The multiple miki thing might be because Miki could've been based on Charizard M and that thing is known for cloning itself.

Tbh i cant fault shadowmalerenamon for completely changing doors open when rewriting it. Having missingno be the main antagonist was miles better than how Steve was in the original.

( thank fucking god to be honest. it needs No change. although at the same time its kind of funny it never got one bc its the most popular one and going more into him as a Person if smr didnt fuck it up would be nice ... but im too attached to my own interp based off of his canon implications to care about what smr kind of has to give. and he already did that in og strangled red, to a degree, although it focuses on the tragedy there is character stuff to be extrapolated from the implications of the story if youre very deeply ill. like me. )

- is a lot less character-focused, at least on steven specifically, and is focused on explaining or rewriting shit that never needed to be explained or rewritten. it is a revisit and reinterpretation of the story, that to me, is just purely kind of . Not good or fun to read. and the new shit it introduces is fucking stupid imo. steven being banished by the town instead of... fucking. killing himself ( especially specifically by cop. that's lame and way more boring + FUCK THE POLICE !!! + It feels out of character for steven he would just do it himself like actually. Also yk. hanging yourself is narratively thematic and ironic. ) or whatever goes so much harder .

guy who loves his town and home region and wanting to be a role model and wanting to be cool so badly being driven mad and then the entirety of kanto, his homeland, forsaking him and walling him off goes crazy . Also because it implies they're scared of him to some degree which also makes me go crazy as an implication.

i Will not step down from 'the rewrites arent good' . Doors open is mostly bad because stevens characterization is garbage. even though its random and from left field ( why the fuck is he in sprout tower ) it couldve been handled well if it was written better characterization-wise.

also i supposed the 'M charizard makes sense. not. not really i don't actually think smr thought that through. if he did, which he couldve because she is named #'M# in Strangled Red, cool, but i still think it's just to make the "miki" name thing with 4 party members he has. which is cool admittedly. it's just that i hope it is never explained why he has 4. and it never has since, doors open rewrite didnt do anything with that thank god.

and bc he wouldnt have any other mon other than miki post-incident and afaik that thing only replaces existing partymembers, and steven canonically releases all his team in SR + pokemon avoid him. but yea. Doors open i treat as a 'spinoff' in a sense bc nothing from it really makes sense when properly thought through, and its basically there to make the lost silver crossover i feel. also, yk, he literally says "Never." in strangled red when you press switch on 'M / missingno/revived/whatever you want to call miki post revival. its kind of out of character for canon-compliant steven to have anything other than miki post-incident for these 3 reasons - i only made a team for him post incident bc im autistic about pokemon and pokemon teams so that was for fun.

basically it makes more plotholes and questions than not the more strangled reds plot stuff tries to be explained or added upon esp in the remakes which i think are not fun reads if you like steven as a character anyways. and also bc strangled and doors open in the ogs are easter eggs. trying to explain what is supposed to be an in universe easter egg in pokemon would obviously be kind of a lesson in futility. not. not exactly but at least in the way smr does it.

strangled makes sense, you just go to his fucking house and hes there. yea. doors open is like. Yea hes in johto now. dont ask. but its also easily explainable as... He just fucked off to johto. For what reason? idk. hates kanto bc theyve forsaken him and banished him to the Woods, just wanted fresh air i guess, or just for fun. these are all more plausible reasons.

iirc the rewrite doesnt even say why hes there and if it does the reason is convoluted and not needed. i think its just 'hes a ghost hallucination... thing??? following the mc which is the most boring route to go for with steven and the most uninspired thing ever, and missingno was not the antagonist just a plot device in the og story Why are we focusing on it so much.' and its still a plot device in the rewrites! it isnt explained ( good the explanation would be kind of awful ) and i cant see any good way to explain missingno other than the way i do as a fun idea. which is biased but the 'failed clone of mew number 3' is a fun idea.

this is an insane ramble from a deranged person. if you can't tell i fucking love steven as a character and smr does him dirty except in strangled red, really. strangled... is fine but bc he barely talks in that one and when he does its like. yea. that checks out.

1. toxic WASTE eo like love confessions buried in the nastiest arguments ever. im sorry i just love mess. similarly, someone saying i love you and being hit with like "no you dont. die" or "i wish i didnt" also eo as the soulmates who should never have met ive blown apart my life for you and eo from every outside view being the two most infuriating people ever (as explained by kathy stabler to barba, and amanda to liv and to elliot). eo who became a swirling black hole that took everyone with them. i think its easier for me to write eo from like other character povs bc i didnt originally watch the eo seasons so theres always an element of like. ghostly entity elliot stabler coloring my perception of him And i find their dynamic really hard to put into words in like. an interesting way. theyre just insane idk

2. the olivia bensonism of right where you left me and her constant fear of being left behind + her pushing people away + single most important person in my life and you just disappeared i have a few different "i cant do this" lines written and this last ep has obviously only made me worse

i also have elliot getting offered a transfer back to rome and in a moment of pure insanity telling liv he'll do whatever she asks him to. and because shes Her she tells him to leave and hes like okay ? and shes like i am obviously lying what is wrong with you.

a lot of sad liv internal monologues about how she misses elliot every moment that shes with him

3. the girls are fightiiing my list of conversations amanda and liv have never had and my ongoing list of out of pocket things liv has said or done to amanda <3 mess ! and a random fight about kim that leads to kissing lol

also a list of random thoughts about liv and amanda when i was first figuring out their dynamic like "real canon compliant rollivia means fighting and miscommunication"

4. amanda taking eo matters into her own hands. she talks to stabler. a lot. and she yells at liv for not making a move after she finds out about the intervention. more on this as it develops.

5. girl. grief and parental trauma ! the mother wound chile ! olivia bensons slight obsessive jealous homoerotic hatred of other women in non professional settings ! this became a note about how she separates everyone she meets into a kathy stabler or a serena benson and uses that to inform her feelings towards them

which part of writing do you struggle with most?

hmmm a lot of times i struggle with opening/closing lines? like i have the idea of how i want the story to start/begin but writing that grabber line is always so hard!!! and for what!!! like especially the opener, you want to reel your readers in, so for me i put a lot of pressure on myself to come up with something really good. as for the closer, theres less pressure? because the reader has already made it to the end, i don't need to worry about hooking them, but you do still want your ending line to leave the reader wanting more, while also feeling as though the story has been concluded in a successful way. but every time i struggle with both of them 😩😩 but everything in-between usually comes pretty easily as long as im having a good writing brain day

do you listen to music while you write? if so, share a song that's been inspiring you lately.

sometimes i do, sometimes i dont? it depends on how my brain is functioning on that particular day. like today im writing and am listening to music just fine, but some days my brain cannot handle coming up with words while also hearing different words in my ears.

as for songs that are inspiring me right now 👀 love in the dark by adele is the song that im using a lyric from as the title for the fic im working on 👀👀👀 the whole song itself is also sort of inspo for the fic but it's mainly just the one lyric

First i would like to talk about Deadtail (It/They)

^^^ i drew these. It is original design compliant completely (for the first one...), i just didnt want to repost the original artist's work lol. Loosely basedaround how HLL works—also, did you know that unlike other rot cysts, HLL can see? Isn't that cool! It implies the rot hijacks the entire body and can access things such as the ability to see. Does this mean it could feel pain too? Is that why the body of Hunter never decomposes per se?

But back to Deadtail before i get too invested in rot lore, i have no idea where it came from i'll be honest. Somewhere! In one canon its a fuckup ProtoSpearmaster from SRS but thats just for the continuity in someone's fic, so not really what i'd say is Character Canon. It is a purposed organism in canon at the least though! Which will be apparent

It cannot feel pain, which is why it is fine with the constant raw wound that is its tail, and the spears embedded in it. "How does it not get infected" i dont know i'll be honest! Purposed Organism get out of jail free card. If i wanted to be realistic the tail would have long ago rotted off or been cut off for infection or necrosis though

Deadtail's got max rep with lizards and scavengers! Even after the rottening! It is friend :] the scourge of chimney canopy when its red lizard and scavenger pack pulls up. Friends of friends mod mechanic

"Ok what's up with that rot form" unfortunate encounter with resident rot factory 5p. Real unfortunate encounter. Im still not sure of the specifics but i think "ripped itself free of a rot cluster and a little bit got stuck under the skin" is the best ive got for now. It did not notice this until it was WAY too late.

The rot primarily consumes the tail when deadtail perishes from it. Tail's now the main "body", so the body body is probably quite banged up in actuality. Also, deadtail is still in control of this nightmare show. Which is why it can throw spears still—i had briefly wondered where in the rot consumption chain it laid, and what hp it would have as an in game character at some point?

Found the messages for ye :) bonus not shown from these messages is "oh yeah im making it immune to the 33.33× damage multiplier the explosive spears cause to rot". Like hunter

^ those messages also mean that, if pressed, it could probably eat BLLs? Because afaik the rot food chain goes TLL -> DLL -> HLL -> BLL. This is according to the miraheze wiki, i have never spawned a HLL and BLL in the same area to find out who eats who i will admit

okok spoilers for the aurora cycle series and a causal disclaimer that i haven't finished book 3 (and its been at least a couple months since i've read the first two books so if im remembering stuff incorrectly in spots then uhhh WHOOPS)

there are about 3 romance plots in the books between the main charcacters (theres 7 mcs.. at least at the start LMAO) and of the three romance plots only ONE is decent enough where it doesnt ruin anything- probably because its not rlly put into action outside of obnoxious flirting (but everyone in the crew obnoxiously flirts with each other so its fine) until the end of the 2nd book/3rd book so its whatevs

(I'm adding a cut here bc it gets pretty long and i don't wanna overtake the dash but give this a read? maybe?)

THE OTHER TWO ROMANCE PLOTS THOUGH

they very early on introduce romantic tension between cat and tyler in the most unnecessary way possible? their reasoning for why they dont get together is. very odd to the least? (it's like 'im leader of the squad and ur under my leadership so we CANT be together' maybe its about the power imbalance? but also they're literally childhood friends) but before anything happens cat fuxking dies so its just this weird plothole that occasion gets dragged back up as a sort of angst point for tyler? but theres no POINT to their whole 'i like u but we cant be together but also i dont like cuz ur my bff' thing bc u could do the EXACT SAME THING with no romance plot whatsoever!! its so annoying like the easiest fix is to just. get rid of the romance plot! BOOM

And then. kal and aurora. kal and FUCKING AURORA

i have so much pent up rage abt their relationship bc its so FAKE and just lazy fucking writing all around. HONESTLY their relationship is the reason why i started this rant in the first place!

whats even worse is that they had potential to have an interesting dynamic that lead to them being a couple but NOOOOO kal has the 'magical soulmate bond uwu 🥺🥺' with aurora for whatever reason and pushes her away bc of it bc he doesnt wanna make he uncomfortable (which was fine and i didnt mind) and then he finally tells her and OH WOW AURORA SUDDENLY HAS FEELING FOR HIM EVEN THOUGH IT WAS NEVER BROUGHT UP OR EVEN REALLY IMPLIED B4 THE GOT TOGETHER (<- my issue with their relationship) like yes aurora had shown (non-romantic) interest in kal BECAUSE he pushed her away and she didn't know why but it was never implied that she actually like. LIKED him outside of the occasional pointing out that he was attractive (which again is a commonplace for ALL the characters to do so it didn't really hold much weight)

so, because the writers so desperately need it i have! 3 solutions to this trash of a romance plot!

also before i start just as an overall statement: I WANT THEM TO INTRODUCE THE PULL/SOULMATE BOND THING EARLIER!!!!!!

ANYWAYS

a) aka the easy way out: get rid of the damn 'pull' or soulmate bond or whatever. if ur gonna get them together at least do it naturally if ur gonna be lazy about it

b) the gay canon divergent option: keep the pull but have him become attracted to TYLER instead- i only say this because they genuinely do have the chemistry and not just bc i want it to be gay LMAO. it can be enemies to lovers where while the kiss they have (yes they kiss. it's not romantic or anything and done more-so to cover up what they're ACTUALLY doing but yeah.) is still the turning point in their friendship it also introduces the idea of kal having feelings for tyler via the pull and tyler having feelings for kal just in general.

and c) the canon compliant option: again, keep the pull and keep everything the same BUT when kal tells auri about the pull and tells her that she doesn't have to reciprocate she agrees saying that SHE DOES NOT HOLD ROMANTIC FEELINGS FOR HIM but! that she would be willing to like. help him out. it can then either become a qpr instead OR later on down the line they could get together in a /r relationship BUT it'd have to be like. at the end of book 2 or maybe even of book 3

but like yeah. romance in the aurora cycle could've deffo been written better thats for sure

Im so sorry for the delayed response, i really amyoure probably not even gonna see this, and im sorry for that tooI was busy and then i had exams and now i have MOre eXamS yeah life is a wonder

BUT i am delighted that you asked be about ‘becomes the color’ cause its one of the stories closest to my heart, and i love talking about it lol

SO - What it is is, basically, Laurel’s story from Arrow (though i tag sometimes photos with it, or quotes that inspire and remind me of laurel in that particular story, so that when i go back i can find the inspirational material more easily), that tries to be as cannon compliant as i can possibly make it, when in comes to the plot points, while i try to fill the gaps between those lot points with Laurels emotions and feelings and a king of ‘emotionaly rationale’ behind he ractions.

It Always bothered me that people said they didnt see Laurels actions as having a logic behind them (which is true, mind you. they didnt - as most characters on Arrow are written to forget about logic when plot needs to take over) , but still i wanted to show that this is not true especially for Laurel above all others. Like, from where i stood all her actions made sense once one afforded her basic humanity and emotional complexity; an interior life that was as ritch and comtradictory as the other characters - one that we Always seem to take for granted in Oliver, for instance. so that’s what 'becomes the color' tries to be. Laurel’s 'five years in hell’ Except Laurel spends them in Starling, dealing with her grief, or rather supressing it. With her mother leaving, her father dissapearing into a bottle and being emotionally abusive and dependant on her. An exploration of her relationship with Tommy, with herself, with her identity and especially with Sara. a really dig-in into what omplex grief is, what it does to a person.

Then i meant to make Laurel pick herself up and like, get a little better until BOOM,, oliver is found in season1. And that part of the story was meant to explore Laurel’s unresolved feelings towards him (which would be, in terms of emotions, like opening up a can of Worms, but like, magnified by a million). Feelings towards him but more importantly towards herself - since part of her identity is tied to him.

Then came season 2 and the exploration of Laurel imploding. The REAL conseguences of suffocating grief, what it does to her, the tenfold effect of her past trauma, triggered by Tommy’s Death, (and also Sara coming back because the ugliest parts of Laurel's identity - and its crisis - are, imo tied to Sara, not Oliver. So ofc that confrontation would be more painful for her.) and this time becoming an avalance that has no chance of being stopped. This would have been her lowes point, her touching bottom again and getting comfortable there for a while. 

And then of course, the rise.

 I was going to deviate from canon on season 3. At the end of the second season Laurel would go to that other city, when the particle acelerator or whatever its called, explodes, and she gets the Canary Cry. And then she trains in Nanda Parbat, with Nyssa. And this would have been her rebirth - the healing, the lovely part of the story where she actually not only has the strength to forgive herself and love herself but actually love another person. And the story ended there.

sigh well I was really big into Homestuck as a high schooler back when it was big (I know I know, sue me the comic was good) and ran a blog. I got an ask that asked for what I felt was the sexualities for some of the human characters. I stated that, cuz it was canonical AT THE TIME, I headcanoned Dirk as homo and John as hetero to be canon compliant. And then for personal headcanons I had Rose as asexual, Jade as straight, and Dave is a closeted bisexual. I got a looot of shit for thinking John and Jade straight, and a really angry person insisted Dave was homosexual (he wasn't, like Billy he's shown attraction to women through both action and words) not bi. But someone really really hated that I felt that Rose was asexual and called me homophobic because I felt she wasn't a lesbian.

Not a good time, really confusing because Im actually gay I just didnt think the whole cast was, and it's why I dislike fandom on tumblr. You can't be honest with anyone.🤠

oooh ok RIGHT NOW i don't know what any of those words mean bc i wasn't on tumblr when homestuck was big, but i've been planning on doing a readthrough for a while so i'll let you know what i think of those headcanons lol

in general though, i think headcanon discourse is reeeeeally stupid because most likely, none of this is ever gonna be canon anyways so let anyone think what they want to think. tbf i don't have a problem with people disregarding canon either, but to attack somebody over your headcanon, ESPECIALLY when it's directly contradicted by canon, is just incredibly unnecessary and silly to me

2 stars maybe? Im not great and i forget a lot of things. but no one can stop me from writing and i enjoy it. the more i do it the more i may like my own writing one day

2. Why do you write fanfiction? Fanfiction is everything to me. It was a matter of time until i started writing it seriously for myself.

3. What do you think makes your writing stand out from other works?

Literally nothing. I tend to go off with ships and specific things i want represented... but thats it. anyone can write.

Always! so many! the best thing about fanfiction is how it builds upon itself and spreads!

Im very proud of Secret Baby/ River run. Its large and a mess and i hate it. But im proud ive done it. A completed one im proud of is "Compress said its his turn on the murder screen" i think i did well with that one and kept the tone I wanted.

Arguments between characters and having them express themselves other ways.

Expectations! its a collaboration i'm working on with a friend and a DabiHawks fanfiction again! It's a fic where they fall in bed together before they even like each other. A lot of assumptions are made and not a lot of talking gets done until quite a bit of Damage has been done. Hawks finds out that Dabi's been doing some things he wasnt comfy with just because he didnt know how to tell Hawks and because he was attached to him. It's messy and won't get less so.

interesting to write to say the least because im such a Zero tolerance person.

Yes a few times brought on by comments! What if Hawks ran in to Dabi early on or if Dabi had stayed and talked to Hawks the last night they spent together. None of it ever really goes well? Dabi has no support besides his Significant Other in both of these and i dont like that.

Nope! Ive been getting the hang of NSFW and i feel like that's one of my biggest areas to improve on!

Every time i post lol. Im pretty comfortable with a variety of things! there's been times in this roleplay i participate in that i was very uncomfortable with how my character was acting but that was the entire point and it turned out well considering the outrage he kept causing!

Best of both! ive also taken a shine to writing things that out of story context are fluff but in context are horrendous angst!

I've had such a kind fantastic audience but i wish they would pay some more attention sometimes to why i have characters do things the way they do. Hawks leaves Dabi alone? theres a reason for that and the awnser is not to stalk him. even for Dabi's saftey.

Dabi dosen't meet Rumi like expected. He expected to just get taken out by her in a fight one day, if they met at all. Not him cleaning his torn staples in Hawks bathroom after he's been shoved in there, Rumi having interrupted a blowjob and Hawks had roughly shoved him in his bathroom. He couldn't hear much of the conversation going on outside. But what he could made his face burn with embarrassment as he tried to put himself together. The fact that she was also a Hero and Hawks best friend made him nervous. What a great first impression, sucking her best friends dick with a bloody face. -" NOT DATING-" Hawks voice broke through for a moment and then quieted. -"I DON'T GIVE A DAMN IF HE'S A VILLAIN KEIGO, HE WAS JUST GIVING YOU A BLOWJOB THERE IS NO ." There was a loud thump as Rumi was yelling and Dabi let himself flinch here in private. She quieted down soon after she had started yelling. Dabi sat down against the sinks cupboard and rested his head on his knees. Waiting for it to stop and Hawks to kick him out. He wouldn't actually get to meet Rumi as Keigo's, well as Keigo's anything. It was just sex between them on Hawks end anyways. There's stomping towards the door and Dabi scrambles up as he resists the urge to lock the door. To lock himself inside like a child thinking it will save him from Enjis rath. Hawks is.... he's not kind to Dabi, but he's not Enji either. The door opens and Rumi's gaze finds him as he's getting up. He ducks his head and gives a little half hearted wave, not sure what she's doing. Why she's looking at him with a gaze much softer than expected. "Hey. Sorry I walked in on you guys. I'm Rumi. Hawks best friend he's been hiding away from you." "I uh. Um. Dabi? I go by Dabi. I think it's more like I'm just his dirty little secret." He gives a small dry chuckle and a smirk, a tad on the mean side like he did with Keigo. It came out a little to real and he winced. He sounded like a whiny asshole, he thought as he kept his gaze on his bare toes digging into the tile. "Dabi, I doubt Keigo thinks of you like that." Rumi reaches her hand out and Dabi tenses in anticipation of her grabbing him. To harm him maybe? To throw him in cuffs? Out of Keigo's apartment but he has no doubt that he will be there soon enough after Rumi leaves. "Its fine. I'm just a villain he can sleep with ya know?" Rumi gets a determined look in her eye as she draws her hand back, having noticed him tense up. "I'm going to give you my number Dabi. Villains don't any resources and I don't like how Hawks treated you when I walked in. If anything happens, I want you to have a way out. I don't think you've told your friends who your sleeping with. Or you would have teleported out of here." Dabi hands his phone over still in shock to Rumi and she gently takes it. She's still super confident in person but, there's no violence or anger from her. Its... suprising.
