Okay this has been a long time coming but we need to talk. People not posting fics or polls regarding their fics or asking for requests should not be posting in the woso x reader tag.

Frankly it’s annoying to spend hours on a fic and then have it pushed down and covered by people shitposting in the tag where us writers get the most recognition.

Writing fics takes so much time and effort and it’s honestly discouraging to go into the tag right after you post only to see that someone has posted some edit that they haven’t even made or some other bullshit. Also I just want to add that there’s a repost button in TikTok so if you want someone to know you like it PUSH THAT BUTTON AND THEYLL SEE IT.

And it clogs up the tag massively which makes it harder for us to have our works seen.

That’s not even to mention when you have to scroll through a quadrillion posts just to find a fic and then when you’re done reading have to scroll through a quadrillion more to find the next one. It’s time consuming and irritating.

I’m not innocent by any means, I shitpost all the time but at least I do it solely on my page for my followers to see, and I don’t clog up the tag because I know how annoying it is.

And listen, I recognise that many of the people doing this might be new to this whole thing but please take my advice as someone who’s been on this app for a while and stop posting unnecessary things in the tag, both for the writers and the readers sake.

So, I figured I post it here since I shitpost about DBH and Gavin Reed anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️😌 things I have found myself and what is interesting about DBH & Gavin Reed in specific:

1. Detroit PD considered a big one (in life and in the game), since they have their own SWAT team (also according to chat GPT - SWAT members are working in the same place as Connor and etc - Captain Allen, and a cop from the march of peace)

-there is a one finished cigarette in every trash bin around the PD (because it’s one model of it). It’s, I guess, suppose to reflect how cops usually managing stress (it does reflect reality, considering many agencies try to promote healthy lifestyle, and make officers smoke less. But they still do of course)

2. Gavin Reed:

Eyes: Grey

Height: 180 cm (Average for American man)

Complexity: Fit

- According to chat GPT it’s possible that he have grew up in gritty neighbourhood in tumultuous family environment: drinking father (factory worker/ex cop) who vented his frustrations at home due to which there were heated arguments. This environment made him determined to escape it and make something of himself. Possibly, he had to work from a young age to support his family - this forced responsibility at a young age contributed to the development of a hardened exterior. Also, that would explain his dislike of Hank’s alcoholism and unprofessionalism, and inability to form friendly connections.

-He possibly worked/works/was training for SWAT unit. There is a cap on his desk that looks like what real-life Detroit SWAT’s can be seen wearing (such can be found on Po. Wilson too) (patrol cops don’t wear a round ones in-game). Also, I looked up - what is suggested for real SWAT members to wear the answer is - “base layer shirt”, it looks exactly like what Gavin Reed is wearing. Such, can be also seen on a Robert Lewis. (In real life it’s possible for detective/sergeant/lieutenant to be a member of a SWAT team). Also Gavin’s overall fitness and reactions, reactiveness (while fighting with Connor he could dodge the bullet. What even Captain Allen couldn’t do)

Or, else, this type of hat can be just reference to real-life DP:

-He’s the only one in the office who has file on his desk “request a criminal record” (this document is needed in investigation to request criminal record about the suspects)

-his desk also has a clock that looks like a police award for job excellence, but it says “polcy officer” (I suppose developers could not place the whole word/or they didn’t expect someone to read that much into details)

-Crime scene: in Eden Club, he says “wasting your time. Here’s some pervert that had more action that he could handle”. He’s smart, otherwise he wouldn’t work as detective. Stating that the guy is a “pervert” he’s indicated the guy died due to chocking fetish especially considering “got more action that he could handle”. (Obviously he wanted to brush off this job and not have anything to do with android cases. Also drive Hank and Connor away so they would fail.Their failure would mean total annihilation of androids including those who killed a guy, so it’s only logical to interfere, it would be killing two birds with one stone) (btw have you noticed the guy killed - is the same guy who was on protest against androids and pushed Markus if you were to pass next to the crowd?)

-Authority:

He dislikes authority due to being “The debater” (ENTP) these people have an ability to confront old, unnecessary rules that do not work, they shake/give in a doubt to an outdated notions. If he would ever have a respect for someone, it’s not due to them having a status (being superior in position), but due to contents of their work/personality.

-Hank and Gavin:

Captain Fowler hinted that all other cops are overworked, so THAT’S the only reason they give Hank the android cases. Hank is 2-3 years having a drinking problem, not showing up for work/or showing up late. This is obviously unfair, the work of Hank often has to be distributed among other cops - which can be a cause of distress. Also, even with being such unprofessional (we love Hank but let’s face it) Fowler closes his eyes on such inappropriate behaviour. That, and dislike of authority, I see as the main cause for Gavin’s hatred towards Hank. When Hank draws a gun at him in interrogation room (which is a huge violation and is seen as unprofessional conduct) Gavin says: “you’re not gonna get away with it THIS time”. So, it’s not the first time! Imagine someone getting away with EVERYTHING just because he’s friend with a captain! Also, the prove of all that, the first one on the crime scene is Gavin while it’s Hank’s call (there is a Night Shift rotation among detectives. But also, calls involving androids should all be on Hank). So again, Gavin has to take Hank’s job and show up to the case he has nothing to do with. So his feelings towards Hank are fully justified. Neil Newbon have suggested that Gavin looked up to Hank (due to Hank being a good, profesional cop before death of Cole) and got frustrated and resentful with him due to seeing reality of things.

“Neil Newbon suggested in interviews that Gavin Reed's admiration for Hank Anderson, another character in "Detroit: Become Human," eventually turned to frustration and resentment. He speculated that Reed likely looked up to Hank as a mentor or father figure but became disillusioned when Hank didn't meet his expectations or live up to the image Reed had of him. This shift in perception could have contributed to Reed's negative feelings towards Hank.”

It can be, but I feel like someone like Reed doesn’t care for an authority, he looks up to himself instead. Although, he might have had a respect for Hank’s achievements (being the youngest lieutenant in Detroit’s history) previously and seeing Hank as a broken man might’ve contributed to his negative attitude towards Hank for sure. So, while I think it’s not entirely based on that, it definitely could have affected his relationship towards Hank.

-Other relationships:

“Ambitious and unapologetically arrogant. He has garnered the hatred of his colleagues in record time. Ruthlessly ambitious, Reed will do anything to advance his career, even if it means treading on other peoples' toes. His hostility to Lieutenant Anderson is common knowledge."

That’s why he’s mostly seen around rookies (they’re most probably the only ones who can still tolerate him/work with him due to their fresh-rookie enthusiasm) other than older colleagues, because “He has garnered the hatred of his colleagues in record time” (the reason why he goes around with Chris Miller who doesn’t work long in Detroit PD)

Rookies are less likely to confront him directly. He has it better with them for this reason, it’s not necessary due to them not posing a threat, but due to his lack of social skills and unwillingness to dive into everyone’s emotions. He probably has a hard time making deep, meaningful connections.

Tina Chen is always quiet around Gavin. He speaks with rookies and is relaxed and friendly with them unless they question his judgement and/or authority (there is his show of positive feelings for Tina - that can be indicated by how close he stands to her and trying his best to entertain with a story, articulating and smiling. There is a whole range of emotions we haven’t seen with anyone else). Possibly, he doesn’t perceive Tina as a threat for his career advances or reputation, so he’s generally treating her nicely. Doesn’t mean she appreciates his aggressiveness towards Connor (she’s genuinely shocked when Connor was hit in the stomach). But she definitely respects him.

Gavin treats Chris worse than Tina. Again, because they have to do things together. Because Gavin bosses him around, the last doesn’t appreciate it much. In interrogation room he’s irritated with Gavin. But it seems at the same time Chris respects Gavin’s judgement despite him being an ass. Chris helps him around when Gavin’s PC is broken (if you stay long enough in PD Chris will start helping Gavin with broken PC)

Where the difference of his relation comes from? Tina vs Chris?

With that being said, it’s not rk800, rk900 because it goes against what defined the character - competitiveness around men, hatred towards androids. Doesn’t mean he dates/likes Tina Chen, but probability of this is a lot higher than of all else.

Style of relationships: ENTP’s prefer fast pace, it’s hard for other people to adapt and keep up with their energy and thought process/ideas. Considering Gavin’s energy, his appearance and his flirty/adventurous nature + work demands/shift graphic + inability to form friendly/meaningful connections he would most probably lean towards ONS or friends with benefits other than long lasting relationships. Doesn’t mean he’s unable to commit/or change if the right person comes around.

-Leaving Detroit

ChatGPT have suggesting there is 70% chance that after successful peaceful revolution Gavin would leave the town. By my own observation- people don’t change easily, he has no reasons to stay or to change (no given motivation) consider how deep of a beliefs he has. It’s not only a hatred, it is based on his fearfulness of being unneeded, useless at work “what, machines gonna replace us all, is that it?”

-Provocation:

He does provoke Connor to get rid of him - let’s say you have a robot that is there to replace you, wouldn’t it be convenient if you push it a little, make it break, so then claim it was defective? That’s why Gavin looks for every opportunity to see a glitch/defect, to detect deviancy - to stop mass production of “android detectives”. He sees this as mockery, a parody on a real thing. And since work is the only thing he sees himself doing/enjoying, giving it away this easily is not in his character, as he stands up against whatever there is. So his actions are only logical. After all the first thing he says to Connor when sees him:

“So, machines gonna replace us all is that it?”

Also considering prior to Connor’s arrival an android took a girl as a hostage which only shows the danger of android deviants, especially one like Connor - who has access to PD system and has an enhanced body/system

It’s also proved by Detroit wiki:

“He believes that androids do not have feelings and that androids should obey humans without question. In addition, he probably feels threatened by Connor's presence, due to androids replacing people in jobs, subtly concerned that it is only a matter of time until androids start replacing him”

According to ChatGPT - Elijah Kamski is responsible for deviation. My opinion from what I have seen is almost the same. When Connor and Hank arrive to Kamski, he said he has his OWN test to understand if Connor is a deviant. If he created the test to identify deviants, this means, that of course he knew about them beforehand (possibly the reason why he haven’t seen eye to eye with Cyberlife and left it years before). Now, was deviancy a natural occurrence? Yes and no. As technology progresses it’s only logical to add more and more features, one of them could’ve been a trigger for a “new program” that is a deviancy, so it’s both of unnatural and natural cause. It’s clear that Elijah despite doing things for other people, is cynical and doing many things for himself, out of his own interest-curiosity, for his own entertainment (like purposely giving to Carl Manfred - Markus - android, that would deviate out of Carl’s calm, creative, loving nature. I believe at this point for Elijah is like a chess game). Also, a prove that Elijah is responsible- his models are NOT deviants (he check on them regularly), it is also clear due to how they act, they’re not “modern” androids.

All this proved by Elijah Kamski having “Kamski test” that suppose to detect deviancy. That means he knew about deviants from the very beginning (remember he has left CEO of Cyberlife position 10 years ago).

8-bit aka the most traumatized brawler bcuz of starr park. Anyway im using he/it for 8-bit here

First things first, 8-bit is technically mute, the only thing that can come close to words that 8-bit can emit would be the voicelines that are installed in it. So he would like you to be patient, and maybe learn sign language for him? Maybe?? For your boyfriend?

Protective and kind of jealous but not in a toxic way, actually kind of cute. Every time you're talking to someone he holds your hand tightly with the funniest(and cute) grumpy face.

Such a softie, it tries to please you as much as possible, of course, it has its own limits, but still 8-bit tries. For exemple, 8-bit barely gets anything other than grilled bread or anything that can be heated in the microwave, but if you ask for some food the most he'll do to you is a mac 'n' cheese with beacon.

8-bit loves hanging out with you! Arcade, beach or just playing a game at home, quality time along with protection and loyalty are his greatest ways of expressing love to you.

You're probably one of, if not the only person 8-bit actually allows to use his games, he's quite hesitant at first, but over time after he sees how happy it makes you, he got used to it.

Before I get into it I just want to give a disclaimer: this is not a personal attack on anyone or me trying to gatekeep Danny Phantom. I am simply just airing some frustrations. This is all my opinion based on what I've seen from the current state of the fandom.

Also I'm writing this at 1am.

Now that that's out of the way, I'm really frustrated with the way this fandom acts at times. I've been a fan of this show for around 10 years now and only relatively recently came back to the fandom after being away for a while. It's nothing like what it was when I first got into the show, and I think that comes from the fact that a lot of people in the fandom haven't actually seen the show and have only read fanfics. And that is where I think the problems start to come up.

Now, ok, the show isn't for everyone. It's loud, has flashing colors, and certain parts haven't aged particularly well since its run from 2004-2007, and that's perfectly understandable as to why someone wouldn't be able to watch the show. I'm not faulting anyone for that. I only take issue when someone has a popular headcanon and a majority of the fandom acts like everyone agrees that it's canon and then get all up in arms when someone says they don't like that particular piece of fanon. I know in the grand scheme of things it's not that big of a deal, but it really bothers me whenever I see something like "I love how we all agree that [fanon]" or "so we all know how [fanon]"

Little things like ghost cores, haunts, obsessions are whatever I don't care that much, but when it gets into the territory of replacing fundamental aspects of the source material is where I have a big problem. See, I got back into Danny Phantom because I wanted to explore a darker take on the story that's a little more grounded in reality, but when every other thing is angst or torture or just treating Danny like a punching bag (most of the time written out of character), the idea really started to lose its luster ans made me hesitant to share my ideas.

The biggest issue I have though is with Wes Weston. Gonna be honest: I never liked him. I thought he was unnecessary from the moment I saw him. Then someone (I'm so sorry I forgot who it was) pointed out that Valerie was the perfect character to fill the role of the skeptic that tries to expose Danny, but the fact that the fandom wanted to focus more on an unnamed background character who happens to look like Danny was very telling.

Obviously I'm not saying that if you like using Wes that it automatically means you're racist. There's more nuance than that. I think what Wes does reflect though is just how much of the fandom just rejects the show? How so many people probably didn't even know about Valerie because perhaps she just wasn't in the fanfics they've been reading? Hell, I see more focus put on Dash than Valerie sometimes. Another one-dimensional white boy minor antagonist instead of a complex black girl anti-hero who is probably the best antagonist Danny has in the show AND the best love interest.

Also the overabundance of DC crossovers where Danny gets adopted by Batman are really annoying. I blocked every possible tag that could've gone with the crossover, but still somehow whenever I go through the main tag one sneaks through. Seriously between Frostbite, Clockwork, and now Batman why are y'all so obsessed with giving him a new father figure when you can just give Jack a better personality. Oh right because then you won't be able to write him vivisecting his son if he actually cared about him. Silly me I almost forgot!

Anyway thats why I only follow like 5 dp blogs and like 2 of them dont even post about dp most of the time. And schnuffel-danny my partner in chaos and shitposting. Gonna start a petition for a Danny Phantom reboot on the CW and make it the most edgy cringy shit ever and it'll have blackjack and hookers and Wes Weston is not invited.

Reed900 is not inherently toxic nor abusive. Not only does Rk900 not actually have any character/personality, but also, no where in my post did I ever suggest at Gavin getting abused, nor did I ever suggest it would be funny. Abuse is not funny. I simply pointed out the fact that 1. Gavin hates androids, and 2. Shipping him with an android is a hilarious response. I find it curious why your mind turns to abuse. What on earth makes you think Rk900 would be abusive? Y'all are the same ones arguing we make shit up by hyperfixating on his character - which is true, and we're allowed to do it - but you're doing the same by just, for some reason, assuming it'd be an abusive relationship??? Come on.

No where did I say you had to ship Reed900. I just questioned how more Gavin Haters didn't find it funny to do so. Because, as I said in my tags, which you clearly read, I used to hate Gavin too, and the only reason I shipped Reed900 in the first place was because I thought it was hilarious. Because it is. Nor did I say you had to invest your time. Invest your time in whatever you want. I could not care less. But clearly you like investing time in hating Gavin somewhat, or you wouldn't have bothered to anonymously whine about a shitpost in my asks. You'd have simply moved on. If you hate Gavin so much, block the Gavin tag. That's why I tag him. So Haters stay away.

I never said disliking him being gay was homophobic - but every person who's attacked me before for calling him gay have been homophobes and that's what I was talking about in my tags. I understand there are people who don't want Gavin Reed to be gay, because they hate Gavin, so they don't want a character they hate to be gay. That's fine. I get that.

I do appreciate your acknowledgement that fans can develop him into something greater. I'm breaking apart your arguments, but that's a good stance to have and I'm glad you have it. He was used as a plot device, nothing more, so fans do what they want with him. If you don't want to care about him, that's fine. But ultimately, it was a shitpost, and I'm tired of constantly having to argue an unnecessary point to people who take me way too seriously. You don't have to ship Reed900. I just think it's funny to think about, even jokingly, shipping a character who hates androids with an android. That is all.

So, to keep dunking on Pathfinder/3.5e and also for lack of a better term...indie, looser systems, I do have a handful of reasons why the systems themselves don't sound like things I'm into but more generally the reason I keep making cheap jokes is because the way people sell these systems is so antithetical to what I want out of TTRPGs. Which doesn't mean they're not good, or that they're not right for other people! But god...you are not superior for liking something other than D&D 5e, you are just a person who isn't into that particular experience and if you want to get people to play other games...learn to fucking sell it.

The crunch of pathfinder has some appeal, because I do love math and rules, but it always feels like the arguments go like this.

"I can't figure out how DCs in 5e get set!"

"well, the DM sets it based on a rough estimate of difficulty, using their brain; the DM's Guide gives a scale broken down by 5-point increments that you can use."

"What? You mean I, an inveterate metagamer cannot find it by adding up 8 numbers based on the weather, my class, my feats, active spells, and the migration patterns of nearby birds in a process that brings the narrative to a screeching halt?"

Well, in 5e you are allowed to ride things without being good at dex on the grounds that the average normal person in a pre-industrial society would probably be able to sit on a horse (animal handling is also an option). You can play a halfling paladin by playing a halfling whose class is paladin, and if you cast summon steed a reasonable DM will allow you to flavor said steed as a celestial wardog. You do not need special abilities to...turn around? in 5e? damn you lived like this? and sure, you can have a spear or lance as your weapon. I guess charging doesn't do much in 5e (the charger feat exists but isn't amazing) but like, you could do it.

Like, seriously, so many posts are like "I don't see a ruleset for how I can confirm I was able to drink my coffee without dropping it on the floor? 5e seems bad" and in general 3.5e/Pathfinder appear to treat your character as a Sim or something, where if the ladder disappears from the pool you're just like "guess I'll die" [note: I haven't played either 3.5e, Pathfinder, nor the Sims but like. I'm right.] And if you want to play this that's fine! Crunch can be very fun! but god it's unnecessary and it seems like there are too many rules for the sake of just like, having rules.

Moving on to the looser systems, the "just a d100" or "just a d6" ones that "foster more RP": so many of these "foster more RP" by having systems that actively corral the conversation, or PC emotions, instead of just...letting people talk. I actually find things like Monsterhearts "turn someone on" mechanic or the sanity mechanics in Call of Cthulhu really off-putting! I'd rather be allowed to respond to things genuinely, in character.

"But M," you say "that's kind of the point of Call of Cthulhu, the sanity slippage." And you know what? You're absolutely right! Because that is where my point is leading:

The TTRPG game you pick should be mostly based on the kind of story you want to tell, and anyone who ignores that in their considerations can themselves be ignored.

I happen to enjoy Dungeons & Dragons because I enjoy that particular form of fantasy in a quasi-early renaissance* setting, and I would, perchance, like to explore a dungeon and maybe even fight a dragon. I do not want to be dealing with horrors beyond comprehension**, except in the sense that I'd like to smite/disintegrate/viciously mock them. I do not want to pretend I am in high school again, under literally any circumstances, even if I can hex people. I like fantasy combat because I am both simmering with incandescent range basically always and yet I cannot typically act on it*** and I'd like to be able to save the world through hitting things with a sweet-ass sword or casting. Hyping up a system because it lacks combat is absolutely the wrong tack with me.

And if you don't like that it's fine! But I have yet to see someone actually make an argument, to me specifically, for a different system, that actually accounted for even a whiff of my own personal preference and honestly at this point the damage, while not irreversible, is pretty severe; my attitude towards anyone trying to steer me from D&D 5e is pretty cynical.****

#5- Leviathan 'Despair' Fanart

Oh my god drawing that was a pain, I did draft after draft and I was in so much agony coloring his table. But the song was so good my inspiration was on fire the entire time. You guys won't believe how happy I still am from the amount of feedback I recieved out of it. It's a simple fanart, but I felt I managed to send the exact feelings I felt from the lyrics and imagining Levi to all of you, and that makes me really proud no matter the imperfections ♡

The ammount of attention this one recieved in just one single day of being posted was NOT expected. It was again, just a moment of epiphany, and then I had many people screaming and crying in my notifications and all I could think was "oh god I broke them are you guys okay what the fuck is happening". All I had in mind while writting was literally just what they do when you're not looking, and only after some people comented on tags about the yearning this post reeked of that I realized what I wrote 😂. Literally inspired by the shitshow that is the photos both me and my brother take. The Life and Times of That Wine Guy

I’ve spent enough time on the Internet to think that I can tell a shitposter from a genuinely weird person.  But recently, an account has been plaguing my timeline that has been blurring that line: @thatwineguy68 

His first tweet was on January 25th, and since then he has posted multiple times a day (he tweeted 10 times in the first day alone), all usually following the same format.  A short, vague comment about how much he loves wine that reads similarly to something your grandma would put on Facebook, rife with unnecessary hashtags.  Then, two images: one, a simple stock photo of wine.  The other? His ghastly visage.  A smile composed of teeth that are just slightly too big, in a mouth just slightly off-center from where the outline of his goatee would suggest the mouth should be.  Eyes with pupils so dilated that the whites are barely even visible, outlined by eyebrows that form perfect semicircles.  Perfectly featureless skin like a porcelain doll. A shirt so crumpled you could have told me he did a magic wine spell to take the wrinkles off his face and put them in his shirt, and I’d believe you.  Ears that seem to be getting sucked into a black hole.  Nose that has been airbrushed out of existence.  The fact that it’s a car selfie.  (EDIT: I have since been informed that the picture is a heavily edited version of someone else entirely’s profile picture, which has been used with permission.)

Some of the tweets were blatantly not true.

On January 28th he made an obligatory Stonks reference.

As the tweets went on, he eventually began developing a bit of lore.  On February 3rd, he first mentioned his now ex-wife, Melissa.

Eventually someone began roleplaying as Melissa.  A quick scroll through her account reveals that That Wine Guy’s full name is Chandler Johnston, however it’s impossible to tell if the person running this account is officially in on the bit or not so I have no choice but to deem this as non-canonical.  

As he dwelled on his failed marriage, he had… an epiphany.

He would officially come out two days later

Overall this had little to do with anything.

What would end up changing the direction of the account, however, was his contemplation of the ultimate taboo: can a man… become wine?

Much as he had consumed the wine, he now was consumed by the idea of being wine.

On February 9th, he announced that finally, the time had come.  He sealed himself away in a wine barrel to become one with the life-giving elixir he had so dearly cherished.  His pinned tweet is now a simple gif of said wine barrel, dimly lit by flickering candlelight.

Some would say that this is the end of That Wine Guy’s story.  However, a quick google search says that wine fermentation takes about 2-3 weeks, so something tells me we’ll be seeing, or perhaps… drinking? more of him soon.  And some might say that to have him come out, only to disappear two days later counts as the “bury your gays” trope, but again, this isn’t death we’re talking about here, this is a rebirth.

So here we are, raising a glass of that red stuff (yup, that means #wine) to you, That Wine Guy.  We wish you the best of luck in your transfiguration.

I chose it cause I definitely wanted something animated/a gif, probably from an anime. I also wanted it to be pink to go with my pink theme. And so waves seemed fitting and I found this one that just fits perfectly! I love how it looks like the waves lap into the actual background because the colors are so similar!

I hadn’t been using it as frequently but recently I’ve been on here a bit more! Maybe once to three times a day!

I haven’t! Not that I remember, even online I’m scared of confrontation LOL! I know that I have a private post that I made which is reallly long responding to someone that said some unnecessary stuff I disagreed with but I didn’t have the guts to post it publicly!

15. How do you feel about ‘you need to reblog this’ posts?

I don’t like it when posts have that or are being too aggressive with a “you’re ‘this’ if you don’t reblog” cause I don’t want guilt-tripping to be the reason for a reblog.

also it makes my ocd act up and I become anxious if I don’t do it or don’t want to reblog cause I feel like something bad might happen and I don’t want anyone else to feel bad because calling people things will only diminish the real meaning behind those words and actual victims of those kinds of people, and make innocent people feel bad about themselves in the end.

I do! It makes me feel good when I get tagged, I love it! And I really enjoy reading what my mutual said and then responding with my own things!

I do! But I’ve never done it personally although I would like to!
