I hope you don’t mind me sharing my staticapple headcanons in return-

My favorite headcanon is that Vox teaches Lucifer how to game and Lucifer is comedically bad at it . But if anyone in the shared lobby says anything, you bet your ass whoever did it is getting doxxed .

Also! I don’t think either of them can cook to save their lives . On one of their early dates, Lucifer invited Vox to his house for a home cooked meal, and realizes a tad too late he has no clue how to cook . Vox comes to see him fussing over burnt ramen . They end up ordering in . (They might learn to cook later though, who knows)

Lucifer makes a habit of showing up to places like hours before it’s time to start and just waits at the door except Vox has cameras everywhere so he notices this and ends up letting him in early (Lucifer gets pretty flustered at this the first time it happens). Vox does consider telling him a meeting time that’s later so he’s not comically early, but part of him enjoys getting to spend a few hours before schedule with his bf.

Vox doesn’t really know how to connect to Charlie at first- well he does, but it mostly involves several manipulative tactics that pray on her better nature instead of genuinely just letting her get to know him and vice versa . Eventually they bond by drawing together, even though Vox isn’t the best at it-

Also Lucifer has really horrible memory with conversations, but luckily Vox has surveillance everywhere! He can just record his bf’s conversations for him! Wait what do you mean that’s a breach of privacy? (They have a very long conversation about boundaries after this . )

I think Vox would hype Lucifer up so fucking much too . Not that it’s really necessary cause cmon, king of hell, but it’s like that meme . If I had a lame ass boyfriend I would hype him up so much, I’d be like here comes the specialest boy ever if you don’t clap I’ll blow up this whole building . That’s them . It’s even funnier because Vox is just as much of a cringefail dumbass as Lucifer is .

They talk about how much they hate Alastor but Lucifer notices that Vox is putting waaaaayy too much weight on it . I think they could actually help eachother a lot in this specific aspect because they’re both people who tend to define themselves off of their relationships, and obsess over one particular relationship to the point of it being unhealthy . (Like, I’m not sure if you’ve seen it, but theres a post about how Vox isn’t really happy or excited about anything until Alastor shows up? And Lucifer is the same way with Charlie calling him! I think Lucifer having a person in his life that has nothing to do with his daughter before meeting him would be pretty welcome, and Vox having someone who can validate his feelings about Alastor without enabling him is also just soooo)

That was the thing that pissed me off the most about her most recent tweet. It's so condenscending, and shows that she doesn't think she did anything wrong. And she did. She should not have been bringing up 8 month old messages for the public to giggle at, if she had a problem with what was said then she should have responded to the DM. And to turn around and be all "teehee, I spilled too much tea oops!" is so insufferable. You are a GROWN ass woman acting like a highschooler. And then to top it off, it's not as if we aren't well aware of the surrounding context of why Dream was dming her. Tommy made his fuckass video demeaning dream and making him out to be a crybaby over the worst doxing of fans and his family that he had ever seen. I'll repeat that: the worst mass doxing that DREAM WAS TAKEN had ever seen. Dream is Mr. Doxxed. That happened, Dream got upset and liked and unliked a sassy tweet, and his fans (many of whom WERE DOXED in the situation Tommy was making light of) called Tommy out. And THEN, Sarah Simons decided to step into the ring to tell everyone that it was just a joke, an also that she knows what abelism is and that Tommy's (abelist) representation of Dream was perfectly okay. Because she works with kids who have ADHD. So she knows better than us.  Like, good god. This whole thing unironically triggered me because I apparently still have a trigger from my childhood of grown adults acting like children but then leveraging their age over people younger than them to say that they are more knowledgable and mature and play the victim.

so, I've been crap at keeping up with social media lately and I miss hanging out on here and I'm planning to keep up at least this month but i'mma just give a small update here sooo

dunno if it was obvious from my last post but I moved out of parents' and going in between feeling proud of myself for not fucking up dinner to crying over how much I suck when I manage to burn pre-made soup but hey the place is still not a complete mess so that's a win

I worked two jobs last year which completely sapped 90% of my force of will to do anything

rn I'm sticking with one which is sadly not exactly earning me atm so I'm trying to get the whole thing going decently but I have to hang on a bit more and then it might hopefully meanwhile I'll settle for scraping by but I could do worse

(I can't say what it is specifically as much as I'd like because it's a thing I actually enjoy doing but it's extremely niche and if I said what it is I'd end up giving doxxing fodder and I'm still paranoid but I can share on dm) (let's just say it's the good kind of retail)

the highlight of my last month for good or bad was watching all of attack on titan in one week and let's just say it was a decision™️

let's say that I'm mentally in a very bleh place but not being with the parents all the time has tbf helped some so hopefully I'll dig myself out asap also because I'd like to y'know be active again

It hasn’t been easy trying to keep up with this blog, but by the gods we've been trying! We're hoping to bring more activity once the holidays are over, and hopefully Locke can fix whatever issue is going on.

it's so funny to spend my online time in small or inactive fandoms and look at statistics because i'm like yeah... i'm kind of a big deal... people know me... i have many leather-bound volumes... and not a single one of my fics crack 300 kudos (& very few over 100). the person i reblogged from topped out over 9,000! what's it like to write long fics for popular fandoms? is it cool?

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

i do now! and it's awesome! for a long time i was intimidated by praise and had a hard time responding, but my brain works now and i really enjoy exchanging comments that turn into long threads of headcanon back-and-forth and sometimes new friends.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

oh god PLEASE let me unburden my soul about Twilight (sga, john/elizabeth). it's so uncharacteristically hopeless for me -- far future fic, complicated family dynamics, elizabeth has dementia and john is estranged from their son... really no one is having a good time. i think it's interesting and a cool departure from my usual writing style, but it's also a big sad mess.

i still feel sooooo guilty about these two thousand words of misery that i REGULARLY think about writing a sequel where john and his son fix it with time travel and mend fences. like i lie awake at night worrying about these characters because one time in 2007 i didn't give them a happy ending and suggested john might not break the bad father generational cycle. normal fic writer behavior.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Weaving Loose Ends (sg-1, sam/jack)! i love happy and hopeful endings but i think of all of them, this one is the most resolved and least complicated.

8. Do you get hate on fic?

nope. oh!!!! there was the one time when i caused Big Drama in a corner of the Dancing With The Stars fandom by turning people's headcanons into rpf, which everyone liked until one included porn. people got so heated with each other over this one smut fic (doxing! splinter factions! a fandom schism!) but somehow no one was ever actually mean to me. i didn't even get blocked or banned for my rpf transgressions, i was just standing there at the eye of the storm. so... i guess the answer is still no??

9. Do you write smut?

yes! i should probably write more, though. it has been all slow and gauzy the past few years, somebody should really get railed pretty soon.

nope.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

i don't think so. happily toiling in obscurity.

back in the x-files days i think someone translated some of my doggett/reyes fics for a spanish archive, so those might still be out there.

no i haven't!! i am really not doing well collecting my fic writer girl scout badges here!!

john sheppard/elizabeth weir my beloved.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but probably won’t?

i have 10k of an sg-1 episode-by-episode soulmate fic that started really strong and i would love to share someday, but i lack staying power so it will surely just go to seed in my dropbox forever!!

16. What are your writing strengths?

hopefully character complexity and dialogue. dialogue is interesting in fanfic, because the dialogue on many TV shows is really different than how real humans speak (it's scripted to be clearer, more concise and direct, uninterrupted, etc), so it's a fun challenge to balance that and get something that sounds both in-character and realistic.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

long fics!

the big related weakness is that i find it incredibly difficult to keep writing on a fic after i show it to anyone (as a sneak peek, or because i want feedback / encouragement / brainstorming help). i lose steam on my own, but posting or inviting other people into the process is like pouring sugar in the gas tank. why is that!! how do i fix this!!!

and i don't know if this is a "writing weakness" or an "egregious personal character flaw" but i sure did finish an exchange fic this year literally forty seconds before reveals, so that's... pretty bad.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

SO SCARY aughhhh my fear of Being Wrong really nukes me here. it doesn't even have to be a real language. it's like the ghost of JRR Tolkein himself is standing over my shoulder telling me that if i don't backwards engineer an entire proto-latinate space language instead of just chucking words into google translate and calling it Ancient i'm committing unpardonable sins.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

star trek! first internet-published fics were x-files, but first limited-print-edition fics were xeroxed hand-bound voyager stories my sister and i would give as "gifts" to family friends (and then stand there staring at them while they read the first few pages and told us how clever and creative we were and promised to "read the rest later").

20. Favourite fic you’ve written?

new answer! i have always answered this before with ain't no sunshine (sga, john/elizabeth) or career day (sg-1, mini!otp), but i think i really stuck the landing this year on pieces (sga, john/elizabeth). which, incidentally, is the one i finished forty seconds before reveals so i'm definitely not going to learn anything from that narrow escape.

Thoughts on Sylvie's possible ending and why I don't think it makes sense narrativly to have her end up on her branch by herself.

Mainly because it would be redundant. (The fact that it would be a sad ending of sorts wouldn't stop anyone, shows love to pull that shit for 'emotional impact' or whatever).

But: We've seen her on the timeline, alone, pondering her choices with blues-y background music twice already!

The first time after she left the tva after helping to fight Dox, and the second time after she left the bar.

And both times it was about the same dilemma.

Sylvie's life on her branch is not bad per se. She lives uneventfully, which is what she craved after a life of hiding in apocalypses.

She's sustaining herself, she makes her own choices and she builts connections (to Jack, the barkeeper, the record shop owner).

From the outside that looks like a good life.

But Sylvie is unhappy.

Because someone is missing.

And that someone doesn't fit into her life at the moment and vice versa.

Sylvie's dilemma is that she still has a fundamentally different way of seeing things, then Loki.

Loki's sense of responsibility is tied to control and tactics, Sylvie's is about helping people when it's needed, but without interfering otherwise.

And she is still caught between her beliefs and missing Loki.

Sylvie is all about freedom of choice and freedom in general. (The tva took people's choice away in the first place, so she sees that part differently then Loki, who thinks they should be able to chose between their time line lives and the tva).

And she cannot arrange herself with supporting the tva as an oppressive institution just to be with Loki.

Sylvie hoped for Loki to 'chose' her over the system, after he suggested building a life with her in the void ('why don't we figure it out together?') and he didn't. Not at that time.

She is hurt by that decision and emotionally closes herself off, but let's herself be dragged back when people are in danger.

And she challenges Loki's choice, but he doesn't react the way she wants.

'Do you care about anything but the tva?'

Loki has the same conflict. He wants to stay with the people he already formed connections with and take responsibility for potential threats (that's not erased by him admitting that he does not want to be alone).

But he also wants Sylvie there.

He seeks her out, he asks her to stay, he asks her to help.

And in the pie conversation scene he shows his frustration over her decision.

The scene does not lead to a full resolution. So when Sylvie confronts him at the bar, he does not include her in his confession of not wanting to be alone, because he most likely considers it pointless. That's when Sylvie gets up and leaves, because she is too hurt to deal with it.

Sylvie and Loki are constantly circling each other, without truely approaching the other one.

If the show does not resolve that issue and just puts Sylvie on the time line again, with a bitter sweet ending where she's 'free but at what cost?' it would be redundant and undatisfying.

We saw that already and it sucks for her.

So she needs something else.

A/N I've had this story in the drafts for over a month. it didn't turn out how i wanted it to but i've been so busy and unmotivated to write. I don't know how sapnap feels about his real name being used so he's just referred to as sapnap.

“God Sapnap, you’re such an idiot,” you spoke with fond annoyance. You were best friends with Sapnap since you guys were kids, until he moved to Florida with a friend of his. He’s been begging you for months to move to Florida so you can be closer to him. 

Little did he know that you have already packed your place up and have a one-way plane ticket with tomorrow’s date on it. You even found a cheap apartment really close to where he was. You were planning to surprise him.

“But, it would be so much fun here. I know you hate working at that bar downtown so your job isn’t holding you back,” he rationalized. “Plus I think you and Dream would get along perfectly.”

“I don’t know about that Sapnap. He’s too cocky and you know I like to put cocky people down a peg,” you told him. You’ve only spoken to him maybe once or twice and only in groups. You weren’t a streamer by any means but every once in a blue moon you were in Sapnap’s stream. You’re kind of friends with his friends. You don’t really privately talk to any of them, maybe Karl and Quackity, but not always.

“I do hate that bar job, which is why I quit a few days ago,” you explained. You felt like giving him something whether or not he picked up on it or not. Lately when he asks you to come to Florida, you don’t outright say no. You just change the subject or something to divert his attention.

“You quit and you didn’t tell me right away? I thought we were closer than that. How could you break my heart like this? Don’t make me call your mom, I do have her number,” he winked at you. You simply rolled your eyes at his dramatics. 

“Whatever, I need to get to bed Sapnap so goodnight,” you had to get up early for your flight tomorrow.

“Fine, sweet dreams bitch,” he replied with a dashing smile. What are you going to do with this idiot?

Next day at the airport

The flight wasn’t too bad. No crying babies and the seat next to you was empty. When you finally pulled your suitcase off the luggage rack you made your way outside the airport. You realized that you would need an Uber to get to Sapnap’s place so you quickly called one.

You gave your driver Sapnap’s address and you were on your way  to his place. You were very anxious but you couldn’t decipher if it was good or bad nerves. On one hand you were very excited to see Sapnap and to meet his roommate. On the other hand, what if Sapnap was only joking? Or his roommate ended up not liking you. That would make hanging out a little awkward.

When you made it to Sapnap’s house, you quickly shook out any bad thoughts. You thought this would be a fun surprise for him, there was no way it could go bad. You knocked on the door and heard some shuffling inside. When a tall blond guy opened the door, your heart stopped. Not only were you hoping that Sapnap was going to be the one to open the door, but this guy (who you presumed to be Dream/Clay himself) was a very attractive counterpart to the male species.

After a long pause, Clay smiled at you and spoke, “Can I help you?”

“Oh. Um. . . Is Sapnap here?” you asked him. You hoped that he would recognise you and didn’t think you were some weird fan that found out where they lived.

“He’s here. What’s your name?”

“I’m y/n. I’m Sapnap’s friend from Texas. I wanted to surprise him,” you smiled at him. When he finally recognized you, you saw him let out a soft sigh of relief.

“Oh, I thought we got doxxed for a second there,” he chuckled out. “I’m Clay by the way, I think we’ve only talked a few times. Come on in.”

“Yeah I’m not a content creator so I’m not very involved with any of the stuff that you guys do. I will watch videos or catch a stream occasionally though,” you replied. As he brought you into his house, you couldn’t help but stare at him. You also figured out that he seemed a lot more chill than his online persona, not as cocky.

“Are you staying here? You’re welcome to a guest bedroom,” he asked kind of hopefully.

“Actually I live here now. I found an apartment close to here and moved so I could be closer to him. He’s been begging me for ages to move, so I finally did,” you explained. It felt like you had all of his attention but that’s not likely, he just met you and he was just being kind to his roommate’s best friend.

“Well then, I can’t wait to see more of a pretty girl like you,” he replied with a smirk. “I’ll go get Sapnap for you.”

Before you could reply, he was gone. It seems the cockiness isn’t all for show. You pulled yourself together when you heard loud footsteps running your way.

“Y/N! What are you doing here?” he rushed out as he gave you a big hug.

“I came to surprise you. Do you wanna see the apartment I got? I haven’t gone there yet,” You asked. This was going to be so much fun.

It’s been a few months since you came here. Since then, the moving company had brought all your stuff and Sapnap and Clay graciously helped you move in and get settled. You hung out with Sapnap almost everyday, most of the time at his place. This meant you saw Clay all the time which could be good or bad depending on the day.

You found out that Clay was sweet and very funny. He was also annoyingly charming, but we won’t discuss that. He took whatever chance he could to flirt with you or to make you all embarrassed.

You also found out that Sapnap not only would approve of this relationship, that will never actually happen, but he actually encourages it. He never shuts up about how he thinks you guys are perfect for each other. He likes the fact that you always have a comeback for Dream and apparently Dream likes that too because teasing and such only got worse.

Today you were in Clay's room while both him and Sapnap streamed. You didn’t mind being in their streams but you didn’t want your face to be out there so you mostly hung out with Dream during these streams. Their fans seem to like the banter that you brought to the group.

“Obviously, chat likes me better. Look at all those hearts they are spamming just for me,” you sassily exclaimed at Dream. 

“Oh, come on now. We are literally on my twitch. They are here for me,” he pointed at himself with a wink at you. 

“I’m on y/n’s side. They are definitely here for her. Our viewers spike when she’s here,” Sapnap laughed out.

You smiled triumphantly at Dream, he simply rolled his eyes and went back to playing with Sapnap, “Whatever, at least I actually know how to play minecraft unlike yourself.”

“Oh, is that the best insult you got? That’s kinda sad Dreamy-poo,” you quickly replied. While it is true that you’ve never played minecraft before, you didn’t really care since video games aren’t your thing.

“OOH, that would be a fun stream. We get y/n to beat the game or something. What do you think chat?” Sapnap asked. You thought it could be fun. You looked over at Dream and he seemed excited about that idea.

“That could be fun, wanna try that right now?” Dream excitedly looked over at you. Well when he looks at you like that, how could you say no?

“Sure, why not?” you replied. You and Dream switched chairs and he started a new world for you. He named it “y/n first time” and giggled at the double meaning of that. Sapnap also joined the world in Creative mode so he could help if you needed.

‘“Okay, put your hands here on the keyboard. W to move forward, A and D to move left or right, and S to move backwards,” he grabbed your hands and explained to you. The contact was very unexpected and had you blushing at Dream. When he turned to you, he didn’t mention your flustered state but he did smile and wink at you. He kept explaining to you the controls, “The space is to jump and use shift to crouch, which means you won’t fall off the edge of blocks.”

The rest of the stream was spent with you trying to beat the game with Sapnap and Dream helping you out. Dream was very flirty and today happened to be one of the days where you didn’t find it annoying. You just hoped chat wouldn’t notice or get weird with it. Last thing you needed was fanfiction. -_-

“Woo-hooo! That’s how it’s done guys,” you screamed, as the achievement came on the screen. Without thinking, you turned and gave Dream a hug. While you were hugging, you realized that you didn’t want him to let go of you. It also seemed he felt the same because he wouldn’t let go either.

The moment was ruined when you heard Sapnap complimenting you, “Good job, y/n! You finished the game pretty quickly. What did you think?”

You quickly let go of Dream and pretended as if nothing happened, “That was really fun, but I couldn’t have done it without you guys helping me out.”

Dream seemed lost in thought when you looked at him. When he finally snapped out of it, he and Sapnap did their outro and ended the stream. Sapnap came into the room to give you a high five, “That was a lot of fun. Our fans really seem to like you.”

“Thank you. It was fun, but I definitely couldn’t do this as often as you guys do,” you replied.

“You could always do it like Dream. He rarely ever streams,” Sapnap said sassily. This seemed to bring Clay back to reality because he gave a soft, but not too soft, punch to Sapnap’s arm making Sapnap rub it and you to softly laugh.

As Sapnap was leaving Clay’s room, he asked, “Are you guys hungry? I was thinking of picking up some food.”

“That sounds great Sapnap. I’m good with anything,” you replied. Clay hummed in agreement. Once Sapnap had left to get the food, you were left alone with Clay.

“Wanna watch youtube or something while we wait for Sapnap?” you asked him. After thinking about it, you decided that you wanted to make some kind of move today. You hoped that he wasn’t flirting with you just for the fun of it and actually reciprocate your feelings.

“Sounds good,” he said. He went to sit on the living room couch and pick something to watch while you went to get a snack.

“I didn’t want to eat too much before Sapnap comes back with food so I just grabbed a small pringles can,” you told him. You went to sit on the couch and sat just a little bit too close to him.

You could see Clay staring at you from the corner of your eye but you made no response. He put his arm on the back of the couch behind you. He had on some show he had been watching all week. You didn’t really care though because your focus was all on him.

Once Clay had all of his focus on what you guys were watching, you started to inch closer to him, basically cuddling into his shoulder. He looked at you questioningly but allowed you to snuggle closer to him causing you to blush.

Eventually Clay’s arm made its way around your shoulders. You mindlessly played with the hand that was on your shoulder and you felt it twitch.

Finally you just bit the bullet and asked Clay straightforwardly, “Why do you tease me all the time?”

He took a second to think of his answer, seemingly deciding to go the joking or the serious route.

“You just look so pretty when you're flustered,” he answered, honestly. This made you heat up all over. 

“I’m . . .pretty?” you asked, unsure where you want this conversation to go. Clay seemed to make this decision for you.

He fully turned towards you before replying, “The prettiest. I knew it as soon as I answered the door for you.”

“So you annoy me because you like me?” you shyly asked.

“Well when you put it like that, you make me sound like a middle schooler. But to answer your question, yeah. I enjoy making you flustered and I especially love it when you snap back at me. I can be a little shit sometimes but you take it in stride,” he smiled at you.

You felt elated by this confession and got as close to him as you could, your face inches from his.

“So would it be okay if I steal a kiss from you?” you whispered.

“You could steal a million of them if you wanted to,” he replied. With that, you leaned forward and kissed him.

This kiss wasn’t very heated. It was a slow but loving kiss, like all the tension was leaving both of your bodies. You didn’t feel fireworks, you felt the butterflies in your stomach settle. 

Once the kiss was over, you both simply stared at each other. Both of you happy over this new calmness of your relationship.

The moment was ruined by a flash of a camera shutter. Both you and Clay turned around to see Sapnap in the doorway, phone in one hand and food in the other.

“I can’t wait to tell George about this. He owes me 50 bucks,” he excitedly informed you guys.

“Did you guys bet on us?” you asked Sapnap, embarrassingly.

“Of course! I bet you guys were head of heels for each other but George bet that you guys hated each other's guts. I turned out right,” he mentioned proudly.

Clay thought it was funny while you just glared at Sapnap. Sapnap simply walked towards the kitchen before saying, “Just make sure to keep the noise down, lovebirds.”

Clay wheezed even harder as you just blushed and hid your face in embarrassment.

“What do you say we go do what he says?” Clay seductively asked you. You simply blushed harder and cuddled closer to him, not able to form a proper response.

State of the Channel Address:

I've missed this entire week so far in part because I've had so much accumulated crap to do from months of avoidance behavior, and I can't bring myself to get on late just to do a half assed show for a couple hours before disconnecting with all the grace of a fart.

I know that the opposite end of "waiting until you can do everything perfectly" is potentially, never streaming again, but honestly? Is it really that much better having a VOD archive full of embarassment?

Look, I haven't even found the time to edit out potential dox from an old vod, which is why there have been no new updates on youtube aside from the occasional short in over a month. Don't even get me started on the mental emotional landscape.

Turning to social media and filling your profile with retweets and retoots and getting involved in drama that's almost certainly beyond you is a coping mechanism. Hell it's probably how some former vtubers degrade into vtweeters over time, getting stuck in this hell of forever shoving things under the bed.

So what's to be done with this?

Well I'd jokingly say "time to touch grass" here but I never stopped my diet and exercise regimen. Cosplaying May was a proof of concept that it was possible to get fit from sheer desire to become a Femboy alone, and that journey hasn't ended.

I've also swallowed my pride and hooked up for some new vtuber collabs, soon(tm). Also I have no idea why I didn't stream the previous ones. These WILL be streamed.

And though I've teased it before, I intend to continue the spoopy ARG stuff sometime in November, perhaps with social media blitzing the week of my anniversary (October 31st to November 5th). I don't know what form it will take and frankly there remains the possibility that all of my current active socmed accounts (the ones you're reading this from) somehow die before that can happen, from Elongated Muskrat making yet another dumbass move, Fediverse eating itself into an ouroboros, or Tumblr conducting another Purge, but given how the last one was *also* a caffeinated dream splurge of using up free time at work and fueling my in-character tweets with out of character madness?

I'm sure it will be A-okay!

Even if that all fails somehow, the crowning event of all of that socmed hoopla is meant to be a Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition live play that i'm hoping to run in December, the first I will have run in years. I have three months to prepare the campaign and in the weeks leading up to it i'm hoping to slowwwwwwlly send out invites to people who might be interested in joining. It is sure to be a mess, insofar as trying to run online several session long TTRPG's while balancing meatworld and vtuber world responsibilities, but sometimes you have to kick bad expectations to the curb and just try and do shit anyway. All I have to spend is time and while everything from employment to online presence is uncertain, at the end of the day...

...so what?

Yeah I could trash all these plans and simplify things and be as mundane as possible trying to force things to "work" as they did for the past two years. Because there might not be a December because any number of things could happen before then.

But so fucking what? Tomorrow I could die, the next week a tragedy or three happens and then all of this will be the last thing on my mind. I could also try to limp along and get back to "normal" because its safe and I totally loved looking back at a whole bunch of mediocre and embarassing archives where a clearly disinterested and half asleep femboy tells themself that they're entertaining.

Stop it. This isn't my primary job (thank god) and nobody is forcing me to keep up this song and dance to a made up metronome and an imaginary conductor, so why do I feel the need to force half baked, half assed content online only to excortiate myself afterward? Does that make any fucking sense? No? Why would it?

Why do something you don't love? Why do something that only makes you hate yourself if you're not even being PAID for it?

You look at what you've "accomplished" in the meanwhile, frittering away time everywhere but your passions while lamenting not finding time for your passions and you don't even recognize yourself in the mirror anymore.

...So yeah i'll also be working on an in-character youtube project with another vtuber friend! The details of which need to be-

-hashed out but it'll be an excitingly different experience all around! It's been forever since i've done any recorded acting, voice over or otherwise, and i'm not entirely sure what to expect. You can bet that there will be #lulzlore involved and yes, it'll be canon. That's going to be sometime in November once again, schedule and a messy timeline notwithstanding.

On the short term it'd be nice if I could stream regularly again. As in, you can reliably tune in at 2100 CST and expect to at least see my loading screen running instead of randomly getting a twitch email notif at like 2236 which lasts for like an hour because Lulz literally (note: not lirerally) dies on stream.

You know what would also be nice? How about not having to pack up and switch fucking social media platforms every few months? Gee fucking willickers wouldn't that just be BEAUTIFUL.

hi! hello! i’ve just read fall apart & redefine and my goddd. i loved it so much! it’s so beautifully written and introspective. i never wanted it to end. what made it hit was the fact that it’s canon compliant...

i’ll never explicitly know what joonie, or any of the other boys have to go through. though, the feelings of fear, grief, and hope are universal. you’ve conveyed that so well here. i just want to hug the boys and tell them that it’s okay. but in many ways aren’t we, as fans, an enabler of that pain? it’s complex. sorry, i’m rambling now. when i find gems like these it reminds me why i love to read.

when it comes to writing i think this is a prime example of quality over quantity. no matter how long it took you to write this, the product is immaculate and speaks volume.

fully agree with your second paragraph. one of the things that struck me most about the festa dinner was namjoon saying some sort of variation of "i'm almost 30 and i have no idea who i am." like, how do you even start figuring out who you are as a person outside of your job and your celebrity at that point? where do you start? their entire lives, as bts, have been so controlled.

it's fun to have the little delulu moments every now and then, but i usually steer clear of canon compliant because, if i'm being realistic, almost every idol is probably not emotionally-equipped to be a great partner. they didn't have the ability to date around, fuck up, learn, fuck up some more, etc., that most people get. it doesn't make them any less worthy of having that experience, but i imagine it's a lot of self-sabotage because they're so controlled and can't have normal experiences. so... what do you do with that, ya know?

i thought about this a lot when hobi had his release party/joon went to switzerland/tae went to paris. like i would imagine some/most of them do have partners and they just... can't attend or do any of these things with them. at least in an "official partner" capacity but most likely not at all. a member of bts looks at you for 0.5 seconds too long and the entire internet has you doxxed in under a minute. so, what, i just gotta sit around in my bougie penthouse and watch it on instagram? that's gotta be brutal. it sounds awful for both sides.

and the enabling. god. it's really a double-edged sword, because you love these groups and they bring you so much happiness and joy, but rationality often gets dogpiled. not to mention that fans dictate their lives just as much, i.e. that tattoo artist jk was seeing, when bobby from ikon had to "apologize" for having a girlfriend and having a baby even though both are perfectly normal things, etc. even if you, specifically, are not engaging or going on a twt rampage about them, your fandom is sort of just... lumped in with it. and that sucks!

i'm 30 years old. i've dated and gotten married and am well beyond the age where i have any delusions about men PERIOD but especially celebrity/idol men. i want them to just be happy and live normal lives! i want them to have the experiences i've had! i don't care if they're dating or getting fucked and sucked on the regular, but the catch-22 of k-pop is that they're selling you the delusion and it's sometimes hard to fault people, especially those who are younger and therefore more susceptible to it, for falling for it.
