most of the talking, but I really liked her. She was witty and seemed pretty cool.

Fave/Dream Unit: I quite like TTS, but I’m also really drawn to Hyoyeon’s look for some reason. Maybe Hyoyeon, Yuri, and Yoona, the members I’m most drawn to in terms of looks, can form a subunit so I can see more of what they have to offer.

Fave Song: Can I pick a subunit song as my fave song? Oh well, I’m going to. I love Twinkle by TTS. It has kind of a retro style that I really love. 

Fave MV: Catch Me If You Can (KR Ver)

Fave Performance: I think I’m going to skip this question for most of these groups, especially SNSD. There’s just too much to choose from, and I’ve watched so many MVs my eyes hurt, lol.

Dream Collab: My problem with large groups like this is that I never feel like I can really understand their strengths and weaknesses. I really like subunits because then you get to see more of the individual members and their musical abilities. Since I already kinda split them up into subunits, let’s just continue with that and say Seohyun and Sooyoung should duet, and I think rather than collaborating vocally, the emphasis should be on the producer they work with. I really like Giriboy’s work. It might be cool to see what he would come up with for these two.

I.O.I

I think I.O.I was at KCON too, and were among my squeals of “Aww, they’re so cuuuuuute!” Again, I was super high on pain pills at the time. It was a rough couple of days for me, physically.

My Bias: I’m going with Nayoung on this. I saw her on this variety show. She was guest hosting a corner, and she was so awkward and serious, I just loved it. She was cracking me up. Also her nickname is apparently Corpse Bride, which like…#same.

Biaswrecker: Somi. She loves 2NE1 & Minzy almost as much as me, and also she loves BIGBANG’s TOP. We’re like meant to be best friends.

OTP (if any): None

Fave/Dream Unit: I’m just waiting for Pristin to debut. I want to see what direction Pledis is going to take them in.

Fave Song: Whatta Man. This is the only song by I.O.I that I actually own. I love it because it makes me so nostalgic for the original. Salt ‘n Pepa and En Vogue are queens. If you have never seen/heard it, it’s below. 

Fave MV: Downpour. I never watched Produce 101, so this was my first time seeing a little bit of what they went through on the show.

Dream Collab: I think it would be lovely if the girls could reunite from time to time for collabs with the groups they debut in. Produce 101 is interesting in that it smashes the traditional boundaries of company v company competition. It has the potential to create almost a sorority among this new generation of idols, which would make creative projects and collaborations a lot easier to do.

After School

What is this group? Like…they call members who leave the group “graduates?” Are you for real? This is like when I was into Japanese music, and I found out that Morning Musume “retired” members who got “too old” for the group. It’s just odd. 

I’m only kind of familiar with Orange Caramel, and I found out through research that they evidently have two other subunits: AS Red and AS Blue. Why do all their subunits have such terrible names? 

My Bias: I like Jungah, UEE, Nana, and probably E-Young since she plays hella instruments and I like musicians a lot. I can’t really pick a bias or biaswrecker at this point though.

Fave/Dream Unit: AS Red’s Night into the Sky is awesome. I wanna be in that MV; I wanna go to Burning Man with them. Let’s hang out, AS Red.

Fave Song: JFC it was so hard for me to find an actual song that I liked from this group. They all sound kind of generic to me. The first song that stuck out to me was Heaven. I just started Bang! and that’s more up my alley too also it has a marching band concept, which I’m enjoying.

Fave MV: First Love. This concept is iconic. It will go down in Kpop history. Honorable mention: Let’s Step Up. I have never seen a Kpop group use step dance as a concept before, and it’s awesome. OMG, SHH IS MY EXACT AESTHETIC!!! I just got to this video, and it’s amazing. B&W, suits, shadow dancing!!!!!! I’m in love.

Dream Collab: Let’s just resurrect After School from the graveyard Pledis has buried them in, okay? Give them some better songs to match their awesome concepts, and let them go. IDK, maybe working with a new producer would help. I think Timbaland would come up with something suitably edgy yet appropriate and mass-market consumable for them.

Hello Venus

Again, I’m confused as to why Hello Venus isn’t more popular. They have a similar look and sound to Blackpink’s releases maybe with a bit of AOA thrown in there, which were well-received, yet they barely get a fraction of the attention. IDK, I’m really into it. I like upbeat, club-type music. I like them; I’ll be keeping an eye on them in the future.

My Bias: Nevermind! I’ve been watching videos of funny moments, and my bias is def the leader, Alice. Lime! I’m obsessed, not only with her name and her awesome hair, but I really like her vocal tone. Lime, I’m sorry, you’ve been demoted to biaswrecker.

Biaswrecker: Yooyoung. LOLOL, I just checked their bios and I apparently selected the rap/dance line. I am so fucking predictable. Naturally, the other member I’m really drawn to is the leader, Alice. Lime. This is the most insane post yet. But yes, now I’m confident after watching funny moment videos!

Fave/Dream Unit: These three. Alice, Lime, and the pretty blonde one whose identity I can’t figure out for the life of me. She doesn’t look like any of the girls on the bio page I’m on, at least not to me, so idk what’s happening. But look at how they interact with each other. They’d be such a great subunit. OMG, I’m so mad, none of my videos are posting right and it just erased all my other info! I was done! I was ready to move on to the next group! Die, Tumblr, die!!!

Wow, Starship! I can tell you really care about your female trainees! Literally, there are so many girls in this group that I cannot tell one from the other. They have to pan out so far to get a shot of all the girls together that you can’t distinguish their features at all. This is like Starship’s version of After School. I don’t know what’s going on. All I know is I need subunits. 

Side note: What is up with Pledis and creating these super huge groups where it’s like impossible to actually get invested in the members? After School, Seventeen; now they wanna debut Pledis Girls. And Starship’s just like “hey, that’s a good idea, all you girl trainees, here’s some mediocre songs; go make us some money!” I’m so jaded rn.

Fair warning: I got really frustrated doing this one.

Fave Song: Out of what they’ve released, I liked Catch Me the best. This kind of fits with my usual preference.

Fave MV: It’s a tie between Secret and I Wish. I just really like that hot pink aesthetic that’s really popular rn. And Secret is very gay, which I like, but I Wish has them pretending to be unicorns, which I also really like. IDK, I’m torn.

My Bias: Yeeun. Predictable again; she’s the leader and I think a rapper (?). Sometimes it’s hard to tell who’s a rapper in the girl groups ‘cause they tend to rap in a way that’s just more monotone singing. She’s also a gamer. I’m in love.

Biaswrecker: Sorn. The sass is strong with this one. I also think Seungyeon is a bias wrecker for me, tbh. I’m really drawn to her in the MVs.

Fave MV: Hobgoblin. Destroying thingsssssss! I have such rage inside me. You have no idea how satisfying it is to watch them break shit for me. It’s therapeutic, tbh.

Fave Performance: I’m gonna link it since the video input function is being troublesome on this post. It’s their comeback stage on Show Champion. The shitty camera crew actually did a half decent job on this one; the cam is focused on members during individual parts and pans out at the right time. I’m impressed. Also, live vocals; I’m always impressed when groups don’t lip sync.

Welcome to another episode of Parker spills the tea first let’s talk about my writing blog:

There’s 103 people following it which is amazing that so many people want to read what I write and I feel terrible for taking so long on writing the requests pilling up with dust in the corner. I’ll start working on those soon-

Two: Moas might hate me for saying what I think about TXT but as a moa myself I feel like I have a right to have an opinion. Eternally? No I absolutely do not like that song I love the slow parts but the more intense parts aren’t my cup of tea- I’m starting to like it the more I listen to it but I’m still not fully convinced.

The Puma mv was kinda cringe for me, I feel like they didn’t really pull off the concept they were going for but they did great and tried their best! I know it must have been difficult for them since their past music wasn’t like Puma and that was newer to them and I know how difficult it might be so still kudos to them but I wouldn’t watch that mv again-

Three: Yeah I’m biased a LOT I mean BTS did some stuff like that as well but that’s when they were younger and the songs are good and they did a pretty good job. Puma is such a good song and I love it and the choreography. Enhypens whole thing is vampires which isn’t a lot like Puma but they totally pulled off Drunk-Dazed. Besides that EN- also did a cover of Boy In Luv which they totally pulled off along with TXT I just feel like it must have been the fact that they both had something to go off of?? Since Boy In Luv is a BTS song.

It might also be the fact that EN-s music seems to be the music I like a lot more than TXTs music but that’s definitely based a lot on genre. TXT started a lot cuter, a lot happier, a lot more energetic with Crown. With EN- their music was much more interesting, for me at least, when I first heard Given-Taken (have in mind the first songs I’ve heard for both groups were their debut song coincidentally) I was intrigued and was immediately drawn into the music and the choreography.

Both groups have different genres but both are changing it up once in a while which is nice. Now if you’re gonna complain about this and my opinions...don’t. I don’t want an explanation and I know that comparing both groups isn’t fair both are different, make different type of music, and one has about a year more of experience.

Of course I love TXT (I haven’t heard The Chaos Chapter: Freeze yet sorry I’m just not really interested in hearing new music at the moment so that’s gonna have to wait-) I love the members and their music as much as I love Enhypen and their members and music, this is all about my thoughts and opinions.

Admin Kiwi: These are in no particular order, but they are the songs I’ve been listening to the most this year!

NCT U Taeyong & Ten - Baby Don’t Stop: This song had been on repeat since it came out. I don’t actually listen to much NCT but holy crap this SONG. It’s not even my usual type of music. It’s just so addicting.

Loona - Stylish: Okay, Hi High was a great song, but THIS song. I might have listened to it like, 300 times now? It’s so good that I’ve yet to get tired of it even though I listen to it at least once a day. A true banger. Stan Loona indeed.

April - Oh! My Mistake: When this song first came out, I wasn’t sure what to think because it’s super unique, but now it’s consistently stuck in my head and I listen to it on repeat. I was so happy to see April get more attention with this comeback too!

iKON - Killing Me: I’ll be real with you, I’m not an iKON stan. Their music is super hit or miss for me. But when I first heard this song my jaw dropped because omg it’s SO GOOD. Whenever I need to feel energized I just have to listen to the drop and boom. Energy.

EXID - I Love You: By now you probably all know that EXID owns me. Lady was such a banger too, but I’ve got to say that I Love You was my favorite (because Solji is back and I cried).

Seventeen - Oh My!: Perhaps I love Seventeen. Real talk, Seventeen never disappoints. And Oh My! is another song that is consistently playing. The mini album with this song was A+ as well. They’re the only boy group that I own an album by. They’re that good.

Twice - Shot Thru The Heart: Twice had so many comebacks this year that I can’t even keep up honestly. But this song? I’m in love with it. Also Jeongyeon gets so many lines. And I love listening to her voice so uh. It’s my favorite song.

Weki Meki - Iron Boy: Honestly Metronome was another by them that I absolutely love, but I like Iron Boy a little bit better. Such a banger and makes me super happy to listen to.

Tiffany Young - Over My Skin: Wow? I love everything about this song? Tiffany is out here putting out great music with an early 2000s feel and I’m 100% here for it. Also the lyrics to this song? I’m shaking.

EXO - Tempo: I didn’t like this song at first, but now I listen to it so much I’m pretty sure even my dog knows the words. I prefer girls, but Chanyeol in this comeback had me questioning everything. That Great Gatsby reference in his lyrics made my literary self VERY happy.

KHAN - I’m Your Girl?: I listen to this song all the time. I loved The Ark, and I was so happy to see these girls come back. I love their voices together. I just. Loved everything about this song.

fromis_9 - DKDK: This is the comeback that made me truly fall in love with them. I was OBSESSED with this song when it first came out, and I still listen to it all the time. This song defines my 2018 honestly.

Dreamcatcher - Wonderland: I’ve said before how much I love this song but like. I love to just put this song on and chill. I love pretty much everything that Dreamcatcher puts out but this song? It’s The One.

Jay Park - V: I’ll admit it, I listen to a lot of Jay Park. This song is another one that’s always stuck in my head. It’s just such a fun song to listen to, I love it. A lot.

Day6 - Shoot Me: Day6 puts out so much good music, but this song has me hooked. It’s like an angry rock ballad. And I like that.

Hyukoh - Citizen Kane: Hyukoh is another band that just puts out such great music. I love everything they do and really wish that I’d gotten the chance to see them live this year.

UNI.T - I Mean: I really wish that UNI.T would have gotten more time together. Both songs they released were amazing but this song just makes me so happy to listen to and energizes me when I need it. It’s just such a fun song!

The Rose - Baby: This song introduced me to The Rose and I’m so glad I found it because it’s so good and I listen to it both when I’m feeling angsty and when I write.

Admin Lee: Not in any certain order, but these are my top picks of 2018! 

1. Pristin V - Get It: I love pristin. I kept track until this comeback was released and watched the MV again and again afterwards! The teasers and highlight medley absolutely killed me and I was completely in love with the villain concept! I hope in the future, Pristin is able to do more comebacks with this sort of concept because I think it’s really cool and refreshing!

2. Remind of You - Chungha: This is another one that I listen to when I’m falling asleep, writing, or working! It’s one of my favorites of hers!

3. Egoist - Olivia Hye (Ft. Jinsoul): Though love4eva is the song that made me discover Loona, this is definitely one of my favorite solo (?) songs before their official debut!

4. IAM - 1AM: This was one of the two concept songs that were my absolute favorite on Produce48 and all of the members on that team were some of my favorite contestants too! I love Heo Yunjin and Ahn Yujin to pieces, and I’m glad Yujin made it into IZONE!

5. Rumor - H.I.N.P: This song. I swear I listened to this and IAM on repeat for three days straight. Eunbi (and everyone else on the team ofc) killed and I find myself going back to watch their performance video from time to time because it’s THAT good.

6. Thanks - Seventeen: This is the first Seventeen song I’ve ever heard! I found out about it after Loona did a dance cover on Idol Room and really enjoyed the song, so I listened to the whole thing and liked it even more. I should probably get more into Seventeen’s music because they seem like a really cool group!

7. Forever Young - Blackpink: This is probably my favorite b-side from the mini-album, and I liked how the song kind of changed towards the end! Blackpink has been a group I’ve loved for a while and I’m really glad they’re going on a world tour this year!

8. April Fools - Jimin Park: I remember being super excited when I heard Jimin was finally getting a comeback, and I couldn’t stop listening to this song when it came out! I loved her when she was in 15&, but now that she’s out there doing solo music and having a good time I’m happy for her!

9. Good Evening - SHINee: SHINee is also another boy group that I’ve recently gotten into! I really enjoy a lot of their music, and this song just stands out to me a lot. The MV is also really cool, with nice aesthetics and cool colors!

10. Dally - Hyolyn: This is the first song I’ve heard by Hyolyn, and it suits my music taste a lot! I enjoy the bass-heavy, chill vibe the song provides. She has super nice vocals that I appreciate and I’m glad I discovered her music!

11. Oh! My Mistake - April: I recently listened to this song and I couldn’t stop lol. It’s so catchy once you hear it and at the end, you immediately want to listen to it again. April is an underrated group for sure, because if this comeback say anything about them, it’s that they’ve got major talent and potential as a successful group!

12. Jenga - Heize: Heize is an artist I also recently discovered, and I think Don’t Know You was the first song of hers I listened to. However, this one is a bop fr and I listen to it at least once a day.

13. La Vie en Rose - IZONE: Dude this debut song was probably the best I’ve heard ever (besides Wee Woo). I know I’ve said I’ve listened to a lot of these songs on repeat but this one I would play multiple times a day every day for a little more than a week. I still listen to this song all the time and its one of the most memorable debut songs I’ve heard.

14. Stylish - LOONA: This is definitely my favorite B-side from the album. The memes from it are also really good! But fr, this song is one that I listen to a lot as well, and I always seem to play it more than once whenever it comes on.

15. Bad Boy - Red Velvet: Okay, let me say that this MV is so good and I LIVE for it. Like, this comeback was insanely good and I can’t wait to see them perform this live!! Along with RBB and Peek-a-Boo, this is my favorite title song from RV!

16. RBB - Red Velvet: I literally counted down the days until this comeback. When I heard/watched the teaser for this I couldn’t wait for the song’s release. The scream kills me every time lmao I hope Irene didn’t throw out her voice too much for that

17. Heroine - Sunmi: Sunmi is literally that bitch. I loved this song so much the first time I heard it, and what’s not to love about it? It’s such a bop! She’s literally a goddess and no song she makes could ever flop.

18. What is Love? - TWICE: Twice has been a long-time favorite group of mine, and was actually the first Kpop group I’ve ever heard (got into them during TT era)! This comeback was a godsend and I loved it so much. The MV was so well put together, and all of the movie references were very well done! I couldn’t stop repeating this song for weeks after it came out.

Some exes might just come out of no where and gave that girl a rose” Kya just smiled and said “come on lets go home” and then Ty took out his 1970s black mustang “nice car” Kay said “thanks, bought it myself” “really?” “wow” Kya was amazed by Ty’s car “do you want to go straight home or?” “or where?” “I don’t know. And then her favorite song came on its La Vie en rose by the great Mr. Louis Armstrong, and when she opened her eyes it was the man who has that angelic voice from the hallway at campus, she smiled at him and when the song is over, Kay ran to Fery “babe, you have the most beautiful voice” “Kya what are you doing here?” Fery shocked “my friend, and jazz and I cant say no to jazz” “well, you’re drunk” “no im not” “yes you are” “wait let me talk to my friend first” and when she about to go back to her table, Ty was standing behind her “Ty, I’m going home now bye” “with whom?” he asked and Fery just appeared beside Kay “me” “oh Fery, I’m sorry man I didn’t know that you’re his man. I’m so sorry bro” Fery just nodded and said to Ty to go home. In the car, Fery was mad but he was also embarrassed “are you mad at me?” Kya asked “no” “do you hate me?” “no” “then why’d you always giving me the attitude” “because i..” “you what?” “I don’t want to talk with you about this when you’re drunk” “I am not drunk” Kya punched Fery’s arm and Fery was just keep on driving.
